When he broke out of the container in Act 2 and immediately went >MY MIND IS MINE!!!!
and proceeded to smite instakill a Mindflayer, I was sold. It made me actually giddy, it was a very well acted out moment combined with great chance for him to actually hit and hit that hard.
Zevlor was really cool yeah, kind of wish we got him over Halsin too as a Minty alternative, maybe even a quest to help him regain his pride
There was a dragon in act 1 right? I saw it but completely missed it
Yeah, it was supposed to feature in the mountain pass as well as it's implied to be the dominated dragon at the end of the game but it seems the set piece got cut entirely and we merely have fragments of what happens, which explains how Voss goes from outrageously narcissistic c**t to humbled, crippled, dragonless Hobo by the time you find him in late act 1 / early act 2
>which explains how Voss goes from outrageously narcissistic c**t to humbled, crippled, dragonless Hobo by the time you find him in late act 1 / early act 2
I was wondering about that. I figured it was a front. Voss is basically 'zeri undercover as 'yanki so i just figured it was all an act
Also is Voss supposed to be the same one who "slew" orpheous millenia ago (note, vlaakith is the hundred something of that name and has been ruling over 1000 years herself, the first was the original queen). I assumed it was either a title or a common name.
Act 3. Go to the circus and find the djinn. pick pocket his ring, you must do this step. then talk to djinn and spin the wheel. you will be teleported to a dinosaur world, and near the exit portal, you will find the chest containing the spear. save before you do this incase you mess up.
There is literally no downside to doing this. You get a super cool opening for act 2 and a companion that's the most broken class in the game. The githyanki even complement you on murdering the druids real good.
Lay on hands and smite, you can crank the smite autism up even further if you multi, like half your best multi options are gunna include paladin imo. Burst damage is everything in this game.
Smite deals an absolutely moronic amount of damage. 2d8, plus another d8 per additional spell level, on top of your weapon's damage and the spell slot isn't consumed if you miss.
You then build for crit fishing. It's a better version of sneak attack without any requirements.
It's good, but nowhere near broken. Monk is the most broken class in the game and fighter beats a paladin after level 11 as a martial. Paladin is consistently strong throughout the game and a CHA class, which makes it popular. The game is just too easy, so everyone thinks their class is broken and paladin is the most played class.
>There is literally no downside to doing this.
Except for, you know, losing half the side quests in Act 2 because Larian thought it was a good idea to tie so many of them to tieflings from the grove.
Okay I'm so confused, I seem to have a perma bladeward and resistance on frog girl. I know have perma bless on her because of the statue but doesn't anyone know what might be causing the other 2?
So even if you literally never use a bow, as long as you have this equipped it applies its crit bonus to main hand weapons and spells. Same for the bow that gives heat and cold res.
This works for all bows. You get their bonuses, even if you use melee. Ranged character get their shield AC. It's straight up moronic and caused by them making weapon swap a free action.
>You brought goblins here?! Where is the Druid?
This line is actually foreshadowing the fact that Halsin lies and doesn't show up to the battle until after it is already won.
They don't have any attack roll bonus, so they'd only be as good as you can hit. Also, you would need savage attacker for sure since the damage range is so wide
The highest attack bonus in the game is +3 I think, 4d8 is on average 16 damage
So thing of it as taking a -3 for 16 damage, other than bad RNG on dice it's a better deal than GWF
Yes, but only in Act 3.
Level 6 - Summon Planar Ally
You can also get attacked by some if you steal from a specific location. That was fun when the fricking curse procced while I was in combat with god damned Gith'yanki.
i kept expecting him to actually redeem himself but it was awfully satisfying finally killing him in the middle of baldurs gate in broad daylight and no one gave a shit in the slightest.
You are a moron. Their society is literally a conservative's wet dream. Racial supremacy and everyone is taught at a young age that Dark Elves are the superior beings.
>"Their society is literally a conservative's wet dream" >Literal matriarchy >Male drow are treated little better than slaves >Female drow suck human dick like it's candy
Cultural wars have rotted your brain
sounds like your CPU is shit. I don't think this game is insanely demanding of GPU, probably no more than other games that have good graphics and maybe less so because it is not rendering as fast as say, an FPS.
I had some issues with a few games while I had 32GB of DDR4, an i7 8th gen, and a 3080 FTW3-- upgraded to an i9 13th gen, 64GB of DDR5, a 980 EVO m.2 drive, a new mobo, and a 1300W PSU now my shit runs like a dream (also watercooled) and it looks incredible
just be a good wagie and drop that hard earned money on new parts, goy
NTA but also turn on slow HDD mode if you don't have a cutting edge NVMe SSD. I have a still respectable SATAIII SSD and was nonetheless getting frequent framedrops and stuttering until I turned it on.
>Working with Shadow Druids >Working with Shadow Druids who were shadow controlled by the Absolute according to documents in Moonrise >50 iq morons still say she was le right to be contrarian
I will recommend the Harlequin class mod. Really should've been a Thief subclass. Its something like a mix of Arcane Trickster and Bard, except its actually mechanically powerful. Gets Rogue and Bard tags for conversation, casts spells with Charisma.
Cheat yourself the Scoundrel ring, to have fun early "5b74c9d8-cb88-4a29-99c4-25d98c7d88f7",--MAG_ArcaneTrickster_Ring (Band of the Mystic Scoundrel)
Combine it with the More Drow Gear mod. The items are overpowered for Act I, but the point is fun, and you can ration them out. I equipped one every time I leveled up, so not be too overpowered.
Since both a drow character, and the Harlequin class are evil coded, and related to fear, and working with pierce damage and illusions and ambushes, its perfect for a Dark Urge game.
And since you aren't exactly a Thief/Assassin, you can justify having Astarion in the party, and not have it be a total overlap. You can also get him to go into Gloom Stalker, or have Shadowheart multiclass into it after getting the AoE stealth buff from her domain, to have a stealthy party.
tencent has been really good though, they have been funding good shit, so I am far removed from understanding that anti-china shillgay except for terminal contrarianism which plagues low-test people
>spent 2 hours in the mage tower fight in act 3 trying to keep dame aylin alive >can't fricking do it, she gets ripped to shreds every time >eventually just give up and finish the fight >she just fricking gets up like nothing happened
there again, I guess she IS immortal isn't she...
My buddy has been playing solo alongside our three man co-op game and keeps talking about how difficult some of the fights are leading up to us doing said fights and almost completely sweeping the fights with little challenge.
The mage tower fight was like 5 minutes, only one who got close to dying was our monk cause he kept attacking Lorroakan and getting smacked back.
Well for me everyone died except for Karlach. There's not enough time to deal with Lorroakan before he nukes you. I had to suicide bomb him with disintegrate and then finish him off with someone else and Karlach was the only one standing at the end.
>he didnt just kill the mage the first time he met him without bringing Aylin along
That would be even more difficult since she take on aggro for free.
The key is to not actually leave the tower when he tells you to retrieve her. Split the party and have everyone take position, send one guy to camp to get her and then go back. It's a much easier fight when you don't start clumped up in one spot getting hammered by AoE bullshit
You should see how Pathfinder gays talk. They not only like it, they float about how their system is so shit that it requires you to spend 30 min buffing before every fight, and neglecting their hygiene trying to figure out the most broken multiclassing build. All for a moronic shit game.

