Meanwhile, Cayden Cailean: >lmao dude that was sick high five and welcome to the pantheon, come hang out some time I'll show you my favorite bar in Absalom.
What the frick is she wearing on her chest? Looks like a metal plate and a fabric tunic at the same time, one shoulder is covered and another isn't, deforming as fabric would but then shines like it's solid steel the rest of the armor is made of. Why would you draw it like this?
Angels can't even turn into Devils in Wrath, that's for Azatas.
Which makes no fricking sense at all, but I don't think Owlcat really understands Pathfinder. Just look at how often they interpret alignment in moronic ways.

First of all, you get a skald party member(you can make daeran/ any lvl 1 pm into one) and get greater beast totem power - pounce. Then you pick cavalier and the aspect of schir, cavlier gets double damage on charge on lvl 20 and some other bonuses while aspect of schir gives you increased str modifier on charge. You can also add dual wielding and shared geniekind + elemental barrage for the absolute rape
>charger-raper
Sounds like a ton of fun to spend like 10 minutes before every battle to tardwrangle yourself into a position where you can actually get a charge off, sure.
Since he's a Demon he can use demonic charge to get wherever he needs to be to do a normal charge again, a trampling charge feat would be great though that lets you just trample enemies in your way. Some kind of incorporeal charge that ignores terrain and walls would be neat too.
Legendary proportions and long arm makes your melee range longer than the minimum charge charge range so you can just charge and if it doesn't die, just charge it again without moving. Even in real time, you can set charge to autocast and forget about it.
Definitely start with Kingmaker, better pacing and going from Wrath to Kingmaker will make you miss classes and feats and stuff that they added between games.
Gold Dragon is the most nonsensical of the paths. It has no purpose or role in the story. It should be remade in the EE as an exclusive "redemption path" for someone who took one of the evil ones, but stopped themselves from committing actual evil (CN Demon; LN Lich etc.)
Devil should be remade in the EE as an early/mid game evil path. It makes no sense it comes into play so late, since both the Church of Asmodeus AND Cheliax are openly taking part in the Crusades.
I don't know what the frick you do with Swarm, since there's no reasoning for any character to go down that path, with the exception of someone like a worshipper of Lamashtu.
Not to mention that the forces of Hell/Cheliax would immediately try to get a hold of such a powerful asset as soon as it presented itself. That's the whole point of those Devil contracts.
I didn't know Swam was the "frick everything" path
I tried to go Swarm as a LE "Usocial Insects are the ultimate form of Order" sort of thing.
When I realized what Swarm was I was sad, though not surprised.
They could introduce devil as soon as you shake hands with Regil.
That's what I was thinking
Like just probing him about the hellknight initiation and getting a side quest to summon a devil and whoops, Mephistopheles comes instead of whatever fodder you were supposed to fight
>redemption path" for someone who took one of the evil ones, but stopped themselves from committing actual evil
that's exactly what it is, devs said so.
They could introduce devil as soon as you shake hands with Regil.
>make LE asmodeus worshiper >choose azata to go devil because I like the abilities more than aeon >alignment change >alignment change back as devil >i was pretending the whole time
I dont know if this was based or cringe. Seems kind of dumb that the devil option isn't triggered by an asmodeus worshiper

Mostly build autism and there are parts of the story that are actually enjoyable. The way they implemented the mythic paths pretty much ruined the game for me though
>why do you guys like this game so much?
for me it's because i've always loved this style of rpgs (P:T, IWD, NWN1/2. BG1/2) and wrath (with kingmaker) scratches that itch: story is decently written (though kinda messes up in a few places), characters are mostly interesting, the build variety is actually amazing with wrath being a literal power fantasy
>outdated, generic and just overall bad
can you explain why does it seem that way to you?
The combat is satisfying and build variety is unmatched. The writing is admittedly bad, but it feels extremely earnest, so it becomes more forgivable. It's also an incredibly ambitious game in many ways, which I don't think it gets enough credit. Having 8 unique mythic paths to go through that change the story in a big way is insane. Also insane, is hiw many classes and subclasses they implemented, all the animal companions you can take and mount.
power fantasy
mental masturbation is my shit
fricking love this shit
also what other game but skyrim/dominions allows you to play an actual fricking lich? or a swarm that walks?

Not really
If you don't want to bring seelah along pick paladin for the mark of justice. Mutt warrior if you're only concerned with dps, Warpriest is a bit tankier since he has a spellbook
Maybe he's talking about that other ghost in the ruins that drops some kind of pit spell you your group. That can be a quick step into disaster when you're lower level and unprepared.
I'm gonna wait for the new DLC and a few patches beforw trying to beat this again so to pass the months I'm going to finally beat Kingmaker. Any advice/must-haves or prepwork for important decisions or kingdom events?
>Pick Shandra Mervey for emissary. >Don't take mayor's loan offer. >Build bulletin boards/avaries/ teleportation circles/mage towers in every city as soon as they become available. >Other buildings only if you are a couple points short from advancing. >Build villages in provinces bordering your capital as close to it as possible, to cut down on travel time. >Build the village in South Narlmarches as far west and as close to Pitax, make it your town and build a mage tower there. >Always support artisans and make their quests high priority, because they provide best endgame gear for you. >The artisan in Varnhold requires you to not dissolve its militia.
Finish the main kingdom problems first i.e troll problem ect, then you'll have 200+ in game days to do whatever until the next main event, also don't waste your GP on buildings save them for researching curses/building new towns , the bonus the buildings give you is super insignificant and a complete waste of GP, only build the necessities like buildings for special crafters or buildings that serve a purpose such as a tavern in the capital other than that
>also don't waste your GP on buildings save them for researching curses/building new towns , the bonus the buildings give you is super insignificant and a complete waste of GP

We know that she was about five foot two in height, thickly made, muscular, and very strong. Her eyes were far apart, and somewhat prominent. Her hair was black. She was reasonably good-looking, but by no means pretty. Her complexion was distinctly dark. She had a red birthmark her left ear, and was gifted with a low, sweet and compelling voice. That is absolutely all we know of her physical characteristics. >With these tasks, one might expect Jeanne to have rough hands, dark skin from spending so much time in the sun, and strong muscles. It would be expected that a future soldier must be tough and sturdy in order to lead the life which she led for herself. >Consistent accounts are given that Jeanne’s hair was short and black, that she had brown eyes and her complexion was dark and sun-burnt
though depending on where you search some tard might say she looked like some blonde haired, blue-eyed, fair skinned girl like the fate depiction
You don’t get merged spellbook but you still gigabuff your undead followers and it ties well with bard, so if you’re not playing unfair or whatever you should be fine
Ah okay. I'm playing melee focused Dirge Bard btw. It's pretty fun so far, but I do hope I'll get more spell slots for Lich spells. Also the first time I used Corrupted Blood scared the absolute shit out of me.
Any ideas how to build a druid? I guess Aeon is a no brainer but I was thinking about going Legend and creating some unholy Fighter/Hunter/Druid/Monk shapeshifting abomination
If you go Legend you'll have to decide if you want to keep Brutality Incarnate or Master Shapeshifter, I'd probably say the latter but it's up to you. Stat-wise Mutagen Warrior would go well as the second class if you want to focus on shapeshifting, you could throw in a monk level but you'll probably have plenty of AC anyway.
I haven't played Aeon but it looks like it can go with anything. Angel would get to merge spellbooks, which would get you some extra spells even if you go Legend, while Trickster would give you access to the extra improved critical line which also stay if you go Legend (although you have to take the feats before going Legend).
You have to balance your actions. Like my lawful good angel goes mostly lawful when it comes to crusade management or anything concerning truth and loyalty, while being good when it comes to interpersonal manners or acts of mercy outside of manners of law. You're not required to always pick one of the alignment choices, there's almost always a neutral option, too, if the flavors don't fit your palate.
Don't you need to stick to certain alignments for your Mythic path? Or is that just related to class restrictions like Paladin, Monk, Bard(?, unless they don't require non-lawful still), and Barbarian.
Mythic path alignment restrictions allow for one deviation from the mythic choice. Just don't drop off too far.

I didn't think alignment mattered for mythic paths. What do they do if you are not the right alignment?

No idea, really. They may force you back in line with some dialogue choices or you lose your powers until you get back on the proper alignment similar to Paladin, Monk and Druid.

I'll have to try it, I remember reading that your alignment didn't matter for mythic paths. As an aside Monks don't lose their powers if they turn non-lawful, they just can't take more Monk levels. In tabletop I've done a Monk/Barbarian build before.

Multiclassing in tabletop is fun, since even if you're inefficient you can work around your inefficiencies.
Multiclassing in CRPGs is a gamble.

Yeah, I'm not necessarily advocating that for this game, it was actually 3.5 and the rest of the build was Fist of the Forest/Warshaper/Bear Warrior (since you could use unarmed strikes while polymorphed in 3.5). The campaign wasn't very serious.
I multiclass all the companions as hunters for the free animal companion so I can just attack move everyone in real time through the shield maze in like 15 minutes and then dump them all as soon hit the tavern for custom mercs.
I went sorcerer because it was my first playthrough, I knew nothing about the paths(except how to unlock Swarm), and wanted to use Aeon to unlock Swarm.
Because I had hoped I could go full "Usocial Insects are the ultimate form of Order" Lawful Evil as Swarm. I wasn't aware it was the "frick everything" path.
Sorcerer as Aeon worked alright, but there are probably better combos
I haven't played Aeon but Inquisitors combine their bane with it, so you get the better Aeon bane with extra uses per day based on how many you get from Inquisitor. If you want to focus on your character's damage Sanctified Slayer could be pretty good.
Like [...] said, Inquisitors are the best class for Aeon much like Oracle is with Angel. Sanctified is basically an upgrade over default inquisitor and is probably the best archtype with Divine Huntsmaster a close 2nd
wait they combine/merge? or is just similar to demon rage/primalist rage stacking?

Based spymaster
Yeah, the one downside to doing Inquisitor/Aeon is that their spell lists have a lot of overlap. On the other hand you'll probably want to use the Aeon Mythic spells for its slots rather than the regular spells so it shouldn't be a big deal.
Oh my friend aeon is the most build autistic path out there. You can get Elemental Specialist/Elemental Bloodline Ice, to convert all spells into ice damage. You level it and then get a dip into vivisector with a feat that gives you bonus sneak attack die. Then you qualify for mythic trickster and spam rays until you’re level 10 in MT. Now the fun begins, get ascended element ice and fire, elemental barrage and lay two sirrocos: fire one and ice one, they proc elemental barrage and your sneak attack die, and your allies don’t give a frick because aeon has that gaze where aoe don’t work on his allies, or you can get spell master wizard to 14 and get extended metamagic, get your transmutation cl to 25(there is a scimitar +1, a headband, mythic specialisation, and aeons gaze) and get enduring spells 2. Congratulations, now you have 24 h perfect form and the game is over. Or you can go with that Cavalier class that gives attack of opportunities and stack it with attack of opportunity gaze and the gaze that makes you always roll higher than 3
I haven't played Aeon but Inquisitors combine their bane with it, so you get the better Aeon bane with extra uses per day based on how many you get from Inquisitor. If you want to focus on your character's damage Sanctified Slayer could be pretty good.

