Literally every gen has good music you morons. Music only went downhill since the advent of the Switch. It's clear they don't know how to work with actual instruments unless it's orchestral (LGPE OST was good).
I like Gen 5 but even I call bullshit on it having the best music. There are good tracks, but the OST as a whole is too reliant on a few specific instruments which actually debuted in HGSS. Once you learn to recognize them and how repetitive it can be it becomes very annoying. It's like Hoenn's trumpet problem but even worse.
