Instead of being one of many adventurers running around you are the super special chosen one. Instead of having to do some moronic jank optimization in combat, it is press 1-2-3. Dungeons are so easy a disabled person can do them and everyone knows it. The hard content is just learning choreography but it forces you to progress at the slowest person's speed to make it last longer. I'm coming back to DT because FF11 mentioned, but I don't like 14 anymore
The dungeons are only there to make the msq more fun, it's casual content. But the raiding is really fricking good.

You want AF on x8 for newer games. It shows a performance impact but almost no visual difference. x16 is for older titles.
Also why is your GPU hotspot delta so large dude? It looks like you need new thermal paste. It should be no more than 22C between hotspot and edge temp.
Aye you definitely should get on that PTM soon. It makes a massive difference on RDNA cards. The die isn't flat on upper end TSMC dies which creates hotspot issues with shitty paste, phase change material solves that problem. All 4080 and 4090 FEs ship with PTM instead of paste now for that reason.
the only paste that was able to reign in delta was kryonaut but i had to re-apply that shit ever half a year or so for ideal perf... currently on mx6, its meh, similar perf to mx5

I use syy157 paste on my 3080 and it has kept the hotspot in check while I have tried noctua nt h1/2 and mx4, gelid gc extreme and none of those have even come close to it

FSR doesn't kick in unless you have dynamic resolution on.
DLSS means you're always running worse quality than native resolution. You want DLAA but that only can be enabled with mods.
When people say "DLSS is better than native" they mean the game has TAA so bad that injecting someone else's TAA (DLSS/XESS) is better like RE Engine games.
You're objectively lowering the shadow and lighting quality by reducing your internal render. DLAA doesn't do this.
Even so that's still a pretty strong statement on their pre-order sales. Endwalker was insane at the time.
Especially considering the dead game narrative that was being pushed for awhile recently.

A little bit of Yoshi-P's hesitance might be that he cannot definitely say if it was more than EW or not until the preorders are actually over, as before that it's projections. But it sounds to me like it probably means it might be looking slightly better than EW, but not totally overshadowing it, as I think he would word it more strongly if it was obvious that the numbers were going to be massively bigger. On the other hand he'd just shut up if the numbers looked like crap.

Eh. Broadly, BLU players are about twice as moronic as your average 14 player, the soft reworks in the 70 and 80 updates have made the most interesting fights for them less interesting and more easy, but there's a charm to it and leveling is quick and easy

I'm not playing this shit, but I was curious how well it runs on Linux. I set it to maximum, but it's running on high for some reason.
In universe they are tied to the knife eared giraffes, but in FF11 universe they are tied to big blue guy race so you will sometimes see that referenced as well, such as in the benchmark
1. Malera is the credited response. Sidguru is great.
2. Maleroe look cool in armor, not worth the hassle if you are straight.
3. Lalafell is always a good option.

I'm lucky they got the new Edward Kenway Meteor hairstyle and it's going to be perfect for my tastes (no clipping), and I love everything else about them but frick me if the way they repeated the face/hair lock mistake isn't a major disappointment.

Pretty much every non-default hairstyle has blurry textures if you force the benchmark to load it. It could very well be that they're not finished yet.
Then again I could see them launching this way and some moron calling you a doomsissy and a trancer for complaining, but I find it unlikely.
Lalafell gain their powers by eating 1.X flowerpots. System upgrades in Dawntrail will allow these to finally be rendered in the digestive tract of every lalafell now.

very hard. the issue is whatever they test in demo environment will never translate to real world. people will have probably have missing items and it would be a clusterfrick to fix.
I ask myself the same question every time I open the glamour dresser. Seriously, whats wrong with them
it actually is a hard task because of how they coded the item system.
you see, every time you use an item, grab an item or move an item the system have to check with the server if that item is there, and it does a scam for ALL your inventory, char traits like face number eye color etc, every time, and when you're near people the check also compares your stuff with those around you.
so for every item in your inventory an exponential number of server checks get added.
its the reason why housing items have a limit too, like outside housing items, that shit gets checked for all chars in the zone.
when it comes to item unlocking, they would need to build up a new system just for it and figure out how to remove the load for the server checks constantly every time you walked there to use it.
also, its why they put glam dressers in instanced zones and never built a housing item for it, to reduce the server load, imagine if you could thinker with gam in limsa overworld map.
their net coding was DUMB, IS DUMB AND WILL BE DUMB for the foreseable future
shit it doesnt even work as intended to verify shit because cheaters can just spoof it anyway and mods go completely unoticed by the system.

If you saved a preset before, load it. There's also a way to transfer your character data directly over by copying a dat file from somewhere to somewhere, but I don't remember.
Right-click your character on the login screen and save the appearance. It should now appear on the benchmark character creator by ticking the "load character appearance" checkbox. If you want to make sure your character has the right hairstyle you have to move you character data manually from the folder in Documents/My Games to the benchmark folder

Aye you definitely should get on that PTM soon. It makes a massive difference on RDNA cards. The die isn't flat on upper end TSMC dies which creates hotspot issues with shitty paste, phase change material solves that problem. All 4080 and 4090 FEs ship with PTM instead of paste now for that reason.
the only paste that was able to reign in delta was kryonaut but i had to re-apply that shit ever half a year or so for ideal perf... currently on mx6, its meh, similar perf to mx5
I use syy157 paste on my 3080 and it has kept the hotspot in check while I have tried noctua nt h1/2 and mx4, gelid gc extreme and none of those have even come close to it

Switching to FSR seems to either net you a small or significant boost
FSR doesn't kick in unless you have dynamic resolution on.
DLSS means you're always running worse quality than native resolution. You want DLAA but that only can be enabled with mods.

you see, every time you use an item, grab an item or move an item the system have to check with the server if that item is there, and it does a scam for ALL your inventory, char traits like face number eye color etc, every time, and when you're near people the check also compares your stuff with those around you.
so for every item in your inventory an exponential number of server checks get added.

yes, go into the character creator, press make new char and load your characters preset appearance data

If you saved a preset before, load it. There's also a way to transfer your character data directly over by copying a dat file from somewhere to somewhere, but I don't remember.
Right-click your character on the login screen and save the appearance. It should now appear on the benchmark character creator by ticking the "load character appearance" checkbox. If you want to make sure your character has the right hairstyle you have to move you character data manually from the folder in Documents/My Games to the benchmark folder