>spent more time theorycrafting than actually playing
I wish I could just play 2H Fighter and don't give a frick about anything. But I'm a huge homosexual that cannot be satisfied with such a simple concept.
The roguelite dlc is coming soon. Then you can assemble parties of your own design to go romping through random dungeons. Theorycrafting to your heart's content.
Seelah is a Mark of Justice dispencer , so there is no reason to bother with it that much. On the other hand, there is a longsword that lets you cast smite and mark on neutral enemies and also radiance
I had to look her up. She's just one of the slaves in that camp after you kill the Technic League guys. I ignored her. Seemed a worthless background NPC.
The two DLCs they've released so far have been pretty lame. The first one is a max level adventure that makes no sense storywise, half of it is essentially one big shitty teleport puzzle, and it literally has zero relevance to the main story. It has a fun bit when reality starts to get fricked up and you start meeting characters from paths you didn't take in the main campaign, messing with Mephistopholes as a dickass Trickster was funny but overall both the story and the NPCs are lame and it has no party interactions at all. The only reason to play it is to unlock some bonuses for the main campaign. I played through it with my "all enemies commit sudoku as soon as combat starts" Trickster build which made the whole thing mercifully short, but I won't ever play it again even though it has like four or five endings.
The second DLC is better than the first in that it's more of an actual roleplaying experience that's at least tangentially relevant to the main story. It's kind of the opposite of the main story in that instead of powertripping throught the story, you play a bunch of low-level nobodies just trying to not die. But it's still kind of meh since you have to play with a new character and party that are irrelevant to the main campaign (it takes place during act 1 of the main campaign but you don't interact with the main party at all), and it ends on a literal "TO BE CONTINUED" just when the story starts to diverge so it's obviously sequelbaiting.
I'm hoping the third DLC will be the best one, since it'll be a roguelike dungeon like the one they did for Kingmaker, which was my favorite DLC for that game just because it was a fun way to test out loads of different builds.
>The two DLCs they've released so far have been pretty lame.
>no new companions >no new quests/content for the main game >no new races/subraces >no new classes/archetypes >no new mythic paths or expanded existing paths >just two short stand-alone campaigns that have no relevance to the main game apart from taking place during specific parts of the story
What the frick were they thinking?
I don't see a need for new races or classes, there's already a lot of variety as it is. Expanding existing paths + adding new quests/content to the regular campaign would be the best choice IMO.
>I don't see a need for new races or classes,
I will never stop complaining until they add the Summoner class. It's one of the more unique classes in the tabletop game and with the way they expanded pet functionality in Wrath I really thought they were going to add Summoner which relies heavily on having a customizable pet, but no such luck.
Pets were jank as frick on release, with incorrect scaling, missing abilities even on the ones that were fine in KM, etc.
Mounts are still kinda jank, afaik.
Summon AI is still hot garbage, fricking azatas will attack your party with lightnings and/or kill each other.
Summoner could work as a merge with Azata and Lich too, where Aivu could replace the Eilodon and maybe the Eilodon could replace the undead minion. Adding a new possible Eilodon evolution for different mythic paths could work as well, e.g. celestial for Angel, holy-type dragon breath for Gold Dragon, etc.
god i just want a DLC that actually expands the main game, why are owlcat so fricking obsessed with mini side stories that don't involve the main charecters in the slightest
this is why the wildlands was the best, Tiefling Twins are best girls and they simply expanded the base game of kingmaker (if only by a small fraction)
Best case scenario is that the EE does some expansion of the mythic paths, unfortunately I doubt it will rework the whole game to make more of them available at ML3. It's too bad the secret endings are "secret," they could be a good starting point for a really high-power DLC, demi-god campaign isn't exactly something most games could include.
That's generally what people do with Camellia since her subclass gets the Magus weapon enchantment feature. I vaguely recall a patch nerfing the way it triggers so its only every other attack but I might be thinking of Tabletop Tweaks.
"it's okay, even though i am the goddess of righteous warfare and protecting the world from demons, i think that you, the best and perhaps only hope of saving the world, shouldn't be forced to save the world even if you want to, so you should just go back home and die from old age instead of risking yourself"
i wish there were more options to frick over the gods in this
at least as Lich you get to personally btfo Pharasma now when she attacks AND you can tell her to personally frick off in the ending if you ascend mom
but i really want to get even with this dumb b***h Iomade, either she is as arrogant and prideful as those that follow her or she is truly moronic
Get even for what? b***h doesn't do jack shit to you.
Well, other than hurting your feelings I guess. >Give up your powers >No frick off >Ok >REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I NEED TO GET EVEN WITH HER HOW DARE SHE
What's the best mythic class for a tank orientated shield and heavy armour wielding Hellknight Signifier build? Replies calling me a moron for attempting an obviously bad build are welcome.
>calling me a moron for attempting an obviously bad build
It's not completely moronic, but keep in mind that heavy armor tanks are significantly worse than unarmored tanks in these games. Armor simply doesn't scale as well with the ridiculous powerlevels you can achieve, and you miss out on broken shit like mythic mage armor which only works if you're not already wearing armor. Especially if you're going to be a spellcaster, you lose more than you gain by wearing armor.
That aside, for a tanky Signifer build I'd go with Aeon, Angel or Lich. Aeon -> Devil would be very thematically appropriate for a Hellknight. Lich and Angel are great for an arcane-based of divine-based Signifer build respectively.
Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking Angel, though it does not seem quite compatible with playing a Hellknight. The problem with Devil, which the EE will fix if we're lucky, is that by the time it unlocks the game is practically over.
>broken shit like mythic mage armor which only works if you're not already wearing armor
Mythic armour only really becomes much stronger than heavy armour (with two levels of heavy armour training) towards the end of the game unless you character has insanely buffed dex. With 12/3 or 12/2 mythral heavy armour, which you can find in Act 3 & 4 from memory, you can get superior AC on some characters.
well, if you're going to be an int caster you can check out lich
But since you want to be based you'll become a legend, won't you anon?
>10 Hellknight/10 Signifier/10 Armiger/10 Warpriest Shieldbearer
You might be on to something.
>Angel [...] does not seem quite compatible with playing a Hellknight
Ìf you go for a Cleric/Signifer build and lean into the Lawful angel of vengeance side of the path (rather than the Good angel of mercy) it would work fine.
It just too bad Owlcat removed the Catechesis ability from Signifers for some reason since that's the main reason (outside of RP reasons anyway) to make a divine casting Signifer on tabletop.
Demonslayer/Hellknight Signifier could be interesting too, you can take Order of the Nail and get +12 damage total against a class of demons (I don't remember if Gallu are under Magic or Strength), and the ranger spell list isn't bad.
>obviously bad build
I mean you missing support for divine caster and Signifer mask. But outside of that does this guy doing anything differently compare to EK?
>pet is walking backwards and attacking with its ass >main character is invisible except for the weapons >exit and interact icons disappearing from areas >whole area is a black screen but you can still play and see the outlines of characters when holding tab
Alright I think I'll wait for the EE bug fixes
there's an achievement you can get but it's requires you to both do the defenders heart defense and keep the beer cart intact as well as you'd have to have saved every person at daerans party
other than that, no, you get all the loot and exp handed to you directly

Headcanon? It's stated clearly that personal planes of Deskari and Bathomet are merges as your new realm. You can argue that oldest demon lords like Pazuzu or Dagon can be a treat for the Commander, but Nocticula doesn't have a chance. You just need to kill her before she runs off to Elisium.

Because she canonically becomes the Redeemer Queen.
They just said it's Ember's fault in the game.
Yes, but if you make right decisions, it's obvious that innate characteristic of her son's souls had merged with your soul into one. You are not him, but you're her creation and her child. And she is my creator and my mother. I love her and would never disappoint her. And she is more beautiful than the Impostor.
Speaking of which, I think it would've been really cool if they let you play for a while as the old you as the prologue of the game, before being kidnapped by Areelu. It'd end with you getting jumped by demons and then waking up at where the game starts normally, with no idea what happened in between but finding out during the course of the game. This would drive home the idea that you were just some random unfortunate idiot who got dragged into Areelu's bullshit, while in the current opening you're basically already the result of her experiment and you're given absolutely zero reason to give a single frick about who you were before.
Based because she go against will of the gods and world orders, debased because allying with demons. Still i forgive her, as she give supreme power juice for me, as well as my companions and my beautiful wife Galfrey (Iomedai cucked beyond repair), and as i forgive her, she ascend too, so even the Pharasma can't threat on us.
Depends on whether you're playing Kingmaker or Wrath.
In Kingmaker a DEX build is slightly worse. It does less damage in exchange for more AC, but you'll be able to reach high enough defenses even as a STR build that the difference isn't very relevant for most of the game. In Wrath it matters even less since you can fix the DEX build's damage easily enough. The tradeoff is mostly that a DEX build can safely dump STR but a STR build probably won't want to completely dump DEX meaning you'll have to spread your points a bit thinner, while on the other hand DEX needs two feats (Weapon Finesse and Weapon Finesse (Mythic)) to break even.
why does Magus (Eldritch Scion) suggest i pump dex and take weapon finesse? does the "cast & attack" thing hinge on two weapon fighting or something?
im completely new to this class
Unlike what I wrote above, for non-SS Magus builds DEX is often a better choice than STR since you won't be able to pump your AC as high without multiclassing. STR builds are still completely viable but they'll make the early game harder since you won't get your ability to cast in heavy armor until halfway through the game, and being a melee character with low DEX and light armor makes you a very soft target. You can mitigate this fairly well with the right defensive buffs, but it's definitely more vulnerable than a DEX build.

