I think these games have a tendency to fail because it makes the act of experiencing the game confusing. So the game isn't finished? They're adding new content? So I have to keep paying to see the new content whenever it drops? I just want to sit down and do a playthrough, I don't want to keep up with new "seasons" and shit. When a game is constantly morphing it just makes me not want to bother.
The game literally ends with you defeating the big boss (Brainiac), who then reveals there are 12 other versions of him from the multiverse. Presumably, these make you the intended 12 season of live service, which probably won't come out now
I can't wait for them to announce the game is shutting down. They have this multi-season roadmap planned out for like 5-6 seasons, and I can't see this thing getting to season two. They'll announce they're ending support/development for it due to lack of players/interest most likely. It's also funny because almost nobody is playing this game, at least on PC. I think it has 300-400 players at best? Doesn't seem like enough to sustain a game.
They kept working on that Avengers game well beyond anyone actually playing it, sometimes contracts demand you make shit even if the game is a wasteland.
I just hope they dissolve Rocksteady by the end of this, the talent is gone and I don't know why WB would give them another chance when it takes them close to a decade to make a game.

Marvel Avengers was an unique situation as CD was looking to sale the studio, and had a deal with Marvel to produce bonus content as comic tie ins
Also Marvel Avengers bizarrely had very good initial sales, being the best selling game of the month, made around 130million$ on release, though it wasnt enough to cover square spending and they reported a 60mln$ loss for that quarter,
yellow is loss, blur is revenue, game came out in end of q3 2020, most revenue wil will be reported in q4
I seriously doubt Suicide Sqaud pulled in excess of 100mln$ in revenue
SS had to have a budget of 250-400mln$, 10 years development from a studio of 300 people is a shitton in costs, game gad to be a loss of 300mln$ or more since they had to cover multiple marketing windows with how many times the game was pushed back
forgot to add its just their big game branch, not entire company, the company has 3billion $ in revenue so those numbers arent anything special in comparison, they could afford to keep the turd alive
Funnily enough, I think Sega/CA did a better job with their own live service looter shooter. At least they had the foresight to cancel it weeks before release and prevent the damage it would have done.
Even as someone who actually likes the game having an 8 hour campaign and then basically 2 months before the game has anything worth playing it again for seems silly.
OK that's pretty sinister ngl. You have my curiosity (said like Leo from Django)

I'm pretty sure they completely canned any development that wasn't already approved and planned. It's Babylon's Fall all over again.
Contract. They are probably forced to make some DLC due to it, but as soon as that is done they'll drop it.

>Suicide Squad shill promotes joker on his YouTube, uses a different joker render from deviant art as the thumbnail.
even they know the game is bad, and they got to use any means necessary to boost the algorithm
>Yeah, I’m thinking Suicide Squad is back
What's the context behind this?
the jonkler is just a lil bit crazy like that
He’s all messed up, you know
You were just too good to be true

They really nailed the whole lesbian vibe the joker has going on.
>now we'll have 800 players instead of 500!
Even as someone who actually likes the game having an 8 hour campaign and then basically 2 months before the game has anything worth playing it again for seems silly.

He got better.
He’s an “Elseworld” Joker. In other words he’s a completely different person from a different reality
>kill the justice league
