So you need all this extra ramp time for your aoe dps to do anything while every other class gets it on demand AND it's janky and unfun. Shadowlands truly killed wow for me and I've been a subbed blizzdrone since tbc. The legion legendaries we're actually good and interesting. These SL legendaries are dog shit ass garbage and if they're going to be recycled for Dragonlands then I am definitely skipping this expac.

The free trial only goes to level 20 which is only a few hours of content. It's trash. Shadowlands becomes free with the prepatch which is gonna come in like November if the expansion launches on time, which I doubt it will so who knows. Right now the $15 sub fee lets you go to level 50 if you don't buy shadowlands. You just can't go into the shadowlands zones or level over 50 unless you sub and buy Shadowlands.
WoW's free trial is notoriously shit, like you can hardly do anything at all levels of shit. If you want to give WoW a real shot, $20 for the game isn't bad at all, you'll get your $20 worth no problem as there's undoubtably a shitload of stuff to do.
Have you looked at the races and know what you want to make? Of the two factions, Alliance are a lot smaller and are on a few big servers while Horde are on a dozen or so big servers so there's more option. For Alliance you should go Proudmoore if you're far left and Moonguard if you want to have fun but run the risk of seeing lewd things. Horde, like I said, are much much more spread out due to there being so much more of them, so I couldn't give you a good server list, but you could find some online.
