But at any rate, now to point out a massive flaw in your argument about Genshin (I wasn't even sure your post was about it at first);
There is a hard-cap on how many pulls you can earn in Genshin without spending money. Not including time-limited stuff like dailies and events, it's something like 250 limited-banner pulls.
Which is like 3 5* characters, of which you have a 50% chance for 2 of them to not be the character you were pulling for, on top of the fact that's assuming you go and do absolutely everything, which is impossible within the time-span of a single banner.
It's not a question of if you value your time vs money, because at some point, you will hard-cap on how much you can earn for free and be stuck with the slow trickle from dailies (<1/3 of a pull per day) and events (<5 pulls for most events, often also drip-fed over several days). And at that point, you either hoard your pulls for literally over a year for a character's rerun, settle for someone else, or pull out your wallet.

I stopped playing Genshin because the abyss "endgame" was just total shitty. I HATE games that's just a DPS check and nothing else, in Genshin you either use a meta team or you're fricked. Which ruins the entire point of wanting to use a party of characters you like.
I would not expect this game to be any different considering they're more or less ripping off abyss. It will be timed 100% and any "skill expression" won't help because at the end of the day it's just a numbers game.

The only arguably better parts are the combat system (fast paced, parries and perfect dodges, but no elemental reactions) and the exploration (unlimited stamina outside of combat, parkour). Everything else Genshin probably does it better.
Honestly, the elemental reaction system ended up restricting team comps as much as the opened it up.
Instead of the typical gacha's red/blue/green team, you just make vape/melt/bloom team instead. The varying reaction effects also made things difficult if not impossible to balance which results in some reaction being outright useless, like electrocharge only existing to be vaped, burning doing nothing, and freeze being useless against bosses which make up a good chunk of late game content.
A lot of the reactions can also be baked into character kits instead of forced into a system which governs many aspect of the combat, this makes balancing characters much easier, i.e. instead of the hyperbloom reaction you can have a hyperbloom kit, a character that inflicts a debuff that causes an object to be spawned when another element hits the enemy, and the object gets triggered by a 3rd element. Basically identical to the hyperbloom mechanic but without forcing the devs to balance kits around it's existence since it is not available on all characters of the element.
ironic considering genshin team building is less restrictive than hsr without reactions, genshin is not as restrictive as you pretend it you be, meta slaves want their optimal team comp but you can see people clearing any content with the dumbest teams possible, even teams full of carries with no synergy

Trying to go after the female gamer often leads to turning away male gamers, especially when gachas were once heavily dominated by fanservice for straight males.
It's called omnipandering. These devs want to have stuff for as many demographics as possible to maximize profits. It's a sound concept but the reason omnipandering is a 4 letter word among gachagays is because omnipandering always means, more pandering for women and homosexuals and less for straight men, and sometimes even taking away pandering for men as in genshin's case.
It's not even a solid concept. It only worked for genshit because of the pandemic and being many normalgay's first gacha. Normalgays aren't gonna hop ship. Trying to be the genshin killer is like trying to be the WoW or CoD killer, the only thing that can kill them is themselves.

If players/revenue is down it's likely coincides with HSR's success drawing people away (which Hoyo doesn't care about as they're still in their ecosystem spending). There is a hard-cap on how many pulls you can earn in Genshin without spending money. Not including time-limited stuff like dailies and events, it's something like 250 limited-banner pulls.
Which is like 3 5* characters, of which you have a 50% chance for 2 of them to not be the character you were pulling for, on top of the fact that's assuming you go and do absolutely everything, which is impossible within the time-span of a single banner.
It's not a question of if you value your time vs money, because at some point, you will hard-cap on how much you can earn for free and be stuck with the slow trickle from dailies (<1/3 of a pull per day) and events (<5 pulls for most events, often also drip-fed over several days). And at that point, you either hoard your pulls for literally over a year for a character's rerun, settle for someone else, or pull out your wallet.

I play genshin and you are fricking lying. you get like 3 hours of "new" content at best unless it's a new regional patch. Then you get 6 or so. And it's not end game content, it's shit you roll over without effort. The "end game" content is just the abyss, which people only bother with for the gemmies. When people ask for new end game content what they really mean is more gemmies, which is why they are annoying by the new mode next patch that is abyss only you need twice as many characters for a grand total of like 1 extra roll per month.
I stopped playing Genshin because the abyss "endgame" was just total shitty. I HATE games that's just a DPS check and nothing else, in Genshin you either use a meta team or you're fricked. Which ruins the entire point of wanting to use a party of characters you like.
I would not expect this game to be any different considering they're more or less ripping off abyss. It will be timed 100% and any "skill expression" won't help because at the end of the day it's just a numbers game.

The only arguably better parts are the combat system (fast paced, parries and perfect dodges, but no elemental reactions) and the exploration (unlimited stamina outside of combat, parkour). Everything else Genshin probably does it better.

Honestly, the elemental reaction system ended up restricting team comps as much as the opened it up.
Instead of the typical gacha's red/blue/green team, you just make vape/melt/bloom team instead. The varying reaction effects also made things difficult if not impossible to balance which results in some reaction being outright useless, like electrocharge only existing to be vaped, burning doing nothing, and freeze being useless against bosses which make up a good chunk of late game content.
A lot of the reactions can also be baked into character kits instead of forced into a system which governs many aspect of the combat, this makes balancing characters much easier, i.e. instead of the hyperbloom reaction you can have a hyperbloom kit, a character that inflicts a debuff that causes an object to be spawned when another element hits the enemy, and the object gets triggered by a 3rd element. Basically identical to the hyperbloom mechanic but without forcing the devs to balance kits around it's existence since it is not available on all characters of the element.
ironic considering genshin team building is less restrictive than hsr without reactions, genshin is not as restrictive as you pretend it you be, meta slaves want their optimal team comp but you can see people clearing any content with the dumbest teams possible, even teams full of carries with no synergy

If WW is anything like PGR then the only meta teams will be mono element teams. So only 6 team archetypes. Genshin has a lot more team archetypes than that.

This let's you have the flexibility of reactions without the constraints of being tied to specific elements.
Team building in genshin is way more open and varied than in strict dps/buff/healer/tank games, like pgr and maybe ww (tho that might change).

I think the game will 100% make at least 20M on the first month, whether it makes more than that we'll see. Heavily doubt it gets anywhere close to Genshit/Staraids but for Kuro I think anything in range of AK/FGO/BA is a healthy and succesful launch as long as they can keep the momentum somewhat in the coming months and then also add good content. It'll be very very hard for Kuro to shit out content as fast as Mihomo, so I wonder how fast we'll get patches

Trying to go after the female gamer often leads to turning away male gamers, especially when gachas were once heavily dominated by fanservice for straight males.
It's called omnipandering. These devs want to have stuff for as many demographics as possible to maximize profits. It's a sound concept but the reason omnipandering is a 4 letter word among gachagays is because omnipandering always means, more pandering for women and homosexuals and less for straight men, and sometimes even taking away pandering for men as in genshin's case.

If players/revenue is down it's likely coincides with HSR's success drawing people away (which Hoyo doesn't care about as they're still in their ecosystem spending).