I have to admit I'm a bit confused on how you guys can't instakill the mage dude and then just mop the elemtals easy with the threat gone, maybe EK/wizard is an OP combination but honestly that fight felt really easy for me on tac
>coat drow poison >3shot him with basic rogue hand crossbow >saved 2 first two shots and final shot made him sleep >doesn't matter as that robbed 3/4 of his health >dies while doing nothing
Come on dude, you'd have so many options by act 3
I was on 2nd week patch when I used a lot of drow poisons, to my knowledge saving throw will only fail the effect, and you can proc them anyway with 2nd/3rd/4th hit and so on
Only thing that fricked me up was because I went in with all casters minus karlach and would get silenced before i could move.
The second i swapped gale and wyll out for astarion and lae'zel, the fight was easy.
Sanctuary. They're invincible until you lose concentration or they attack. As long as the caster isn't going immediately before them if you need to keep someone alive it's perfect. But yeah she's immortal bro don't worry about her.
>Hit mage >He counters with that energy bullshit >Counter his energy bullshit with psionic damage reaction because his reaction is a spell >He counters my counter with another reaction because he has an extra reaction (??????????????????????????????????????????) >He dies anyways because all 4 of my team countered his bullshit for 15 damage a pop and my character dealt like 50 damage on hit >Clean up his elementals >Rest >Get his elementals' weapons because they don't go back to the elemental planes with them because ??????????????????????????????????????????????? >Get sad because I killed Clank
simple as
>hey, thanks for saving us from this monster that kept us petrified for who knows how long >by the way, frick you we're going to kill you
lol good job moron
that's fine, but did they also have to be fricking braindead?
just have them go off on their adventure and then fight us at the forge if we go there
or better yet, hire us to be the meatshield, and then backstab us after we take care of some obstacle at the forge
anything but literally trying to kill us just seconds after saving them
yeah, if the leader is alive, you have a conversation with him, some lore points, blah blah, he realizes he's been stuck for a while, he asks about the forge, you tell him what you know, and then he tries to kill you so you can't go to the forge
>hey thanks for saving me, oh no my stone isn't that bright anymore >hey pretty stone it's mine now >NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT SAY NO TO THE DRUSSY BECAUSE MUH CULTURE
>their leader dies in the fight because of an "accident" >cure the guy on the top right rock >oh too bad our leader didn't make it i'll save the rest of my bros and leave thanks 🙂
lol
I just ended up killing him and one other dude who escaped petrification and then ran around and killed the others while they were statues. Free xp my homie.
Weird as all hell that they made a "secret" weapon to deal more damage to this specify enemy type inspite of you only ever really running into one (two) of them.
>hey thanks for saving me, oh no my stone isn't that bright anymore >hey pretty stone it's mine now >NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT SAY NO TO THE DRUSSY BECAUSE MUH CULTURE

lol
>be drow queen >kill the beholder and speak to the moids >guy is forced to give me his life's labour for free and just sit there with his wiener in his hand
Drussy privilidge 🙂
I am not really enjoying act 2. The whole thing is just darkness lmao. I was not expecting the Gauntlet of Shar to be a gigantic dungeon. I'm getting burnt out. I just want to prance through a high fantasy land mingling with forest gnomes and helping halflings with their dragon problem. The shadow cursed lands manages to be much more dark than the Underdark.
I feel you. It really is too dragged out and feels like double the size of act 1 which is a huge problem.
But the worst part is how tonally the shadowlands should have been an act 3 location, and we should have gone to Baldur's Gate first and settled everyone's stories.
Man, what? Act 2 is like 30 hours to act 1's 60 if you're real slow at talking to people, act 3 is where the game slows down because of how content dense it is
Act 1 features the starting area, and ends when the goblins and grove is sorted. I consider the underdark and mountain path 1.5 and the shadowlands act 2.
Shadowlands features 1 massive sprawling dungeon, the moonrise towers that is content dense, lastlight inn, that entire town.
It's just...not pretty or enjoyable to explore. In act 1 and 1.5 you see a lot of different interesting locations. Act 2 is JUST shadow cancer and shadow homies. It feels long because it just carries the theme too far.
I agree with this, I took significant breaks from the game during act 3 because of how draining all the talking was, way too many quests and "RP"
Not him and did spend more time in act 1 but spent way more time than what we should have in act 2 by going burn grove path<lyre for the spider<and leaving the huge bubble area for almost last forcing us to use the lamp the whole time essentially
That's fair, you can get shafted by going Minthy but even then act 2 is kind of just the tower, the inn, and the dungeon. I would hardly consider the Thorm family (cool as they are) and the Shadar-Kai autist content even if they're neat

Yeah, multiplayer and first run to boot too, felt so dumb realizing that place wasn't some a huge fight(well initially anyway). My solo run I think I did act 1 in 25 hours and 2 in 10-12 give or take and I go through more bs containers than I'd like.
Anonymous
Must have skipped through quite a lot even then, when I ran act 1 after already doing everything a previous run it was still about 25-30 hours for everything with some dialogue skipping, can't imagine doing it so fast without skipping all dialogue or just ignoring content you didn't enjoy the last time
9 months ago
Anonymous
Dialogue, a decent bit yeah, a lot of it is gonna be the same stuff that I heard almost all of read out the first time. No reason to sit through talks like with the dwarf lady and her moronic mushroom until/unless you go with a different outcome. And no way I'm not skipping all that first time to the grove visit dialogue, it's crazy how long that takes going about it normally.
They even talk about how they made act 2 really linear to give you a break from how much exploring act 1 makes you do. The theme and the tone of act 2 is really consistent and cool but it's really draining, and you don't really get rewarded for exploring in non-quest locations unlike in act 1
That's worse. It IS linear but it doesn't feel linear. Act 1 has few paths but they all peas to someplace different and really unique. Literally as soon as you leave the grove you can either go through the hags swamp or go through the goblin camp which leads to a cave, the goblin fort or to where karlach is.
Shadowlands has nothing, but sprawling interconnected paths that trick you into walking every branches path only to loop back around and realize you saw nothing.

Idk, act 2 had so little relevant locations and I never felt incentived to explore the map. Story wise it is pretty linear though, the entire Thorm family can be skipped and it's basically just >Inn >Tower >Dungeon >Tower
I don't know if its because im playing on tactician, but there is no fricking way in hell the accuracy % of hit is accurate. Not randomly seething I've been playing RNG games all my life, the amount of times I miss six 65~75% in a row or two 90% is ridiculous
what a joke. I've been playing poker since I'm 18 years old and now im 32, played xcom and tons of other rng based rpg and I've never seen something even close to that joke.
Those numbers are absolutely not accurate don't let the moronic fanboy tell you otherwise. It's either bg3 is not capable of establishing real numbers or it's because it shows 'normal difficulty' numbers and they did not adjust it for tactician
I don't know if its because im playing on tactician, but there is no fricking way in hell the accuracy % of hit is accurate. Not randomly seething I've been playing RNG games all my life, the amount of times I miss six 65~75% in a row or two 90% is ridiculous
Absolutely no way these number are accurate
The red pill is to play on easy. It can turn fights into facerolls, but I'm also never quick saving. I know I'm going to beat the game, so I'd rather just have the occasional challenge instead of loading over and over because the difficulty is simply a dice roll
the amount of times I've rolled 4 or less with advantage is ridiculous
I don't know if its because im playing on tactician, but there is no fricking way in hell the accuracy % of hit is accurate. Not randomly seething I've been playing RNG games all my life, the amount of times I miss six 65~75% in a row or two 90% is ridiculous
>all these people struggling with tactician
surely im not the only one playing with +hp and stats for enemies from the tactician mod cause the shit became too easy around lvl 4?
Me as well. It I'm also using it to offset the level 20 mod
Then why cant they adjust numbers to reflect tactician? Im so triggered I think of uninstalling it
[...]
I have it off
The thing is it's not supposed to be rigging numbers, youre just supposed to have more variance on both the lucky and unlucky side
I guess ill turn it on since everybody says off might be the issue
You're either doing something wrong or you must have shit luck, I never had such problems during the entirety of my time playing on tac and the only fight I had to reset was Raph because I came unprepared
I dont particularly struggle, its much easier than pillars at path of the damned. Im just saying the rng is inaccurate
9 months ago
Anonymous
PotD and Core+ in Kangmaker and sequel just give a bunch of extra stats to enemies, which when using a crunch heavy system like pillars and pathfinder make it somewhat of a slog, especially with the +15 deflection miss chains of PotD or Wrath's ludicrous AC scaling, tactician seems like a cakewalk in comparison
Shame too, I was really excited when they showcased tactician for the first time and they added a bunch of barrels to the encounter, barely ever see that in the full game and enemies don't have more abilities to go along with more stats
>using % as hitchance
thats where you and everyone else is fricking up. stop pretending its fricking xcom. its god damn dice rolls, see why you fricking missed. more then likely rolling low repeatedly and are just crying about rng.
You're both morons. It is hit chance and the dice are accurate.
You will miss two 95% hits in row all the time because that's how rng actually works. There are a million morons like you that play poker for decades and still stubbornly refuse to learn while yelling about how everything is rigged.
The % is still accurate, it's just using d20's for the check. As long as there's no hidden bullshit changing the results (like Karmic Dice), there's no difference between 1/20 and 5% odds.
It's embarrassing how much people misunderstand other types of pseudorandom.
Karmic dice just ensures a more even distribution of dice rolls. They don't fudge dice towards success/fail, they instead fudge dice to be less likely to have 1/8000 streaks and more likely to be evenly distributed.
Every number is rolled just as often, so AC is still as useful as ever.