How much fun is Lawful Good in this? I'm near the end of Kingmaker and Chaotic Neutral wasn't as fun as I expected, so either I'm going Boy Scout or Degenerate Shitlord
Oops I'm a moron, I missed that you were talking about Kingmaker not Wrath.
In my opinionCG is the most fun alignment in Kingmaker. LG tends to lean too heavily into the Law part and not as much into the Good part for me, but if you like exterminating lesser races and executing criminals on the street it's still fun.
Crusade is not circus, so no to Azata and Trickster. Crusade is not your personal army for fulfilling your sadistic/necrophiliac fetishes, so no to Demon and Lich. Angel and Aeon are true paths.
I tested grenadier and here are results >arcane bomber and grenadier bombs dont stack (a change from Kingmaker) >undeground chemist allows you to deal sneak damage with bombs (only on initial target) >pretty much none of the mythic feats/abilities directly impact bombs (only generic stuff like weapon focus - bombs)
As such I think the best way to play grenadier is to go Legend Grenadier 20/Underground Chemist 20 and pick up Extra Bomb feat 25-30 times. Ultimately you will end up with close to 200 bombs or even more, I can't be arsed to count.
Now the question is what mythif feats to pick. Any ideas? I've been thinking about ascendant element fire so that you can use explosive bombs 90% of the time. Is there any generic mythic feat that upgrades sneak attacks?
There's a mythic sneak attacker feat that adds 1d6 more sneak attack, not limited by HD (so you could have 21d6 SA at 40 HD, unlike the non-mythic version). Taking Last Stand from extra mythic ability is always a good choice.
Good choice. She starts out kinda awful but her romance gradually becomes really sweet.
Just remember not to pander to her too hard. She doesn't like it when you feel sorry for her or try to protect her. You basically have to point out her problems without trying to fix them yourself.
And I think that even Camelia is less insufferable. You can understand what Camcam want despite her love for secrets. I'm incapable of understanding what Wendu really want.
>I'm incapable of understanding what Wendu really want.
She basically wants to feel safe and not have to prove herself all the time. At the start the only thing she gives a damn about is power, because her whole identify is built on being the strongest mongrel, the most cunning hunter, Savamelekh's best servant, etc. But that's mostly just a way to cover for her own insecurities as a mongrel and the whole situation with her father. The first time she opens up about this is when you get her drunk at the demon bar, and later on you can get some info from Sull which leads to finding out more about what drives her.
Wenduag's romance isn't so much about just doing what she wants, but more about getting her to admit to the things she wants instead of "rar I need to be the strongest".
Asuka's greatest sin is being rude or whatever, she did not cannibalise anyone. Also she'd have charisma of 16 at least, not 6

Yes, obviously. But despite different upbringings, both Asuka and Wendu motivated by desire to be the best. Most powerful, most influential, most sexually desirable and so on. And if the post about Wendu in her romance is correct, both are insecure deep inside despite actually being exceptional girls.

Is playing pure Demonslayer for a first playthrough a good idea? t. kingmaker veteran
Feels like a good class to just right-click through the game. If so then what's the best supported reach weapon?
>Is playing pure Demonslayer for a first playthrough a good idea? t. kingmaker veteran >Feels like a good class to just right-click through the game. If so then what's the best supported reach weapon?
Demonslayer is great and OP. There are so many great weapons in the game it's hard to say which is the best. Plus there's Finnean, which can become whatever you want + Brilliant Energy.
There are tons of glaives in the game since it's Baphomet's favored weapon (I think), right at the end of the first dungeon you get a pretty good one. With that said a ranger doesn't really need to take weapon focus since you don't get the effective fighter levels to take any of the rest of it, improved critical is good but you could also hold off on taking that until you've gotten to +5 weapons and found one you like.
Is it just me or is the tank selection pretty shitty?
You get Seelah and Camelia from the get go but that's pretty much it .You don't get unkillable slab like Valerie
I'm using TabletopTweaks that adds a few new mythic feats and abilities. With them and proper itemization old gnome can easily get a proper AC for the late game. Armor from champion's room in act 4 is the most important part. And with the hammer from calamity dragon he can do real damage.
>I wish he didn't look like a goofy ass gnome
Don't worry because you, me and Regil all agree on that, and he more than makes up for being a filthy gn*me
Camelia is cute and you can always romance her some other time. Aeon must be above such things like sex, after all. I'm pretty sure his penis falls off even before complete transformation.
and it's not in your inventory afterwards? I remember back at release you had to loot it on the ground immediately after shooting baphomet but now you get dialog with nocticula and can get it that way. if you don't want to do the fight over just cheat it in with toybox
yeah I know, I was making a comparison because I thought owlcat would've patched all situations where you have to manually loot it like that during combat by now since they did it once before
I remember when I first played that I thought that Wendaug was trash because of her stats. It was only until when the game spoonfields you her build by giving you axe throwing mongrols to kill did I realise that she's made for throwing axes.
Going back to Lann after using Wendaug feels so bad.
Lann makes a good drovier. Three levels of zen archer, one level demonhunter, rest drovier with boon companion. Greater animal aspect for everyone, bark skins and other boosts, some buffing for the animal companion, all while he stands back out of the way plinking at targets with the bow.
This is perversion, just like all other min-maxed multi classed builds. The game can be finished without big problems with pure leveling for all companions.
>Wendaug was trash because of her stats
How is someone with 20 dex , 16 strength and 14 con trash?
How the frick can you not adjust that to any kjind of decent to great martial build? Having only ok wis for mental stats limits some build options a bit, but still.
One of the patches changed those puzzles so the symbols always face the same direction even if you rotate the tile. I think you have it in the right position.

I don't even know how to minmax Nenio so I'm sure you can get the DC much higher than this through multiclassing shenanigans.
Figure out how expanded arsenal works, pick mythic paths with dc bonuses like demon and aeon(azata is irrelevant because you can get morale bonuses from a court poet, lich gets high level spells early and has a huge debuff to saves with corrupt magic but no actual dc mechanics). I would recommend you not use phantasmal killer at all and use actually fun spells like sirocco, less you want to feed the frogshitter's ego

She is not that powerful compared to the juggernaut that was Aroden. She became goddess only recently. She is no primordial force like Desna or Asmodeus.
Put it down until the roguelite dlc before you burn out completely. Then you can rol characters as often as you like and test them out without suffering from kenabres fatigue.
Anon. My autism knows no fatigue. I just keep thinking of a neat build and restart. I've steeled my resolve though, deleted my lvl 12 lich bloodrager/sorcerer and am pushing forward through with a cleric/angel build. Already through maze too 🙂
I also have a restarted lich bloodrager/sorcerer build that's through the maze as well.
I really wish they would put more effort into weapon animations and how the characters hold them. Glaives really trigger my autism when the characters are holding them like greatswords halfway up the it's length.
You get an extra combat feat if you go Fighter 2. It's worth it up until you're level 20 and miss out on Quarry as a move action. If you're going Trickster you definitely want the extra feat regardless.

I forgot that weapon specialisation mythic was a thing when I made this post. You definitely want Fighter 4 to get this. You lose one sneak die, but weapon spec and mythic weapon spec more than make up for it.
i have done Kenabres so many times that i went from liking it to hating it to liking it again

NTA But there's a medallion you can find in one of the abandoned houses in the market (don't know which one) and you can have the storyteller repair it. If you do it will give you an aura that makes every allied weapon good aligned and cold iron for the purposes of bypass reduction.
You can also give galfrey the amulet back
Not sure when you played or why you thought they were bad, but one of their basic additions was a basic gaze to boost AB and how gaze DC works.
Aeon works with everything, but is not the best at anything.
Gets kinda moronic for spellcasters at mythic rank 9, at least.
recently started up the game and with that mod that allows you to customize character models I discovered aeon finally has a final mythic transformation now that matches the in game portrait instead of the 2 spinning things around your head
Assuming you're going Arcane Trickster for sneak die stacking, it really does. You're still doing decent damage with Hellfire Ray during the early part of the game, but when you get Hellfire Ray and sorcerous reflex for two Hellfire's in round one, you disintegrate any single targets.
Playing on normal I complete shit on Playful Darkness without any minmaxing or even divine buffs.
what bothers me is that im getting nothing from the mythic path until 5 hours away from the ending. until then im a slightly more min maxxed ember. having to burn 4 feats on crit stacking for rays when I could have been power tripping as Azata since mythic rank 4 just sucks ass.
wish trickster did something for DC casting so I dont have to bother with this bullshit ngl.
Trickster is more supportive. While your caster wont be as strong, your companions benefit from being able to equip better items and have the powerful crit feats.
Before my current Arcane Trickster Trickster I went melee Azata, and let me tell you that it sucked complete ass form start to finish.
>Trickster is more supportive.
Not really. Its just tailored for martial characters. Theres nothing supportive about it, youre just unable to use your own powers.
Taking off natural 1 from the party and making it natural 20 is kinda moronic, considering the amount of rolling for everything.

yeah and there is a thing called opportunity cost. if you pick world 2 at mythic rank 4 it will be your only power worth a damn for most of the game. people seem to think that trickster just walks around with their entire portfolio. they really dont.

If trickster got an improved mythic at rank 5 too, it would have been great. You'd be frontloaded for cleaning up Alushinyrra
There is something more important for trickster than getting the crit feats.
You take mythic perception rank 2 immediately to open up completely normal metamagic.
Now you have lv 1 schorching rays, lv5 hellfire rays, free bolstered spells or with favorite metamagic free empowered spells without rods.
And you get mythic trick 2 relatively early. THAT is what makes Trickster blaster somewhat fun to play, not the crit feats.
Frankly that sucks ass. No one is hurting for extra level 1 scorching rays. That mythic trick 2 is your only mythic path power for most of the game. All it adds up to is a free Favorite Metamagic feat. You could have had Demon DCs or Azata DCs and Zippy Magic instead. To say nothing of merging.
Trickster should have been able to roll spellcaster friendly items with the arcana trick. Stat focus should have been actually useful for somebody. Or maybe the UMD trick could have some bonuses for spellcasting classes.
The appeal is obviously more when you do free or low cost bolstered+empowered spells, the lv1 schorching ray is just a fun addition. It's nice to be able to fill a spellbook with metamagic without relying on wands.
And Trickster is still the worst caster mythic support, I just mentioned that this is what you gun for early on that actually enhances your damage aspect nicely instead of waiting for crit feats on a half bab character
2 years ago
Anonymous
>low cost bolstered+empowered spells
The thing is that you can gun for that already. Every other mythic path that plans on using rays is already going to use empowered+maximized+bolstered rays. Trickster is the only one with the honor of delaying their crit feats by picking Completely Normal Metamagic.
And they do so while having better spell penetration, better mythic spells, better DCs, better feat progression, and a much better power curve;

Yes, we know trickster does nothing else for the spellcaster. But with the cheaper metamagic that is on all the item without wands, plus sneak dice, your damage will be good and there is less need to rush crit feats. They are less important, you are not hindered by CNM
>better progression >better mythic spells >feat progression >power curve
Lich and aeon do all that and better.
He said literally everyone else does so better than trickster. Read, for frick's sake

>plus sneak dice
Thats another ironic thing about Trickster casting. Your extra sneak dice are completely useless because of the way bolstered metamagic works.
Think this through. The experience of being a Trickster who leans very hard on CNS is that your party members get better weapons and armor and become extremely powerful due to their new crit feats. Meanwhile you are slightly better at Embers job. 60 hours later the game is nearly over but you get to shine with the roll20s spell. Its the cuckold path.

