Get a signifier with cross impact and shadow eye to share attack up and power charge along with whatever else they pull out of their ass, they will absolutely carry your ass once they get rolling but you'll want an actual healer too to help that happen
this bugged the frick out of me, DLC will explain i guess
i think we can all agree tho, the "big" dlc will be a prequel where you play as the 6 founders???
and im assuming the painting you get "Siblings" in that prison sidequest is them?
DLC synopsis brings up the fact that Noah's sword is special.
It is very likely that at the very least, the DLC will go into the construction of Noah's sword and potentially Origin as well, considering that they are made up of the same material.
Never played X but watched spoilers, isn't the Origin kind of like the whole Mimesome shit in X? I mean, different but similar in that you "upload" people to it.
The not well thought out at all idea that I had watching the ending sequence is that Mira might be some kind of husk left out of Aionios after the split.
Kinda. Mims are robots, there's a central database containing recorded memories of all humans "aboard" the White Whale (all of the original humans died on Earth, the secret plan was to clone everyone new bodies with a DNA databank and then transfer their recorded memories back to the new bodies without telling them they're all dead and basically just recording of souls in copies of bodies, because you can actually carry/"save" a lot more people if you're only carrying two big servers of memories and DNA data inside a ship instead of thousands of real bodies in stasis). But then it turns out the memory servers got trashed the moment they crashed on Mira so then who was actually animating the Mims with Earth memories? Probably Origin seeing as Mira looks like an aged Aionios and Origin and X's Lifehold Core seem to serve similar purposes and also the masketta man that picks Lao's mim up at the end of the game looks like a Consul/Moebius in black armor
I'm not playing this because Xenoblade 2 was massive disappointment to me in both the story and gameplay sense and I refuse to continue to financially support the "series" that I once enjoyed after I was burned so bad. Could somebody please tell me what the story for this game is including twists and spoilers so I can potentially feel good for not buying it?
It's a love story surrounded by a whole laundry list of thematic elements.
The story and gameplay are both way better than 2 but it certainly has its own new sorts of issues as well.
I'd say the gameplay is better but it also has less to do with the gameplay. By the time you are finally ready to get a build going and have a bunch of jobs at max level the game is over and there isn't really much of a post game.
This is easily my biggest complaint. At what point do the devs expect you to settle on a build instead of constantly switching classes? I hate that message that pops up when you max out a class telling you it would be advisable to switch. It's like you're never supposed to settle into an actual synergetic party formation, which triggers my autism because if I'm not constantly switching classes I feel like I'm playing wrong.
The worst part... None of that even matters. You can literally beat the hardest content in the game on hard mode using auto equip on random classes and having the game in auto-combat.
Auto build is suboptimal and auto battle can't even be used on bosses. You did not play the game.

>Auto build is suboptimal
I think that was his point.

It's bullshit either way. The game can absolutely be cheesed even at lower levels, but auto building and auto fighting through everything doesn't even work on normal let alone hard, unless you're so overleveled that nothing was going to be remotely challenging anyway.
Proof of this? I've beaten all the superbosses on normal but at least a few of them required some actual team comp to not get wiped out in under 30 seconds.
I think one of the biggest problems this game has is it has no team preset build.
I would have liked to have a 'main' team comp that I can switch to whenever important and then when I just want to level new classes or try new things I do that.
>Real mother dead before the events of the first game >Person you saw as a Mother like figure sends your sort-of-sister to assassinate you >Dad killed by Mumkhar >Brother essentially killed by Lorithia/Dickson/Zanza turning him into a Telethia >Tons of other High Entia's turned into Telethia's as well >Have to go around killing them as they impede your path to save everyone >Alcamoth ruined and had to be built up again >Friendzoned by Shulk >further friendzoned when you help Shulk discover a means to restore Fiora's true body >Kindnapped by Z and strung up for a thousand years while all your friends die >Your fellow queen, who is a cat, got to sleep peacefully and managed to have a child with the MC of her game after getting initially friend zoned as well >Single small bedroom despite you being a queen >X3 party constantly points out how sad and lonely you look >Have to get ANOTHER pep talk to make you feel better (said pep talk is led by another strapping young man who is loves a cat) >Pep talk causes you to flash back to all your dead friends. >Song that plays during said flashback s titled "Shulk and Fiora" >No photo's of you and your friends in your room
I agree though as much as I love the themes in this story I wish they spent a few less scenes bashing them over our heads and spent a few more character development scenes on the main cast. I get they were trying to tell a bigger more meaningful story but I still liked them.
Noah relentlessly beating on an iron door until his body trembles with pain is more raw than anything Rex or Shulk ever did. Everything about N is also pretty good, memes included.
I wouldn't just limit the praise to Noah. All six characters in the main party are miles ahead of any other Xenoblade character in terms of writing and purpose. Yes, even Sena.
It's probably the most impressive part about this game. It's up there with Chrono Trigger and Persona 4 as a contender for the best JRPG party ever if it isn't taking the crown for itself.
Each main character has clear and relatable motivations and behavior, and none of them rely heavily on tropes. My main driving force for playing the whole game was seeing the development of and resolution for the cast.
this, Sena, despite being the main character with the least screentime, still was more relevant and had better moments than characters like Mòrag, Zeke, Dromarch, Pandoria, Brighid, Riki, Sharla or Reyn.
Like, I can't even remember if Mòrag and Zeke ever did anything after joining the party besides providing exposition now and then. Meanwhile Taion alone probably saved the party in 3 more times than all other side characters in 1 and 2 combined.
Ummm that would take a ton of explanation about the inner workings of the game and the sort of story they were trying to tell.
He is a much more complicated character than Rex/Shulk and it's hard to explain in a short post.
He's actually pretty generic yeah, he feels like a more chill Shulk
But if you play the game, you understand that he has the potential to be completely unhinged
I think he's a character that seems more "literally' perfect at the start; but there is a lot that's more shown through actions rather than words. Especially in the latter half of the game.
He's very much a normal person or even a pacifist thrust into a world where he needs to fight or even kill to survive and is afraid of losing his humanity while fighting.
One thing that I think is refreshing is that he always asks "why" from the very start.
For example, Shulk in XC1 after losing Fiora goes on a quest to get revenge against metal face.
Put Noah in the same situation and instead of wanting to purely get revenge, he would moreso want to understand why the mechon are attacking in the first place.
>Put Noah in the same situation and instead of wanting to purely get revenge, he would moreso want to understand why the mechon are attacking in the first place.
Indeed. Noah is a very INTJ character, that's why he's boring from the outside
He is an actual leader and tactician of the team. Taion is technically smarter, but it's always him and Noah coming with ideas regarding their journey. Awesome chemistry with everyone in the party but maybe Sena (and even then she gave him one really good talk). Almost feels like an older brother to the rest.
Pacifist, but not a moronic sort like Shulk. Won't have problems finishing scum off, just understands the dangerous nature of the power he wields and responsibility that comes with it. A lot like Jin in this aspect, especially since he shares a frick ton of traits with him in general.
Almost always calm and composed. Plan failed? Find another plan. Someone betrayed them? We will deal with it later, move on. There's a fricking Moebius who wants to talk? Sure, we will talk.
But what makes him truly awesome is everything regarding Mio which uncovers a completely different layer of his personality. Their relationships are among the most natural i've seen in JRPGs, they are two mature people who bond over shared thoughts and ideas while still leaving a space for each other to breathe before it all starts snowballing into romantic affection. But she is also his massive weak spot, and you will see the game elaborating on it in the most merciless fashion possible and showing where the road can lead him if he's not careful with his wishes.
That ending scene where he throws his sword in the ocean and the scene that follows it hit me so hard man...
Some of the weaker scenes with Noah hit harder then Rex/Shulk at their best.

