I was in the same situation as you. Then I resubbed. And after just ONE week, I knew that retail is currently at best the same as private servers. The spark is gone.

OP here the reason I can't stand private servers is mostly because of the caliber of people I have to play with. Most of them can't speak English and some behave as if the game is their own personal toilet. Global chat is full of spam. Not to mention the game is glitchy as frick on every private server.

yeah and he missed it. more than usual because people hit the level cap of 25 in a day or 2. it's wow, you know how that shit goes. if you're not fully decked out in blues from the raid then good luck getting into a group for it.
Fresh is fun, but after ~5 fresh experiences, it lost its novelty. Competing with 500 other people for every quest objective yet again becomes taxing.
But then again, joining an old server with dead leveling zones, and neets who have had years to create a complete stranglehold on the economy, gear, gold, etc., that sucks too.