What can I say, theres just not enough juice to go around. I considered a lot of strats over the last few days. >UMD trick
You can use it boost a scroll savant a bit but nothing game changing. UMD1 only boosts caster levels and UMD2 is better in the hands of a Magus spamming Wands of Heal or Dimension Door. The extra spellbook comes online too late. >Arcana trick
Effectively gives a +1 to your hats casting stat bonus. Nothing to write home about since none of the item properties boost magic users. >Athletic trick
Good perk for boosting your saves but you aint picking this one earlier than mythic rank 6, if that. >Perception
Its either crits or die with this one. Given that rays have a bad crit range this will just make you into even more of a late bloomer than before. CNS amounts to one extra favorite metamagic feat I guess. Nothing more than a perk. Unfortunately Stat Focus is terrible. >Sneak Dice
Not worth stacking since Bolstered is cheap, applies on every ray, can be multiplied on a crit, can be maximied and empowered. >Religion
Some extra domains as cleric. Not worth the Mythic Rank 4 slot. >World
Cool blanket buff that helps everyone but not any better than just going for Crits. Cant combine with Perception2 because then you are forced to pick either Perception 3 (garbage) or World 3 (the game is nearly over why do you care) as your greater mythic trick. >Mobility
Only for martials. >Nature
Useless. >Stealth
Might be useful if you can attack from really far away to bypass enemy True Sight. >Trickery
Casters arent going into melee range to dispel the enemies. >The mythic spellbook/summons
Summons are bad in general and everything on the mythic book is either useless or a self buff for gishes. Not worth banking on until mythic rank 7.
Pretty sure I didnt miss anything.

what is weird about trickster is that its story is about fricking around doing magic tricks all over the place but even its mythic spellbook is mostly useless. kinda hope the enhanced edition changes some things about the mythic.
Trickster is the worst mythic for casters and you should not even try. Your only options with it are:
>Spamming crit feats with rays. Rays have too little threat range and it will take until level 17 for you to have all trickster feats. Once you do you realize that x4 damage on ray crit is overkill, that x3 was already more than enough so you get nothing from the mythic path at the end of the day except for guaranteed crits at mythic rank 7. The game is already over by then. >Being a support bot for your martial party members with Arcana and Perception tricks (they make better, earlier use of them than you do). >Using CNS to cantripify level 1 spells. Which is unimpressive for a mythic rank 4 power that will be your only power for 80 percent of the game. >Using CNS to add persistent to level 9 spells. Which is where you should have just being a good caster mythic like Demon or Azata.
Aside from an MC Lich, has anyone tried making a Necromancy based caster? Looking through the items in Wrath, it doesn't look like there's much to boost DC beyond the usual war mage quarterstaff and a demon mythic unique heavy armour of all things.
Necromancy is incredibly weak compared to DnD 3.5, especially with overinflated enemy stats. Without all powerful lich spells, you will be tickling galus and vavakias with your finger of death. Enchantment and illusion schools are only viable options.
With one spell you can completely control the whole group of enemies that will be killed in few round by your melee characters. With evocation you sometimes spend many spellslots on one strong enemy.
Evocation has Sirocco technically, plus a few really good AoEs. Solo and Mass icy prison are nice too.
A bit more universal since wrath has mind immune enemies too, but not enough to discourage you from the school
Show me an evocation spell that can kill gallu stormcaller in one turn before he unleashes his own spells on your party. Even hellfire ray with all buffs and items cant do this without crits.
Anonymous
With sorcerous reflex, you can do it in one turn quite often (that was ember with with normal and metamagic hellfire ray and crossblooded dip specifically and all fire booster equipment).
Still, which enchantment options work best for gallus? Cause they are immune to weird and frightened
2 years ago
Anonymous
Gallu Stormcallers are immune to mind-affecting so Illusion and Enchantment are going to be even less effective against them. Granted you can still use them to disable everything else, but I think you're underestimating how useful direct damage is since you can put on ascended element and in almost all cases enemy touch AC is comically low compared to full AC.
True, but with rod of grandmaster this problem is solvable. I think that evocation requires too much and becomes effective too late. With one exception, of course - swarms. Nenio sometimes can't annihilate them alone.

Anonymous
>effective too late
The moment you start chapter 3, you can be pretty much set.
The moment you reach lv12-13 so you can have 6th level spells AND a crossblooded dip, you are pretty much done.
You need 2 mythic feats and 1 mythic ability for the kit(though abundant is obviously very nice)
So you can have all you need by mid chapter 3
That is not too late.

Assuming these all stack with each other, the game really does throw Enchantment buffing equipment your way.
Is it viable to just convert Woljif into a mage? I refuse to use Nenio and I've been relying on Camel for arcane spellcasting for 14 levels now. In fact I built her as a crossbow hex shaman that buffs and dispels when not doing Evil Eye. But now I'm kind of tired of her and I realized that I haven't used him in forever
Yeah they do. Not that it matters because I don't think I ever have her fire it. In fact I was kinda surprised when I found out she's supposed to be a tank of all things.
>-3CL
Not a chance. He does make a decent alchemist/grenadier though.
fuuuuuuuuck. What I have him as right now is just Arcane Trickster but too much of his shit is still dedicated to daggers or just melee in general. Is there anyone else I can just turn into an arcane caster?
why does reg get two weapons fighting in his default kit though
I was under impression the double- weapons get benefit from two weapon shit, but do they benefit from two handed simultaneously as well?
I legit forgot, anon, but the Gnome Hook does count as Two-Weapon Fighting because the other end is considered a light weapon.
It's fricking stupid and just spec'd Regil as a Shield Barrage guy anyway
Double weapons in general are both 2-handed weapons and two weapon fighting with a light offhand for the purpose of feats and effects. However, I think the Two-Handed Weapon training group doesn't include double weapons since there's a separate one for double weapons, so doing a two-handed fighter with a double weapon wouldn't work well. You wouldn't want it anyway since if you're using a double weapon you want to be doing full attacks to get all your attacks in, 2h fighter I think would benefit more from a build focused on vital strike although I haven't really tested it to figure out what overhand chop actually applies to.
Does bloodrage give a morale bonus? I thought it was untyped, the bloodrage description has it as untyped but the "upgrades" has it as morale, which one is it?
Am I blind or is there not a single high-level fire spell for sorc?
Electro gets stormbolts, cold gets icy prison and polar ray and from what I can see fire only get sirocco and hellfire ray at spell level 6 and that's all
The dragon bloodlines give +1 damage per die rolled for spells with their elemental descriptor and aren't limited to spells cast from the sorcerer's spell slots. There's two dragon bloodlines for each element (metallic and chromatic) so you can get e.g. +30 damage per hellfire ray, which if you hit with all 3 is +90 damage.
>There's two dragon bloodlines for each element (metallic and chromatic)
there are 3 for fire and you can take the 3rd one with mythic feat. So it's +3dmg per die at the cost of single level and all it does to wizard is slowing down progression to normal sorcerer level
>before wotr released always wanted to play legend druid 20/monk 20 >still haven't done this because shapeshifting doesn't benefit from unarmed attacks bonuses
One of the demon mythic feats says "all your attacks made with natural weapons are considered as primary", how does that interact with say, claws and the two weapon fighting mythic feat?
Natural weapons don't use two-weapon fighting because you don't get the normal twf penalty for using them, but they also don't get iterative attacks from BAB. Instead you make a full attack with all the different natural weapons you have, so if that's 2 claws you make 2 claw attacks at full BAB with a full attack. If you have a secondary natural attack like a bite, you can throw that into any full attack (either with weapons or with primary natural attacks) at full BAB - 5. The purpose of that Demon ability is to remove the -5 penalty from secondary natural attacks you make (demons are likely to have a gore from the demonic ML1 ability even if they aren't playing a natural attack build). If you're doing a full attack with natural weapons you get to use all your natural weapon attacks in a full attack, if you're using a manufactured weapon you only get the best one (IIRC from tabletop, assuming that's how it works in game).
If you are sitting on a mount then it's the mount that tanks hits, right?
Most enemies target the mount, but some reach enemies and archers will target the rider. Babau in particular like targeting the rider if they happen to be in range of them.
I don't think incorporeal gives you a miss chance, it makes you immune to physical damage and reduces damage from spells and magic weapons. I think miss chances never stack in tabletop, it might be worth testing the Areshkegal aspect with Blink though.

I wish wotr had alchemist or even vivi companion. It's a class that's really useful with infusion but not really something that you want to play as MC.
If only you had allies who occupied the space in front of your squishies so opponent's couldn't stand there... if only...
Alas such strategies can't be expected from mortals.
I was smart enough to have 2 front lines of melees guarding the squishies against Slayer's Advance, so they could never pull off that trick against me.
how?
I have literally 2 pets, Seelah, Woljif and Regill in front of me and enemies still just swarm my MC. Sure, one or two die on the way but they don't care and just continue swarming me
If your tank stands next to your squishy the enemy doesn't even provoke an attack of opportunity running around the tank. And the main times what he's talking about is a problem is on fights like the gargoyle cave where they spawn in all around you and take turns as soon as they appear.
Unless you're summoning or have a bunch of animal companions you're not always going to be able to completely block off the MC. The gargoyle fight in particular seems like it was designed to punish you for trying and having an MC without personal defenses.

That is not how the world works, anon. Now please hand over your illicit divinity and promtly, literally go have a nice day to save me from the worldwound headache.
It is beyond me how there are people who think that Hero is in any way, shape or form "based".
I wish Aeon would let you come back in time and fix Iomedae's ascencion as the ultimate timeline fix
Meanwhile, Cayden Cailean:
>lmao dude that was sick high five and welcome to the pantheon, come hang out some time I'll show you my favorite bar in Absalom.
He’s coping with the inceldom bestowed upon him by pozzo
He doesn't canonically have drunken orgies at least every other night?
What the frick is she wearing on her chest? Looks like a metal plate and a fabric tunic at the same time, one shoulder is covered and another isn't, deforming as fabric would but then shines like it's solid steel the rest of the armor is made of. Why would you draw it like this?
It's a question as old as time. Even Plato said that drawgays are morons

It's magic, don't gotta explain shit
you gotta explain why her chin can cut diamonds though
>Paladin of Iomedae

Feels good
>Be Angel of Mercy
>Be NG
>Keep the power so you could do more good
>Ascend and create your own Heaven sans lawtism
Problem, Iomede?
Yes, despite making nearly 1% of heaven’s population. Angels of your domain amount to 50% of Devil conversions
That's just a coincidence anon.
Angels can't even turn into Devils in Wrath, that's for Azatas.
Which makes no fricking sense at all, but I don't think Owlcat really understands Pathfinder. Just look at how often they interpret alignment in moronic ways.
It really bothered me how the devil path was locked behind two paths i really didn't like. Should be a default option for any asmodeus worshipper
>he didn't like aeon
Did you catch covid? Because you have no taste
>autism good
Why the only people who talk about that troony game are all coomers who only care about their dyke fetish or having fictional sex with fictional videogame characters?