I'd say Noah is actually more of a pacifist than Shulk though not as "moronic" as well. Shulk gets a bit excited in his slaughter sometimes and seems to be enjoying himself at others. Noah never wanted to fight anything and actively seems to dislike it all the way till the end.
Almost none of the people in this world want to fight. Everyone is just normal people from their motherlands thrust into this system. These people aren't like Shulk/Rex/Pyra/Malos etc etc... The entire cast of this game is the random NPC from some random town you forgot the name of essentially.
Most people in the world don't question why they're fighting at all. When Vandham asks the rhetorical question on why they're fighting at the beginning of the game they all list tripe like avenging falling comrades or "raaaah see enemy, kill enemy". Noah's the only person to speak up and say "this world is fricked up, why are we forced to fight?"
I think Noah and Sena are one of, if not the only pairing that doesn't have a shared camp animation. He has the worst possible affinity for her class too, maybe Mio really is the only thing they have in common.
>bird-looking Kevesi b***h eavesdrops on my conversation about me needing 10 Ice Cabbages for the cook so I can finally get promoted >she goes and hands them to the cook herself and gets all the credit >everyone loves her and her stupid gang
Snuff me out, Queen. I can’t take it.
So I just beat the game, god the final boss had a lot of hp, so I was wondering When exactly does Noah disappear? I could still see him when the camera was behind him but I tottaly lost him on the angle change
>killed a couple dozen consuls by the time you get to Lost Colony >also killed 3 of the big frickoff Levnises at the same time during the prison break >one consul and a single Levnis >everyone suddenly, for no reason outside of plot armor, decides to collectively shit their pants and avoid him solely so they can have the big bombastic bullshit later, despite basically ruining that by all the previously mentioned nonsense
There was no god damned reason whatsoever for them not to grind him into pulp before going and talking to ice face. Absolutely fricking moronic.
Just reached chapter 6, and my god the end of chapter 5 was beautiful. Seeing N's breakdown was so satisfying. N is like a discount Grahf, wished he (and M) appears more in the beginning, spread out his motive and give more parallel to Noah. Maybe show up to power up random villains, and have an unwinnable fight or two, and I mean truly unwinnable, not getting steamrolled during the fight because your party is overleveled from all the sidequest but turns out fine in the cutscene afterward.
Im playing it on a 4k huge ass tv and I have no issue with it. The upscaling/sharoness algos for new tvs are great in some games and this is one of those. Id rather prefer 60 fps than higher resolution.
The DLC better start off with Melia's wedding. The groom can have his face perpetually obscured by a lens flare for all i care, i just don't want her to die alone.
This implies they had a foursome and he came in all of them at the same time. This one image is probably the craziest thing to ever be put in a AAA game.
In hindsight it's pretty weird how they never brought up blades and childbirth in XC2, only confirming the possibility in the sequel. Like what becomes of the children, are they half-blades, or just humans? Are they born as flesh eaters, or some new concept entirely?
I like it that the lucky seven is literally just a really sharp sword but I really want to know where the frick Riku got it. Lanz wanted something just a strong and Riku denied it, implying that he know he can get/make a similar weapon but they left it unexplained or just didn't want to reveal yetit's that fricking nopon archsage shenanigans again isn't it?
my original theory about halfway thru the game was that rex and shulk were 2 of the founders and would be DLC but after
this bugged the frick out of me, DLC will explain i guess
i think we can all agree tho, the "big" dlc will be a prequel where you play as the 6 founders???
and im assuming the painting you get "Siblings" in that prison sidequest is them?
this where they go out of the way to show you 6 specific randoms i would guess this will be the dlc as well
playing the six founders would be dull, its the exact same setup as the main game except >we know exactly where its going and the climax will just be "they founded the city" >4 of the party members just came from an older city >no new revelations to be had except for the 7th founder who could easily be revealed in a sequel anyway
This.
In Torna we got to see major characters like Jin, Malos, and important background characters like Addam and Lora get some time to shine. On top of that members like Mythra, Haze, Brighid, Aegeon, and Minoth.
But outside of Addam and Lora, who had their personalities established in the base game and others from the base game, would anyone really say they were huge fans of Hugo or some shit?
Founders will pretty much be that; 6 Hugos.
In a Torna-sized expansion, it'd be hard to give them enough of a character to make them all shine. Really who would care about these 6 characters?
None of them play an important role in the base game unlike Jin and the others.
they show that pic of Rex with his children for a reason, so we know their souls were also somewhere around Origin and thus were part of Aionios' cycle of death and rebirth
Mio most likely has the soul of Nia's child, since Nia talks about how she was always looking for her and really wanted to talk with her, but refuses to say anything more than that now the question is if the same happened to Pyra's and Mythra's kids
If Pyra's kid is a character in the game it's almost definitely Cammuravi. Mythra's kid being Ethel makes some sense but the hair color doesn't match so who knows.
a fun theory is Ethel being Shulk and Fiora’s kid or at least grandkid, with how Ethel’s fighting style is a direct parallel to mecha Fiora’s. Also Noah treating her as a bigsis figure. The hair colour doesnt really match the parents but still
Or Ashera being Reyn and Sharla’s kid and learnt her fighting style and manner of speech from emulating uncle Dunban >inb4 the 2 families of Shulk and Rex get 2 pairs married between them. Noah Mio, Ethel Carmuravi
>toward the middle part of ch4 hard >boss battle boils down to manualling an Agnisian healer and spamming chain attack again
kinda sad it fell into the same trapping again, even tho building team and dealing with chain attack rng are still fun. Honestly miss B, dude actually encouraged character swapping and heal controlling
>interlinking shares buffs between characters >Signifer can abuse this to borrow unobtainable buffs like Awakening and Invincible and spread them to the whole team
Finished the game tonight. Ending was kino but part of me feels like a certain element of camaraderie among the main party was lost after the beginning of chapter 6 (which is overall my favorite moment in the game). It becomes a lot less about their personal interactions and more about them loudly proclaiming what the themes of the game are.
Still, those themes are compelling and I cried like a b***h at the end, so mission accomplished I guess.
I agree a lot. Ch 6-7 felt more like a bunch of anime moments with some good stuff here and there (namely Noah agreeing that he would have turned out like N if outside factors didn't exist).
But as a whole 3 is by far my most favorite title.
I also finished it tonight, kept it together until they started running at each other.
I don't fully understand why the worlds separated? I thought the whole point was to properly let the worlds merge and let origin do it's original purpose of protecting the people of both worlds and hopefully ensuring they can live on in this new merged world.
It's kept vague if the worlds fully seperated considering Noah disappears in the post credits scene and the fact that he keeps Mio's flute. Kid Eunie might even have Taion's book at the end too, but it's hard to make out.
Origin essentially works as a wish granting device based on the collective souls/consciousness inside it. Z was formed because everyone was afraid of what would happen in the future instead of trusting that Origin would work.
You destroy that fear thanks to N/M and Origin actually starts doing what was originally planned which is to reboot the worlds.
But remember the souls of Origin have gone through hundreds of cycles in Aionios; it may have altered the outcome somewhat. Especially with the party and city, probably furthering the desire for both worlds to coexist. So instead of a pure seperation, the worlds are still linked in some way (explaining Noah hearing the flute and disappearing)
what you guys think are the best classes?
incursor has to be the most broken, right?
sword fighter / fencer close runner up
lifesage/signifer best healers
heavy guard best block, zephyr best dodge tanks
ive been running
triple incursor
heavy guard
lifesage
signifier
ashera joining as off tank and for her busted chain attack / heroic chain
Soulhacker is fricking silly once you pick up the good arts. You can deal so much damage that it's pretty much impossible for tanks to keep aggro, and then massively profit off of your own impending death with Underworld Rage. Even if you don't want to go pure DPS it's got some great utility options too.
i have been grabbing all the skills, but havent messed with it yet, its alot of shit to read thru
are the soulhacker tanks/healers also really good?
i dont see anything being better than lifesage but i could see a tank being replaced
theres a bunch more niche combo like >war medic with the accessory that 100% refill your art when you revive an ally + as many defensive item/skill you can fit on
War medic can heal an ally to almost 100% upon revival, throw out a field and extra heal/debuffs from overfall/no love lost, then scoot off to revive another. rinse and repeat. it opens a viable 1-2 healers only for superbosses
>fiona hero quest >objective: help out 5 people >when you accept the quest, the very first objective marker you see that is right next to you is actually the 'give up?' option >'yes' is the default answer which you will pick if you just mash the a button
You need to remember that Eunie loved Fortune Clovers, so I'd imagine the number 4 is very important to her.
Also, she's pretty clearly teasing Taion in the situation, mainly for his denseness. There are also multiple moments in sidequests and the main story that show Eunie is still very much into him.
Taion WAS into Nimue. The Nimue he knew is long gone, and he knows it. He obviously still cares about her, but their positions have been reversed and he’s the older and wiser one looking after her.
Eunie also has a small moment with Taion that heavily sounds romantic in that very same quest.
Also, Taion WAS into Nimue, but the new Nimue he wants to lead onto a different path so that she doesn't suffer the same fate. He still loves her, but in a different way.
I would go on a limb and say pretty much all those points are done better in XC2 over XC3. Especially main villain and overall writing. Characters too depending on taste.
I think overall 3 was better than 2 in its writing, where 2 really beats 3 for me in its final act.
Though honestly I still think the ending of 3 is better than 2.

XC2 has better writing because it has more relateable themes and ultimately take a deeper dive into the questions it presents. Is God real? If he is, why did he make the world like it is? Why create humans to be so flawed? What are Blades and why do they need to forget everything upon returning to their core crystals, and are they even the same person once they reawaken? Why are Titans dying, forcing empires and kingdoms to war for territory? The state of the world shapes you as a person and in the face of those questions, do you choose to have hope for the future or do you despair and long for oblivion? All these questions are constant throughout the entire game and the actions of Rex, his friends, Amalthus and Torna are all connected through those themes.

Meanwhile, XC3 is all about the cycle of life and death being treated as just another working week. Not until the main party gets Ouroboros'd does anyone question the state of the world and after that the entire spiel for pretty much the entire game is "god we were so stupid to fight with eachother for no reason, it's so much better to just live in peace, why didn't we think of that before". And then the gang sets off to spread the gospel of peace and love while fighting off a cavalcade of two-bit villains, their edgelord waifugay of a commander, and the leader of the troupe who turns out to be the Smooze.

