This is a really shit way of trying to gauge how many people play, considering that Blizzard made it so that you'll never see more than like 50 people at once due to sharding, back in BfA.

do you have any idea just how much it takes to get a mythic raid clear? It's not just a matter of gather up some random bodies and you'll get it eventually. You need everyone performing at absolute top tier levels of performance to get a mythic full clear of a raid while still within the season where that raid is current. Trying to gauge whether WoW is active based on mythic clears is just stupid.

Don't worry. They are making it even worse next patch. Mythic raid gear is equal to LFR of the new tier which buffs M+ even more since you can spam it day 1 to replace every single mythic raid item that you grinded 6 months for in a single day.
No they don't, a +20 gives mid boss heroic gear and a low mythic boss item from the weekly vault that you have no determinism over and will have bad stats because raid gear is given statlines that you can't get elsewhere now
Malygos in WotLK was absolute garbage. On paper it sounded cool to be able to fly around on dragons, fighting another dragon. In reality you're just hovering in one spot, spamming 1 button, then moving a few feet to the side, occasionally press another button, and repeat.

Raid gear is statted better, raids have braindead overpowered trinkets and weapons that are 20%+ better than any dungeon drop, they time gate tier sets for 2 months where you can only get them for raids, all of the m+ dungeons are 10 year old dungeons now and severely imbalanced, I could keep going
