Try it out. The materials are (usually) really easy to get and it feels like it was just put in because... other games did it, I guess. I'd rather have it like this than other games where crafting becomes a major part of the game.
I'd recommend messing around with aromatics, status pots, and the silver claws. You can make some arrows too, all the wildlife you've probably killed can be used here.
>it's ok when From does it
have you even heard of the double slit experiment you stupid homosexual? if it wasn' for from you would understand ANYTHING. dumb frick. it IS k when they do it because they make things the way they are, there is no other way to see it because THIS IS ALL THERE IS. US AND THIS THREAD. get that stick out of your ass
It sucks but the alternative is grinding against random mobs for the drop directly, or having a limit on the number of usable items in the game.
Most games with limited consumables is your always trying to figure out if you should use the item or save it for later. Elden ring's crafting system ensures you can always get more of the basic consumables like fire pots. so If you screw up and waste all your items you can just craft a new set and try again.
EXCEPT FOR FRICKING SLEEP POTS BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON ST.TRINA'S LILY IS A ONE TIME SPAWN BECAUSE FRICK YOU I GUESS.
Yeah because it doesn't matter outside of crafting the buff perfumes and the freeze or sleep pots and arrows. Everything else is fricking shit. >crafting system >only useful to craft meta shit for both pve and pvp
Tale as old as time. Japan can't into proper mechanics.
There is no such thing as a good crafting system in video games
It's either grindy and tedious to search for materials or it's just tacked on and irrelevant
>I wouldn't mind crafting if they also included survival mechanics
And a few friendly cities, that would make the world come together. Elden Ring is too tied to Souls games, it feels like Dark Souls 4. Sekiro, BB and Armored Core at least are their own thing.
I fricking hated the crafting system in ER because the most important item for me, Preserving Boluses, had extremely limited crafting materials, why bother making a crafting system if you're going to neuter it in such a way.
gotta pad that empty world out with something to do, even if it is just "spamming the interact button while running around"
srsly why doesn't dark souls just automatically grab items already? who enjoys mashing GET GET GET all the time?
I only used it for the foreskin duo

Alex? Are you off your meds again?
Alex here. I'm actually back on my meds, by which I mean I started smoking weed again
Pasternak? Are you there it’s me Margret the fell troony..
I wish the perfumes didn't use the Arteria Leaves. Means you get like 30 of them per playthrough
You gotta kill the trolls on MotG.
everyone knows farming in a single player action game is really fun game design
>just farm the no name enemies with the most hp in the game bro
.
Yup, I agree.
my friend gave me the hint to craft sleep pots for godskin duo
I didn't beat the game.

how many sleep pots do you need exactly? i use like 2 per playthrough, if that.
Almost like it was soullessly tacked on to pander to a trend or something
I have a character at the final area and I basically never used it aside from making some rainbow stones to see if I could survive a fall
They had to add trash collecting to justify the open world, and crafting is the easiest way to make it feel like less of a chore.

Crafting systems are for homosexuals, real men take their things from dead bodies or buy them with money from dead bodies.
I wouldn't mind crafting if they also included survival mechanics like they originally were planning. It would add another element to the game.

I’m on my third playthrough and actually decided to use some of it and it’s surprisingly useful. Rot pot especially.
>rot
you didn't beat it

It felt pointless like the durability system, more annoying than useful.
After beating the game I cheated all the mats in to make whatever I want forever. I ain't playing your minigame shit.
