You can literally never redeem her. At the very end of her quest she tells you to drink blood, if you're romancing her. Refusing ends the relationship. Friendship never even has an option to try redeeming her, romancing her and scolding her does nothing and only drags you down with her. Just back out and stop being mean to Lann, bro.

Or at that point, should I just roll a Wizard? I would rather have all the knowledge/lore skills, but I don't know if persuasion checks can be done by the other members of your party in dialogue.
Sage is just fine because he gets one of the best bloodlines on top of lots of skills. CHA sorcerers have the advantage of dipping into scaled fist monk, but you probably weren't planning to do that.
Or go Empyreal Sorcerer (WIS caster) and take the Oblate Acolyte background to make Persuasion checks with WIS. You won't have great knowledge skills but your Lore and Persuasion will be through the roof. If you have skill points left at least take Knowledge World since many companions have Knowledge Arcane but not World. Also you could dip a level in Monk for WIS to AC.
Unless you are going Lich, go sage.

Kingmaker had a lead artist, Valeriy Vegera - who stopped freelancing after Kingmaker and went to work for CD Project. He did most (if not all) non-MC portraits, which is why they have a memorable coherent artstyle.
WotR had a few different artists - some of them are decently good, some of them are shitters (like the guy who made Arue, Greybor and male Azata, and absolutely sucks at drawing faces). But the result is that your party is a mishmash of different artstyles of varying quality. And something like female Azata is objectively terrible.

Go mod some of the actually ugly companions and npcs in wotr. They are all awful tbh. Kingmaker portraits are perfection.
I played Kingmaker with only turn based mode, and it's good. It makes the combat infinitely more tactical and fun, though I heavily recommend the mod to nerf flanking into its tabletop state.
