WTF? I feel like this completely defeats the point of classic. Cata is what changed the whole world map and shit. Won't this just reignite the drive back to vanilla private servers?
Which is why they are also doing SoD. And when that fails they will do a fresh classic vanilla. Cata classic costs them basically nothing and there are plenty of moronic people that want it.
For some reason I’ve been having blizzard nostalgia lately. I remember when everyone around me, including myself, would say that Blizzard was the best gaming company in America.
At least we can all laugh at blizzard when they kill their game for the second time with the same shitty expansion.
People will definitely come up with some historical revisionist cope about how it wasn't actually that bad without realizing exactly how buggy this piece of shit was. Blackwing descent was a travesty
I dropped wow during the original lich king expansion and I see bits and pieces online of this "classic" version but I still don't have a faintest idea how it's different from normal wow
wrath is just a beta version of what would become retail but no one wants to admit it because they hyped up wrath for years and they'll feel stupid if they call it bad
They play on the final patch of every expansion (with dripfed content so it's not all available at once) which means most of the crippling bugs that people remember aren't there.
But yeah there's no real difference
Blizzadrones are so dumb they will look at xpack which took game from 12mil to 8mil and will invent copes how its actually good. Compltely mindbroken, buckbroken, demoralized subhuman troglodytes.
Why even play it? You do realise that game will only get worse from here on out? From one xpack to another it would be worse and worse and worse, never better. Are you kind of morons which cope about bfa and shadowlands classic being good?
One thing they fricked up with in Burning Crusade that they kept up is bypass content.
In Vanilla, if a new raid was released you had to progress through prior raids to get the gear necessary to run it, for the most part. I think maybe some shit like AQ 20 was doable with a lower gear requirement, I can't remember.
Point being, progress felt like progress.
Then BC comes out and they establish questing greens that are stronger than all but Naxx level gear because to sell the expansion everybody has got to be stronger.
I get it, you want every player to buy the expansion and not have to be forced to clear old 40 mans to play.
However, the structure could have been handled better by only having expansion content bypass maybe the first couple of raid tiers, or perhaps just scaling every old raid into the new end game.
Even in BC by the final raid tier they just invalidate everything by releasing a 5 man to bypass raid content within the same expansion.
Expansions shouldn't be handled like a limited streaming episode of a TV show, they should have been actual expansions to the total game experience anyone can enter at any time.
The quest greens were stronger because they had to be. They had to be stronger than items at level 60 because that's how the game works. They just happened to be stronger than some 60 purples because every item needs to be a little stronger than the last but I still think you're exaggerating a little bit. Purples weren't replaced that often while leveling. I know I still had some MC items when I hit 70 after classic
TBC was actually really restrained on catch-up mechanics till the last patch (coincidentally right before wotlk). If guilds were at T6 and you were fresh, you still had to go through the previous content and gear up. It's the opposite of catch-up
no they shouldn't have but I blame that more so on wrath than I do TBC since it happened on the very last patch. Still, most of the expansion was relatively catch-up free. You could argue ZA is catch-up but it's only as much of a catch-up as ZG and AQ20 are
I didn't play cata so i can't comment on the quality of the raids or whatever but they sure made the word ugly as hell. The pop culture references and badlands being turned into a shithole are just awful. There's also weird pixel density issues on the gear.
Yep. Blizzdrones are quite literally walking, talking NPCs. It took you this long to realize this?
They should have called it Classiclysm
WTF? I feel like this completely defeats the point of classic. Cata is what changed the whole world map and shit. Won't this just reignite the drive back to vanilla private servers?
>he says, blatantly disregarding the Cata-era private servers that have been, and are making money right now
Anon.. if players subscribe for it, it is free money.
classic era still exists
Which is why they are also doing SoD. And when that fails they will do a fresh classic vanilla. Cata classic costs them basically nothing and there are plenty of moronic people that want it.
Yeah, catababs are plenty.
I liked the Cata raids. Well except for Dragon Soul. It was shit

>I remember when everyone around me, including myself, would say that Blizzard was the best gaming company in America
Because it used to be true
So what is the point of Classic anyway if they're going through every fricking expansion
>what's the point of getting to choose which expansion you want to play
Money
They are literally hyped for classic with retail abilities made by the retail team
it's just a stepping stone to get to MoP classic and remastered WoD+
If liked wotlk you'd like cataclysm. Cataclysm is basically wotlk +
Oh I played this when I was a little kid, fun times.
At least we can all laugh at blizzard when they kill their game for the second time with the same shitty expansion.

yeah that means cata is going to have post nerf heroics
fricking lame
Every "Classic" has been that. Last patch of vanilla is particularly funny
Blizzadrones are so dumb they will look at xpack which took game from 12mil to 8mil and will invent copes how its actually good. Compltely mindbroken, buckbroken, demoralized subhuman troglodytes.

Hopelessly addicted
Every expansion is worth playing for at least a couple months.
my favorite expansion is TBC
Literally nobody asked for this nor celebrated it.
"Vanilla was the best! it's all we want!"
>90% of players moved on as soon as an expansion dropped
>marvel movies are the best productions

Magisters Terrace was the major frick up though, they should have never designed bypass 5 mans.

meh, everybody knows it's just MoP waiting room. it will be short, just play sod until panda kino is out.
