you are saying it as if it was something bad
breaking the law and committing a crime are two different things for me, I just follow the laws I think make sense
for example: I have an almost 6 figure salary but I haven't paid taxes on it for about 5 years now, I just get paid to a foreign bank account and then wash the money into the country through crypto
When Metroid Dread was emulated day 1 tendies were shitting their adult diapers in apropo of nothing. They were tagging the FBI and wishing death upon people completely unprovoked.
Why is the ideological opposition to piracy such a uniquely Amerishart thing? I can't imagine, nor have I ever seen anyone from any country other than burgerland say anything negative about it.
its because they are brainwashed into thinking corporations are more important than people, thus they will rush to defend anything done or said against a corporation before they even consider thinking about anything else
japs have a very serious and strict control over their public views and opinions, but as soon as they feel confidence and privacy, all of that goes out the window

I should say
I have pirated nintendo games since the early 00s. If I had enough to afford a flashcart for the GBA back then, I would have done that. I emulated N64 and GBA games very frequently.
As soon as I could, I had my gamecube modchipped by someone. I did a shoddy job with a replacement case that took full DVDs.
A few buddies showed me the Supercard SD and how it ran pirated DS games. As soon as I could, I stopped buying DS games and just got that instead. Then I bought a few more flashcards and exclusively pirated DS games. Same with the Wii, in fact I had it modchipped as well, I was that desperate. Same with the 3DS, as soon as I could. I had like 5 games maybe, then it got better modding tools and off we go with the fricking ROMs. I had the Wii U for some time, I bought some games, but ultimately I sold it before any proper modding could be done on it, so it was the only platform I didn't bother pirating on.
Currently I have a PC that's mostly capable of running switch games fine, with the exception of ToTK, for some reason I can't get something decent going. It's all stutters on both Windows and Linux, some weird issues here and there and it's just not that playable. I have a switch and I've been playing it there instead. And the switch is modded and I pirate every single game in there. I don't buy a single game for the switch. I don't think online is worth it.
I will continue to pirate Nintendo games for as long as it can be physically possible and I have zero remorse.
Anon you don't have an excuse when you can just find 0.5% of those games on the virtual console. What's that, you don't want to buy Ocarina of Time for the 5th time? Come on now. How else will the Nintendo survive? What do you mean it's badly emulated? They're probably like the originals and you just don't remember!
I didn't steal a console, I didn't steal a game, someone else did, I merely downloaded what was already stolen and used those files on an open-source software that was made from scratch. Have fun trying to prove me wrong.
>pirated Pokemon mystery dungeon dx, metroid dread, metroid prime remastered >have no interest in TOTK because I already played BOTW on Cemu and did not like it whatsoever >currently tried to play the 3 old Mario 3D game collection but I got bored at the start of Sunshine, already played 64 too many times and I hate Galaxy 1 vs Galaxy 2
I have almost no interest in many of the bing bing wahoos of the Switch. Am I missing out on anything?
If you have to spend far more money on a PC capable of proper emulation than it takes to buy a console and the games for it, have you really saved money? It's like buying a luxury car just to drive to Aldi.
Yes, but you should already have a PC, for your other hobbies, to play PC exclusives, because phoneposters are scum, etc. Since you, and I, and everyone here already has a PC, the cost of "proper emulation" is $0.
>Since you, and I, and everyone here already has a PC, the cost of "proper emulation" is $0.
Is that really true considering the ever rising component ceiling?
Most classic platforms for sure. Don't bullshit people though. Switch emulation is deceiving for how many titles run flawlessly on toasters, and how some run like absolute dogshit. What nobody ever mentions about emulating tiktok for instance is the frame pacing issues you'd have on a sort of mid range AMD build at the very least. I played some of it on a 3600/6600xt and it wasn't fun to deal with stupid shit like memory leaks and botched fps mods. Can't imagine a decade old build handling that all that well.
Why even bother with a hobby if you can't spare a couple hundred bucks each year?
That's like trying to get into bungee jumping except that the rope you're attached to is a hemp one you got for cheap from home depot. And it's wrapped around your neck.
>Why even bother with a hobby if you can't spare a couple hundred bucks each year?
I want you to think about what you just said in the the context of the thread.
I want you to think about what you just said in the the context of the ongoing conversation.
I can emulate on my phone, too. PCs are a hobby, unless you're a manchild buying prebuilds. Also, there's more to them than emulation.
I would've had to spend like 3x what my PC cost to get all the rare PS2 and PS1 games I emulated. An 800 dollar PC can play modern games + emulate Switch games well. If you emulate and finish 9 games you're already ahead of someone that bought a new switch and purchased 9 new games.
Was never going to buy it in the first place. Its called file sharing. Someone bought the game and shared the files with others. The buyer has a right to do what ever they want with the files they own.