Plenty of people are shown throughout the game and sidequests to have inwardly wanted to stop fighting, but they are compelled by the people who raised them, the culture that was manufactured for them, and the existence of a perceived enemy to fight for their lives. It was a world of kill or be killed and they were not even afforded a lot of time to live to make that decision. In fact, it's even revealed that a lot of people did try to leave that cycle and change the world but failed, and there's an entire civilization of people who remain free from that system who are fighting to free everyone else. The reason Noah and the rest have to fight is because Moebius will not let the world change unless they do.
so whats postgame?
need to hunt the big 5 end games guys
the 2 new classes
are there any specific post game quests? because i think i max autism the game and did every quest b4 the final boss
i cant be the only one who thinks Crys was Klaus right? he even hints to Noah about the consequences of his future actions like how he fricked up everything himself before
my stupid horrible dlc idea that i know wont happen is it to be where you play in the future of 1 and 2 after their worlds find a way to communicate and travel between each other. Main playable cast is the reincarnations/descendants of the aionis gang as they were in normal bionis and alrest with the other cast and Heroes being 1 and 2 cameos/reincarnation/family. Riku is still alive somehow and also we finally meet Consol A. The dumb twist of the first act is that the obvious noah reincarnation gets possessed by our Noah by accident, somehow related to the villains plans to bring back their family and community which got destroyed in the Past. kinda like a weird parallel to moebius wanting to remain in the now, and ouroborus focusing on the future.
Again, stupid, but by this point ive been thinking about it too much that might write it down for my own purposes.
Perfect Works, simply put, was a massive lore compendium for Xenogears. It outlined Takahashi's whole vision for Xenogears, as the Xenogears we played was actually Episode 5 in his tale.
Perfect Works is brought up a lot nowadays because there are many references to it in the newer games, and 3 especially deals with the idea of what would happen if God/Zohar/The Conduit leaves?
Their colonies were more fun and/or interesting, agnus was nearly the same except Mu which kinda blew it with its reveal. Should have been her ascension quest that the girl she thought was her friend and ally and YOU the player got to know was anything but that.
it’s weird how the three colonies that are hostile to the party after liberation (in varying degrees) are all keves. you would have thought that there would be more jeremys and kites around the place
to be fair on the Agnisian side >a colony full of new recruit wide eyed to the world (Teach) >a depressed colony (Juniper) >a “frick the outside world we have the greatest defense” colony (Isurd)
only Alexandria’s is try-harding. Its kind of a wonder that Kevesi havent wiped the Agnisian side out alr
They're pissed at the Consuls for essentially blackmailing Ethel and Cammuravi into fighting them, then laughing at their decision to duel to the death.
I'm in my replay, in the start of Chapter 3, and decided to unlock Flash Fencer for everyone before opening the way to Ribbi Flats. Nice to have that done and not be so overleveled, it'll balance out if I don't overkill the first set of Hero Quest optional bosses.
I don’t even hate 2 but there’s a lot of shit that brings that game down mechanically that stops me from enjoying it, not to mention the first few chapters are a slog. And the humor misses more than it hits.
Still liked the cast though and the story was good once it actually got going
Ashera but then she didn't really do anything and I needed healing so I brought Fiona and controlled healer Noah and then proceeded to take a steaming shit on it all instead...
Just beat Ethel and Cammuravi they looked so happy fighting each other. That I found that scene actually pretty cute. Ethel saying his name so damn passionately was something else.
This is the current road map. If Challenge Mode is anything like 2, you'll get a portal to a new area where a Nopon Sage will let you partake in a series of dubiously canon fights of varying difficulties (with levels set for each fight, and sometimes special conditions like party restrictions or even playing as enemies in unique scenarios, etc.). At the end of the fight you'll be awarded a special currency based on how well you did in the fight, and will be able to trade it for special items such as alternate costumes and strong accessories (in XC2 the costumes WERE accessories, you had to equip them in your accessory slot, and the cooler looking ones usually had strong effects so you wouldn't be gimping yourself to look cool, but XC3 has a whole separate appearance menu so it's possible costumes and accessories will be separate purchases)
Here's the thing. So when XC2's expansion pass was announced in November 2019, they teased Torna (picrel).
The teaser pic for this expansion pass is the swords of Shulk, Rex, and Noah. So it's looking like an Epilogue DLC.
they're just playing it safe with the dates, since they're selling you something that doesn't even exist yet, so failing to deliver on time would put them in a bad spot
Runs pretty well, with the 60FPS mod and my 6 year old GTX 1080 I average ~50FPS in wide open areas, smaller maps are usually locked 60
Almost no graphics issues now besides missing particles/motes, apparently the main gfx dev for the emus isn't that interested in XC so dunno if that'll get fixed any time soon tho
>that final boss
At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, that was probably one of the coolest final battle setpieces I've ever seen in a JRPG. The environmental effects in the theater, each character breaking free from their shackles and getting a free chain attack, X and Y showing up in phase 2, the giant heads made of pure moebius energy, Melia and Nia piloting the castle mechs, all the heroes showing up to help... it was all so fricking kino bros.
You're talking about him like he's an actual person with the ability to think rationally. He's literally the manifestation of everyone's fear of the dimensions colliding, and I think that if you looked up and saw a planet hurtling toward you you'd be convinced the world was gonna end too.
Well Z wasn't any better. Hence the. >Well how do you know it won't work you doomBlack person?
The whole point is that we don't even know what the future holds, but sticking to the past/present moment, while not bad, prevents people from moving forward and learning.
>Noah says this, but in the most kino way possible
That's the part that got me to actually tear up. Insurmountable odds being met with unstoppable hope for a better future will never not be the best way to end a game.
Monica class is the "AoE / spike damage" class. It isnt exactly the most exciting to play because most of the value is from passive skills and stances rather than by mashing the skill that does big number, but it is very good for a variety of reasons and solves the problem of "quest fight has me get ganked by 8 wolves that tear my healers apart in the first 0.5 seconds"
Zeon's class is the best healer in the game. Remove all aggro pulls for raw survivability skills, equip a memory locket and revive gems, and win every fight by default because you cannot lose if you cannot party wipe.
Memory Locket lets non-healers revive people. Revive gems let you revive people at nearly double the speed with over half of their health instead of reviving them in critical range. This means the Zeonhealer can bring your actual tank from 0hp to 4000hp in about half a second, and the same with everyone else. Also, because it never pulls aggro and has some of the best defenses in the game, it shrugs off lethal party-wipe AoEs and then has time to pick up the entire team while tanking the enemy.
>Fiona's bonus has an "Increased Chain Gauge" effect, in which it increases the chain gauge by level 80 or lower will increase the Chain Gauge by 1 time, while level 81 or higher will increase by 2 times
from gamewith tho
no, even more so because that's only possible if fiona is offered at your third round
it's just that fiona is probably the most useful hero in the late game
>Riku is Riku
LMAOOOO yeah yeah uyou're just a little nopon right?? LMAO a nopon that for some reason has a sword that can remake reality LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL just a little nopon with a sword that can fricking destroy everything in the world with a single fricking swipe nothing more right?!?!?!? LMAOOOOOOO
Frick that little "nopon" in fact, frick his little gf too. Im going to frick his little manana until I start getting some fricking answers.
Yes I was mistaken, you need to do Alexandria's ascension quest before getting to Dorrick's final phase.
In case of phase 5 you need to find out who is the mastermind behind the thefts in the maintenance bay. You find a rumor bubble about it in Colony 30. I think you might need to send Colony Iota supplies to Colony 30 with the Collectopaedia Cards first though, in which case you'd need to do the questline to unlock those first.
Can someone tell me how to install theboy181's mods? I put all the folders as shown in the picture but none of them work. They all have the same folder (exefs) and the same filename (1.1.0.pchtxt). Which means I actually don't know what I'm doing.
Yeah I just realized it was supposed to be that way. Only reason I found out is because I googled and someone said to put it on the folder that shows up when you right click the game > open mod location. I put the folders on the config folder because the previous mods were put there. I'm using the dirty Yuzu but it seems like the Vulkan workaround doesn't work there. The game just closes after getting to the title screen. Why?
Lastly, which of the optional ones drop the framerate really hard? I don't plan on using the 60fps anyway since my PC (i5, 1070 ti) can't take it.
Most of the dirty yuzu builds were using hacks to reduce opengl memory usage afaik, maybe those break vulkan or something
Latest build at https://pineappleea.github.io/ should work with vulkan fine
The 2k/disable scaling ones are probably the ones that hit FPS the most, though I've been using those with my gtx1080 and usually get ~50fps in outdoors areas with the 60fps mod, didn't really notice any framerate change with the lod/dof mods
Okay this actually works with Vulkan now. Thanks for that link.
The only thing that's an issue now is the effect for the corpses right? Aside from that everything works great?
Black fog is a weak spot in Aionios' dimensional fabric caused by friction between the two worlds. If this friction becomes to great then it results in an annihilation event, basically a miniature version what would've happened if the two worlds had collided to begin with.
The fog king is an enemy from XB2 that crossed the dimensional rift.

also can you grind gold nopon coins anywhere? farming for some of the rank 10 gems is going to be a huge pain in the ass otherwise
>also can you grind gold nopon coins anywhere? farming for some of the rank 10 gems is going to be a huge pain in the ass otherwise
don't think so
but to be honest, farming SOME rank X gems is a pain. For most of them you can burst an UM over and over again and get everything you need from it in less than 10 minutes. It's only a few specific drops like auxilia hex armors and krabble drops that are hell
Finally finished 3 so I can come back here now.
The final boss was cool but HOLY FRICK it was way too long.
The game was cool. I liked it more than 2; not sure if I like it more than 1 or not. It does have probably my favorite part in the series though.
Also, about the ending. Did little Noah just disappear into thin air at the end there?
Just finished the game last night and the entire final boss experience was pure ludo (albeit disgustingly fricking long and thank god I did it in one go)
>oh shit no chain attacks and interlinks >everyone says their lines, breaks the shackles and goes ham >agnus and keves fighting together as one >Z as a big bobble head of moebius energy >the castles transformed into giant mechs >the fricking guitar kicks in and starts shredding https://youtu.be/qDosQa0dmr8?t=97 >all the heroes join in >fricking nia and melia too >nia also has the aegis swords
Played 1, X, and 2 but haven’t looked into 3 yet. Is it true that the homosexual blue Rex-wannabe Nopon is a major character? He seems so fricking cringey it almost makes me not want to get the game if he’s that important to the series, and Riki was one of my favorites.
this blue rex clone’s character and my lack of knowledge of him is literally one of the only things stopping me from spending $60 on the game, I despised Rex that much.
good thing I’ve been playing subbed since 2, I remember the dub for 2 was atrocious since they hired people off the street and didn’t give them context for any of the lines. is 3’s any better?
i usually dont care if people like sub/dub
but for xeno games the dub is absolutely atrocious, not just because the voice actor caliber is clearly not as good, not only because the accents are bad, but because the voices and inflection the actors use are sometimes so off from what the character's personality is supposed to be
i know in 2 the cast didnt even get full scripts so they were just reading random lines, and you can tell
its awful and if you actually like the dub i think you have brain damage
There is only one person who types like you do dude.

literally my first post here today.
I still cannot fathom why of anything in the fricking game they decided to change NAMES in 2 and 3 for absolutely no goddamn reason.
It's literally ONLY the Japanese names too.
xenophobic moronic localization shit for moronic dubBlack folk. Simple.
>is a major character?
I mean, he is part of the main cast. But as a nopon hater, I found him completely inoffensive. He's just a very good mechanic that gets shit done and gives advice when needed. He doesn't actually act like rex or anything.
He’s more like “background-ish” like Riki? I just got worried when I saw some posts acting like he was super important to the series when he’s literally just a nopon with angry Kirby eyes and Rex’s hair.
nope damage cancel is good, but attacking more is useful for every class even healer/tank and helps you churn out chain attacks faster which is the most important thing post game
good, wiggling the joystick to make rex have a seizure was the ugliest game decision in the series. ruined the point of any of the models or animations
[...]
Awesome, bit worried by what “fixed” means but anything is better than a combat system revolving around autoattack cancelling.
this, i tried to tinker with multiple classes and theres no discernible differences, positioning and field arts are very important so auto cancelling into and out of arts with the R stick dash to move quickly around when you need to still gives you something to do besides just watching yourself auto
once you get lategame and more classes youre not standing still alot anyway
Moving doesnt reset the autoattack timer any more, but the game is a lot more focused on movement and positioning in general. Attackers want to be moving around the enemy to get different positional bonuses for different skills from the sides and back, a ton of units create various field effects that you want to be chasing around as a tank, and as a healer you are constantly trying to herd everyone into said AoE effects.
Sweet, I appreciate your post. I really wanted to like 2’s combat but it eventually devolved into nothing but standing in one spot and wiggling the stick to autoattack cancel and nothing else, along with the lackluster character customization (accessories and that’s it other than pouch items?) really bummed me out. I kind of like the mercenary system where you send blades out on missions though, does something like that return?
no but the cast is very customizable as this anon shows
HOW TO BECOME INVINCIBLE
requirements:
troubador, unlimited sword talent art for noah, signifer >Give Noah the capable hands skill and also mio >make mio a signifer with the troubador talent art >unzip katana on noah >interlink to pass invincibility buff to mio >cancel interlink >resonant flag on mio >talent art on mio >have at least one other signifer with this talent art as well to maintain uptime >you now have 100% invincibility buff with full uptime the entire fight >only one defender needed to keep starting aggro and not die >depending on the boss, dont even need a defender
you can make all kinds of wacky builds to turbo cheese stuff
whats the point of having to learn all classes with all characters? Why if i complete a world event it appears again?? what does the fog do? Game is easy af too
What do I do now? I heard leveling through bonus xp over levels you and makes it harder to rank up classes. So I've almost completely avoided that. But I can barely do any quests cause they're all higher lvls than I'm currently at
you still dont have alot of class options atm, id make sure you get fencer for everyone before you move on, but focus on doing just the main story for a bit and get more classes, the later classes give you alot more power and variety, just doing the main story doesnt lock you out of any quest at any time