Anon, it was tested, and you get up to 400% more damage with karmic dice than without it dependeing on your AC
there is no piece of gear that could even be conceived of, let alone actually programmed into the video game, that would make it worth keeping her around. easily the worst character in the last 10 years of gaming.
I don't think I ever got a single piece of gear in this game that ever felt all that impactful. I know there's some Monk and Warlock builds that specific pieces are important for, but for me I never needed any help when spamming maximized dual cast Chain Lightning.
characters that have no business being companions: >Halsin >Jaehira >Minsc if he was going to be act 3 only
Really sort of crazy that only the evil edgelords get a paladin, and that Helia got cut entirely. Dark urge also really should have been his own dude, I don't think splitting dark urge and Tav works so well with Larian's origin system and they either should have made him his own dude for the dragonfrickers and the I can fix him crowd, or they should have doubled down on Dark Tav being the defaulf
We needed a gruff dorf companion, or even better, a Regill.
Someone to balance out how supportive everyone else is (Laezel mellows out too much, Astarion doesn't really snark AT you).
>shart gets told by a god to kill a lady >the lady knows something about sharts past >ask her if she's sure >she throws the spear and gets tortured for it
This "there's no time to explain" shit is so bad
It's even better when you have low approval, apparently Shart just dies of cringe from Shar's cancer. DnD gods are made to be murdered savagely but DND writers and wizards would never let us
No I'm saying it's stupid you can't talk to her, and the second you say "you sure about that?" shart who was a zealot beforehand now betrays her goddess
>I am not personally experiencing a bell curve! This must mean its all fake!
Erry time. I remember when the first firaxis xcom came out and the devs had to let people down gently and tell them they actually shifted your hit chance -upwards- from stated.
This quest was fricking hilarious for all the wrong reasons >"I JUST WANT A ROOF OVER OUR HEAD THIS MANSION'S HUGE LOOK" >"BRO JUST TAKE US TOTAL STRANGERS IN YOU HAVE SPACE THERE'S NOWHERE ELSE WE CAN GO" >there's literally a huge refugee camp just off to the side with plenty of empty tents >but this motherfricker just HAPPENED to want the roof of the massive, cozy mansion >Larian had to make the mansion owner a psychopathic kiddy-exploder just to try to justify this absolute fricking moron as being right
moron then had the gall to talk back to me at the end of it all. Killed him and his family, fell, and paid the 1k gold tax to regain my oath quite happily.
>get to the assault on moonrise >jaheira is not part of my party this time, so she joins me as an NPC hanger-on >gets killed during the fight >she just straight up fricking eats shit and dies unceremoniously, cant even revivify her
that was the funniest shit
one of the best feelings in the game tbh
just finished killing the avatar of myrkhul, he was heemed in literally two turns by multiple crit divine smites in a row. his health bar got chunked hard
Didn't miss out much, the only good rewards for keeping her around are interactions with her family and recruiting Minsc, even then it's a bit overrated. Really don't get what was going through Larian's head by adding those two, or kneecapping Jaehira's build
>be paladin >prematurely ejaculate all spellslots in the first fight and need rest before the group has even used up the two short rests >or keep hitting for 1d12 physical damage with the weapon and generally being a useless piece of shit
I guess you can play a party of all premature ejaculator classes, and just fight, rest, fight, rest, fight, rest.... if you are a loser.
Dragonborns not being recruitable is a bit more understandable, because of how late of an add they were and being snowflake tier, but they have some good half-orc characters that they just didn't want us to use I guess. Honestly though, the biggest disappointment was neither Ketheric nor Aylin were recruitable. But I would have killed for my Black person Balthazar
Technically two are closer to human than elf, but I agree Halsin and Jaehira were too much as it is. The game basically has no dwarves though but if there was a dwarf I would have liked to recruit it would be the ship guy from act 3, what an absolute bro all things considered
Larian Black folk complain about "muh white human male fighter" people create, but look at the actual characters you can hire: >Astarion (white male) >Shadowheart (white) >Gale (white male) >Lae'zel (white - let's not pretend she's not, game has clearly other races like dwarves and drows with asian/black facial features, so Lae'zel is white) >Wyll (black) >Karlach (white - refer to Lae'zel) >Halsin (white) >Minthara (white - refer to Lae'zel and as mentioned, there are blatant Asian and Black drows in this game) >Minsc (white) >Jaheira (white)
So much for fricking diversity lmao. Fricking hypocrites.
Lae'zel and Karlach are voiced by white actresses. Judging how VA's literally step down so that a Black can play characters like fricking Ramlethal from GG, i'd say it's a clear indication they are white-coded or whatever the fricking term is.
I guess Larian knew that if they packed their main cast with Black folks, then the game would have bombed hard. Remember how they discarded the whole "Karlach but with a Black face" idea? Yeah
Really if not for the obnoxious sex and everyone being a cuck homosexual, this game would be just a typical normal 5e DnD campaign but with le quirky reddit dialogue.
i am sure a lv1 character fought their way through the legions of avernus for years. any dm who has half a brain would call that shit out

you fricking dipshit they explained in game that the tadpole ruined everyone's previous power levels.
Wyl mentions he lost most of the spells he was known for. Was a legendary hero for a reason.
Karlach was a genuine slayer in hell
Astarion is 200 years old and obviously knows more
Laezel should be a level 5 fighter at least.
Theres nothing wrong with lowering their levels, you're just moronic and didn't pay attention

Wyll and Gale definitely suffered a lot from the rewrite, as they used to be more on the scale of all the other OCs with just "dude's with potential that dun fricked up" instead of level 15+ gigachad that had no right getting tadpolled. Karlach is at least understandable as honestly the blood war has variable scale between killing trash and actual demons, + she got tadpoled out of nowhere. Astarion and Lae'zel could be level 1 just fine

then why are other true souls unaffected? z’rell?

They've certainly been tardpilled longer than you at the very least, the only character that didn't just get the tadpole was Durge and his brain was turned into cheese by Orin. Z'rell at the very least has been doing that for about as long as Ketheric, so longer than Durge and it seems like most of the "true souls" are given more power by the netherbrain in exchange for blind servitude

Fricking moron, they are literal mindless servants to the Absolute.
>Larian Black folk complain about "muh white human male fighter"
They complained about it because they weren't getting enough testing done for everything except human males. Them being most popular class wouldnt excuse tiefling horns or tails disappearing with a helmet or clipping through it in a shit way.
Nah the truth is that they were trying to force people to play anything other than white because they are under the influence of George Soros and Hilary Clinton.
Maybe Viconia just got aged up by Shar's "tests"
God knows why anyone would worship Shar, it honestly seems like half of the people in Faerun have an IQ below 100. Not surprising most clerics have an int of 8

I can only see this being possible if you did the main quest only for both of them, act 1 alone has like 3-4 optional dungeons, and the underdark, creche, and grymforge together is closer to double the content of the overland area of act 1
I probably lost a lot of stuff in act 1 but I checked everything in act 2, saw the whole shadowlands, the entire Shar's temple, no idea where's all the content you guys talk about.
Act 2 is pretty much JUST shadowlands and Shar temple
Meanwhile act 1 has the underdark(which you can access from a hidden room in the Selune temple/goblin camp), the wilderness which also has auntie Ethel's quest chain, the zhentarim area, grymforge, the wizard tower, the githyanke creche and the mountain pass
On top of the main quest with the druids and the tieflings. Act 2 is so barren of content and railroaded by comparison that I just can't see how you managed to take longer than act 1
Not him and did spend more time in act 1 but spent way more time than what we should have in act 2 by going burn grove path<lyre for the spider<and leaving the huge bubble area for almost last forcing us to use the lamp the whole time essentially
I liked both, act 2 has maybe my favorite cutscenes in any video game, but it isn't that long either way. Act 1 was pretty good, certainly felt the most polished
It's because act 1 features a diverse selection of areas. Act 2 is just boring because it's equal in length and is just the evil area with boring visuals that wear on you after a while. By the end of the shar temple I was tapped out and wanted to see the sun again. Doesn't help that there's literally next to no NPCs to talk to and it's just mindless combat against mindless mobs.
I just finished the House of Grief in Act 3. Am I understanding correctly that the primary reason for the Sharrans' search for the artifact is that Shar was getting butthurt that some of the people she would have gaslit into worshiping her got scooped up by the cult of the Absolute instead?
Yes except I'm pretty sure this was all Viconia doing it (for those reasons) without Shar even giving the order. I recall her saying something like that.
What build are you thinking? I wanted to do demon bloodrager but I'm stalling from how boring act 1 is and meeting up with everyone, I wish there were a quick start at chapter 3 option without mods
i'm playing it for the first time now. the intro tutorial dungeon is insanely boring and almost filtered me but i'm into the game now. i went with lann rather than wenduag (he seems based).
Some arrows are really powerful. Some are useful for surface effects early on if you don't have another source. But you're not wrong in that they are totally optional.
The slaying arrows are incredibly strong, but yeah you won't need to ever use them. They're cool but they make more sense in divinity where you can use an arrow to combo with other characters or yourself
How the everloving frick am I supposed to keep Hope alive in the Raphael fight?
Position her better, Raphael will almost never target hope unless it's an AoE spell