I said fun
Shit you're right.
Point remains though.
kineticist
charger-raper
If you're autistic enough
Jarpig trannie gets the rope
>charger-raper
like demonic charge? what do i do for the other action(s)?
No, frick her. I am a lawful good incarnate.
Should I play this game?
It's alright.
Still prefered Kingmaker.
Which game should beginner try?
Definitely start with Kingmaker, better pacing and going from Wrath to Kingmaker will make you miss classes and feats and stuff that they added between games.
Kingmaker doesn't frick you in the ass as hard as WotR does and has less mechanics overall.
Not RPG.
Wrong board
Nah.
They could introduce devil as soon as you shake hands with Regil.
Not to mention that the forces of Hell/Cheliax would immediately try to get a hold of such a powerful asset as soon as it presented itself. That's the whole point of those Devil contracts.
I like the swarm as the ultimate evil frick everything path. It's ok as it is
That would be the Demon path, though. At least in it you fulfil your own, selfish desires, for power/women/domination/wealth etc.
The Swarm path, to make sense, would require a storyline where your character goes insane.
The swarm wizard you meet isn't insane, and he says he liked going swarm. Your character would have to be some kind of sociopath maybe.
I didn't know Swam was the "frick everything" path
I tried to go Swarm as a LE "Usocial Insects are the ultimate form of Order" sort of thing.
When I realized what Swarm was I was sad, though not surprised.
Its purpose and role is to be a motherfricking gold dragon, anon. You don't need to give a shit about anything else.
Every path can go Gold Dragon.
>make LE asmodeus worshiper
>choose azata to go devil because I like the abilities more than aeon
>alignment change
>alignment change back as devil
>i was pretending the whole time
I dont know if this was based or cringe. Seems kind of dumb that the devil option isn't triggered by an asmodeus worshiper
Gold dragon is the best way to balance the force, but I went the mortal route because frick "gods" and frick it if I would become one of those "gods".
God I hate this b***h so much it's unbearable
>NOOOOOO you can't just become a demigod, reject this power
moronic speedreaders
>Iomecuck
>She's totally jealous bro
>Just ignore her invitation to heaven as an angel, he respecting GD, not doing jackshit even if you ascend as a cartoon villain demon, or literally becoming friends with Seelah who also ascends thanks to your powers
You're just taking the cope of a woman still seething at the gods because she couldn't save her child in time as fact, either because you have a mommy fetish or because of confirmation bias since you don't like Iomedae to begin with, either way you're wrong.
why are you seething so hard?
Just pointing out your moronic argument, feel free to b***h about other things like calling her a hypocrite, but she sure as hell isn't jealous.
I didn't make any argument through, I'm not the anon you replied to, I don't like Iomedae because she acts arrogant when you question her about her ascension and if they're similar to yours
Also not to mention how she didn't lift a finger to help her hand, I understand she doesn't want to start a war between heaven and the abyss, but to abandon your herald is something I found unforgivable
>she didn't lift a finger to help her hand
Hhheeeeeeehehehe
hand is gigamoronic though
I found the hand to be moronic too, It's not that I liked him, I find it unforgivable to abandon your right hand man as a matter of principle
The hand was a moron. If you're Angel or Azata he has zero reason to run off like he does. If you're not one of those he should've been more hesitant about you in the first place.
>not doing jackshit even if you ascend as a cartoon villain demon
She wasn't doing jackshit about Deskari literally stomping her city in the dirt so that's just par for the course.
No.
Yet you commission swarm smut with her, curious
Because I wanted to.

