I kinda wish the character designs leaned more on the sci-fi side considering the setting but I know nothing about the lore. There's also the thing about the first "region" being not-China which contributes a lot to the current art style. I believe the overall aesthetics would be way better if the art director was a asiatic or a nip but here we are. The only thing we can do is to keep giving feedback.

I honestly look forward to Mugen the most so far out of this new generation of larger scale gacha games. It's actually the only one with 2 characters I wanna play sticking out to me, while both WuWa and AP have none so far. It also helps that it isn't just genshin with not!china again. I still holding out for better designs in AP because there are already hinting at fantasy Ironblood existing in that world, while WuWa unfortunately went all in on the not!china aesthetic. But who knows how any of these games will be closer to release, ZZZ was game I was really looking forward to when it was first announced but since they clearly doubled and tripled down on trying to just get more of the genshin audience for it, while gameplay is apparently also nothing special or there isn't a lot of it for what seemed like a cool action game at first.

Problem with that one was that they rushed the game like a year and a half before it was finished to compete with genshin during the pandemic, and that it was mega pay to win. Worse yet, they had males in the gacha.
Of course they realized their mistake a couple of years down the line and removed the males and made them NPC, but that game was a sinking ship from the start, kinda like blue protocol.

I was looking some videos from the cbt.
Certainly Wuwa looks amazing and the combat looks nice and responsive, dynamic, agile, i can't complain, kuro outdone itself with the visuals. But there's a glaring issue that the untrained eye won't see, it looks like it will burn you out quite fast, the bosses are cool but not much when you will have to fight them for the nth time and they are also quite spongy. This is an advantage to attract whales that will steamroll the game and have fun and feel the gap between f2ps but terrible for f2p players that will struggle and quit when they get walled hard or roll shit upgrades for their echos. It will make decent money but not have much of a community.