I have the ability to steal OP. I have the access at my fingertips but I choose not to because I don't fricking care about Nintendo anymore. If I wanna play a Mario game I'll go play on NES or SNES.
Alongside hordes of people defending that because oh look it's ganondorf and I can make funny vehicles, don't kid yourself
Ganker is not the internet and a bunch of discordgays around here aren't going to drive sales down for a fricking zelda game so much that it requires some sort of leak to be successful
>pirates everything >hmmm, I wonder why this game I liked didn't get a sequel >hmmm, I wonder why the industry is going to shit and only makes products for people who buy them
>pirates everything >new game comes out, pirate it, it's good and it sells >years later sequel comes out, pirate it >continues to be good, continues to sell
No problems here
>Pirate game some time after the initial marketing push, when the company intends for all of their prospective audience to buy it (see also how marketing push on Ganker eventually dies out and people are facetiously quizzical about why no one talks about X game anymore) >Play it, talk about it, get involved in the community >Sequel comes out and the playerbase is theoretically one larger + however many got involved because of the discourse surrounding the game being kept organically alive
Piracy doesn't hurt good games with good service, if there is a problem then it's pretty much always something else that either affected the studio, the publisher or the greater market.
So really, the response against emulation usually involves emulation glitches. But what games are noticeably glitchy to the point that it's not worth the tradeoff of better fps and resolution?
It used to be that Mario + Rabbids and Ultimate Alliance 3 ran like putrid shit with game-ending crashes but that seems to no longer be the case. Aside from online features, what are some games you can only really experience on the Switch and not emulation? Ring Fit Adventure comes to mind but not much else.
is it even worth hacking a Switch if its not persistent? will it ever be? i can charge my VITA and have access to all of the CFW i want but it seems like a massive hassle for the switch at the moment
you can modchip it, i saw they do it with an arduino now
or just do the paper clip with a v1 switch, just put it on sleep mode, play what you want and reboot it when you want to play online
okay, and?
they don't care, why should you?
umm you can't because...... please just stop okay?!
alright since you said please
You're eating right out of Miyamoto's rice bowl. He could starve to death.
If only
May you get caught. May you get caught. May Nintendo have their way with you.
Emulation isnt illegal. There is no 'caught'.
>Little does this moron know, but he will eventually be fricked by Nintendont
Nothing. That's it. You admit you're stealing, and the conversation ends. Good work, thief.
/thread
>moralgay self-/threads his own post
kwab
Will pirate three new games in your honor, when I'm back home
I know, I'm doing it intentionally. I hope all those morons are right and I'm really hurting the company.
Good, I WANT to hurt Nintendo.
you gonna do something about it?
you are saying it as if it was something bad
breaking the law and committing a crime are two different things for me, I just follow the laws I think make sense
for example: I have an almost 6 figure salary but I haven't paid taxes on it for about 5 years now, I just get paid to a foreign bank account and then wash the money into the country through crypto
I wish vegans would just shut up about not eating animal products and just eat their animal flavored beans.
No, it's great, listen: I can just make a copy! Then we can both have one. Win-win!
Don't mind me, just pirating these chips.
I will pirate you into my basement you little shit
Cute potato
Damn right, I have a modded switch.
Just pirated latest zelda a million times so Nintendo would lose 60 million dollars
want me to do another million copies?
Jesus christ wasn't stealing bread when he multiplicated it
Think about all the lost bread sales
why are they like this though
because the guy on the left is
>@FBI @ABIB @NINTENDO @HOPEYOUGETCAUGHT
When Metroid Dread was emulated day 1 tendies were shitting their adult diapers in apropo of nothing. They were tagging the FBI and wishing death upon people completely unprovoked.
>a small handful of twatter morons
>THAT'S 100% OF NINTENDO PEOPLES
>MY TRIBE GOOD YOUR TRIBE BAD
Jesus, this is an ugly post.
>crying about piracy
Why is Ganker like this? Literally the only board where that happens.
It's mostly le epic trolling, though people who go on about how much they pirate are fricking obnoxious.
(You)
Why is the ideological opposition to piracy such a uniquely Amerishart thing? I can't imagine, nor have I ever seen anyone from any country other than burgerland say anything negative about it.
genetically enginered to suck israelite dick
its because they are brainwashed into thinking corporations are more important than people, thus they will rush to defend anything done or said against a corporation before they even consider thinking about anything else
japs seem to be against piracy but that might be due to stricter laws
What japs say and what they do in private are two completely different things. Pokemon Pearl war pirated in Nihon 2 million times.
japs have a very serious and strict control over their public views and opinions, but as soon as they feel confidence and privacy, all of that goes out the window

amerimutts are bred to be the perfect Black personcattle
I’d go as far to say mutts are less “american” than basketball youths and that’s just pathetic.
Making a copy of something isn't stealing.
>this, but especially the highlighted area, sends nintentards into a blind rage