>Eiardeeai
I knew i could count on you guys
So what will the enhanced edition add? what did they do for kingmaker enhanced?
It'll add a new threesome romance with a catfolk girl and a ratfolk girl.
I hope they expand the lategame paths since they kinda suck right now.
why do you guys like this game so much?
not trolling, just honestly curious
it seems so outdated, generic and just overall bad
>generic, outdated and overall bad
Lmao larian shill got curious about actually good rpgs
I like the writing 90% of the time, roleplay
is very abundant, combat is pretty good and build autism tickles my fancy.
>outdated, generic
In what way?
>overall bad
Not really
Wait, was the nymph really susceptible to cloudkill? Why did I think she had poison immunity?
Not sure if Nyrissa herself was weak to it but Cloudkill was the go-to one button win condition for most of the game.
this reminds me of the stupid crystals in wrath that have 1 dex and are instakilled by plaguestorm
or hell wasn't there a similar thing with intelligence and the spawn of rovagug
gwerm mansion updated
i am so happy
How so?
what do you mean?
What changed?
anon, we mean this
https://archiveofourown.org/works/37430425/chapters/93410371
Oh
I didn't go Legend for you, I did it because level 40 is cool. I was gonna frick you regardless
Should I run Angel/Fighter, Angel/Paladin (lol), or Angel/Warp Reest? Primary castergays need not apply.
If you don't want to bring seelah along pick paladin for the mark of justice. Mutt warrior if you're only concerned with dps, Warpriest is a bit tankier since he has a spellbook
Gold Dragon/Paladin. Shit's pretty rad.
Is this better than kingmaker?
depends if you like comfy atmosphere or epic adventures
the stronger the woman the weaker she is to anal
your mom must be more ripped than elena seiple then
Chapter 3 is so fricking slow. Travelling takes forever and it's frustrating!
take the speedhack pill
shouldn't have taken his stuff
a ghost just nuked my whole party with level 8 spells 🙁
put the whip back lmao it's not worth getting nuked
It's been a while since I've played kingmaker, what did bulletin boards and aviaries do?
Finish the main kingdom problems first i.e troll problem ect, then you'll have 200+ in game days to do whatever until the next main event, also don't waste your GP on buildings save them for researching curses/building new towns , the bonus the buildings give you is super insignificant and a complete waste of GP, only build the necessities like buildings for special crafters or buildings that serve a purpose such as a tavern in the capital other than that
>also don't waste your GP on buildings save them for researching curses/building new towns , the bonus the buildings give you is super insignificant and a complete waste of GP
>TFW you spent hours obsessing over the most value-per-square planning for every town and building synergies, also invested most of ingame money into it
>it doesnt actually matter
Kek, I did the same on my playthrough only to realize it was all for nothing and I lost hours trying to min max getting 5 extra military points or whatever
Same.
And there are people who seriously claim that kingdom management is good.
Those people are Owlcat themselves anon. They said all their games’ll have a gimmick like that
>ImpliseTang tha ChadDom manager estent' Kinest of the no no's.
Brabrabgrbbbbabbbap!!!!!!!! I. Literal. Frick. Staaaaaaaaaank! More ReeeeeePeeeeG's Gauld user more mini gomes und U wanna break away!? Dhad wos kelly clarky's unuly good Song too, so Frick! to my face!
Haha. U mad? Lol! Angery beaver!? Hohoho! Trigged much? Kek! Rustled ur jimmes? Jajaja Es dumb?
i mean it's kind of meh on its own but it influences the rest of the game to be better
without it you'd have the baldur's gate autism where you just rest after every fight
I like concept of having it.
Tried listening to her but... I was too drunk. Told her to go away and be useless elsewhere.
?t=3
Wait, does crossblooded sorc has delayed spell progression in comparison to default one? So you get level 2 spells at level 5?
>goddess is a tanned busty chick with that haircut
Owlcat really knows my type
I'm pretty sure they get ideas for their characters by browsing the most popular doujin tags
Except for Wen, that's just Mishulin's personal fetish
A tomboy goddess? They've got my money. brb playing wotr
Her design is literally just Jeanne d'Arc
Jannu wasn't brown.
She was tanned like you'd expect from a farmer's daughter.
https://www.jeanne-darc.info/biography/physical-appearance/
>We can only answer that we know very little indeed.
Tanned by French standards, not Italian-level swarthy.
Have you ever seen a Frenchman? Half the time they're totally indistinguishable from Arabs. They are truly a swarthy race.
They’re also very rude, aka Black person behaviour
Nafris aren't really the same thing as 15th century french people
I found out the name part has just enough space for this... Guess who I gave it to.
Wish I was home so I could show you a screenshot of my Black personman
How bad am I gimping myself by not going lich/azata as sorc?
It depends. Other mythics have stuff for casters too. You only gimp yourself if you go Angel/Trickster
Did I gimp myself by going Lich as a Dirge Bard? I'm actually quite sad that at least that class doesn't have merged spellbook with Lich.
Someone post Galfrey blowjob
Do it.
no galfrey is pure and for hand holding!
I agree, handholding WHILE she blows me, making eye contact
I should just play as an evil person, right?
depends on what flavor of evil you like
Can Chaotic Evil work or will Chaos make me trend too much to neutrality?
The campaign wasn't very serious.
>crossblooded sorc
>2 electro dragon bloodlines
>ascendant element - electricity
>focus and greater elemental focus - electricity
>azata zippy magic
>chain lighnting
>Gets killed by invisible babau
I was thinking about doing this but with fire
I hope it works out
It does. You can just your bloodline power to turn any elemental spell into fire
Didn’t they fix the cross blooded sorcerer dice shtick?
lol no, b***h was just jealous
"WAS" as in i killed her right after murdering pharasma in my headcanon, get owned
>pick grenadier
>next to useless before you get holy bombs
anyways how viable is it to spam dragonkind on pets?
>played for over 2 weeks now
>didn't capture Drezen yet because I keep restarting
>restarting is painful because you have to keep replaying the part of the game that always ends the same no matter what you do
Funny how Kingmaker's first act is pretty comfy, except for the kobold part, yet WOTR's first act is complete nightmare to play through multiple times
Kingmaker's first act is annoying too.
Much like the first part of KOTOR 2.
If you skip the challenge fights WOTR Act 1 isn't that bad, Shield Maze always fricks you on RNG though.
I multiclass all the companions as hunters for the free animal companion so I can just attack move everyone in real time through the shield maze in like 15 minutes and then dump them all as soon hit the tavern for custom mercs.
Doesn't the engine go to shit from too many animals on screen?
That's not Unity's fault, that's the devs' spaghetti coding
The formations dont work but I didn't notice any other issues
Aeonbros, what build(s) did you use for it? What would you change? I'm really bad at deciding the starting stats I'm too indecisive
If you want to focus on your character's damage Sanctified Slayer could be pretty good.
wait they combine/merge? or is just similar to demon rage/primalist rage stacking?
He meant aeon's bane and inquisitor's bane abilities, not their spellbook
Based spymaster
i figured they did, that's why i mentioned the rage stacking to compare it to
If aeon bane adds a dispel per spell hit does that mean you can use magic missile as a dispel bomb?
Or you can go with that Cavalier class that gives attack of opportunities and stack it with attack of opportunity gaze and the gaze that makes you always roll higher than 3
Like
said, Inquisitors are the best class for Aeon much like Oracle is with Angel. Sanctified is basically an upgrade over default inquisitor and is probably the best archtype with Divine Huntsmaster a close 2nd
Can you fug the goddess?
No but i hope that writerchad will allow us to.
Does ascendant element work with alchemist bombs or is it limited to spells?
does it say anywhere it's limited to spells
>spent more time theorycrafting than actually playing
I wish I could just play 2H Fighter and don't give a frick about anything. But I'm a huge homosexual that cannot be satisfied with such a simple concept.
The roguelite dlc is coming soon. Then you can assemble parties of your own design to go romping through random dungeons. Theorycrafting to your heart's content.
Any reason to keep Seelah sword+board? Been thinking about giving her reach weapon
Seelah is a Mark of Justice dispencer , so there is no reason to bother with it that much. On the other hand, there is a longsword that lets you cast smite and mark on neutral enemies and also radiance
Just respec as you go…?
Sword and board dual wielder is really good
Sword and board means sword and shield, anon…
Yes
I think he meant two-weapon fighting
I miss her bros
Who?
octavia, but with heavier makeup
I had to look her up. She's just one of the slaves in that camp after you kill the Technic League guys. I ignored her. Seemed a worthless background NPC.
nah, she's the strongest party member if you build her right, with maybe the exception of kalikke
The bawd
inferior half-elf
camellia supreme
both still mutts though
never thought possible but yeah i prefer her over that insane c**t camellia anyday
Damn she's way uglier when you zoom in like that. Her face definitely does not offset her ugly personality
Finished when it came out. Did they add something new, anything worth the Replay?
Mostly just bugfixes, apart from the DLCs.
>The two DLCs they've released so far have been pretty lame.
>no new companions
>no new quests/content for the main game
>no new races/subraces
>no new classes/archetypes
>no new mythic paths or expanded existing paths
>just two short stand-alone campaigns that have no relevance to the main game apart from taking place during specific parts of the story
Wait
If I were to play magus and enchant my weapon with 2 different elements then every attack would trigger Elemental barrage, right?
There are several ways to do that but yeah basically anything that lets you attack with multiple elements on the same attack works.
For frick's sake whenever I start playing one class I find out a new way to make some other class absolutely disgusting
That's generally what people do with Camellia since her subclass gets the Magus weapon enchantment feature. I vaguely recall a patch nerfing the way it triggers so its only every other attack but I might be thinking of Tabletop Tweaks.
frick no, her suggestion was moronic
"it's okay, even though i am the goddess of righteous warfare and protecting the world from demons, i think that you, the best and perhaps only hope of saving the world, shouldn't be forced to save the world even if you want to, so you should just go back home and die from old age instead of risking yourself"
what a moron
i wish there were more options to frick over the gods in this
at least as Lich you get to personally btfo Pharasma now when she attacks AND you can tell her to personally frick off in the ending if you ascend mom
but i really want to get even with this dumb b***h Iomade, either she is as arrogant and prideful as those that follow her or she is truly moronic
Get even for what? b***h doesn't do jack shit to you.
Well, other than hurting your feelings I guess.
>Give up your powers
>No frick off
>Ok
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I NEED TO GET EVEN WITH HER HOW DARE SHE
she dared to look down on me
Halflings and Gnomes should not get a size penalty to their weapon dice.
Manlets should not have human rights.
Why not? They get a size bonus to their AC and attack rolls.
>Grenadier and Arcane Bomber bombs don't stack
this reality has crushed my dreams
Time to test grenadier/underground chemist
>that pic
>not playing cleric angel
now imagine if she was actually this hot
In a man's game, she would be. Unfortunately Paizo is a Californian's game. The Russian "Cypriots" do what they can to help us.
Mighty naive of you to not believe Owlcat is in on Paizo's scheme.
>"Cypriots"
The only thing those guys own in Cyprus is a PO Box. I'm not even joking.
That's why it's in suspicious quotes my fren
>10 Hellknight/10 Signifier/10 Armiger/10 Warpriest Shieldbearer
I think you'd be better off with 20 warpriest instead of armiger since you'd get the maximum base weapon dice bonus on your shield.
Demonslayer/Hellknight Signifier could be interesting too, you can take Order of the Nail and get +12 damage total against a class of demons (I don't remember if Gallu are under Magic or Strength), and the ranger spell list isn't bad.
well, if you're going to be an int caster you can check out lich
But since you want to be based you'll become a legend, won't you anon?
Caster legend is not playable though. Lich at least has good dispell and spells that get you through core
>based
>legend
Pick one
i pick this one
>based legend
That's more than extra 20 levels, you greedy nome.
>obviously bad build
I mean you missing support for divine caster and Signifer mask. But outside of that does this guy doing anything differently compare to EK?
should i go eldritch scion or sword saint for demon?
>pet is walking backwards and attacking with its ass
>main character is invisible except for the weapons
>exit and interact icons disappearing from areas
>whole area is a black screen but you can still play and see the outlines of characters when holding tab
Alright I think I'll wait for the EE bug fixes
Should I bother with Defender's Heart defence if I cleared everything and can assault Grey Garrison?
there's an achievement you can get but it's requires you to both do the defenders heart defense and keep the beer cart intact as well as you'd have to have saved every person at daerans party
other than that, no, you get all the loot and exp handed to you directly
How would you save everyone at the party?
savescumming I imagine.
savescumming and doing it last before the garrison after you have a full party and more exp than if you just did it as soon as possible
also lower difficulties, since there's no requirement for it
she looks like she fricks metallic dragons
I would never betray my mother for a pair of average divine breasts.
she hates you and she's not your mother
She does have a better pair of breasts, however, and that's all that matters.
>breasts
ass is better, and no ass is more tight, Ganker and sturdy than that of a certain trained psychotic noble woman
Last time I checked Daeran was a dude.
Daeran's a complete bawd, I don't think he's that tight.
I don't think this is a problem here. Also his cure spells also for wounds.
Nocticula has a great ass, but her holes are extremely wide. Her brother told me that.
It runs in the family. Sadly.
>game about killing demons
>can't kill this one special snowflake princess for some reason
Just be a demon or a clownman
she returned later in threshold when i killed her as a demon
Demons don't die when they're killed, they just go back to the abyss.