I was losing my mind since my oath would break everytime I long rested for some reason. turns out one of the guards I knocked out during the fight was also a witness to the crimes I committed or something? so his unconscious body would disappear after long resting and that counted as a kill or whatever. had to return to the darkforge and kill him for good to preserve my oath lol
Oh hey there I'm gonna steal your shit and talk back to your band of heavily armed mercenaries and you can't do shit about it, the game won't even recognize it if you attack me. Now that's role playing!
Why do bratty kids always get away with everything in RPGs? Do devs have some sort of stockholm syndrome for their high school bullies or were they autistic edgelords themselves who wish they never got their comeuppance?
>first playthrough happen to proc triggers that make her like me >no issues >second playthrough go to Mol first >Biggest Black person child in the world >Im going to ruin your reputation >HOW DARE YOU GRAB THE THIEF'S ARM >Sends kid off to get raped by harpies >No option to atleast punish her
I didn't bother savescumming, what are they gonna do if you get caught, attack? I just looted what I could and beat the shit out of them until they ran away.

I'm somewhat surprised at how thieving kids and bratty kids just get total immunity from their consequences, like Woljif in wrath has this problem too where the most dickish c**ts and thieving trash are just allowed to talk to you with no regards for their safety and you kind of just have to take it. Surprising that the only way to punish Mol is by severely handicapping yourself, purposely losing out on quests, and siding with the goblins. Wrath also has the thiefling people, which are honestly deserving of kill on sight for most of them even if Woljif is one of the more agreeable ones
At least you can actually kill the brats this time I guess. But it isn't any different than murderhobo'ing any other NPC with absolutely no payoff. I want to make them regret being bratty pissbabies towards a dangerous adult, something those games never let you do for whatever reason.
Goblin children can always be killed. The Tiefling children automatically recover when their health drops to zero.

Just let the goblins kill them
They get lined up and slaughtered and you can loot Mol's corpse
Not sure if you can pick it up and carry it around with you because I didn't think to do that

If you let the goblino's kill the hecking Tieflings kids you miss out on some inspirations, quests, and good items though, would only consider it on a hardcore evil maxed campaign
Goblin children can always be killed. The Tiefling children automatically recover when their health drops to zero.
Yeah I meant Mol's gang of future homeless and bums, goblin kids die when they're killed at least. Somehow even the annoying one manages to be less annoying than Mol though
>You can brutalize and kill every golbin child you come across for whatever reason you fancy >Forced to eat shit from the tiefling c**t child that sells her soul to Raphael
>Forced to eat shit from the tiefling c**t child that sells her soul to Raphael
If you side with Minthy against the Grove, the goblins kill all the children. They also make comments like "goblin children fight back more" and so on.
so what happens after you wipe out the grove for her? do you unlock any secret evil route or something?
or is your "reward" her sex scene and having her as a companion?
Okay good, I wanted to make a female drow warlock dark urge but I was thinking that half-drow would be the better choice since they inherit shield proficiency and pubic hair from their human half
>act 3 takes so long (I'm not complaining) that I forget about all the shit about the homosexual gnomes being captured or whatever >do quest for the mermaid people, end up finding submarine. Either completely forget the plot about the iron temple, or hadn't encountered it. >Lore dump ensures about shit I have no context for, suddenly this place is exploding, no idea why, no idea who these gnome Black folk are who are about to drown >Leave, everyone dies, gay squid dies, come to surface, mermaids are mad because I refude to kill my dwarven bro >Kill mermaids, dwarf dies in battle. Everyone dead and I barely understand what just happened
I like act 3, but the pacing isn't very good at times. Typing this reminded me of at act 2, as I was leaving the shadowlands, the camera panned to Halsin who was sulking and the narrator said something about how he'll never be happy. I have NO idea why, or what that was about.
Minty is a miracle of the universe.
I just completed my 2nd playthrough with dark urge and I must say minthara is a nothing companion she barely has any lines in act3
>I must say minthara is a nothing companion she barely has any lines in act3
What? She arguably has the most lines in Act 3. Everyone else goes mute most of the time if you aren't doing anything related to their quest
I romanced shadowheart on my first playthrough and I don't remember her being this quiet
Lmao what. Ignoring the fact that what you're saying is just flatly false, how would one "arguably" have the most lines? You either do or not.
>He pirated the game and isn't playing the latest patch
are you too moronic to know that you can just install patches on the pirated version like 5 minutes after they are released?
The assumption is that the person pirating is too moronic/lazy to know/do that themselves (which is often true)
If you buy it from GOG you still have to manually patch the game, idiot.
ok? just don't buy it from gog then
i don't use that shit i bought like one humble bundle years and years ago
>Steamdrones are too dumb to install a patch
Wow.
That person is obviously not doing that or he wouldn’t be bringing up a fixed issue.
Best variation on it I've seen.
Good job OP.
Minthara getting captured by Orin again is fricking hilarious.
so you pirated?
Recommend me a character for my Minty run.
Shadowheart origin works best. If you want a custom, Drow warlock girl
Quick question, will Shadowheart change her haircut in Act 3 if you play as her?
The Dark Urge origin is best if you plan on going evil. She's really, really into Bhaalspawn.
And she isn't even your sister!
Dont do lloth drow gloomstalker. Its boring as shit. Drows fine, but play a fun class instead.
More like a ranger problem, although rangers get enough gandy features if you play them more as a martial.iirc they gave shit reactivity though
Hghff moar
thanks for ruining the image for me butthole
N?
except her voice. it IS that offputting
I fing her voice sexy, but different strokes
cursed to put my hands on everything
Best girl and its not even close.
Is she some important character? I just instantly killed her lmao
She is the most important character.
Guess I'll see her on my evil playthrough
Amazing how much better ai art is than ur average "artist". God i love this future.
Her in-game ass is better and you cant change my mind
Irish go and stay go
>strokeposting
I pretty much killed her on sight.
WE WUZ RUNNIN' FOR OUR DICKS'SESES LIVES
I wish we got Zevlor as a companion instead of Halsin.
Sorry anon, the gay furry dev needed a dream fantasy self insert.
Nah, he's entirely on the early access players.
When he broke out of the container in Act 2 and immediately went
>MY MIND IS MINE!!!!
and proceeded to smite instakill a Mindflayer, I was sold. It made me actually giddy, it was a very well acted out moment combined with great chance for him to actually hit and hit that hard.
Zevlor was really cool yeah, kind of wish we got him over Halsin too as a Minty alternative, maybe even a quest to help him regain his pride
I assumed it was either a title or a common name.
is he in Act3. Can't find him anywhere?
no, yet another thing act 3 doesn't deliver on
I only open zevlorposting threads
Shart looks cutest in casual wear.
where git speer
Act 3. Go to the circus and find the djinn. pick pocket his ring, you must do this step. then talk to djinn and spin the wheel. you will be teleported to a dinosaur world, and near the exit portal, you will find the chest containing the spear. save before you do this incase you mess up.
You don't have to pick pocket him. There are other ways to win and piss him off, like through dice rolls.
It's a shame there are no dwarf companions, makes me inclined to play one every time I load up the game. Drow Durge playthrough was fun though.
Bard option is better. Hehe.
You just open trade with him, and you can buy the ring.
It's actually Chult, an aztec dinosaur island. It's a joke off of winning an island vacation I think
>dinosaur world
Bro that's Chult. it's just a bit down past Calimshan.
>Filesize too large
I would post Faerun's map but I'm too lazy.
A blueberry bush in OUR grove??
I really wish the good ranger gear was hats instead of helmets and circlets.
There is literally no downside to doing this. You get a super cool opening for act 2 and a companion that's the most broken class in the game. The githyanki even complement you on murdering the druids real good.
How is Paladin the most broken?
Lay on hands and smite, you can crank the smite autism up even further if you multi, like half your best multi options are gunna include paladin imo. Burst damage is everything in this game.
Smite deals an absolutely moronic amount of damage. 2d8, plus another d8 per additional spell level, on top of your weapon's damage and the spell slot isn't consumed if you miss.
You then build for crit fishing. It's a better version of sneak attack without any requirements.
its not, multiclassed monk is the most broken shit
It's good, but nowhere near broken. Monk is the most broken class in the game and fighter beats a paladin after level 11 as a martial. Paladin is consistently strong throughout the game and a CHA class, which makes it popular. The game is just too easy, so everyone thinks their class is broken and paladin is the most played class.
>There is literally no downside to doing this.
Except for, you know, losing half the side quests in Act 2 because Larian thought it was a good idea to tie so many of them to tieflings from the grove.
it turns out that you can respec anyone into any class for basically free. i know its crazy.
>cop-out
what does this even mean you fricking moron? are you mad now because you didn't even realise you could respec?
its 100 gold play the game holy shit
i wasn't even the same anon, just pointing out how easy and freely available respeccing is a bandaid for companion class diversity
>for free
Doesnt mr bones charges you 2k?
that's the oathbreaker fee anon
Here's a little pro tip for you Anon. You can literally just steal the money back. You fail the check? He doesn't care, just do it again.
Okay I'm so confused, I seem to have a perma bladeward and resistance on frog girl. I know have perma bless on her because of the statue but doesn't anyone know what might be causing the other 2?
One of the later game armors give perm blade ward and resistance on that character.
That is it, I'm a moron, thank bro.
So even if you literally never use a bow, as long as you have this equipped it applies its crit bonus to main hand weapons and spells. Same for the bow that gives heat and cold res.
Paladins become even more broken
Way to go Larian.
Where can I find this
That black female dwarf merchant that is friends with Karlach has it.
Win the jackpot from the Djinn.
This plus sarevok's Helmet and that crit cape and everything dies, I bet there are even more items to make it better also champion subclass
This works for all bows. You get their bonuses, even if you use melee. Ranged character get their shield AC. It's straight up moronic and caused by them making weapon swap a free action.
>Canon! No!
Why was Zevlor screaming about the canon?
>You brought goblins here?! Where is the Druid?
This line is actually foreshadowing the fact that Halsin lies and doesn't show up to the battle until after it is already won.
He seems like a terrible leader and I don't know why people don't point this out in game.
He points it out himself, he feels personally responsible for every single death that happened at Moonrise in the past.
I mean at the grove. The biggest complaint about him is that "he's old".
He has serious Mary sue vibes for how everyone likes him
YOU BROUGHT DAT BOI???
Getting these has to be a glitch right? These are just better than pretty much all weapons in the game.
They don't have any attack roll bonus, so they'd only be as good as you can hit. Also, you would need savage attacker for sure since the damage range is so wide
First i was confused as to why cuz it still has a d8 then i looked it up and it rerolls ALL damage die not just the weapon die? WTF
The highest attack bonus in the game is +3 I think, 4d8 is on average 16 damage
So thing of it as taking a -3 for 16 damage, other than bad RNG on dice it's a better deal than GWF
Crimson Grief is a lot better than this and has a lot of synergy potential as well.
its all cool until they roll out the radiant retorts
Are there deva's in the game? I don't remember seeing any.
Yes, but only in Act 3.
Level 6 - Summon Planar Ally
You can also get attacked by some if you steal from a specific location. That was fun when the fricking curse procced while I was in combat with god damned Gith'yanki.
Was it Servok that had 2 Deva's as allies also for some reason, maybe it was Orin, I cant remember.
>Makoto
Where do you find this fricker in act 2
In the colony, same general area as Mizora.
In the room before Mizora.
WE WAS ROONIN NO CAP
i kept expecting him to actually redeem himself but it was awfully satisfying finally killing him in the middle of baldurs gate in broad daylight and no one gave a shit in the slightest.
>I know I ran from a pack of 5 level 1 goblins but I can totally take your entire party and the immortal assamir
This homie so moronic
>yoo betto protect dat Nightsong...
>shows up dead in camp
What did he expect to happen? moron couldnt take goblins let alone mary sue beings
What are drows? Just purple elves?
They're the descendents of surface elves whose skin was turned dark to reflect the pure malicious evil of their souls.
Oh wait, I guess that's racist now so they're actually all oppressed by muh society
You are a moron. Their society is literally a conservative's wet dream. Racial supremacy and everyone is taught at a young age that Dark Elves are the superior beings.