there are so many buff interactions that I don't think the devs thought through very well
I expect the invincibility cheese to actually get patched because funny enough, there is no downside like lower damage in return for survivability and this strat alone would make the entirety of the challenge area a joke
I still cannot fathom why of anything in the fricking game they decided to change NAMES in 2 and 3 for absolutely no goddamn reason.
It's literally ONLY the Japanese names too.
Not just nopon dialogue. They made up most unvoiced scenes. Voiced ones are butchered too.
There are things like one nopon is calling someone fat and it's censored in western version for example. Because you know, you can't call someone fat in burgerland.
>why are weebs like this?
Imagine being that fricking moronic and ignorant that you're fricking defending garbage meme localization and insult people that spent many days on hacking game files for people that want to enjoy this game without cringe. have a nice day you fricking moron.
How could you take the story which is an important part of Xeno games seriously when the dub is objectively bad? I'll always refer to the hilarious example of when jin and malos killed rex. And instead of acting shocked like you're supposed to after witnessing a murder you had no idea was coming, nia asks why they did that as if she just saw them bully the kid instead. It was pathetic. I don't care if Welsh accents are unique among dubs if the actual acting isn't worth shit
go play the game in japanese if you're so butthurt about the localization

Wait, so you mean to tell me that I can't complain about a location made for people with no brains at the same time having to pay for such crap with my money? Great logic, moron.

You paid for the japanese dub and script, what's the issue here? You're playing the game as the developers intended?

Does that mean I'm supposed to not expect at least the bare minimum of an acceptable level of translation, as in the case of games from Sega or even Atlus? Does it mean I'm supposed to eat every crap they hand me? No, I'm not a xenophobic drone like you dubBlack folk.
>Doing Unique Monsters in sync with their level, at CH3 so far. >Characters shift into Interlink unwarranted and cause massive issues with survivability >Learn you can't turn off AI Interlink until the end of CH3
I really fricking hate the mechanic creeping in this game. Among all the other issues with the AI and how uncontrollable it can feel, that is just another issue on top.
i like alot of dub stuff, xenoblade dub is atrocious, like most dubs NoA gets their hands on, most dubs are fine to just as good as the subs
this game is not one of those
NoE was in charge of localization. And the only game with a bad localization was 2, and even then that's mostly because of how rushed it was since they had strict deadlines. But 1's and 3's english dubs are great, and you're missing out by not using them.
1 i can stomach but stiill not a fan, 3 just ruins so many charactters its criminal, Alexandria being one of them
also why does fricking nintendo change their names, what was wrong with Nina?
Because I want to talk about actual game and actual characters and their original personalities, not rewritten and altered meme dub garbage that has nothing to do with this game. Is it that hard to understand?
then why don't you go discuss it in japanese boards instead, where you will be able to talk about your pristine script and immaculate voice acting, since you're fluent in japanese, right? you don't seethe and mald over people using the english dub just to be an EOP yourself, right?

I thought it was weird how they renamed him "Teach" in the dub when Shido sounds like a perfectly normal name, but then it made more sense when it was revealed to not be his real name.

Reading this thread now, it's dubgays again started calling others out on the fact that other people despise localization as opposed to these halfwits using dubgays. Nothing new to be honest.
This thread proves yet again that people who use the dubs are really the kind of idiots people who don't touch the heresy called dubbing think they are.
yeah, you can notice by how hard he tries to make himself look like a moron, that he's the same guy who spammed about the game being censored, then about the game's sales, then about how everyone HATED xenoblade 3, and now about the english dub
>and now about the english dub
Overwhelming majority of people outside US hates on ANY dubs. Like, imagine watching burger movie dubbed in my native language. Or playing Polish game dubbed in other language.
People that are using the dubs are literally kids or people with ultra low IQ. No matter what you say, this is the main target audience for dubs. Always.
>Dude everyone hates dubs >meanwhile dubs in games and anime are being produced more then any other time in history
Funny how everyone hates them yet they continue to sell, innit?
If thats the case they must make a profit off it right? Enough people enjoy it to where they make a profit from it thats just fact or else they would have stopped that shit way back in the 90s.
Making a profit of morons is the best thing ever.
At least official anime subs providers are making separate subs for original audio and gabo localized to the core trash for dubs. This show be already a standard in games, so no one would complain about trash dubs (that are the main reason why the translations of Japanese games are so fricking awful). Sega did it in Yakuza and Judgement games. Hope this trend will continue.

I agree completely on that point. There's no reason that shouldn't be the standard.
not to mention, he's not even right about people "hating" dubs
the only reason anime is so popular in latin language speaking countries is thanks to the dub of series like dragon ball and saint seiya , that became so popular a lot of their voice actors are still famous to this day
people fricking love dubbed anime, series, movies and games
I see this mostly in the post internet age, when people used to pirate anime and then make fansub of them. I guess the sub had becoming a tradition since then.
Boomer in France remember the club dorothy and the dubs fondly, even if it was more self parody more than anything like Ken le Survivant.
no, english XC1 is unironically the superior version
imagine hearing this godtier voice acting and thinking "hmmmm, it would be better if a japanese woman with a squeaky voice voiced the teenager main character, and with a 60+ yo granny voicing the grown ass man", because that's what weebs consider good voice acting
Bros I actually understand the argument. I identify as a robot and its very hard to enjoy games that have robots in them. I know they aren't being voiced by real robots so it completely kills my enjoyment. I have to turn off the audio and just imagine the voices myself. Like transformers for example. Love the games, but hate the voices. They aren't actual robots and being a robot myself, I know robots would never name each other stupid shit like that.
>DUDE THE STAR WARS PREQUELS ARE THE BEST BECAUSE IT WAS MADE BY THE ORGINAL CREATOR THAT MEANS THE ORGINAL TRILOGY AND ANYTHING ELSE STAR WARS RELATED IS SHIT

I just started my third day of prison, will I be able to finish chapter 5 tonight in say, 5 hours?
I think not
oof
It's a feature length film, bro.
>you're name will be... Bifteen
does sena have autism
She is the dumbest party member
She only has 15TP
she is very stupid (cute)
that is adorable.

Even Noah approved that
but does it have a vore move
>Set AI to burst combos

I hate this shit AI
Just don't have any launch arts set.
Is it ever explained why Riku gave one of the most powerful swords in the world to Noah?
its a nopon, nopons do silly things. turn your brain off chud
The side quests seem to suggest all the Nopon seem to be hanging around shards of Origin...
don't worry about it
who the frick is this nopon?
Riku just Riku, common variety Nopon
this bugged the frick out of me, DLC will explain i guess
i think we can all agree tho, the "big" dlc will be a prequel where you play as the 6 founders???
and im assuming the painting you get "Siblings" in that prison sidequest is them?
>the "big" dlc will be a prequel where you play as the 6 founders???
I hope not, why go back to a world that doesn't exist anymore?
why go back to torna?
and its about the only thing they didnt explain in the story aside from riku
>why go back to torna?
To explore major characters like Jin and Lora
Who gives a frick about the founders
depends who they are, if its literal 6 randoms, meh
if its shulks kid, the 3 rex kids, ??? idk could be cool
only two of them have a sibling relationship.
also, one of them is already a descendant of ancient Mio and ancient Noah's son
>dlc will explain
don't fricking expect it, this game practically goes out of its way to leave shit unexplained or open to interpretation
DLC synopsis brings up the fact that Noah's sword is special.
It is very likely that at the very least, the DLC will go into the construction of Noah's sword and potentially Origin as well, considering that they are made up of the same material.
Is this some datamined stuff?
There was a teaser for the synopsis back when the pass first was teased. I need to go and find it though.
Nopon orchestrated everything since the very first game
Nopon steel is folded 7 times, makes it stronger than any other steel. Pretty simple anon, come on
>yfw Riku is behind nearly every event in the Xeno franchise that includes Gears and Saga
Riku thought giving the weapon made to save the world to a pacifist would be a funny joke.
Is the AI capable of cancelling arts or should I not give them the Empowered Combo gem?
Never played X but watched spoilers, isn't the Origin kind of like the whole Mimesome shit in X? I mean, different but similar in that you "upload" people to it.
Yeah it's pretty similar
This game has FMJ too which is from XCX
I wonder if they're hinting at something...
>Mira is just a planet generated by the fears of the people
oh shit
>the fear that mankind cannot find a new home
Since Mira pulls in all kinds of races it could even be a collective fear across the galaxy
and what a damn fine planet they generated
The not well thought out at all idea that I had watching the ending sequence is that Mira might be some kind of husk left out of Aionios after the split.
Mira I think does have some similarities to Aionios
But I got more of a reality wide dumping ground out of Mira as opposed to just two worlds
Both X and 3 has some Xenogears stuff in it.
Probably Origin seeing as Mira looks like an aged Aionios and Origin and X's Lifehold Core seem to serve similar purposes and also the masketta man that picks Lao's mim up at the end of the game looks like a Consul/Moebius in black armor
>end of the game looks like a Consul/Moebius in black armor
Oh frick. I forgot about that.
I need a sequel so badly, I need to know!
I can't get over the island in Cadensia that looks like Sylvalum.
is there a higher res image of the masketta man?
You need to pull up the model ripped from the game. That's unused concept art.
>People suspect he is the Grahf of this series, also looks like a Testament
he just uses a recolored granada armor set
but the purple thing in the chest, yeah
Ah true, forgot about that. Hmm, guess we'll never know.
🙁
I mean consul armor still has a similar design, and so does the purple thing in the chest as well
This is the missing Consul, Consul A(lvis)
It is pretty crazy how it's the only letter missing. I expect/hope it to be part of the epilogue DLC. Either A(lvis) or A(ionios) personified.
Only concept art from the art book
I'm not playing this because Xenoblade 2 was massive disappointment to me in both the story and gameplay sense and I refuse to continue to financially support the "series" that I once enjoyed after I was burned so bad. Could somebody please tell me what the story for this game is including twists and spoilers so I can potentially feel good for not buying it?
No, jut buy it
It's a love story surrounded by a whole laundry list of thematic elements.
I started setting up good classes for the big story bosses. It's a lot of work switching though.
Not being able to save character/party builds strikes me as a huge oversight, unless the option is there and I'm missing it.
I don't think there is an option
But yeah loadouts would be really nice for an update
It will save your loadout when you go back to a class.
Maybe just be yourself and play the classes you like?
I think one of the biggest problems this game has is it has no team preset build.
I would have liked to have a 'main' team comp that I can switch to whenever important and then when I just want to level new classes or try new things I do that.
Obligatory and updated.