Yes, it's explained multiple times in game that you need to kill demon lords twice in the span of a year to end them for good.
then what's the fricking point of letting me kill her if she won't die, what's the point of being a mythic demon prince newborn ruler of Alushinyrra if you can't track down some cucktila queen of roasties and kill her the second time
For the frick sake, go for ascension ending as demon then. You are the most powerful demon lord beside Lamashtu who is a true goddess in such ending. You can invade Midnight Isles and rape Nocti to final death while her brother watches from a closet while furiously jerking off.
That's headcanon anon. My ascencion headcanon is ascending as lich and trying to murder Iomedae
headcanon makes this game so much better, im glad everyones headcannoning
Headcanon? It's stated clearly that personal planes of Deskari and Bathomet are merges as your new realm. You can argue that oldest demon lords like Pazuzu or Dagon can be a treat for the Commander, but Nocticula doesn't have a chance. You just need to kill her before she runs off to Elisium.
>trying to murder Iomedae
>not Pharasma
I mean sure realistically she'll still be out of your league even if you ascend, but I can't think of a better ending for a god-lich.
Pharasma is the anchor that keeps the whole section of universe in balance. It's stupid to intervene in her affairs more than required. Well, unless you are a big fan of terrible eldritch gods that would invade with the first opportunity.
in the secret ending Pharasma says "their combined power is enough to rival my own now" or along those lines
we can take her with mommy power, friendship and A LOT of undead
And then Groetus will fall on your head, annihilating reality itself. No, thanks.
>I mean sure realistically she'll still be out of your league even if you ascend
No, she literally says you and Areelu together can rival her power in the fanfic ending
Even better ending is building a platoesque philosopher state with liches as ruling elite. Conquering Mendev is a headcanon no-no though bc of the starstone bullshit
Pharasma knows the secret of Aroden's death so i imagine lich/demon would come to her asking how to kill Iomedae. And i don't find Pharasma as annoying as Iomedae honestly
Pharasma declares war on the player Lich tho, she cant just be allowed to plot freely
at best she has to be subjugated
or at least i got a whole Pharasma attack questline and war deceleration, it was neat
Iomedae is harmless to you and not worthy of such efforts. And the setting already has unique impossibly powerful mohrg hellbent on killing her. Just help him instead of doing it yourself.
Headcanon is the only canon that really matters
You can kill Nocticula as demon and trickster. Or you are talking about someone else?
Because she canonically becomes the Redeemer Queen.
They just said it's Ember's fault in the game.
>ass is better
Black person.
Milk Drinker.
wrong
imagine the smell
"Used goods" doesn't even begin to cover it
Mother has better sense of fashion. And her breasts are still bigger.
>only posts the table top art
hmmm i wonder why that is. maybe because in game she's dressed as a nun and probably has saggy breasts?
She is my mother, she said it herself after I explained that her experiment was successful. I will make her proud.
>she said it herself after I explained that her experiment was successful
copium of the highest order
you were already a person prior to her kidnapping you
Yes, but if you make right decisions, it's obvious that innate characteristic of her son's souls had merged with your soul into one.
How much worse is DEX SS compared to STR SS?
Both are powerful.
You can mitigate this fairly well with the right defensive buffs, but it's definitely more vulnerable than a DEX build.
why does Magus (Eldritch Scion) suggest i pump dex and take weapon finesse? does the "cast & attack" thing hinge on two weapon fighting or something?
im completely new to this class
Does Elemental Barrage apply if damage is dealt through scroll/wand?
Did you reply to the wrong post?
articles
Angel and Demon are equally canon. One path for opposing your mom, one for siding with her.
I tested grenadier and here are results
>arcane bomber and grenadier bombs dont stack (a change from Kingmaker)
>undeground chemist allows you to deal sneak damage with bombs (only on initial target)
>pretty much none of the mythic feats/abilities directly impact bombs (only generic stuff like weapon focus - bombs)
You cast boosts, right? So get enduring spells.
I'm going to romance Wendu
wish me luck
You poor sadomasochistic idiot. Good luck.
good luck, recently finished a run where i did true romance with her
it was surprisingly sweet and emotional
So... She is just spider-cat Asuka?
Asuka's greatest sin is being rude or whatever, she did not cannibalise anyone. Also she'd have charisma of 16 at least, not 6
Yes, obviously. But despite different upbringings, both Asuka and Wendu motivated by desire to be the best. Most powerful, most influential, most sexually desirable and so on. And if the post about Wendu in her romance is correct, both are insecure deep inside despite actually being exceptional girls.
Asuka wanted to be most sexually desirable?
i read too much doujins and watched eva too long ago so i don't remember whether or not asuka is actually jealous of rei or nor but she does want kanji's attention
>engage in romance
>it's actually therapy
Are women really like this?
God teaches you that women are the original sin and needs a man to guide them.
I'd like to have my rib back. Thank you.
Women and men are both like this. Always have been.
It's why traditional families are so important, even if they're no longer strictly necessary for survival or financial stability. Humans aren't made to live alone.
>Are women really like this?
In this game? Yes. Wendu, Cam and Arue are all broken in the beginning.
they're like this if you're not rich/attractive/tall. if you're "just a friend" she's going to treat you like a discount psychiatrist. been there done that
with mythic ranks, which do i get in act 3, 4 and 5 respectively (just to make sure i'm on the right track)
Is playing pure Demonslayer for a first playthrough a good idea? t. kingmaker veteran
Feels like a good class to just right-click through the game. If so then what's the best supported reach weapon?
>Is playing pure Demonslayer for a first playthrough a good idea? t. kingmaker veteran
>Feels like a good class to just right-click through the game. If so then what's the best supported reach weapon?
You get Seelah and Camelia from the get go but that's pretty much it .You don't get unkillable slab like Valerie
>think wendu acts moronic
>check her deity
>Lamashtu
Now I understand. She's acting like Tsanna from Kingmaker. It all makes sense now
In Wrath we can see Lamashtu's beloved children, Areshkagal and Baphomet. So yes, she is mother of morons and unholy patron of pointless stupidity.
Tell me who's tanking in your party
RIGHT
FRICKING
NOW
My MC, Camcam and Regil.
How did you build Regil?
I'm using TabletopTweaks that adds a few new mythic feats and abilities. With them and proper itemization old gnome can easily get a proper AC for the late game. Armor from champion's room in act 4 is the most important part. And with the hammer from calamity dragon he can do real damage.
a dog that knows kung-fu and seelah
Me and my harem of mercs
My boy Regil, of course. He's practically unkillable with an ungodly amount of health and stacks up to AC 60 at lvl 14
I wish he didn't look like a goofy ass gnome
>I wish he didn't look like a goofy ass gnome
Don't worry because you, me and Regil all agree on that, and he more than makes up for being a filthy gn*me
I just stack AOOs and critfish so everything dies too fast for me to really need a tank.
I'm just about finished with my demon Barb/thug playthrough.
What should I play next?
Monk or inquisitor Aeon to see the other side of the game apart from killing and fricking everything that moves like demon does.
>want to play aeon
>also want psycho killer gf
>:(
Camelia is cute and you can always romance her some other time. Aeon must be above such things like sex, after all. I'm pretty sure his penis falls off even before complete transformation.
then do multiple playthroughs?
>Spend one hour to do Nocticula's fight as Demon
>Realize I didn't loot her body mid combat
>Have to redo the entire thing
don't you get the thing afterwards?
You get teleported immediately back to Drezen
and it's not in your inventory afterwards? I remember back at release you had to loot it on the ground immediately after shooting baphomet but now you get dialog with nocticula and can get it that way. if you don't want to do the fight over just cheat it in with toybox
Mate I'm talking about killing Nocticula and looting her damn crossbow
yeah I know, I was making a comparison because I thought owlcat would've patched all situations where you have to manually loot it like that during combat by now since they did it once before
what's all light
Bane all
Bane?
He's a big guy
Don't mind me, just a demon having a date with his gf
This date almost made me cry. Because all my dates in real life were similarly dreadful and boring.
>mfw wenduag full throwing build
I'm sorry for ever shittalking her
My only regret is I didn't make her a slayer earlier
>Remember my name: WENDUAG!
Spit gargler.
>Wendaug was trash because of her stats
How is someone with 20 dex , 16 strength and 14 con trash?
How the frick can you not adjust that to any kjind of decent to great martial build? Having only ok wis for mental stats limits some build options a bit, but still.
Is the Final Veil puzzle bugged in the current patch? I can't get my puzzle to look like the solutions found online with any combination.
Using a reference I found online, the tile I've highlighted in green is the correct tile, but it wont rotate to the angle the reference provides.
One of the patches changed those puzzles so the symbols always face the same direction even if you rotate the tile. I think you have it in the right position.
Is spamming phantasmal killer still a thing?
Yes, and it makes Nenio the best companion in the game.
Still has a shit quest and reddit humor. Kill yoursel froghitter.
Figure out how expanded arsenal works, pick mythic paths with dc bonuses like demon and aeon(azata is irrelevant because you can get morale bonuses from a court poet, lich gets high level spells early and has a huge debuff to saves with corrupt magic but no actual dc mechanics). I would recommend you not use phantasmal killer at all and use actually fun spells like sirocco, less you want to feed the frogshitter's ego
it's been months, no a full fricking year and that homosexual still posts here? same with that bg3 homosexual too. jesus christ
Autism is a hell of a drug
>40 DC Weird at level 20
>without using a shaman or witch for evil eye -4 saves
>without using touch of madness for -10 saves
I don't even know how to minmax Nenio so I'm sure you can get the DC much higher than this through multiclassing shenanigans.
44 DC achievable with all special gear without any problem. It's enough to kill almost everything in the end game even without debuffs.
Do shaman and witch evil eye still stack?
Also a way of reducing saves I don't see often is making one of alchemist that use incense, one reduces saves by a lot but only will or mind-affecting iirc
I made the tiefling one last time and it worked great
Yes, they stack.
Two evil eyes and a hampering hex also stack for ac.
And don't forget to give Camelia another spirit and metal curse. She is useful, she truly is.
>nenio
just do it yourself you coward, the mc can do it much better than the reddit fox
I've never seen anyone make a shadow build, are they just bad?
You already have Nenio for illusions and shadows. What more do you need?
It's not bad, I just prefer to have illusionists focus on one job.
In my phantasmal mage run, I did the CC, I let ember do the blasting
Can someone please explain this?
Is this just a free extra attack?
No, it lets you roll your attack dice twice and take the higher result. It's a free probability booster.
No, it's a lucky roll. Instead of one die, you roll two dice and pick the highest. Pretty straightforward.
I want to romance wendu with my NG character but I always drop her/kill her because she is so unrepentantly evil.
And she will remain such until the very end.
>Make a build to make use of demon forms
>Form of Vavakia doesn't have attack animations
>Balor vorpal strike doesn't even activate
How is this game still so buggy one year after release..
what was she doing when the succubus was impersonating her?
She could btfo the ghouls around the faithful, why not dispel some paltry charm?
The rabbit hole of iomedumb goes deeper and deeper. Why didn't she help Galfrey when lich turns her fricking undead, why didn't she help her Herald when she was assraped by Baphomet, why didn't she solve the Guardian Stone thingie
>what was she doing when the succubus was impersonating her?
schlicking
She is not that powerful compared to the juggernaut that was Aroden. She became goddess only recently. She is no primordial force like Desna or Asmodeus.
I think they forgot to check what holding a two-bladed sword like a quarterstaff would look like.
>finish kenabres
>reroll
>again
>finish maze.
>reroll.
It's hell. I got 90% through act 3 as lich and decided I don't really like it. Now I got rerollitis.
Instead I made a bunch of build saves at the start for the purpose of "when I decide to do this mythic path, I'll use this character"
I really wish they would put more effort into weapon animations and how the characters hold them. Glaives really trigger my autism when the characters are holding them like greatswords halfway up the it's length.
Why make animations for a weapon that only 6 players have ever used?
Should I bother with fighter levels on wenduag or just go full slayer asap?
Make her an actual fighter with a falchion, not much feats are wasted tbh
You get an extra combat feat if you go Fighter 2. It's worth it up until you're level 20 and miss out on Quarry as a move action. If you're going Trickster you definitely want the extra feat regardless.
I forgot that weapon specialisation mythic was a thing when I made this post. You definitely want Fighter 4 to get this. You lose one sneak die, but weapon spec and mythic weapon spec more than make up for it.
I've had her as full fighter with dual throwing axes specialization and I've been doing fine.
i have done Kenabres so many times that i went from liking it to hating it to liking it again
last time i did it i even found something new, i was just spamming dialogue options, picking up everything and suddenly i had a extremely good artifact that belonged to the Queen
i have no idea what i did, i'll google it for next run tho since it was really good
What artefact?
>The Covenant of the Inheritor
>This symbol of Iomedae, when placed on the belt, emits a holy aura. All party members within 30 feet get a +2 bonus to caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance.
>Their weapons become Good-aligned and count as if they were made of cold iron.
You really never found this before?
nope, never
NTA But there's a medallion you can find in one of the abandoned houses in the market (don't know which one) and you can have the storyteller repair it. If you do it will give you an aura that makes every allied weapon good aligned and cold iron for the purposes of bypass reduction.