do I need to cap fps? I am direct should I vulkan?
vulkan
sounds like your CPU is shit.
Run the DX11 exe
required mods
>Working with Shadow Druids
>Working with Shadow Druids who were shadow controlled by the Absolute according to documents in Moonrise
>50 iq morons still say she was le right to be contrarian
Do you know where you are?
You can also get him to go into Gloom Stalker, or have Shadowheart multiclass into it after getting the AoE stealth buff from her domain, to have a stealthy party.
did the tencent schizo give up after he embarrassed himself in the witcher thread?
microsoft cut funds to the pajeet shills
tencent has been really good though, they have been funding good shit, so I am far removed from understanding that anti-china shillgay except for terminal contrarianism which plagues low-test people
He kept trying it on for a few days, but getting ritually humiliated every single time finally buck broke him.
Why does the slayer form suck so much? Totally useless

Its great when you burn out your sorcerer spells. Made me go for minimal resting
>spent 2 hours in the mage tower fight in act 3 trying to keep dame aylin alive
>can't fricking do it, she gets ripped to shreds every time
>eventually just give up and finish the fight
>she just fricking gets up like nothing happened
there again, I guess she IS immortal isn't she...
That would be even more difficult since she take on aggro for free.
Banish elementals and OTK him
>he didnt just kill the mage the first time he met him without bringing Aylin along
I love being a lawful stupid paladin.
>"Yes I have the nightsong."
>"No you may not see her."
>"You are dangerous and evil, prepare to be smited".
Also love "Your God. My Oath. Let's see who prevails."
>Bait his elementals to the balcony.
>Combat is initiated by sending all but 1 off the balcony to their death.
>Barbarian proceeds to maul the guy.
And as a bonus i pissed off Rolan enough to attack me.
The key is to not actually leave the tower when he tells you to retrieve her. Split the party and have everyone take position, send one guy to camp to get her and then go back. It's a much easier fight when you don't start clumped up in one spot getting hammered by AoE bullshit
This is the biggest problem with this game. Some encounters are just ass unless you presetup and pre setup feels really cheaty.
You should see how Pathfinder gays talk. They not only like it, they float about how their system is so shit that it requires you to spend 30 min buffing before every fight, and neglecting their hygiene trying to figure out the most broken multiclassing build. All for a moronic shit game.
JUST DOWNLOAD A MOD THAT DOES ALL THE BUFFING FOR YOU AT ALL TIMES
Proved my point. Frick Pathfinder and frick tabletop.
I treat Baldur's Gate like XCOM.
I agree with the buffing shit, I posted that ironically.
I have to admit I'm a bit confused on how you guys can't instakill the mage dude and then just mop the elemtals easy with the threat gone, maybe EK/wizard is an OP combination but honestly that fight felt really easy for me on tac
>coat drow poison
>3shot him with basic rogue hand crossbow
>saved 2 first two shots and final shot made him sleep
>doesn't matter as that robbed 3/4 of his health
>dies while doing nothing
Come on dude, you'd have so many options by act 3
>saved 2 first two shots and final shot made him sleep
I thought saving on drow poison gives the immune to drow poison status for 2 turns?
I was on 2nd week patch when I used a lot of drow poisons, to my knowledge saving throw will only fail the effect, and you can proc them anyway with 2nd/3rd/4th hit and so on
Only thing that fricked me up was because I went in with all casters minus karlach and would get silenced before i could move.
The second i swapped gale and wyll out for astarion and lae'zel, the fight was easy.
I whispered sweet nothings into his ears while piling smokepowder barrels around him after our first conversation.
Sussur Greatsword to silence his ass, Bear form to taunt the elementals, done.
Sanctuary. They're invincible until you lose concentration or they attack. As long as the caster isn't going immediately before them if you need to keep someone alive it's perfect. But yeah she's immortal bro don't worry about her.
>Hit mage
>He counters with that energy bullshit
>Counter his energy bullshit with psionic damage reaction because his reaction is a spell
>He counters my counter with another reaction because he has an extra reaction (??????????????????????????????????????????)

