All of the AA games are entertaining. I just think this one was the weakest. Mostly because the plot was kind of "out there" even by AA standards and the new prosecutor was boring af. But I still enjoyed it.

I feel like everyone is crazy, I'm a longtime fan of the series and DD is the better of the two 3DS games. SoJ is so drawn out, boring, and hardly related to the main cast. Apollo didn't need a third back story. DD had an awesome overall plot and story and it actually felt like the story was connected to Phoenix.
I actually agree with you, anon. DD was pretty cohesive, and I thought it fleshed out Athena and Apollo very well. Despite what people may say about Apollo being on the sidelines for the majority of DD, I think it brought a lot to his character with how willing he is able to hear something that is contrary to his personal findings on something so personal. I just wish we would've seen Clay before he died, AJ has a bit of a problem for never introducing us to any friends of his, but DD could've given us screentime with Clay instead of Juniper.
Many questionable choices coming from trilogy and AJ, both with plot points and even gameplay elements.
SoJ ain't any better, but DD makes it look better by comparison.

I enjoyed AA6 a lot, it made me finally care about Apollo.

It can be (and often is) offloaded to small third party studios to be done in a year tops. It has nothing on the effort to actually make a new game, especially when it's been long enough that current hardware and audience expectations would require a complete overhaul of the technology and game systems compared to previous games.

SoJ is the worst one, it fricks up Apollo backstory, Sadmandhi is a fricking gay and probably the worst "main" prosecutor in the series, my beautiful wife Athena barely shows, and the localization frickery has shown it cracks when they started to add Khurain in the mix. Also the pun is too much to the point of moronation.
Sure, Maya is back, but she doesn't even play assistant role unless you count the DLC.
The only good thing about that game is the Phoenix vs Apollo moment, and Rayfa sexy armpits, but the game overall is still inferior to AJ & DD.
This game's prosecutor was fricking awful. I went in expected a cool and collected monk, but all he does is shit on you the entire game like a massive douchebag despite it being entirely unwarranted most of the time. The other prosecutors had charisma, but this guy just calls you a homosexual ass moron anytime you do anything instead of having the wit to make burns.
Yeah, its pretty good, probably the best out of the 2nd trilogy which isnt saying much. Im currently replaying them and dd is filtering me hard, really hate that game