You can also give galfrey the amulet back
>of the abandoned houses in the market (don't know which one)
The one with fire demon, brimorac.
Are aeon good now? last time I played they were among the worst mythic and didn't really synergize with anything
Not sure when you played or why you thought they were bad, but one of their basic additions was a basic gaze to boost AB and how gaze DC works.
Aeon works with everything, but is not the best at anything.
Gets kinda moronic for spellcasters at mythic rank 9, at least.
Now, if we count exploits, Aeon gets silly
recently started up the game and with that mod that allows you to customize character models I discovered aeon finally has a final mythic transformation now that matches the in game portrait instead of the 2 spinning things around your head
Trying to make a spellcasting Trickster but jesus christ this shit blooms way too late.
I went melee azata at release and t was fine
Trickster is the gish mythic, simple as.
The appeal is obviously more when you do free or low cost bolstered+empowered spells, the lv1 schorching ray is just a fun addition. It's nice to be able to fill a spellbook with metamagic without relying on wands.
And Trickster is still the worst caster mythic support, I just mentioned that this is what you gun for early on that actually enhances your damage aspect nicely instead of waiting for crit feats on a half bab character
>low cost bolstered+empowered spells
The thing is that you can gun for that already. Every other mythic path that plans on using rays is already going to use empowered+maximized+bolstered rays. Trickster is the only one with the honor of delaying their crit feats by picking Completely Normal Metamagic.
And they do so while having better spell penetration, better mythic spells, better DCs, better feat progression, and a much better power curve;
>better progression
>better mythic spells
>feat progression
>power curve
Lich and aeon do all that and better.
In case it was not clear I mean that everybody has better everything compared to Trickster caster.
Yes, we know trickster does nothing else for the spellcaster. But with the cheaper metamagic that is on all the item without wands, plus sneak dice, your damage will be good and there is less need to rush crit feats. They are less important, you are not hindered by CNM
Please don't use cuckold to say things are bad, it's too cancerous. The whole argument was about how to make lemonade out of a meh lemon in the first place.
Like some guy in discord who tried to make a stormwalker bow demon work.
>Trickster spellcaster is bad
Next you'll all be trying to argue that Hellknight is a bad class.
I have actually come to appreciate Smite chaos on mundane classes a bit. Not really universally applicable, but still
Only worth a dip
for how shit most of ynorka's art is this one is surprisingly really good
yeah, that's why i decided to post it
how? the valerie one is way better
What makes enchantment more viable than evocation?
With one spell you can completely control the whole group of enemies that will be killed in few round by your melee characters. With evocation you sometimes spend many spellslots on one strong enemy.
Evocation has Sirocco technically, plus a few really good AoEs. Solo and Mass icy prison are nice too.
A bit more universal since wrath has mind immune enemies too, but not enough to discourage you from the school
Show me an evocation spell that can kill gallu stormcaller in one turn before he unleashes his own spells on your party. Even hellfire ray with all buffs and items cant do this without crits.
With sorcerous reflex, you can do it in one turn quite often (that was ember with with normal and metamagic hellfire ray and crossblooded dip specifically and all fire booster equipment).
Still, which enchantment options work best for gallus? Cause they are immune to weird and frightened
True, but with rod of grandmaster this problem is solvable. I think that evocation requires too much and becomes effective too late. With one exception, of course - swarms. Nenio sometimes can't annihilate them alone.
>effective too late
The moment you start chapter 3, you can be pretty much set.
The moment you reach lv12-13 so you can have 6th level spells AND a crossblooded dip, you are pretty much done.
You need 2 mythic feats and 1 mythic ability for the kit(though abundant is obviously very nice)
So you can have all you need by mid chapter 3
That is not too late.
Persistent phantasmal killer from Nenio will still be more useful to solve difficult situations in the Ivory Sanctum or Midnight Fane. Against mythic glabresu, for example.
Metemagic single target cc is not my idea of more efficiency against an opponent who cannot really hurt my frontline in the first place and wails helplessly at me while a ray blaster can help solve Playful darkness.
Heck, for the room with the mythical succubi, sirocco is as aeffectiuve as phantasmal web essentially
In that room the real trait are cultists mages under invincibility hiding in corners. You know what the best way to kill them? Phatasmal killer.
>+2 D/C from Twisted Temptation gloves
>+2 D/C from Bracers of Mind Break
>+2 D/C from Ring of Chaotic Fascination
>+2 D/C from QotWM
>+2 D/C from Glass Amulet of Clarity (mind-affecting enchantments only)
Assuming these all stack with each other, the game really does throw Enchantment buffing equipment your way.
With Aeon you can sirroco(elemental barrage from elemental specialist + arcane trickster sneak dice) the frick out of all encounters though
Sirroco is for gays. I want to dominate the minds of my enemies with single thought, not use hot wind against them.
It has better sound design than any spell in the game
This is probably true. Only mythic spells sometimes have cooler sounds and effects.
It's powerful like a 9th level spell, and it lasts for several rounds.
Conjuration remains good and evocatio nstill has some standouts but yeah, vanilla necromancy is not cutting it
Is it viable to just convert Woljif into a mage? I refuse to use Nenio and I've been relying on Camel for arcane spellcasting for 14 levels now. In fact I built her as a crossbow hex shaman that buffs and dispels when not doing Evil Eye. But now I'm kind of tired of her and I realized that I haven't used him in forever
Wait do her weapon buffs apply to crossbows too? shit I never thought of switching her off rapier
Yeah they do. Not that it matters because I don't think I ever have her fire it. In fact I was kinda surprised when I found out she's supposed to be a tank of all things.
fuuuuuuuuck. What I have him as right now is just Arcane Trickster but too much of his shit is still dedicated to daggers or just melee in general. Is there anyone else I can just turn into an arcane caster?
>-3CL
Not a chance. He does make a decent alchemist/grenadier though.
>finish act
>read that you've missed a bunch of items
>pain
Does an orc double axe actually count as a two handed weapon or two weapon fighting?
Like how does it intereact with two handed fighter and the two weapon fighting feat?
Two Handed my guy. Anything that occupies both hands does.
Two Weapon Fighting is for one weapon in each hand.
why does reg get two weapons fighting in his default kit though
I was under impression the double- weapons get benefit from two weapon shit, but do they benefit from two handed simultaneously as well?
Check item descriptions
I legit forgot, anon, but the Gnome Hook does count as Two-Weapon Fighting because the other end is considered a light weapon.
It's fricking stupid and just spec'd Regil as a Shield Barrage guy anyway
Exact same way reg's gnome hoked hammer does
Double weapons in general are both 2-handed weapons and two weapon fighting with a light offhand for the purpose of feats and effects.
Just try a potion of heroism and check if it conflicts.
Is tabletop pathfinder fun?
>is tabletop anything fun
only with friends
How do I get friends?
read a book jokes 101 and go on discord or whatever
Does respeccing your MC still mess up stuff or lose permanent buffs?
no that is fixed
Can I get weapon training from levels in eldritch knight?
Weapon training is the fighter's unique trait.
Only other archetypes that get it are Sohei and IIRC Disciple of the pike cavalier for spears
Am I blind or is there not a single high-level fire spell for sorc?
Electro gets stormbolts, cold gets icy prison and polar ray and from what I can see fire only get sirocco and hellfire ray at spell level 6 and that's all
Fire also has no cantrip. So that's a recurring theme.
there's a spell called firestorm, but you're better off converting stormbolts to fire or smth because fire gets all the dice increase
Red Salamnder ring gives firestorm only to spontaneous casters sadly
I fricking hate how good it is to play wizard and dip into crossblooded sorc and later take additional mythic bloodline
What makes a crossblooded sorc dip so good?
Do I have to simp for Noct if I play demon?
It's a reasonable thing to do in the very beginning. And, like always in demon society, you can betray her later and rape her corpse.
>rape her corpse
i like your style
Umm
Is it me or this doesn't have a save?
try it out?
It's a touch attack, so their touch AC is the barrier to bypazs instead of any save. Plus immunity to mental effects on a lot of demons.
>before wotr released always wanted to play legend druid 20/monk 20
>still haven't done this because shapeshifting doesn't benefit from unarmed attacks bonuses
I recommend sword saint 20/ quarterstaff master 20.
I'm not sure what bonus you're looking for but Feral Champion applies the better dice progression from monk to claw attacks and has wildshape.
How do I shield basher?
Slayer. Also: don't
Why?
Well, you lose your dex/cha/wis bonus to ac and lose all reach weapons so you will get hit.
Guys I have a question
Most enemies target the mount, but some reach enemies and archers will target the rider. Babau in particular like targeting the rider if they happen to be in range of them.
thanks
If you are sitting on a mount then it's the mount that tanks hits, right?
I CAN FIX HER
you literally can't though
what does she say if you sacrifice her for lichdom?
she begs and seethes and whines
Her pain is my pLeAsUrE
she's already perfect
No one is going to be able to answer me but what the hell.
Do aspect of Shadow demon and aspect of areshkegal stack stack their 50% miss chance?
Shadow demon gives incorporeal, but areshkegal just says 50% of attacks will miss
I don't think incorporeal gives you a miss chance, it makes you immune to physical damage and reduces damage from spells and magic weapons. I think miss chances never stack in tabletop, it might be worth testing the Areshkegal aspect with Blink though.
Obviously they shouldn't, but since I just finished a demon run and have a save I checked anyway.
They don't
>want to try a different mythic path
>don't want to spend 10 hours slogging through kenabres and drezen
>:(
>he didn't make a hard save at the final part of act 2 where you choose your mythic path
ngmi
there's other people's save files on nexus but not sure if that shit is still compatible or not
I have made that save on multiple characters, but my autism will never allow me to not start a fresh character.
Also release EE right fricking now.
>but my autism will never allow me to not start a fresh character
why? you can completely customize your character again and you can even put that save file in a different character slot with some notepad tinkering
Because I'll feel no connection to the character and you can't reroll earlier choices, no matter how insignificant they may be.
yes you can 🙂
Sure, lemme just go manually set a bunch of flags in the save.
Will WotR get a Definitive edition and will it have full VO?
>Will WotR get a Definitive edition
in a couple of months
>and will it have full VO?
i HIGHLY doubt it
it will not have a full voice over, and that's unironically a very good thing
imagine them cutting 90% of the game because voice actors cost too much, fricking yikes
which ending for greybor do you think makes him the happiest?
he hasnt seemed particularly happy in any ending ive gotten for him so far, even as a demigod
miserable c**t, but i want him happy
take him to his family. his deepest desire was teaching his daughter the trade
i see, can this be combined with the secret ending?
no
so before this goes into archives, is there a way i can get greybors daugther ending and the secret ending for me + mom + all companions? im guessing if i dismiss him right before treshold i dont get a ending for him at all, since thats what happened with sosiel
fricking moronic btw, i sendt him home to take care of his brother and we ended it on completely friendly terms, i should get a slide for that still
you can, just don't ascend greybor.
What's some moron-proof class that can tank?
Nature oracle with scaled fist and paladin. Ac through the roof
Why nature oracle? Barkskin?
anything with an animal companion
I wish wotr had alchemist or even vivi companion. It's a class that's really useful with infusion but not really something that you want to play as MC.
multiclassing cam into vivi makes some sense
>play turn based
>enemies all focus my squishy MC even though I'm in the back
It's all so tiresome
start playing real time homie
If only you had allies who occupied the space in front of your squishies so opponent's couldn't stand there... if only...
Alas such strategies can't be expected from mortals.
>walks by all of them
>tanks aoo
>hits me anyways
I was smart enough to have 2 front lines of melees guarding the squishies against Slayer's Advance, so they could never pull off that trick against me.
Why is everybody else so mentally challenged?
how?
I have literally 2 pets, Seelah, Woljif and Regill in front of me and enemies still just swarm my MC. Sure, one or two die on the way but they don't care and just continue swarming me
>>how?
2 separate rows. First line of defense can be penetrated by Slayer's Advance.
The second line can't be penetrated.
>slayer's advance
THEY JUST FRICKING WALK UP
Wait, are you using that autistic mode where you are expected to count footsteps, and you didn't count the fotsteps of the opponents?
If your tank stands next to your squishy the enemy doesn't even provoke an attack of opportunity running around the tank. And the main times what he's talking about is a problem is on fights like the gargoyle cave where they spawn in all around you and take turns as soon as they appear.
oh yes, gargoyle fight was hell
>If your tank stands next to your squishy the enemy doesn't even provoke an attack of opportunity running around the tank.
So what?
Unless you're summoning or have a bunch of animal companions you're not always going to be able to completely block off the MC. The gargoyle fight in particular seems like it was designed to punish you for trying and having an MC without personal defenses.
>Unless you're summoning or have a bunch of animal companions
Have you tried the wall hugging tactic?
>50 hours in game total
>didn't capture Drezen even once
>elemental specialist
>crossblooded sorc dip + mythical bloodline for +3 dmg per die
>azata zippy magic
I just win every encounter by spamming Chain Lightning (Fire)