Is Noah the best Xenoblade protagonist?
Rex and Noah are both extremely cool for different reasons
Shulk lost me the second he lost the murder boner
Easily. He is one of the best written video game characters of the last decade.
Mio is
I wouldn't just limit the praise to Noah.
Zeke did a lot of stuff in Indol and especially Tantal, he had way more going on than Sena.
whats so great about noah? seemed generic in the trailers.
He is generic, people just attribute another character's backstory to him for some reason.
Noah is also comparable to Fei in this regard. Fei came across as more whiny though and would get shit from the other characters for it.
To be fair Shulk is literally killing robots most of the time so it's not a fair comparison.
Shulk literally dropped his revenge on the spot when he realized the robots had homs in them, even if it was Mumkhar.
To be fair it was also because one of those homs in robots was Fiora
Stopping Dunban was still cringe as frick.
Well said
I think Noah and Sena are one of, if not the only pairing that doesn't have a shared camp animation. He has the worst possible affinity for her class too, maybe Mio really is the only thing they have in common.
>asks everyone for their opinion on whether he should send off K
>they all say no
>does it anyway
What a based protag.
Noah toots as he pleases
>P and O pissed him off so much he specifically excluded them in his off-seeing afterward, citing “my heart is too tired already”
He’s got big breasts
whenever he finds something even remotely considered a dead body he has an irresistable urge to fweet at it
Meanwhile in Ganker's colony
uoooohhh first termer's belly and chest
>Hey guys, who wants to come with me on a supply run to Colony Mu?
>bird-looking Kevesi b***h eavesdrops on my conversation about me needing 10 Ice Cabbages for the cook so I can finally get promoted
>she goes and hands them to the cook herself and gets all the credit
>everyone loves her and her stupid gang
Snuff me out, Queen. I can’t take it.
>Miang forcibly takes over Ellie's body
>M willing gives hers up for Mio
Pure pottery.
So I just beat the game, god the final boss had a lot of hp, so I was wondering When exactly does Noah disappear? I could still see him when the camera was behind him but I tottaly lost him on the angle change
it's headcanon
>reskinned 50 times just like Consul Morbius
>finish the game
>have a few lot side quest left
>too lazy to do it
does healing power affect how good regen is, or is it buff power?
>killed a couple dozen consuls by the time you get to Lost Colony
>also killed 3 of the big frickoff Levnises at the same time during the prison break
>one consul and a single Levnis
>everyone suddenly, for no reason outside of plot armor, decides to collectively shit their pants and avoid him solely so they can have the big bombastic bullshit later, despite basically ruining that by all the previously mentioned nonsense
There was no god damned reason whatsoever for them not to grind him into pulp before going and talking to ice face. Absolutely fricking moronic.
So I just finished Eunie's quest, is the medic gunner worth leveling for anyone specifically?
The master arts are nice to have for anyone who wants big a ether attack and/or daze access
Just reached chapter 6, and my god the end of chapter 5 was beautiful. Seeing N's breakdown was so satisfying. N is like a discount Grahf, wished he (and M) appears more in the beginning, spread out his motive and give more parallel to Noah. Maybe show up to power up random villains, and have an unwinnable fight or two, and I mean truly unwinnable, not getting steamrolled during the fight because your party is overleveled from all the sidequest but turns out fine in the cutscene afterward.
where do I see the requirements for hero quests?
I saw someone say it's in the menu somewhere but I can't actually seem to find it
Hero roster in the system menu
Just rescued Melia. How much longer do I have to go?
Miyabi is so cute
she needs more fanart
What level is the final boss?
I need to know if I should stop fricking around with sidequests and go beat the game.
Final boss is 75. The strongest superboss is 120.
>this game has walking segments
What is this? The Xenoblade of Us?
>Go in pre release hyped and expecting Klause lore kino
You can tell these games belong on a stronger console. It looks so nice, only to be limited to 360p resolution with vaseline...Poor devs.
Don't worry, she won't die alone.
She'll live alone. Forever.
at least she still has alcamoth
>Melia remains a cuck
>meanwhile everything’s coming up Nia
how the frick did he manage it rexchads?
This implies they had a foursome and he came in all of them at the same time. This one image is probably the craziest thing to ever be put in a AAA game.
or he did it back to back or in the span of a few days
>melia never got the cummies
JUST
he just said yes to every girl that lusted after him
Apparently curing women's depression makes them want your dick, time to get into healthcare
>he really meant it
😀
Just finished the game. My mouth hurts from laughter.
You guys got the screencaps from initial posting?
In hindsight it's pretty weird how they never brought up blades and childbirth in XC2, only confirming the possibility in the sequel. Like what becomes of the children, are they half-blades, or just humans? Are they born as flesh eaters, or some new concept entirely?
cute quest
for a second i thought sena finally found a playmate at her mental level then i realised segiri is just eating
Segiri has the same base TP as Sena so she really is just as dumb as Sena
I like it that the lucky seven is literally just a really sharp sword but I really want to know where the frick Riku got it. Lanz wanted something just a strong and Riku denied it, implying that he know he can get/make a similar weapon but they left it unexplained or just didn't want to reveal yetit's that fricking nopon archsage shenanigans again isn't it?
Lucky 7 is made up of Origin metal and Riku has a nod to Melia.
Given the fact it looks like a Monado, I wouldn't be surprised if Melia commissioned it as a tool to stop Z in the future.
>potentially godlike ancient being
>still had his heart stolen by a mortal womanpon
cute
Manana Banana is adorable as frick he's got good taste
Are we ever going to learn what it's fricking deal is?
Rex is a polygamist degenerate
Meanwhile Shulk is a chad monogamist who stayed loyal to Fiora till death as things should be
Polygamists get the rope
Brogg moment
>The Way
>Drifting Soul
>A Step Away
Which is the best vocal theme?
I'm partial to The Way.
Do the amiibo give good rewards?
>post yfw when
i was non spoiled on the 2 extra classes, when i ran into the ? post game i literally made the soiboi face
So why does Nia's hair look like Pyra's & why is her outfit styled after Mythra's?
>why does Nia have stuff from the rest of the girls in her polycule
You tell me
lifesage is giga broken
am i braindead or is royal summoner not good?
it doesnt deal anywhere near the dmg of the other dmg classes
WHY DID RIKU AND MELIA NOD AT EACH OTHER???
ARE THEY LOVERS???
he's either a descendant of Riki/Kino or some alvis-esque figure.
I wonder if they’re actually gonna add Rex and Shulk as hero characters through the DLC.
my original theory about halfway thru the game was that rex and shulk were 2 of the founders and would be DLC but after
this where they go out of the way to show you 6 specific randoms i would guess this will be the dlc as well
Why is Fiona so adorable? I went into Mu thinking it would be cringe, ended up fricking tearing up wtf
playing the six founders would be dull, its the exact same setup as the main game except
>we know exactly where its going and the climax will just be "they founded the city"
>4 of the party members just came from an older city
>no new revelations to be had except for the 7th founder who could easily be revealed in a sequel anyway
So is Mio supposed to be Nia’s kid or descendent or something?
It's hinted at that she's her daughter, but not confirmed.
they show that pic of Rex with his children for a reason, so we know their souls were also somewhere around Origin and thus were part of Aionios' cycle of death and rebirth
Mio most likely has the soul of Nia's child, since Nia talks about how she was always looking for her and really wanted to talk with her, but refuses to say anything more than that
now the question is if the same happened to Pyra's and Mythra's kids
now the question is if the same happened to Pyra's and Mythra's kids
My guess is on Ethel and Cammuravi
If Pyra's kid is a character in the game it's almost definitely Cammuravi. Mythra's kid being Ethel makes some sense but the hair color doesn't match so who knows.
a fun theory is Ethel being Shulk and Fiora’s kid or at least grandkid, with how Ethel’s fighting style is a direct parallel to mecha Fiora’s. Also Noah treating her as a bigsis figure. The hair colour doesnt really match the parents but still
Or Ashera being Reyn and Sharla’s kid and learnt her fighting style and manner of speech from emulating uncle Dunban
>inb4 the 2 families of Shulk and Rex get 2 pairs married between them. Noah Mio, Ethel Carmuravi
>toward the middle part of ch4 hard
>boss battle boils down to manualling an Agnisian healer and spamming chain attack again
kinda sad it fell into the same trapping again, even tho building team and dealing with chain attack rng are still fun. Honestly miss B, dude actually encouraged character swapping and heal controlling
>interlinking shares buffs between characters
>Signifer can abuse this to borrow unobtainable buffs like Awakening and Invincible and spread them to the whole team
Nopon stack
The worlds weren't able to properly merge at that point. Aionios is a simulation that Z created and put into stasis.
Once Moebius was destroyed, the stasis was removed, and Aionios as it was stopped existing, leading to the worlds separating.
To be honest, I kinda want the DLC story to be a crossover where you play as the parties of all three games.
what you guys think are the best classes?
incursor has to be the most broken, right?