>Clean up his elementals

That shit really pissed me off
its almost as if Drows are complete irredeemable buttholes
Look anon I don't know shit about drow because I only play white male human.
that's fine, but did they also have to be fricking braindead?
just have them go off on their adventure and then fight us at the forge if we go there
or better yet, hire us to be the meatshield, and then backstab us after we take care of some obstacle at the forge
anything but literally trying to kill us just seconds after saving them
never trust a dr*w
>Free them
>turns out they were all Drzzt chaotic good dual-wield rangers.
Horrifying.
What? The drow never attacked me in my 2 runs.
Is it because of their leader? He always gets killed by the spectator in my runs.
yeah, if the leader is alive, you have a conversation with him, some lore points, blah blah, he realizes he's been stuck for a while, he asks about the forge, you tell him what you know, and then he tries to kill you so you can't go to the forge
>hey thanks for saving me, oh no my stone isn't that bright anymore
>hey pretty stone it's mine now
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT SAY NO TO THE DRUSSY BECAUSE MUH CULTURE
>their leader dies in the fight because of an "accident"

lol
What the frick, I didn't even know this quest was in the game.
I just ended up killing him and one other dude who escaped petrification and then ran around and killed the others while they were statues. Free xp my homie.
Where you got so many fricking barrels?
goblin camp inside that one room roah hangs outside of
barrels are everywhere.
Send to Camp.
I let the leader live but because I was disguised as a female drow he did nothing to me and then I pickpocketed him so I could make the ice staff
Weird as all hell that they made a "secret" weapon to deal more damage to this specify enemy type inspite of you only ever really running into one (two) of them.
that's why it's secret though, it makes perfect sense
>he didn't play a female drow
Not everyone is a troony
why would I play a female when I want to larp as shadowhearts boyfriend
You have a mod to play as Halsin?
The bear guy? I killed him after I sacked the grove
Why aren't you larping as Shadowheart's girlfriend instead?
DAMNIT, I played as a female Drow and I fricking missed this, frick this game
Do it again then, piggy.
Why the "piggy", moron?
>playing as a female
youre not on discord
Nice.
thanks for helping us-NEVER SHOULD HAVE COME HERE!

>still no preggo Minthy
I want a visual baby bump Larian
>I just make up act 1.5 to prove my point
Wait until Act 3, really burned me out. Too much to do, and the city feels overwhelming
I agree with this, I took significant breaks from the game during act 3 because of how draining all the talking was, way too many quests and "RP"
Must have skipped through quite a lot even then, when I ran act 1 after already doing everything a previous run it was still about 25-30 hours for everything with some dialogue skipping, can't imagine doing it so fast without skipping all dialogue or just ignoring content you didn't enjoy the last time
Dialogue, a decent bit yeah, a lot of it is gonna be the same stuff that I heard almost all of read out the first time.
Story wise it is pretty linear though, the entire Thorm family can be skipped and it's basically just
>Inn
>Tower
>Dungeon
>Tower
>doesnt open the gates for adventurers
>orders to open the gates WHEN the goblins arrive, getting kanon killed
Zevlor deserves to get punched
I don't know if its because im playing on tactician, but there is no fricking way in hell the accuracy % of hit is accurate. Not randomly seething I've been playing RNG games all my life, the amount of times I miss six 65~75% in a row or two 90% is ridiculous
Absolutely no way these number are accurate
I save scum if anything above 85% misses
you must be loading up 30 times an hour lol
what a joke. I've been playing poker since I'm 18 years old and now im 32, played xcom and tons of other rng based rpg and I've never seen something even close to that joke.
Those numbers are absolutely not accurate don't let the moronic fanboy tell you otherwise. It's either bg3 is not capable of establishing real numbers or it's because it shows 'normal difficulty' numbers and they did not adjust it for tactician
nta but I got so fed up with it, I kicked it down to easy and let Gale nuke the brain in the end.
The red pill is to play on easy. It can turn fights into facerolls, but I'm also never quick saving. I know I'm going to beat the game, so I'd rather just have the occasional challenge instead of loading over and over because the difficulty is simply a dice roll
>I play on easy because the difficulty is simply a dice roll
What in the DSP?
>miss
Are you missing an attack and then having a complete meltdown? What is going on here I thought you people were just memeing this shit.
>critical miss!
>dice numbers are rigged on pirated copies
bravo, Swen
just missed five 60% in a row
totally normal guys, I totally will hit seven 60% in a row in the future to compensate
Tactician definitely cheats
Missing with 85% chance at advantage is ridiculous
the amount of times I've rolled 4 or less with advantage is ridiculous
do you guys have karmic dice on or off
I turned it off , i am a savescummer
also off.
>all these people struggling with tactician
surely im not the only one playing with +hp and stats for enemies from the tactician mod cause the shit became too easy around lvl 4?
didnt mean to reply to
There's a lot of scrub and/or stupid people
Me as well. It I'm also using it to offset the level 20 mod
You're either doing something wrong or you must have shit luck, I never had such problems during the entirety of my time playing on tac and the only fight I had to reset was Raph because I came unprepared
I dont particularly struggle, its much easier than pillars at path of the damned. Im just saying the rng is inaccurate
>Start Tactician run
>Get to the 3 Intellect Devourers at the cash site
>3 critical misses in a row
>Die
Honestly awful luck, kind of makes me happy that there's no ironman mode in bg3. You get fricked a lot harder here than in other crpgs
Then why cant they adjust numbers to reflect tactician? Im so triggered I think of uninstalling it
I have it off
The thing is it's not supposed to be rigging numbers, youre just supposed to have more variance on both the lucky and unlucky side
I guess ill turn it on since everybody says off might be the issue
My schizo theory is the game has a modulo bias for certain size die. It always seems to hover near the lower end.
yeah i miss way way more than expected and i've rerolled the exact same hit% and tracked it when i got fed up
>using % as hitchance
thats where you and everyone else is fricking up. stop pretending its fricking xcom. its god damn dice rolls, see why you fricking missed. more then likely rolling low repeatedly and are just crying about rng.
Why give a % then? Thats moronic
As long as there's no hidden bullshit changing the results (like Karmic Dice), there's no difference between 1/20 and 5% odds.
>on tactician
this happened to me on balanced
the game is just wack
>he didn't disable karmic dice
you have no one to blame but yourself
>he didn't disable karmic dice
literally the first thing I did when the game started
What does karmic dice even do? I keep seeing people saying to disable it but I was afraid to touch it since it's enabled by default
It's supposed to prevent long losing/winning streaks on the dice by fudging the rolls.
Enables pseudorandom, so you're guaranteed win/lose rolls. Also does that to enemies, making AC useless, since they are guaranteed to hit you.
Anon, it was tested, and you get up to 400% more damage with karmic dice than without it dependeing on your AC
>it was tested
Share the test.

