Also this. They are all intelligent, but not all are wise. Out of them only Oranguru, Slowking and Uxie seem to be capable of wisdom, the most important quality of the advisor to the king. Metagross is just a highly rational AI, Reuniclus is just a child, Orbeetle an alien. Not really the best candidates for the position.
Uxie is probably the best choice here. It's literally the source of all human knowledge. That makes it more than smart enough to predict any potential betrayal. If shit somehow hits the fan despite everything, it can just open its eyes and wipe the idea of treachery from the minds of the others.

Uxie would be obnoxious about it all and runs the whole "Gods frick with Mortals in their own drama" risk and thats assuming it wouldn't be a lazy piece of shit, Slowking strokes me as the type who would kill someone you pardoned behind your back because he still sees them as a risk while putting up a doddering front literally "I pretended to be moronic for 5 years". Metagross would probably just want to parse data for the sake of parsing data then actually DO something with it due the computer angle. Ornaguro has the delegation angle down, the issue would likely be more giving YOU advice.
