zero reasons for playing on a handheld and same goes to the goycattle conzoomers here too

Absolutely fricking not, the way Xbox has been for a long time it's going to be a dedicated Game Pass handheld. I already have that, it's called a Retroid Pocket.

Too bad so many games are stem deck compatible. Even some shitty 2g games will crash on it, and Palworld always crashes on mine after about 45 mins

To be clear for the eslanons this anon started laughing so uncontrolablly when his Steam Deck arrived in the mail; he began shitting himself until his bowels were completely empty. This is a serious condition and he is most likely hospitalized.

Why would I? Every other company already jumped onto the Steam Deck knock off train. If I needed PC games on the go, I'd buy one of those.

  13. 3 months ago

Depends on cost and how it accesses my game library. If I can buy a game and use it on pc, Xbox, and handheld without paying extra, sure.

  14. 3 months ago

If i can put steamos in it maybe. I‘ve never had an xbox console so i would need to build up my library again and i don‘t care for gamepass either

  15. 3 months ago

Sure, if it can play new gen stuff and has actual games, otherwise I'm rather buy a second hand Switch

      Anonymous

It'd probably be the same power as the Series S so for new games it'd run at 900p 30fps.

        Anonymous

        Is that bad?

Not bad at all if games really do run similar to series s and battery life isn‘t completely terrible. But that‘s a big if

        That‘s better than the deck

Anon I... I don't even hate Deck or anything, I have one, but the community recommended configs for recent games are running them at 480p usually.

              Anonymous

don't neglect to mention you're running things at 480p for "free performance" with upscaling, it's how i run stranger of paradise at 1440p even on my desktop (run it at 1080p instead and upscale it with AMD shit)

How did that turn out anyways? It was a collab with Nokia iirc

windows phones blew absolute fricking ass, there was so little interest in the idea that the default web browser was the best one (there was exactly one other browser in the app store with a squirrel icon), sideloading apps from other platforms was incredibly convoluted if not impossible and it was part of their attempt to have windows as a "unified platform" with windows 8 looking the same across mobile and desktop to desktop's detriment

Presumably microsoft would sell the handheld at a loss which means performance is gonna be better for its price than other pc handhelds

So, uh, "Xbox Everywhere" would be a great tagline for a MS handheld. Maybe we misinterpreted a few things.

Don't forget Xbox products have 2 types of advertising on the UI
      >HEY THIS IS GAMEPASS, GET IT
      >THIS PUBLISHER PAID MONEY TO TELL YOU THIS GAME IS OUT
And they are all over the Xbox UI. Like you buy a $500 Xbox Series X or a potential $400 Xbox handheld and you get these ads. Like getting slapped in the face constantly.

as someone who owns a series x and has played Xbox since the first console released, absolutely not. I can’t name 5 games worth owning an Xbox for and I’m not even sure there are 5 exclusives total

  29. 3 months ago

Maybe, but I already have a steam deck. I would be fricking stoked if they made some type of windows game mode (call it windows Xbox or some stupid shit) so I could put it on my deck and have easier access to all my games.

  30. 3 months ago

Yes, but only if it has a good battery life. Ally and Steam Dick have shit battery life, so good battery life would be the obvious edge it could have over the competition.

I’ve wanted an Xbox handheld ever since the 360 but nowadays it would suck ass cause it would just be an Xbox Steam Deck-like device instead of a dedicated handheld with its own library like the DS or PSP