Roughly a 100 roll sample. Practically useless.
100 rolls for each AC karmic/AC non-karmic is pretty goot
It's not that good, but I suppose with such a large effect it does show it reasonably.
Didn't they change this in patch 10, though? When was this document made?
just trust the science, chud
That was only true in the early access build, not in the release version.
its actually 1/8000
Baldur's gate has roughly 175000 players at any given moment.
This means that 1/8000 chance is happening 175000/8000 = 21875 times every moment.
There's 20000 people experiencing that 1/8000 right now.
Definitely randomly seething.
When someone does an analysis of 1000+ rolls I'll start paying attention. Statistically some people are going to see unusual rolls.
If you have played dice games you'll appreciate it more. The number of times I've seen a handful of dice absolutely spike or absolutely whiff man.
There was a dragon in act 1 right? I saw it but completely missed it
yeah by the mountain pass
Dame Aylin's thighs
sold her to the wizard because she's an annoying c**t
The right choice. Until there's a breeding mod for her at least.
Dumb nogger you missed out on a lot of stuff and the best sorc/wizard gear in the entire game
there is no piece of gear that could even be conceived of, let alone actually programmed into the video game, that would make it worth keeping her around. easily the worst character in the last 10 years of gaming.
Damn Dame Atkinson really cucked incels to highs thought unreachable didn't she
not as bad as the english language cucks ESLs
I don't think I ever got a single piece of gear in this game that ever felt all that impactful. I know there's some Monk and Warlock builds that specific pieces are important for, but for me I never needed any help when spamming maximized dual cast Chain Lightning.
Kill Dame Aylin. Become a Dark Justiciar.
characters that have no business being companions:
>Halsin
>Jaehira
>Minsc if he was going to be act 3 only
Really sort of crazy that only the evil edgelords get a paladin, and that Helia got cut entirely.
Someone to balance out how supportive everyone else is (Laezel mellows out too much, Astarion doesn't really snark AT you).
>shart gets told by a god to kill a lady
>the lady knows something about sharts past
>ask her if she's sure
>she throws the spear and gets tortured for it
This "there's no time to explain" shit is so bad
It's even better when you have low approval, apparently Shart just dies of cringe from Shar's cancer. DnD gods are made to be murdered savagely but DND writers and wizards would never let us
I mean, Shar is evil, if you didn't get that by now
No I'm saying it's stupid you can't talk to her, and the second you say "you sure about that?" shart who was a zealot beforehand now betrays her goddess
>I am not personally experiencing a bell curve! This must mean its all fake!
Erry time. I remember when the first firaxis xcom came out and the devs had to let people down gently and tell them they actually shifted your hit chance -upwards- from stated.
I've been tempted once or twice to turn karmic dice back on, namely because the average save roll I've seen enemies hit is 17
I DON'T WANT CHARITY, I WANT TO LIVE IN OTHER'S PROPERTY AGAINST THEIR WILL!
Many such cases of author hypocrisy, something about capitalism bad
LOOK THE HOUSE WAS EMPTIE I HAVE KIDS IT'S COLD OUTSIDE
This quest was fricking hilarious for all the wrong reasons
>"I JUST WANT A ROOF OVER OUR HEAD THIS MANSION'S HUGE LOOK"
>"BRO JUST TAKE US TOTAL STRANGERS IN YOU HAVE SPACE THERE'S NOWHERE ELSE WE CAN GO"
>there's literally a huge refugee camp just off to the side with plenty of empty tents
>but this motherfricker just HAPPENED to want the roof of the massive, cozy mansion
>Larian had to make the mansion owner a psychopathic kiddy-exploder just to try to justify this absolute fricking moron as being right
moron then had the gall to talk back to me at the end of it all. Killed him and his family, fell, and paid the 1k gold tax to regain my oath quite happily.
>paid the 1k gold tax to regain my oath quite happily
Why the frick are you playing a Paladin? lol
Crit smites were fun.
>get to the assault on moonrise
>jaheira is not part of my party this time, so she joins me as an NPC hanger-on
>gets killed during the fight
>she just straight up fricking eats shit and dies unceremoniously, cant even revivify her
that was the funniest shit
one of the best feelings in the game tbh
just finished killing the avatar of myrkhul, he was heemed in literally two turns by multiple crit divine smites in a row. his health bar got chunked hard
Didn't miss out much, the only good rewards for keeping her around are interactions with her family and recruiting Minsc, even then it's a bit overrated. Really don't get what was going through Larian's head by adding those two, or kneecapping Jaehira's build
>be paladin
>prematurely ejaculate all spellslots in the first fight and need rest before the group has even used up the two short rests
>or keep hitting for 1d12 physical damage with the weapon and generally being a useless piece of shit
I guess you can play a party of all premature ejaculator classes, and just fight, rest, fight, rest, fight, rest.... if you are a loser.
>can't bullshit your way to avoid violence
shit Dungeon master would not recommend, forcing you into battle no matter what is bad narrative
FIVE ELFS
FRICKING FIVE ELFS ARE RECRUITABLE
AND NOT A SINGLE DWARF
THIS GAME IS FRICKING SHIT
I am obligated to play a Dwarf every game just to round out the team composition.
>No Dwarves
>No Dragonborn
>No Halflings or Gnomes
>No Half-Orcs
It really is aids
6 including me its elf time baby
Look on the bright side anon at least you can have sex! c'mon look we have sex in our game! SEX!!!
When will they learn?
whats wrong with elves?
they post pictures for ants
better eyes what can they say
Not even fricking that.
Larian Black folk complain about "muh white human male fighter" people create, but look at the actual characters you can hire:
>Astarion (white male)
>Shadowheart (white)
>Gale (white male)
>Lae'zel (white - let's not pretend she's not, game has clearly other races like dwarves and drows with asian/black facial features, so Lae'zel is white)
>Wyll (black)
>Karlach (white - refer to Lae'zel)
>Halsin (white)
>Minthara (white - refer to Lae'zel and as mentioned, there are blatant Asian and Black drows in this game)
>Minsc (white)
>Jaheira (white)
So much for fricking diversity lmao. Fricking hypocrites.
Lae'zel and the rest of the gith are black, karlach is also obviously black.
Lae'zel and Karlach are voiced by white actresses. Judging how VA's literally step down so that a Black can play characters like fricking Ramlethal from GG, i'd say it's a clear indication they are white-coded or whatever the fricking term is.
karlach is the most obviously white female chav ever
elves and half elves are not white
I guess Larian knew that if they packed their main cast with Black folks, then the game would have bombed hard. Remember how they discarded the whole "Karlach but with a Black face" idea? Yeah
Really if not for the obnoxious sex and everyone being a cuck homosexual, this game would be just a typical normal 5e DnD campaign but with le quirky reddit dialogue.
other than the fact that all the companions are lv1 special snowflakes you mean
That's literally what a typical DnD 5e campaign is though?
i am sure a lv1 character fought their way through the legions of avernus for years. any dm who has half a brain would call that shit out
Should i remind you that Halsin is a Lvl 4 ARCHDRUID?
agreed, whoever did the level scaling for bg3 is a grade a moron to be sure
you fricking dipshit they explained in game that the tadpole ruined everyone's previous power levels.
Z'rell at the very least has been doing that for about as long as Ketheric, so longer than Durge and it seems like most of the "true souls" are given more power by the netherbrain in exchange for blind servitude
>unaffected
Fricking moron, they are literal mindless servants to the Absolute.
I'll be real if you took an objective log of the dialogue that goes on in my D&D games they would make Marvel movies look like high art.
The Gith and by extension Githzerai are literally interplanar asians.
Larian dropped the idea of any race being ethnically homogenous, so you have blacks and asians among all of them, including gith.
technically minthara would be a white male, so that's a point for the homosexuals
>Green and red are actually just white
>Larian Black folk complain about "muh white human male fighter"
They complained about it because they weren't getting enough testing done for everything except human males. Them being most popular class wouldnt excuse tiefling horns or tails disappearing with a helmet or clipping through it in a shit way.
what a moronic lie
Nah the truth is that they were trying to force people to play anything other than white because they are under the influence of George Soros and Hilary Clinton.
It's true tho
if you are too dumb to know when something is said as a joke or not then maybe you should kys
Play a dwarf with 3 dwarf mercs and murder every knife ear on your path
>wanted the drussy
>her voice turns me off
It's not fair.
>wanted drussy
>the disgusting face turns me off
>the disgusting voice turns me off
why even breath
Really? Her voice is my favorite thing about her.
This must really get you going
You guys like grandmas or something? She sounds like an old hag
Her face is also very ugly. They also made Viconia extremely ugly too. Is this a fricking bias against Drow?
Maybe Viconia just got aged up by Shar's "tests"
God knows why anyone would worship Shar, it honestly seems like half of the people in Faerun have an IQ below 100. Not surprising most clerics have an int of 8
