Based, I'm sure us switchchads will get to play starfield, AC6, Diablo 4, SF6, Hogwarts Legacy, BG3, RE4 remake, Jedi Survivor, FFn, Dead Island 2, Atomic Heart, Lies of P, and Payday 3 in just two more weeks!
latching onto PC chads once again like anyone who has a pc capable of running minesweeper buys worthless tablets
Having both is more common than you think. anon. >Not having an OLED for comfy handheld situations then switching over to an emulator for docked gameplay
When did he even mention emulation? I literally spent my entire morning downloading Wii games from Vimm’s Lair and I also own a physical Wii and many physical Wii games. Not everything is so black and white
>hogwarts is literally releasing on switch in two months >the best version of diablo 3 was on switch, and 4 will likely be on switch 2
In any case, I've never really understood this argument. Why would anyone want to play a game like Starfield on a 7" screen? Even if it runs perfectly you're still going to be missing out on the experience playing it like that. Lots of games are great in handheld, but the fact that a handful of big AAA atmospheric games aren't on the system is kind of a moot point.
It's good because it sets a precedent of what to expect from the Switch 2, if it doesn't get OLED by default then you instantly know it's not worth buying because if they don't care about the display why would they care about performance/storage/controller etc?
I still have my original switch I got back in 2017. I always said “I’ll upgrade to the oled eventually” but then again I play docked like 95% of the time and at this point the Switch 2 SURELY will be announced soon anyway
I'm just waiting on Steam Deck OLED at this point. I considered a Switch OLED but honestly input latency is atrocious on the Switch version of almost all multiplats so I'd rather stick it out for the Deck revision that will have an OLED screen
I just wanted to know what the input lag is like on the new screen. Because the LCD screen of the original Switch isn't very suitable for games, according to some tests I saw on Youtube, you have about 4 frames of input lag, at 60fps, in basically any game, when playing in handheld mode (if you plug it into the dock you can reduce 1 frame of input lag).
4 frames at 60fps means that every time you press a button you have to wait an average of 60 milliseconds to see the action reflected on the screen, which is double what you get in Super Mario Bros 1 on the NES, running on a CRT.
Yeah, it's enjoyable thing for games, Snoy. Not that you'd know what those are.

switchchads all have the pc + switch combo so they're not missing out on anything

I might need to make the switch. I'll wait and see what Nintendo has coming up before making a final decision.
>unironically asking your neighbor to use his rig just to take this pic
kek what a loser
If you guys all have PCs, then why do you decry emulation as evil? Why do you call people PCvegans if they talk about emulating games from the Switch?
Something doesn't add up here.

I hope so.
>Proceeds to post nothing but slop
switch 2 will have every single one of these games btw
>hogwarts is literally releasing on switch in two months

The only game on that list that's actually is interesting/fun is Armored Core 6.
Literally none of these games besides MAYBE Hogwarts Legacy sound appealing to me, and I already have that game on my PC.
Enjoy your LShartD steamcel!
It's worth the money if you play handheld, yes
my og switch can already do that. I just don't see how the 33% jump in price is warranted anywhere
>a better screen, better audio, more space, better dock and a better stand for just 100 bucks more? that's a steal!
- Better colours, blacks actually moron black and not grey shit
- Bigger screen, smaller bezels
- Higher quality speakers
- Actual good kickstand
(Regular Switch - £280 & OLED Switch - £310)
Totally worth the extra £30 when it launched.
Where are you getting the extra $100 from? Are you comparing a pre-owned Switch to a new OLED model?
It's good because it sets a precedent of what to expect from the Switch 2, if it doesn't get OLED by default then you instantly know it's not worth buying because if they don't care about the display why would they care about performance/storage/controller etc?

If it's closer to the colors the artist intended the colors to be, then that's worth it for the price increase alone.
it was my first switch, besides the morons are moroner

>>pays an extra $100
it's actually only an extra $50 and its still better than the Steam Deck
Oldest are marked everywhere for $350 while the switch dropped to $250.
Oleds* fuk my phone
I have a Steam Deck which receives no use because OLED Switch looks better.

>>"Wow! The colors pop a whole 10% more and the blacks are blackerer!"
No but casual retards who fancy themselves tech wizards did.
