They're not going to release the game with 10 dungeons and then add 10 more on top of that with patches because they're resourceless, talentless hacks. M+ is a bandaid fix for their own moronation. It's an endless content generator so they can focus on making raids for a week-long sponsored world first race.

The last one went on for 3 weeks and they've spent months since nerfing everything because normal people can't kill it.
Whatever the length is it's not worth it for anyone besides Blizzard and the top 0.000000000001%. I've gotten cutting edges in 3 tiers and it was fun, but I'll never go back to that again. The repetitive, autistic nature of mythic raiding doesn't beat variety. I'd rather have 2 fun, sloppy heroic raids per tier rather than 1 precisely crafted mythic raid.
On top of that mythic isn't that motivating for me when the last boss of the tier is shit. Denachad was the GOAT of Shadowlands. I simply quit after """killing""" Sylvanus on heroic before my guild managed to drag me into mythic. The Jailer is an even bigger disappointment and I'm glad I didn't come back at all since 9.0.

I wish they'd ditch linear progression. Its a scam to get you to play a tiny morsel of content each patch. The only thing they splurge on is some jank ass gimmick as a feature to market that likely won't survive or last. This time they're trying to copy the gw2 mount system. Really sad shit. They do the bare minimum as much as possible and some worthless executive pockets the profit.

My friend is a raidgay who likes his guildmates so progressing mythic and doing M+ isn't a chore. Other than that I have no clue why anyone would keep playing this. It has to be sunk cost fallacy or roleplaying.