What decades of Sharran worship due to a hoe
>problem officer?
The Sharran chicks were smoking hot i had to disable lethality so i didn't kill them
>muh I dont like her face
>muh I dont like her voice
Seethe you fricking moron nobody gives a shit about your subjective tastes
>noooo not my hecking disgusting waifu
kek
>noooo you shouldn't like things I don't like noooo
lol you're having a full blown meltdown. I said that she's gross, not that you shouldn't like gross things.
You said literally nothing except she is ugly which is wrong and a lie obviously pic unrelated tho
>pic unrelated tho
Your whole post is unrelated lol
if you say so
I do.
I respect that.
They used this as reference.
I like smokers, I like to smoke. I like old hags, yeah. Blue skin. The whole package. She was tailor made to wrench my heart.
her face is busted but her voice is hot
>not making his own harem of face 3/voice 4 drussy
ngmi
You can't even bang your own tav creations, unless there is a mod I don't know about.
What's her ass taste like?
blue raspberry
Blood
Ritual circle residue
Blueberry muffin with sprinkles
Like Dragonborn wiener
I took like 20 hours to finish act 1, and 30 to nearly finish act 2
I managed to take longer by actually enjoying act 2, act 1 sucks serious ass.
Correct, Shar's only real order was grooming Shart into being an edgelord
Yeah congrats that's the whole story of why and how the artifact came into our possession are you satisfied with this knowledge?
Does she have unique dialogue for drow males?
PLEASE respond
she doesn't look that bad
She looks like a chud
Back to Twitter, sis
Going to play pathfinder WOTR after this
It's a fun game if you ignore the part where it completely falls apart with the horribly shit HoMM3 minigame they tacked on.
What build are you thinking? I wanted to do demon bloodrager but I'm stalling from how boring act 1 is and meeting up with everyone, I wish there were a quick start at chapter 3 option without mods
i'm playing it for the first time now. the intro tutorial dungeon is insanely boring and almost filtered me but i'm into the game now. i went with lann rather than wenduag (he seems based).
>finish the game without using any of the 300000 coatings potions or elemental arrows clogging up my bag
I swear they cant be that useful
arrows/poisons are basically spells for dexgays
Some arrows are really powerful. Some are useful for surface effects early on if you don't have another source. But you're not wrong in that they are totally optional.
The slaying arrows are incredibly strong, but yeah you won't need to ever use them. They're cool but they make more sense in divinity where you can use an arrow to combo with other characters or yourself
Position her better, Raphael will almost never target hope unless it's an AoE spell
How the everloving frick am I supposed to keep Hope alive in the Raphael fight?
You gave her mage armor at least right? AI seems to be programmed to favor easy to hit pray which is usually how I bait them.
DOWN COME THE CLAWS!
NO KITTY, NO, NOOOOOOOOOO
Just keep Gale around and counterspell everything he tries to do. His spells are very low level despite their damage.
use a monk to cheese the fight as any other fight in the game
Should I sign this shit?
Why are you asking us to RP for you? Make a decision based on what your character would make.
Should I sign this shit?
Yes.
my character would ask a Rashemi basket weaving collective what to do
Yes.
Frick no. You can rob that homie for free and then shit on him and his 666 health bar.
Easy cheese as well. Either Hold Monster or Command Halt or Karabasan's Gift from killing the red midget during Orin's quest.
New mocaps hotfixes updates definitive edition when?
2024 homosexual
Yep I beat the game
rookie numbers
After the game crashed the first time on me I started hammering that button every time I did anything.
>play like this
>do a weekly multiplayer session where the host rarely quicksaves
>multiple times have had to just say frick it keep rolling because the most recent save is ages ago
how do people not live in fear of bugs/mistakes/crashes? its fricking best practice in this gaming climate
I'm at 2200+ and just entered lower city
Can high elves be evil?
Least Evil Tiefling in creation.
>spare a coin sir?
>YOU BROUGHT DRU-ACKKKKKK
why do they warn me before going to the mountains? Is it because its act 2 and I cannot go back?
You can still go back for like 99% of act 2
Level speaking, should I do the mountains or go to the underworld first?
Underdark--->Grymforge--->Montain Pass
Let me in, or my wife will bully you.
>i like the taste of shit
I will never understand how sticking your tongue in someone's butthole became popular and how people just share it openly
Your boyfriend needs to wipe his ass properly
i'm not sure if people who talk about eating ass mean that they eat the pussy out from behind or if they actually do as you say.
Its hot tho
I can't unseen it
Ascended Astarion turning Karlach into a vampire would actually save her.
lmao
This happened in DC comics one time when Dracula tried to drink Superman's blood to turn him
>I'm powered by sunlight dipshit
>start 2nd playtrough with a friend
>take a pause cos he got some shit to do
>week later he plays with a different group from ds server
>never menthions anything to me
I thought 47 was wearing a fake moustache in the picture.
Kill tieflings.
Source with nude version? I only have the bottom part
>paladin, protector of all natural life and everything that is good
>can't genocide the dark gnomes in the darkforge
I was losing my mind since my oath would break everytime I long rested for some reason. turns out one of the guards I knocked out during the fight was also a witness to the crimes I committed or something? so his unconscious body would disappear after long resting and that counted as a kill or whatever. had to return to the darkforge and kill him for good to preserve my oath lol
So I angered the githyanki queen and just got randomly attacked by some green gays, will this just happen forever now?
you’re railroaded into doing that no matter what
Can I frick our protector living in the artifact?
it’s a mindflayer
yes
Oh hey there I'm gonna steal your shit and talk back to your band of heavily armed mercenaries and you can't do shit about it, the game won't even recognize it if you attack me. Now that's role playing!
Why do bratty kids always get away with everything in RPGs? Do devs have some sort of stockholm syndrome for their high school bullies or were they autistic edgelords themselves who wish they never got their comeuppance?
>first playthrough happen to proc triggers that make her like me
>no issues
>second playthrough go to Mol first
>Biggest Black person child in the world
>Im going to ruin your reputation
>HOW DARE YOU GRAB THE THIEF'S ARM
>Sends kid off to get raped by harpies
>No option to atleast punish her
I savescum and pickpocket the shit out of the kids to teach them a lesson. I hate how this gang of moronic children is done.
You can only kill kids with weird effects or scripting sadly, if you just attack them they run away at super speed
just use magic missile stupid, guaranteed to hit
that's how i killed the goblin children trying to run away after i freed halsin
Goblin children can always be killed. The Tiefling children automatically recover when their health drops to zero.
frick!!!!
Yeah I meant Mol's gang of future homeless and bums, goblin kids die when they're killed at least. Somehow even the annoying one manages to be less annoying than Mol though
>Kill Raphael in hell to free her from her contract
>the little c**t swears revenge against you for robbing her of her patron
Death correction needed.
>You can brutalize and kill every golbin child you come across for whatever reason you fancy
>Forced to eat shit from the tiefling c**t child that sells her soul to Raphael
>Forced to eat shit from the tiefling c**t child that sells her soul to Raphael
If you side with Minthy against the Grove, the goblins kill all the children. They also make comments like "goblin children fight back more" and so on.
I wanted Hope as a companion.
so what happens after you wipe out the grove for her? do you unlock any secret evil route or something?
or is your "reward" her sex scene and having her as a companion?
Yes.
I brought them to your tutorial area yes hope you don't mind bro
5 GOBLINS AND A DOG!? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE
Will Minthara still frick half-elves or is she racist?
she fricks anything
Okay good, I wanted to make a female drow warlock dark urge but I was thinking that half-drow would be the better choice since they inherit shield proficiency and pubic hair from their human half
>loot random corpse in the underdark
>it has a shortsword that does more damage than greatswords
Lmao
Shinobi waifu
Finally my cute wife is a companion.
Wow, you copied my character for my Dark Urge run!
Are there any good reach weapons for a polearm master build? I haven't found any yet.
the permanent advantage polearm in the creche
bard dual weild handcrossbows
Which character has the saddest rejection scene?
500th post belongs to our favorite Black personlipped chad
ACK
>act 3 takes so long (I'm not complaining) that I forget about all the shit about the homosexual gnomes being captured or whatever
>do quest for the mermaid people, end up finding submarine. Either completely forget the plot about the iron temple, or hadn't encountered it.
>Lore dump ensures about shit I have no context for, suddenly this place is exploding, no idea why, no idea who these gnome Black folk are who are about to drown
>Leave, everyone dies, gay squid dies, come to surface, mermaids are mad because I refude to kill my dwarven bro
>Kill mermaids, dwarf dies in battle.
