DEmaster is probably one of the worst remakes I ever seen. Literally everything went wrong here, from graphics being way worst to more and more casualization features. It and XB2 boded ill for the future of the Xeno series -- and 3 is looking to be the culmination of all that shittiness.
For any folks who want to get into the Xeno series: >Play Gears, Saga 1, and Saga 3, skip Saga 2 >Play Blade 1 (Original) and Blade X. Avoid Blade 1 DE(make), Blade 2 and Blade 3 at all costs.

Play the Wii version or emulate it on Dolphin with HD textures.
Avoid DE, XB2 and XB3 at any cost. Seriously.
Switch has the updated quest tracking and the ability to control your level. There’s also a challenge mode if you like that.