sword fighter / fencer close runner up
lifesage/signifer best healers
heavy guard best block, zephyr best dodge tanks
ive been running
triple incursor
heavy guard
lifesage
signifier
ashera joining as off tank and for her busted chain attack / heroic chain
Soulhacker is fricking silly once you pick up the good arts. You can deal so much damage that it's pretty much impossible for tanks to keep aggro, and then massively profit off of your own impending death with Underworld Rage. Even if you don't want to go pure DPS it's got some great utility options too.
i have been grabbing all the skills, but havent messed with it yet, its alot of shit to read thru
are the soulhacker tanks/healers also really good?
i dont see anything being better than lifesage but i could see a tank being replaced
Tank is good. Though the fact that SH is the best attacker in the game it's kind of pointless to make one a healer at that point.
to be fair a team of 6 soul hackers with different roles sounds funny
It has some interesting options and you can make a viable tank out of it, but I couldn’t make a particularly good healer even with every tool it has.
I found out Soulhacker was silly when I used Smash during a Chain Attack and the UM went from 70% hp to OVERKILLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! in an instant.
theres a bunch more niche combo like
>war medic with the accessory that 100% refill your art when you revive an ally + as many defensive item/skill you can fit on
War medic can heal an ally to almost 100% upon revival, throw out a field and extra heal/debuffs from overfall/no love lost, then scoot off to revive another. rinse and repeat. it opens a viable 1-2 healers only for superbosses
>fiona hero quest
>objective: help out 5 people
>when you accept the quest, the very first objective marker you see that is right next to you is actually the 'give up?' option
>'yes' is the default answer which you will pick if you just mash the a button
>that battle theme when I fight N
god DAMN
This game made me appreciate Xenoblade 2 a lot more.
I’m kinda glad the Noah and Mio are the only explicitly romantic pair out of the main party
If anything this game makes XC2 harder to go back too for me
Sure but Eunie man... don't flirt with Taion only to friendzone him later.
I don't think Eunie friendzoned him.
Taion is clearly into Nimue and Eunie even teases him about it in his ascention quest.
They're friends.
Don't know how that can happen when XC2 is the better game in all aspects except sappy romances.
Nuh-uh.
>and except protagonist
>and except story
>and except characters
>and except writing
>and except quests
>and except main villain
Yeah, keep dreaming. Okay you're right about the quests.
>Mythra waking up in Rex's bed is peak writing
>final boss is a malos rematch out of nowhere
2 has all of the lowest points of the series
so whats postgame?
need to hunt the big 5 end games guys
the 2 new classes
are there any specific post game quests? because i think i max autism the game and did every quest b4 the final boss
Did you do all the hero and ascension quests?
There's Nia and Melia's quests too.
Outside the superbosses that's it for post game.
yeah did all hero quests and every place is 5 star except agnes castle
i cant be the only one who thinks Crys was Klaus right? he even hints to Noah about the consequences of his future actions like how he fricked up everything himself before
Is there any use for Origin shards after you've upgraded everyone's weapons?
nope, maybe in dlc with nopon sage
Did 1 have the best UI?
You did find them all without a guide, right?
Why can't they turn it into Lucky Seven
I mean, you can unsheathe Lucky Seven anyways.
Nope, too lazy
I looked up the last one which saved me a lot of time because it was the prison one.
Wait a second
Why we need to find seven hammer if only six works?
Samon is a son of a mother's nopon
>I'm the ideas guy
>Healers went from being a meme to outright mandatory if not outright broken
my stupid horrible dlc idea that i know wont happen is it to be where you play in the future of 1 and 2 after their worlds find a way to communicate and travel between each other.
>Consuls shit on FromSoft writing
BASED
Hot damn, that's edgy easy on the misery porn Takahackshi...
I don't want another prequel story dlc.
Nothing really mattered in Torna since it had all already happened.
>Ethel and Camuravi's quest is just to go shove the e-girl in the age-o-matic.
What did they mean by this?
He doesn't want fricking dicky, he wants glorious fat, thick and delicious. He barely has a character but at least he has good taste.
Honestly the whole Omega Colony is basically "Oh shit, we create those hero class without talking with writing team first."
How much in this game is Missable? I know 1 had a chunk of missable quests, and in 2 everything in Indol
I think there are missable quests right before you get Ouroborosd in Colony 9. And they are pretty minor.
Consuls are people that one way or another chose to become Moebius or were forced to by Z in Crys's case.
Other than that, everything can be done.
Effectively nothing. There's even a story boss you can skip if you haven't done a side quest where they appear.
What are consuls exactly? How did they come to exist?
So these are the guys behind Xenosaga right? What is this "perfect works" I keep hearing about?
Perfect Works, simply put, was a massive lore compendium for Xenogears. It outlined Takahashi's whole vision for Xenogears, as the Xenogears we played was actually Episode 5 in his tale.
Perfect Works is brought up a lot nowadays because there are many references to it in the newer games, and 3 especially deals with the idea of what would happen if God/Zohar/The Conduit leaves?
So the heroes are just "complete side quests to unlock them" correct?
>Xenogears we played
PS1 right? what were the other 4 episodes then? Anywhere can I read this?
There were 6 episodes. Episode 5 was the Xenogears that was released on the PS1.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/29956195@N08/sets/72157616593453778/
The most important part and the one that's relevant to 3 is Episode 6, which deals with the idea of God leaving, as I said before.
Adding onto this, Takahashi has tried to make this story in some way shape or form multiple times, first with Saga, then with Blade.
Most of them are optional, but some like Riku & Manana are unlocked during the main quest.
Yeah but I want to obtain as many of them as possible
I'm hoping he can do it with Blade, since it's now one of Nintendos best selling game series. Thank you Rainfall
Takahashi is gonna spend the rest of his life slowly making his Perfect Works and ensuring he doesn't sperg out and go too hard like with Saga.
Toridamono will save the next xeno series
Keves>Agnus
Their colonies were more fun and/or interesting, agnus was nearly the same except Mu which kinda blew it with its reveal. Should have been her ascension quest that the girl she thought was her friend and ally and YOU the player got to know was anything but that.
it’s weird how the three colonies that are hostile to the party after liberation (in varying degrees) are all keves. you would have thought that there would be more jeremys and kites around the place
to be fair on the Agnisian side
>a colony full of new recruit wide eyed to the world (Teach)
>a depressed colony (Juniper)
>a “frick the outside world we have the greatest defense” colony (Isurd)
only Alexandria’s is try-harding. Its kind of a wonder that Kevesi havent wiped the Agnisian side out alr
The war is rigged so no side can win and no side can lose, also the Consuls of Tau and Mu were directly responsible for the states of their colonies.
They mention that Agnians are physically stronger (Keves needs power frames) and their technology is more advanced (their mechs can levitate).
LEAVE IT TA EUNIE
It's funny how pissed the group got at the consuls for killing Ethel when they were going to kill themselves no matter what.
2's cast was trash.
They're pissed at the Consuls for essentially blackmailing Ethel and Cammuravi into fighting them, then laughing at their decision to duel to the death.
If the party can steamroll Colony Mu in powerlevels how hard would Shulk & co/Rex/Cross would destroy them?
I'm in my replay, in the start of Chapter 3, and decided to unlock Flash Fencer for everyone before opening the way to Ribbi Flats. Nice to have that done and not be so overleveled, it'll balance out if I don't overkill the first set of Hero Quest optional bosses.
I don’t even hate 2 but there’s a lot of shit that brings that game down mechanically that stops me from enjoying it, not to mention the first few chapters are a slog. And the humor misses more than it hits.
Still liked the cast though and the story was good once it actually got going
Which hero did you bring to the final fight?
For me it was Fiona
Always Nopon. They should have gotten an oroboros form
Ashera but then she didn't really do anything and I needed healing so I brought Fiona and controlled healer Noah and then proceeded to take a steaming shit on it all instead...
Riku and Manama. It just makes sense, them being with us for the whole game
Uh, Noahbros?
It's fine since he basically dies almost immediately after.
he is the defender he has to act like a jerk to take all the aggro
Does hard mode affect how much class points/soul points/exp you get, or is it all how hard the combat itself is?
Why was Zanza in XBC2?
easy/normal/hard have the same exp/sp/cp
All the scenes with Nia trying her hardest to blow any semblance of being regal while everyone else is too busy gushing over "her majesty" was funny.
Does she ever drop it? I miss chav nia
Yes
That's a brog, Luigi.
Do maps still auto-fill in if you find all named locations? Eryth Sea is triggering my autism with it's disgusting fog of war and awful boat controls.
Yes but you can't go to the last location in Erythia Sea until postgame.
>No Poppi QT PI in Saito's XB3 style.
Feels bad.
She do be smol doe
I want to explore her Ribbi Flats
based
>one term younger than Alexandria
Fricking hell. How the frick is Alex that developed?
