Top Spin was fricking awesome! This, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 (climbing those damned towers was so much fun) and Project Gotham Racing 2 were some of the best games on the Xbox. And I usually HATE sports games - not racing games though. Those are fun.

it got a PS2 and pc port, I'm not sure how well the pc port would work with modern systems, but you could try emulating the ps2 version.
Unfortunately xemu and cxbx reloaded don't list it as playable if you *really* want to play the xbox version.

the roster is kino. I looked at the roster for the most current tennis game I could find and it's filled with literal whos and ugly girls.
How was Anna Kournikova such a big deal? Not only did she never win a grand slam (doubles doesn't count) she never even made it to a final!
Sure she was nicer to look at than the Gorilliam sisters but I don't think she was really a stand out beauty for a Slavic women
She was pushed because she was a pretty face they could use to market tennis towards people who generally didn't care for it. Same reason Danica Patrick was everywhere in regard to racing for awhile.
She was hot, that's literally it.
No matter how much "people" b***h about it, pretty women is the way market things to those normally not interested in it.

The XSN games were such a weird thing. They only exist because EA refused to use Live for years and somehow Microsoft managed to make better sports games then dropped the entire series once EA agreed to use Live.

LMAO no. The XSN sports division was only around for ONE year. That was the “playmaker” Madden year, which blew their football game out of the water. Tiger Woods ‘04, arguably the greatest golf game, released that year too against XSN’s “links” game. Everyone was playing 2k basketball so both sides lost on that front. Top Spin Tennis was the one and only advantage XSN had because EA didn’t make a tennis game at the time
It is a good tennis game. The career mode stood out. Never really cared for any other tennis games
