I want to eventually play the second and third one but I wish they kept a similar atmosphere from the first game. The first one was fun, but lonely and weird most of the time, the second and third feel more like an Addams Family game. Don't get me wrong, the Addams Family is based but just not what I was expecting for a true sequel
How is the first Luigi's Mansion anything like zoomer Zelda?

Go back and read the reply chain about how your dumbass wants the same thing for sequels yet still don't want the same thing.

Oh ok so you're just a fricking idiot that thinks atmosphere is the same as just remaking the same game over and over no wonder you're a BotW fan

I just read this entire conversation, and I've got no idea what that other guy is talking about.
I think he may have some kind of mental disability or something.

That's that lack of reading comprehension. You're big dumb.

My best guess is you're saying they make a sequel to Luigi's Mansion like TotK is to BotW, but that assumes that BotW is good. Which it isn't.
BotW is complete dogshit, and the fact that you would suggest otherwise is enough for me to discard your opinion.
Put a trip on, so I can filter you.

The point was YOU WANT THE SAME THING like TotK was to BotW but yet you don't want the same thing. Has nothing to do with the quality of the games.
You're a fricking moron.

No, nobody said that until you started sperging out. The guy said it doesn't feel like the first game, and he's right. Maybe when summer ends and you get back to your 5th grade English class you can brush up on your reading skills, lil fella.

I can taste your tears from here, kiddo. Thanks for the easy victory. You're just no match for my intellectual prowess.
The issue is that 2 and 3 push for more of a goofy comedy than something lonely like the first and that shows at every level.
Theyre enjoyable for completely different reasons than 1. Mainly because theyre a lot more cutscene heavy and use Luigi for slapstick. Which never proves to feel genuine like the ending of 1
It's not a parody of horror games. nothing about it is intentionally playing on the tropes or dynamics of horror. It's a genuine horror game but through the filter of Mario. The atmosphere and setting around it is genuinely perfect Make the monsters or ghosts more grotesque and make the protagonist someone akin to James Sunderland and you have a genuine straight faced horror game
Next game should allow you to explore an entire town the Boos are terrorizing. You have to go into different buildings with different environmental puzzles.
Mr. Luggs scared me as a kid. He made loud noises and I didn’t understand you had to wait out his fireballs so I just assumed he was invincible.
The mansion going dark also spooked me.
Frick you, I like 2 and 3.
The idea that the ghosts simply want to live (heh) and are being made to act unreasonably aggressive by King Boo's magic makes them sympathetic and King Boo more of a shit head.
Outliers are good too, Helen Gravely is pretty good where she's literally just trying to get King Boo's affection but he couldn't give any less of a shit about who she is and just wants to use her to stop Luigi at any and all costs because at this point King Boo probably hates Luigi more than Bowser does Mario.
The first game had the best tone. Luigi and the ghosts were cartoony but the actual mansion itself was realistic it made a fun contrast. The newer games fricked up and turned everything cartoony.

That's what keeps me from playing the other two. It just doesn't feel like the first game.
Would you prefer LM got the BotW/TotK treatment???
Hell no. That shit killed Zelda.
But you wanted the Luigi's Mansion sequels to be the same as the first game?
How is the first Luigi's Mansion anything like zoomer Zelda?

No, you're literally moronic.
>Nutendo defense force
What part of Luigi's Mansion is this
Why is she naked?
>killed
haven't those two games sold more than the rest of the series combined?
>le i want all sequels to be exactly like the first game!
LM3 is unironically better in terms of being a game, because it's not a tech demo.
I disagree if anything it's just a bigger and fancier tech demo
The issue is that 2 and 3 push for more of a goofy comedy than something lonely like the first and that shows at every level.
Theyre enjoyable for completely different reasons than 1. Mainly because theyre a lot more cutscene heavy and use Luigi for slapstick. Which never proves to feel genuine like the ending of 1
If we had gotten a proper LM2 and an actual Addams Family game by Nintendo that would have been sick.
Of course it wasn't but tell that to Nutendo. People just wanted but we get Danny Phantom shit instead.
There's literally ghosts right behind him and you're saying it wasn't scary?
>Spin off of the bingbing wahoo man has better atmosphere than 90% of real horror games
How did they do it? And why did the remake butcher it so bad?
Luigi's Mansion isn't meant to be a genuine horror game, it's a parody of horror games.

No but the atmosphere was kino and it showed off what the cube could do in regards to lighting and transparent models
Next game should allow you to explore an entire town the Boos are terrorizing. You have to go into different buildings with different environmental puzzles.
Luigi's Mansion 1 wasn't really supposed to be game. It was a tech demo.
>luigi's mansion thread
>botw seethe ten posts in
are you Black folk for real
Black person why the frick would you bring BotW up in a Luigi's Mansion thread like they have anything in common
Fricking morons
It wasn't scary at all and it wasn't meant to be...
>+20 years later...
>a-actually it wasn't that scary!
>i totally didn't shit myself as a kid!
I got scared by the ghosts that randomly drop from the ceiling
Deez nuts
Of course not. It was for kids.
That said, the noise of that fat frick ghost eating as you walked down yhe dark hallway did freak me out as a kid.
I'm excited for the next LM just to see what King Boo is doing this time
Remember that early 2000s motion capture movie Monster House? Yeah that
Mr. Luggs scared me as a kid. He made loud noises and I didn’t understand you had to wait out his fireballs so I just assumed he was invincible.

>all those paintings of King Boo and Helen
>all those King Boo statues
>all those King Boo merchandise
>even her door is a giant King Boo
That just makes them fricking boring
/v/
>Ganon can't be evil just because
also Ganker
>Ghosts are boring if they aren't evil just because
>inb4 Ganker is one person
No they're boring if they're not pissed off that some dude is just trespassing and sucking them up in their haunt
There is literally a ghost in LM1 that will let herself be sucked up once she has done all that she can to help Luigi. Is she boring too?
No because she's unique
Just like Helen Gravely. An outlier.
it was kino Resident Evil 1 done right
>this shit
>not scary
frick forgot image
That's not in the game though
You know what game over screen is in the game though?
This, for Luigi's Mansion 3
That ghost in the dining room still scares me. The sounds he makes are really unsettling.
noooo don't scare my dick aaaaaaaaa

the blackout section spooked me bad as a young tot
Played through this recently, Boolossus and Bowser/King Boo fight are surprisingly annoying for how easy the rest of the game is