I spent 30+ hours doing everything I could before progressing and losing out on M's outfit...
Why couldn't they make N and M ng+ or post game clothes.
Just beat Ethel and Cammuravi they looked so happy fighting each other. That I found that scene actually pretty cute. Ethel saying his name so damn passionately was something else.
Fricking fightsexuals...
They clearly want to frick, but because they never learnt how babies are made, their idea of sex is a giant robot duel to the death.
So they had sex in front of everyone? Everyone was watching
Basically.
Their mechs literally are left in an embrace
New Kos-Mos just dropped bros what do we think
Kos/Mos
>Soulhacker can do the entire Burst combo by itself
>but it can't do Smash because all of the parts of it are diamond Arts
When is the dlc going to be released? Also qrd on challenge since I completely skipped it in XC2.
>Mfw the "Jin on the battleship" fight of XC3 DLC will be "N genociding City"
Here's the thing. So when XC2's expansion pass was announced in November 2019, they teased Torna (picrel).
The teaser pic for this expansion pass is the swords of Shulk, Rex, and Noah. So it's looking like an Epilogue DLC.
I'm wary of starting ng+ early just in case they do something like they did with XB2.
I forgot Xenoblade 2's NG+ stuff wasn't added until later
They added a shitton of stuff in minor updates.
>forgot Xenoblade 2's NG+ stuff wasn't added until later
What do you mean? It didn't have a ng+l
looks like i'll be coming back to this game in a year and a half then.
>one year for new scenario
eh...can't they just make it 6 month?
Dec 31 is a placeholder date.
I am very sure that it'll release earlier.
>Dec 31 is a placeholder date.
i want to believe
If it's anything like Torna, it'll probably be around 15 hours minimum of new content. These things take time anon.
they're just playing it safe with the dates, since they're selling you something that doesn't even exist yet, so failing to deliver on time would put them in a bad spot
booty?
U want sum of me Kevesi bum innit
Damn, that looks clean. How well are emulators running it now?
Runs pretty well, with the 60FPS mod and my 6 year old GTX 1080 I average ~50FPS in wide open areas, smaller maps are usually locked 60
Almost no graphics issues now besides missing particles/motes, apparently the main gfx dev for the emus isn't that interested in XC so dunno if that'll get fixed any time soon tho
Best thing about emulating the game is you can patch out the piss filter
God damnit senabros
>mfw pairing up a long animation art with another that has evade effect
This is dumb that I love it
Gale Slash + Wide Slash fusion is hilarious
It's amazing with the FMJ aggro removal art.
Why is Mio the one to speak up in every sidequest past the first couple chapters? I thought she was on the clock.
>that final boss
At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, that was probably one of the coolest final battle setpieces I've ever seen in a JRPG. The environmental effects in the theater, each character breaking free from their shackles and getting a free chain attack, X and Y showing up in phase 2, the giant heads made of pure moebius energy, Melia and Nia piloting the castle mechs, all the heroes showing up to help... it was all so fricking kino bros.
Too bad Z's answer to "how do you know that the world will end if time starts moving again?" was "IT-IT JUST WILL OKAY"
Well Z wasn't any better. Hence the.
>Well how do you know it won't work you doomBlack person?
Ah I'm getting tired and probably misread your post. Nevermind.
You're talking about him like he's an actual person with the ability to think rationally. He's literally the manifestation of everyone's fear of the dimensions colliding, and I think that if you looked up and saw a planet hurtling toward you you'd be convinced the world was gonna end too.
For those who got the artbook is there any art of the moebius forms of those who never transformed, like F and C?
It's weird how few Defender classes there are.
Especially when two of them are the dull Zeon and Monica classes.
Monica's class is fun, though. I was able to set up a full smash combo on a single character using that class.
Remove all aggro pulls for raw survivability skills, equip a memory locket and revive gems, and win every fight by default because you cannot lose if you cannot party wipe.
>zeon best healer
>locket revive gems
explain?
Memory Locket lets non-healers revive people. Revive gems let you revive people at nearly double the speed with over half of their health instead of reviving them in critical range. This means the Zeonhealer can bring your actual tank from 0hp to 4000hp in about half a second, and the same with everyone else. Also, because it never pulls aggro and has some of the best defenses in the game, it shrugs off lethal party-wipe AoEs and then has time to pick up the entire team while tanking the enemy.
huh, thats interesting the 7th person isnt super necessary where late game all your doing is just spamming chain attacks into each other
>7 rounds of Chain Attack will be possible with Lv 81+ Fiona
isn't that possible from the moment you get her though? her order effect doesn't scale with levels, does it?
>Fiona's bonus has an "Increased Chain Gauge" effect, in which it increases the chain gauge by level 80 or lower will increase the Chain Gauge by 1 time, while level 81 or higher will increase by 2 times
from gamewith tho
is the 7 rounds REALLY any better than Ashera's free amazing first round and increased damage ratio + power charge?
no, even more so because that's only possible if fiona is offered at your third round
it's just that fiona is probably the most useful hero in the late game
Eunie somehow pulls off the Yunsmith constume
that wig is just too much for me, although Taion wearing Manana's costume might actually be worse
I didn't want to change costumes for my first playthrough but classes like Yumsmith forced me to...
HOW THE FRICK DO I GET VALDI'S ASCENSION QUEST
I CAN'T UNLOCK THE 5TH LEVEL OF THE STUPID ROBOT
You need to do Alexandria's ascension quest first.
I was able to do Valdi's ascension quest before Alexandria's.
Where do I get metallothane jelly?
Can someone tell me how to install theboy181's mods? I put all the folders as shown in the picture but none of them work. They all have the same folder (exefs) and the same filename (1.1.0.pchtxt). Which means I actually don't know what I'm doing.
Put them 1 folder up, like so
Yeah I just realized it was supposed to be that way.
Did..... did Mio inherit a pure body or was M deflowered...
Doesnt matter, the two had sex.
It doesn't matter because it was Noah who would have deflowered it in the first place, it's all the same person
Baffling that Nintendo is too scared to make Nintendo Kart when this exists.
Was the Fog King, black fog and annihilation events ever explained?
Black fog is a weak spot in Aionios' dimensional fabric caused by friction between the two worlds. If this friction becomes to great then it results in an annihilation event, basically a miniature version what would've happened if the two worlds had collided to begin with.
The fog king is an enemy from XB2 that crossed the dimensional rift.
Nope. Japs are lazy c**ts.
You didn't explained shit. dude.
Still in awe they went with it,
Rex deserved it in the end, especially after having to play through the game twice.
You're frickin correct
God damn chapter 5 hit me like a ton of bricks. No wonder people talk about it.
How the frick have you homies already beat 3? It's like 150+ hours long.
Emulated or rushed the main quest like a bunch of losers.
took a week off work and its been like 2 weeks since official release date, 3 since its leaked
80 hours, got all the heroes, did a bumch of side quests getting 3 and 4 affinity in most colonies.
I beat normal and cleared every ascension quest in 120 hours without overleveling with bonus exp
I played a ton after coming home from work every day. Finally finished it today.
100% the game seems to take around 200 hours, much lower than past games which is fine, they had too much bloat.
Xenoblade 1 really only take like 100 hours to 100% especially in DE
i have no life and work from home
also can you grind gold nopon coins anywhere? farming for some of the rank 10 gems is going to be a huge pain in the ass otherwise
and forgot pic
open menu
>also can you grind gold nopon coins anywhere? farming for some of the rank 10 gems is going to be a huge pain in the ass otherwise
don't think so
but to be honest, farming SOME rank X gems is a pain. For most of them you can burst an UM over and over again and get everything you need from it in less than 10 minutes. It's only a few specific drops like auxilia hex armors and krabble drops that are hell
fffuuucckk i know you get a gold coin the first time for a unique, so i guess you cant farm coins that way, dammit
WHAT ARE THE PERQUISITES FOR ISURDS FRICKING ASCENSION QUEST
WHAT'S THE FRICKING QUESTLINE
Finally finished 3 so I can come back here now.
The final boss was cool but HOLY FRICK it was way too long.
The game was cool. I liked it more than 2; not sure if I like it more than 1 or not. It does have probably my favorite part in the series though.
Also, about the ending. Did little Noah just disappear into thin air at the end there?
I didn't notice the first time because I instantly lost track of him in the crowd, but looking back he seems to do that.
>Magic hair changing option - OK
>Mio slipping into M's outfit in order to feel the snuggness of the body suit - Not allowed.
Why...
Pay up prostitute
Also on a side note it doesn't really fit with her story wise. Much better to have her normal outfit honestly.
Just finished the game last night and the entire final boss experience was pure ludo (albeit disgustingly fricking long and thank god I did it in one go)
>oh shit no chain attacks and interlinks
>everyone says their lines, breaks the shackles and goes ham
>agnus and keves fighting together as one
>Z as a big bobble head of moebius energy
>the castles transformed into giant mechs
>the fricking guitar kicks in and starts shredding https://youtu.be/qDosQa0dmr8?t=97

