She should have some sort of personality flaw or mechanism to keep peers at arm's length and it should take her more than ZERO TIME AT ALL to get them under control and find her way back to her normal self. I couild even suggest a way that they could have done this that would've been fun, in-character and on theme for her larger arc: Karlach the Mad Dog. Imagine if how she coped with working for Zariel and amongst truly evil beings was by "mad dogging" all of them. Imagine if her initial personality was to be overly aggressive, first to swing, reluctant to ask or answer questions. Imagine if she threatened to "FRICKING GUT YA M8" when you tried to make a choice she hated? Just for a little while after you first meet her mind you, because I do think she would be able to come back to baseline relatively quickly especially given the context and circumstances of the game's plot.

I never cared much for this character. Honestly I found it hard to really give much attention to the group outside of the three people I had in my party. I feel like that's a small hiccup in the game's design. Only Four party slots and like 6 party members including Durge/Tav, which turned into Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Astarion (The Actually Fun group) and then Wyll, Gale, and Karlach (The Losers). But then it always felt dumb when I was talking to someone, realizing halfway through that the person or moment was really important to someone not in my group at the moment and I could either save and reload so they could be there for what was obviously their moment or I could just keep going then go to camp and have to fill them in.

I've promised myself that I will play this game threating characters like they threat me, even if it will make me kill like all of them. I don't give a frick anymore, I'm tired beyond belief when devs lock fricking content behind behavior of a good samaritan.
