WoW's high end content was and is always shit, classic or not. The only redeeming thing in this game is the leveling experience, and it fricking sucks in retail
Classic leveling experience isn't even that good. 797697 fetch quests (sometimes with low drop rates) barely any decent stories, shit rotations, mounts are far too expensive...
The only exciting parts are getting new gear, new spells, talents and doing dungeons

Casual content in WoW is pretty bad. I'd only recommend the retail version if you're interesting in the high end PvE scene.

always was. low keys, LFR/normal, world content. all rewarding in their own way and they're very easy

you can solo everything. during timewalking you can queue for old dungeons but they're normal dungeon difficulty level, as in, extremely easy
to collect shit you can just solo old stuff. everything up to mythic antorus is soloable. shit, depending on your class you could solo stuff that is even more recent
tldr: you can progress in the game regardless of your skill level and its only going to get better with delves next expansion

No, WoW doesn't have old content scaling like FFXIV does. Timewalking exists but everything is piss easy because you have modern classes

no, WoW has dedicated timewalking weeks where an expansion gets featured and you can queue into that content with other people, but its still easy
they're trying to do that with fated, where they rotate old raids weekly for new rewards and everything is scaled up, but that's limited to current expansion only
they did say they're looking to greatly expand timewalking, so we'll see
mythic+ made casual raiding pointless which was the only good thing in the game
Yeah, i just pugged 6/9 heroic earlier and it went ok. Also currently trying to push 17-18 keys. It's pretty nice, also the new zone is the best in all of WoW.

Oh well time to start a whole new batch of characters on a Horde dominant server.
The casual content is either farming cheevos or doin overland stuff. The later is done in a day or two. Retail is all about M+ and Mythic raiding. Even normal and heroic raiding gear gets outclassed by M+ very quickly. I tanked till ksm, it was an ordeal not because the pve part being hard but the people running it.

I gave 3v3 pvp a try this latest patch and most people just kick you from their groups if you lose a game, not friendly at all and most of the pvpers seem to be people that have been playing for years and only want to play with other experienced pvpers. I'm at the point where I don't even want to git gud because the people in the pvp community are just cancer

Retail raids are more challenging and have more gameplay than the whole classic experience. Imagine playing classic, doing 8913273897981237189 fetch quests to level and when you reach the "end game" you have to farm piss easy raids where it drops 4 loot for 40 people and most of the raid groups use gdkp system, a system that benefits RMT players. Classic wow is garbage.