>nia also has the aegis swords
Goddamn bros I was creamin'
>the party gets divided
>the heroes join the fight
>massive 10 men brawl breaks out
kino
Why does Teach have a core crystal on his face?
Like Amalthus
Agnians are said to be stronger than Kevesi, Sena says they all have core crystals. So they're all Blade Eaters or Blades.
>nia has the aegis swords
the frick? i missed that anyone have a pic
i laughed really hard when melia had the monado still tho, poor melia
anon, load your finished save and go back to cloudkeep/keves castle
i have lifesage? are they just in the castle thats cool if so
i wish poppy would hand around there
All that Aegis shit in that outfit
He must like them matching
wow didnt even notice, just assumed they were energy swords, very cool detail
They're easy to miss because they aren't the actual swords. Just energy projections in the shape of the swords
>download cheat table
>infinite nopon coins
>suddenly 50+ hours of busywork removed from the game
Thank you very much.
x
Sorry, but the combat/level design/OST was clearly better in XC2. Some of the anons here are just in the honeymoon phase.
This is the best song in the game and it's a remix from XC2 lol
The combat and level design is far better in 3 and it's not even close.
Played 1, X, and 2 but haven’t looked into 3 yet. Is it true that the homosexual blue Rex-wannabe Nopon is a major character? He seems so fricking cringey it almost makes me not want to get the game if he’s that important to the series, and Riki was one of my favorites.
Riku is the single most based male character in this game
How is he based? From everything I’ve seen he’s just a “le badass” nopon with Rex’s hair, can you elaborate?
riku is riku
wow what a cool nopon bro he’s like serious and stuff dang how crazy
i'm glad you understand 🙂
play the game and decide for yourself
this blue rex clone’s character and my lack of knowledge of him is literally one of the only things stopping me from spending $60 on the game, I despised Rex that much.
He's great in jp but the cringedub rapea his character
good thing I’ve been playing subbed since 2, I remember the dub for 2 was atrocious since they hired people off the street and didn’t give them context for any of the lines. is 3’s any better?
English Eunie and Mio make the dub far superior
i usually dont care if people like sub/dub
but for xeno games the dub is absolutely atrocious, not just because the voice actor caliber is clearly not as good, not only because the accents are bad, but because the voices and inflection the actors use are sometimes so off from what the character's personality is supposed to be
i know in 2 the cast didnt even get full scripts so they were just reading random lines, and you can tell
its awful and if you actually like the dub i think you have brain damage
You're trolling right? If not, just have a nice day you tasteless xenophobe.
>hating Riku's dub voice
>Haha deep meme voice on an already mistranslated race made to speak like morons and missing the -mo s
Dub nopons are a crime
Dubs are generally a crime.
Oh, again that moron thinking that only 1 person know why dubs are ALWAYS a moronic idea.
There is only one person who types like you do dude.
literally my first post here today.
xenophobic moronic localization shit for moronic dubBlack folk. Simple.
>is a major character?
I mean, he is part of the main cast. But as a nopon hater, I found him completely inoffensive. He's just a very good mechanic that gets shit done and gives advice when needed. He doesn't actually act like rex or anything.
He’s more like “background-ish” like Riki? I just got worried when I saw some posts acting like he was super important to the series when he’s literally just a nopon with angry Kirby eyes and Rex’s hair.
what's the best gem to get with the 99 gold coins?
auto attack interval
not cancel damage or the double attack one?
nope damage cancel is good, but attacking more is useful for every class even healer/tank and helps you churn out chain attacks faster which is the most important thing post game
Is 3’s combat just more of 2’s “wiggle control stick left and right to autoattack cancel” and nothing else? Cause that boring real fast.
no, they "fixed" that in XC3.
Awesome, bit worried by what “fixed” means but anything is better than a combat system revolving around autoattack cancelling.
fixed as in if you try it you quickly realize it's worse than just doing it the intended way
good, wiggling the joystick to make rex have a seizure was the ugliest game decision in the series. ruined the point of any of the models or animations
It ruined the animations I agree but frick is the combat in this game extremely slow especially early to mid game
this, i tried to tinker with multiple classes and theres no discernible differences, positioning and field arts are very important so auto cancelling into and out of arts with the R stick dash to move quickly around when you need to still gives you something to do besides just watching yourself auto
once you get lategame and more classes youre not standing still alot anyway
Short answer: no
Moving doesnt reset the autoattack timer any more, but the game is a lot more focused on movement and positioning in general.
I kind of like the mercenary system where you send blades out on missions though, does something like that return?
no but the cast is very customizable as this anon shows
you can make all kinds of wacky builds to turbo cheese stuff
whats the point of having to learn all classes with all characters? Why if i complete a world event it appears again?? what does the fog do? Game is easy af too
There's a hard mode, use it
I love Saito's XB3 style so much.
What do I do now? I heard leveling through bonus xp over levels you and makes it harder to rank up classes. So I've almost completely avoided that. But I can barely do any quests cause they're all higher lvls than I'm currently at
what level? what chapter? what classes do you have?
20, 3, barely have Ethel's class. I just got to the part where you can leave colony 4
you still dont have alot of class options atm, id make sure you get fencer for everyone before you move on, but focus on doing just the main story for a bit and get more classes, the later classes give you alot more power and variety, just doing the main story doesnt lock you out of any quest at any time
HOW TO BECOME INVINCIBLE
requirements:
troubador, unlimited sword talent art for noah, signifer
>Give Noah the capable hands skill and also mio
>make mio a signifer with the troubador talent art
>unzip katana on noah
>interlink to pass invincibility buff to mio
>cancel interlink
>resonant flag on mio
>talent art on mio
>have at least one other signifer with this talent art as well to maintain uptime
>you now have 100% invincibility buff with full uptime the entire fight
>only one defender needed to keep starting aggro and not die
>depending on the boss, dont even need a defender
there are so many buff interactions that I don't think the devs thought through very well
I expect the invincibility cheese to actually get patched because funny enough, there is no downside like lower damage in return for survivability and this strat alone would make the entirety of the challenge area a joke
What's the deal with japs and word "aegis" in their games?
Aegis was a dub name, the original name is “Holy Grail.” 2’s dub changed nearly
everything.
I don't talk about Xeno games specifically, japs in general. They love use aegis word in their jrpgs.
Which is why the "Aegis" in Torna DLC is a giant golden cup.
Finally there's a big progress with unburger patch!
It's holy grail. moronic dub shit changed it to aegis.
I still cannot fathom why of anything in the fricking game they decided to change NAMES in 2 and 3 for absolutely no goddamn reason.
It's literally ONLY the Japanese names too.
>Unburger
Godspeed re-translating literally all of the nopon dialogue in the game
Not just nopon dialogue. They made up most unvoiced scenes. Voiced ones are butchered too.
There are things like one nopon is calling someone fat and it's censored in western version for example. Because you know, you can't call someone fat in burgerland.
imagine sharting yourself so hard over localization you make a patch like this instead of just playing the game in japanese
why are weebs like this?
>why are weebs like this?
Imagine being that fricking moronic and ignorant that you're fricking defending garbage meme localization and insult people that spent many days on hacking game files for people that want to enjoy this game without cringe. have a nice day you fricking moron.
go play the game in japanese if you're so butthurt about the localization
oh wait, you can't, because you're such a loser you can't even understand the language you fellate so hard lmao
as you post a one piece picture
nice
>can't even refute what I said, only seethe in impotent rage because he knows I'm right
love to see it
I'd rather listen to well acted scenes that I can't understand what they're saying without the ruined localization than here nias ugly voice go ready or gormotti
>go play the game in japanese if you're so butthurt about the localization
>Characters shift into Interlink unwarranted and cause massive issues with survivability
>Learn you can't turn off AI Interlink until the end of CH3
I really fricking hate the mechanic creeping in this game. Among all the other issues with the AI and how uncontrollable it can feel, that is just another issue on top.
>dub Ghondor is literally taken straight from the Boondocks
fricking hell
>the weeb that seethes about dub is back
lmao
imagine being butthurt because people enjoy XC's english dub more than the generic jp dub
i like alot of dub stuff, xenoblade dub is atrocious, like most dubs NoA gets their hands on, most dubs are fine to just as good as the subs
this game is not one of those
NoE was in charge of localization. And the only game with a bad localization was 2, and even then that's mostly because of how rushed it was since they had strict deadlines. But 1's and 3's english dubs are great, and you're missing out by not using them.
1 i can stomach but stiill not a fan, 3 just ruins so many charactters its criminal, Alexandria being one of them
also why does fricking nintendo change their names, what was wrong with Nina?
why do you feel offended when someone comments on the dub?
No one is feeling offended. This is a schizo that appears randomly to sperg out about his seething hatred for dubs to absolutely no one but himself.
Let me rephrase that then. Why do you feel bothered when someone comments on the dub?
Because I want to talk about actual game and actual characters and their original personalities, not rewritten and altered meme dub garbage that has nothing to do with this game. Is it that hard to understand?
then why don't you go discuss it in japanese boards instead, where you will be able to talk about your pristine script and immaculate voice acting, since you're fluent in japanese, right? you don't seethe and mald over people using the english dub just to be an EOP yourself, right?
How could you take the story which is an important part of Xeno games seriously when the dub is objectively bad? I'll always refer to the hilarious example of when jin and malos killed rex. And instead of acting shocked like you're supposed to after witnessing a murder you had no idea was coming, nia asks why they did that as if she just saw them bully the kid instead. It was pathetic. I don't care if Welsh accents are unique among dubs if the actual acting isn't worth shit
I can't stop fapping to Mio
Was anyone else surprised how big her breasts are and how much they jiggle?
Names are finally fixed. No more made up dubshit.
Keikaku means plan.
I thought it was weird how they renamed him "Teach" in the dub when Shido sounds like a perfectly normal name, but then it made more sense when it was revealed to not be his real name.
Xenoblade 2 names were all normal Japanese names and they made up them too.
>Dude names himself the Japanese word for guiding/counseling/teaching.
>To anyone that is not Japanese including the moron I'm replying to this meaning is completely lost on them.
Teach is a fine localization choice.
Well you see, Shido is also a normal Japanese name while "Teach" isn't a name.
>Teach isn't a name.
Tell that to this guy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackbeard
Teach is short for teacher. In french, he is called master.
Nobody used the term "teach" since the 90's
Trust the keikaku, my nakama.
have a nice day localization apologist.
Is it necessary to have Mio's ass outlined in her clothes???
Cringe, kys
Very necessary
>Cringe, kys
have a nice day dub brainlet.
>Is it necessary to have Mio's ass outlined in her clothes???
sasuga dub brainlet
You will literally never be, not accepted by, the Japanese
You literally should have a nice day. I told you this already many times.
I don't listen to inferior beings.
>dubgay
>calling someone an inferior being
topkek
>go play the game in japanese if you're so butthurt about the localization
another drone reply, as expected
Did you know that Hero selection quotes change in Chapter 7?
>"The endgame approaches..."
There is a shitton of random dialogue from heroes, even just taking them to other colonies
I love when Ethel comments on how delicious Armu steak is when you visit Mu's Armu farm. Pure fricking autism.
dumb frog poster
how fricking tragic is that a noah and mio decided to have a child knowing they'd be gone before it's a teen
Kid probably wasnt even 5
>fans are making a patch for not morons
>morons are insulting people who have at least some common sense and taste
Like clockwork.
If your posts derail and inflame threads then chances are YOU'RE the problem.
A couple spammers, ignore em.
is the dub posting the new discord guys troll posts? he tried with troony stuff then censored meme
has he given up and moved on to this?
yeah, you can notice by how hard he tries to make himself look like a moron, that he's the same guy who spammed about the game being censored, then about the game's sales, then about how everyone HATED xenoblade 3, and now about the english dub
figured, he types the same way, mass replying to everyone while just flaming every post he can
hes almost as bad as the FF15 autist
>and now about the english dub
Overwhelming majority of people outside US hates on ANY dubs. Like, imagine watching burger movie dubbed in my native language. Or playing Polish game dubbed in other language.
People that are using the dubs are literally kids or people with ultra low IQ. No matter what you say, this is the main target audience for dubs. Always.
Finally I can play without cringing when hearing original names and reading something completely made up.
>Dude everyone hates dubs
>meanwhile dubs in games and anime are being produced more then any other time in history
Funny how everyone hates them yet they continue to sell, innit?
Any poll on literally any anime site is showing that 80-90% people are using original audio. Cope more.
And you're still talking about US.
Yeah thats why they keep making them and pissing away money on the cost of producing it right?
Better to have money of these 20% morons than not have I guess?
Would Xenoblade have been more popular without the dub and Adam Howden ?
no, english XC1 is unironically the superior version
imagine hearing this godtier voice acting and thinking "hmmmm, it would be better if a japanese woman with a squeaky voice voiced the teenager main character, and with a 60+ yo granny voicing the grown ass man", because that's what weebs consider good voice acting
>dub better than original made by original creators that created these characters
This meme was never funny.
>DUDE THE STAR WARS PREQUELS ARE THE BEST BECAUSE IT WAS MADE BY THE ORGINAL CREATOR THAT MEANS THE ORGINAL TRILOGY AND ANYTHING ELSE STAR WARS RELATED IS SHIT
>glorious nipponese voice actors folded over 1000 times that were also handpicked by takahashi
weebs crack me up
