Shit music, worst world design.
The scale of the game is all off, because if you're on foot (and outside LA) the world is too large and everything is spaced too far. But if you're in a mech, the world is suddenly too small. This goes double if you've got the flying module.
Then there's the mission structure, which is tied to doing seemingly random sub-quests, and resource collection limits. This is a terrible way to gatekeep progress in a game. The other Xenoblades did a much better job or charting progression.
Lastly, anyone with more than one brain cell knows why Sawano was never invited back to the party. UH. YEAH.
Seriously, why do people pretend to hate the soundtrack? This is why corpos keep things bland on purpose, cause audiences b***h if you try anything even remotely unconventional.
Because some themes like the normal battle theme and one from the city I don't remember are honestly shit. I know it has bangers too, but you hear them less.
Early game combat feels a bit monotonous, just standing there waiting for the enemy to die and using your arts every once in a while, sure soul voices make using those arts more satisfying but for me, the real game begins when you unlock overdrive.
Hearing that song really pumps me up and don't let me get started on infinite overdrive builds...
Oh, it will be ported. As the final Nintendo Switch game before the Switch dies for the Switch successor which isn't backwards compatible, causing it to skyrocket in price much like how Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn and Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey did.
>the Switch successor which isn't backwards compatible
akchually it only needs a simple compatibility patch since the architectures are pretty much identical
first party software is guaranteed to get them to bring in the old library, as an incentive to upgrade hardware even if you don't like the launch titles
Oh, I was just speaking hypothetically. If the Switch 2 could be backwards compatible, that would be great. But I could also see Nintendo israeliteing it up again and make you repurchase Switch games on the new console because of course that's what they'd do.
I really don't know where this pessimism comes from. Every single time BC was possible (no different medium or architecture) Nintendo went for it. They've been including BC decades before Sony and MS did.
They even went so far with BC on Wii U it actively hindered the system.
The more israeli thing for Nintendo to do is to make it harder and harder for people to leave their ecosystem - which would mean more digital downloads (more profitable for Nintendo) and NSO subscriptions.
That won't happen when people find out all their games just disappeared
How do you know BC will be possible now? We don't know about the media format of switch 2

That doesn't count, that's like considering 3ds/N3ds as totally separate systems

Unlike the 3DS to N3DS, there were a lot of GBC only games. Seems weird to say it didn't count.

GBC is officially considered a revision, not a new system. It has more exclusive titles but the concept is similar to 3ds/n3ds
my favorite part of the game is doing side missions that give cute clothes to dress my loose mc in. too bad they're shutting down the servers because a lot of the fetch quest missions I was able to complete by trading items etc. Some of these items have a 1% drop so I'm not looking forward to any other playthroughs unless I just deal with it or miss out on those optional quests
to me, this game is like dragon's dogma in that if it was give a full remake/sequel in which it could be lavished with care like it deserves, it would become one of the best games of all time. at least DD2 is being made, but xenoblade x might just remain a relic of the past
black tar is great because the lyrics are fun to sing along to while the song beneath them is actually good. if I were to redo it, I'd just make it a little less engrish and get a guy who can actually speak the language.
also, the themes for each continent were awesome, so you can't complain about the OST as a whole
Frick me, it's nigh impossible to get anyone to talk about this fricking game.
Sorry anon.
If you want to talk about X you kind of have to do it inside an already existing Xenoblade thread.
It was on Wii U, it was destined for failure.

For one, the tracks aren't even properly looped. Another, that shitty flying track shits up area themes hardcore.
Half the tracks are throwaway songs that would be an insult if they were included in the numbered games.
All wrong, you were filtered by kino
There's nothing to talk about, once you explore the game fully that's that

You can actually improve early game significantly by not being afraid to spend points on upgrading your skills, the CD reduces by quite a lot.
Best Xenoblade game, best open world game.
Lailah's the best skell, by the way.
I like the cute alien cat girls. 🙂
Agreed, but they're a pain in the ass to fight.

Bitch, why is your evasion so high?
I've always wondered if that excuse that it's impossible to port because of "Wii-U infrastructure" is bullshit or not.
PORT IT JUST PORT IT ALREADY AAAAAAAAA

As long as they change the battle theme for something actually good, I'm down.
>HURR DURR WE CUM FROM; DIFFRENT PLAANEET
can you play the game online the entire time until April?

Why wont Nintendo port it already?
