Make it like a souped up version of speed boost. Gigas starts with shit speed and accuracy that slowly ramps up with each passing turn but it can still otherwise ttack as normal instead of waiting for slow start to end

    Give it protect

Give him some passive healing while slow start is active or make body press actually function. Why this mon has 3-4 unique clauses solely designed to frick him over makes me think the guy who designed him fricked someone's wife

Would making slow start only last something shorter like 3, 2, or 1 turns be enough?

one turn slow start would be great

Alter the Ability system to make it like PMD where Pokémon can have up to 2 Abilities at once and Give Regigigas Huge Power to work alongside Slow Start.

Slow start has the inverse effect, turn by turn, after it "gets its act together"

You mean on turn 6, it's stats would increase over it's normal stats? Isn't the issue that it faints before five turns?

5 turns does seem like a lot, I'd change it to three turns to get its act together and then a cap of 2 turns of improvement. And it's innate changes so something like haze doesn't remove the stat buffs.

Reduce Slow Start's duration to 3 Turns and it doesn't reset.

    Switching doesn't reset slow start
Slow Start gives you passive leftovers while it's active

Now, on top of being less debilitating, there is actually some choice behind how a player wants to build a set around slow start when you have passive healing for a short while.

I'd rework Slow Start to double the user's Defence and Special Defence during the 5 turns it's Attack and Speed are halved.

    Give it recover

    I wouldn't change it's stats or ability.
Instead I'll give it a new move that remove the effect of slow start when used and doesn't do anything else.
So you now have the choice to either wait 5 turns or waste one turn and one move slot.

      that's hardly a choice

Making it live up to its name by only effecting its speed and having it build over 5 turns and then keep building along with the rest of its stats like Speed Boost.

Slow Start sets attack to -6 when Regigigas enters battle, and then raises attack by +4 for three turns. Now you only have to survive two turns until it becomes a buff, and then the third turn you're god.