I hope you go to jail you thieving Black person
I'm whiter than you, THOUGH.
no chance. Us whites would never steal
Stealing from Nintendo is a civic duty
I should say

I don't really care about piracy anymore. Having to play a Nintendo game on a soulless pc is punishment enough.
But piracy is morally correct
but morality is just a trend that changes over time, while piracy is eternally good
morality comes from God, you are thinking of ethics
Even if I bought the game and own a switch?
it's ok when nintendo does it
Put the games on steam and I'll buy them like the rest.
Sega does what Nintendon't, unironically
I can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to play all of the games I did growing up if it weren't for piracy. It was a fantastic time.
Anon you don't have an excuse when you can just find 0.5% of those games on the virtual console. What's that, you don't want to buy Ocarina of Time for the 5th time? Come on now. I am.
I don't play nintendoshit though.
Release yo shit on PC and I wouldn't have to.
They can even make their own App and Launcher.
Nintendo just hates money though.
yep
yes i am thanks for noticing
Imagine giving money to these fricking moronic publishers
>fricking child

You don't need much for emulation. A ten year old mid-range PC is almost good enough for most platforms.
Most classic platforms for sure. Don't bullshit people though. Switch emulation is deceiving for how many titles run flawlessly on toasters, and how some run like absolute dogshit. What nobody ever mentions about emulating tiktok for instance is the frame pacing issues you'd have on a sort of mid range AMD build at the very least. a 20 year old thinkpad will run p2 games perfectly, wtf are you even on about?
>Spend like $600 on a decent PC

I would've had to spend like 3x what my PC cost to get all the rare PS2 and PS1 games I emulated. An 800 dollar PC can play modern games + emulate Switch games well. If you emulate and finish 9 games you're already ahead of someone that bought a new switch and purchased 9 new games.

Hell yeah I am
I have the ability to steal OP. I have the access at my fingertips but I choose not to because I don't fricking care about Nintendo anymore. If I wanna play a Mario game I'll go play on NES or SNES.
>CEMU still has 5x the performance in BOTW than Yuzu and ryu
what are these morons doing?
Yeah and? What you gonna do about it whiteboy?
Piracy and emulation don't hurt good games, they only benefit from word of mouth.
This is why Nintendo intentionally leaked TotK weeks from launch.
It's Zelda, it already had word of mouth weeks from launch without any leaks
And it's word of mouth was
>ARR ROOK SAME
Alongside hordes of people defending that because oh look it's ganondorf and I can make funny vehicles, don't kid yourself
Ganker is not the internet and a bunch of discordgays around here aren't going to drive sales down for a fricking zelda game so much that it requires some sort of leak to be successful
snot my problem
if i stole it, then the total amount of original product should be reducing, anon. But instead it's increasing. I'm helping them.
Stealing digital content is one of my hobbies.
>pirates everything
>hmmm, I wonder why this game I liked didn't get a sequel
>hmmm, I wonder why the industry is going to shit and only makes products for people who buy them
I don't wonder that, THOUGHEVER
>pirates everything
>new game comes out, pirate it, it's good and it sells
>years later sequel comes out, pirate it
>continues to be good, continues to sell
No problems here
If this logic was true then BOTW wouldn't have gotten a sequel, considering how many people emulated it on cemu.
I bet you also vote in elections.

>own game
>want to play in higher quality with mods
>stealer
Come say that again to my face
I don't care
Bought the digital version so no
It’s morally correct to steal from multi billion dollar companies but especially if it’s ninceldo
Does Yuzu run Totk perfectly yet?
You want your Super Mario Odyssey™ game for the Nintendo® Switch™ system back? Well... TOO BAD!
i have horseshit framerate in pokemon violet and bayonetta 3 stutters all the time how can i fix this
i5-11400F
gtx1070ti
16gb ram
fix it by buying a switch.
you probably need some mod to make the game more stable, most games don't just run straight away
Stealing from Nintendo is an honor.
It is stealing. Saying it's copying or not stealing is just cope. Just own it like a true Chad
not really
copying is not stealing anything
So really, the response against emulation usually involves emulation glitches. But what games are noticeably glitchy to the point that it's not worth the tradeoff of better fps and resolution?

nintendo labo, 1 2 switch, basically all those gyro gimmick games
No, because Nintendo refuse to release it's games on steam. So it's NOT stealing.
Nintendo wishes I was stealing their games and not just using the emulator to play actually good multiplats that haven't been cracked
is it even worth hacking a Switch if its not persistent? will it ever be? i can charge my VITA and have access to all of the CFW i want but it seems like a massive hassle for the switch at the moment
you can modchip it, i saw they do it with an arduino now

I do not understand the loyalty to corporations or brands.
I am black so it's okay
