The xbox is easy to mod, subhuman homosexual
It's also an extremely easy game to find, and by far the least expensive in the series. Used copies regularly go for less than $20 and it's a backwards compatible title.
you can literally play it on every single generation of xbox, you stupid homosexual
you cant emulate xbox?
Did they fix the problem where the gun shots are absurdly loud?
How do you get good FPS in this?
I have a ryzen 2600x and it just lags like hell around 20-30 fps. Feels like I have some sort of setting wrong.
I have it with default settings. Increasing internal resolution is extremely demanding on some games, even at 2X it brings Panzer Dragoon to it's knees on my PC. It's one of the more demanding games that I've tested so far.
This is like the second easiest panzer dragoon to acquire and play
i could tell from the barefoot teenage girl on the cover
Patrician
>Dan Schneider has entered the chat
Orta is definitely waifu material.
II Zwei is the best
>emulating xbox
ngmi
Because it takes the best aspects of the previous three games and combines them into one.
it has the best gameplay and so much content, but you have to disregard the dumb story and they way the kinda butchered the originally enigmatic setting
>kinda butchered the originally enigmatic setting
How so?
The og Xbox is harder to emulate than the PS3 or the switch
What da???????
>harder to emulate than the PS3
nope
>or the switch
switch has the same architecture as a smartphone, which is well documented
still have my copy sitting in storage
loved this game, even though i sucked at it
the extra content as the soldier guy was super hard but i felt like the story was solid
and the soundtrack was amazing. i can still hear the one for fighting the dragonmare soldiers just thinking about it
>Best graphics (maybe not if judging games by comparison to other games around their release date)
>Most levels
>Most unlockables (including PD1 pc port)
>Most depth as far as mechanics and stratagy is concerned (except the rpg)
>Great music as usual for the series
>Worst story of the series, it’s actually embarrassing to the viewer or perhaps cringe-inducing is the right expression. Strong Star Wars Holiday Special vibes.
It’s a great game overall. Obviously some people will prefer the rpg. Saga as its a totally different styled game than the other 3 and very hard to compare as its going for something different. Panzer Dragoon 1 may just have the best music. And it may be the greatest technical achievement being released in 1995.
Compared to 1 and 2 there exists a spectrum of simplicity and “arcadiness” to complexity, strategy and depth.
The original being the most like a simple arcade game in a 3d perspective with little strategy outside of shot timing, placement and movement. I suppose something like Space Harrier would be even simpler than this.
Zwei adds more strategy elements with berserk attacks, multiple routes, secret points, dragon transformations, time bonuses and probably a few more things I’m forgetting. I’m also partial to Zwei being 3d controller compatible.
Orta would be the most complex and deep. Leveling up, changing Dragons on the fly, controlling speed and controlling postion relative to enemies comes to mind.
Zwei is my favorite, because of its position as the middle point of essentially a basic arcade game and what could almost be called a rail-shooting RPG.
story of the series, it’s actually embarrassing to the viewer or perhaps cringe-inducing is the right expression. Strong Star Wars Holiday Special vibes.
I'm really curious about this and want some elaboration. PD seems to have such an interesting world and no one ever talks about it.
Cause no one can play the games. They've been on my radar forever but it's just too much cash
b***h please, don't know about Orta but all others emulate just fine
Nah man it just doesn't feel right
Why is that wrong to say? I don't like how computerize it all is now
I get yr point but there are ways to get the game man, I'm not some rich gay but even I've got a complete copy of pd 1+2, hell Ive even got hotd1. Just import a copy or something guy. Doesn't orta have pd1 as an unlockable or something?
>Buy a saturn with a modchip.
>Burn PD1, Zwei, Saga onto CDR’s
>Buy orta on Xbox store for like $5.00
Its not that hard. A modded saturn will run you $90 but you can play thr entire library off cdr
I wont run through the entire story, but it feels like a bad fanfic based on Panzer Dragoon Saga. Theres a level or two where you go inside a mind or another dimension or something and explore thoughts or feelings or something real gay. I think the main character is the child of a human and a bioengineered being. She’s like fricking Rapunzel at the start. She makes friend with aliens for like 10 seconds and then their the most important thing in her life. Orta is at its best if you don’t pay much attention to story. The assualt on the fleet, winter level, and a few more are great and don’t involve dumb story lines.
>Theres a level or two where you go inside a mind or another dimension or something and explore thoughts or feelings
sounds very Arzach, I don't see a problem
From what I remember it was an advance computer that stored memories so you're playing through a simulation or recorded experiences. It was a cool way to elaborate on the story without relying on long cutscenes. I don't really see what was "gay" about it, that sort of mysterious advanced, but still arcane tech just seemed natural for the series.
yeah doesn't sound too bad, and very Arzach inspired with the mind/machine connection.
I think in some ways Saga set a bad precedent because comparatively anything that wasn't an RPG would feel lighter in story. The orta devs has a difficult job taking over for another team, but also following up on the Saga plotline while returning to the series roots. Ultimately I think how they handled it works well; it almost feels like a twist on a fairy tale; Orta is the girl in the tower trapped by wicked forces, her lineage is greater than just being some poor urchin, being the
"daughter" of the prior game's protagonists(achieved through science, but effectively making her a miracle child.)
The sub scenarios were also cool ways to explore a little more of the world.
>Best graphics (maybe not if judging games by comparison to other games around their release date)
frick no, the art direction took a massive hit
Why? Because it's no longer based off Nausicaa and Moebius?
yes
That doesn't look better or more unique than Orta. PDO has always been plagued by Saturn hipsters who hated it for damn near autistic reasons.
Am I the only one who thought the RPG sucked? I had no interest in it after playing an hour.
What did you dislike the most about it? It hooked me immediately and remains one of my all time favorites. My only problems with it are that it's too short, and too easy.
Fanfiction: The Game
They completely missed the tone of the franchise. It's honestly cringeworthy, kind of like watching the Phantom Menace after the original Star Wars Trilogy
I liked the PD remake and hope the Zwei remake is still on track.
I hated the PD remake and hope the Zwei remake was cancelled due to how poorly received the first one deservedly was.
I hope they change the art direction at least
I hope they learned something from the first remake and replicate the look and feel of Zwei better. But Sega is a tight fisted company, so maybe we'll never see the Saga remake, much less a proper revival of a great franchise.
Why is only the original game that got ports and remakes but not the superior sequels?
I am playing the first one right now, and while I am immenselty enjoying it - why on earth did they go with a 2 life system, losing both of these lives game overs you back to the start of the game?
It's a fricking cinematic rail shooter, not a fricking arcade game. I don't even feel guilty save-stating at the start of a level.
Because the game itself is about an hour long. Need to pad that out somehow.
It's a very decent playtime for a rail shooter. Starfox 64 is 45 minutes tops.
Reminder the final boss has a second form, if you missed it you didn't beat the game
The game is very lenient with extra lives though
>Panzer Dragoon Orta
>Orta
>"From Proto-Turkic *ortu (“middle”)."
>Middle
more like the most mid Panzer Dragoon game.
