>some dumbass exec demands that developers force in PSN DRM >inevitably leads to lower sales >this exec will face zero accountability, if anything he will get a bonus and the developers will get fired
I hate capitalism.
That's fine. Companies like Sony rarely (if ever) listen to their customers, so if "take my ball and go home" is the way they want to interpret current criticism and want to give up that revenue rather than learn from it, so be it.
About the only thing we can do is not buy their shitty products. If they want to make that easier for us, that's great!
My guess. All new Playstation game ports going forward will not show up on these 110+ countries anymore. Not until they have the ability to make PSN accounts. They were attempting to test this with Helldivers 2 and got massive kickback from players and governments due to the game already being out in those regions. Funny that The GoT devs claimed the PC port wouldn't have PSN account connection. Then Sony pulls this and makes it so it wouldn't matter if it did have it or not.
First it was >Sony has no games
Then >Why would anyone want to play these garbage Sony games?
Now >WHAT THE FRICK, WHY CAN'T WE BUY THESE GAMES, THIS IS FRICKING UNFAIR REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
last week it was about helldivers, now its this game. the exact same thing will happen with ff16 and Stellar blade eventually, and you will use the exact same lines when we discuss this again, the denial is too strong
>First it was >Sony has no games
No, it is PS5 has no games. GoT was a PS4 game. But, then again, honesty wouldn't allow you to try to score points on Ganker of all fricking places.
Kinda odd you think they'd be working on a barebones version of PSN regionally disconnected from their main regions just so they can sell these games in other zones, even if it doesn't have a ps store atleast you can let people sign up and play these games.
>What's the excuse?
you have to have a psn account to play the multiplayer, so they are avoiding the helldivers 2 situation by preemptively shutting out all these countries who cant sign up for psn before the game even launches. the lesson they learned from helldivers 2 isnt that psn acount linking is bad, its that forcing it after releasing the game without it is bad.
I don't understand why PSN isn't available in those countries. Even the deepest jungle has access to Steam and Gamepass, yet Sony doesn't want them to access it?
>game would be actually unplayable due to the fact that those countries cannot make a PSN account >people would pay 70 dollar plus tip for a non-functional product >actual scam >this is steam's fault according to snoys
Why does a single player game need a PSN account?
Sony said it'd be optional originally, now they say it's required because some exec is pissed about the Helldivers 2 fiasco.
>Playstation alone isn't enough anymore to meet our expected growth from shareholders >Therefore we will expand to the PC market >But at the same time we will prevent people from buying our game
10/10 and down the line they will shut down some dev studios just like microsoft is doing because they didn't meet their overly ambitious expectations.
why does Sony not deal with all those countries, anyway? some of them I get, like North Korea or China or whatever, but why all the latin american countries?
It costs money. Seriously, every shithole on the planet has local laws and local regulators that you need to appease or they'll, at the very least, seize the profits on your sales in the country.
Oh my God, who fricking cares. Learn to pirate and move on with your "life".
what excuse? people cried about it on internet and now they're just frick it then. you reap what you sow.
>You reap what you sow
Except those people would just have b***hed about that game instead of helldivers because Sony and their network
>some dumbass exec demands that developers force in PSN DRM

It doesn't, you moron. Only multiplayer, which no one cares about in a single player game.

PCgays were going to kill themselves when they were denied of playing Helldivers lmao.

I hope Sony shares Sega's fate.

But isn't sushi a SINGLE player game? Why would it need to have online (I'm obviously being disingenuous)?
It can be pirated in every country on earth thoughever
I don't understand why PSN isn't available in those countries. Even the deepest jungle has access to Steam and Gamepass, yet Sony doesn't want them to access it?
Sony is so fricking stupid it's unreal.
>Jews expelled from 109 countries
>Ghost of Tsushima expelled from 110 countries
Congrats to Sucker Punch on breaking the world record
The israelites fear the samurai yet again.

Why? Because Sony is literally moronic
for the multiplayer part

They're all Middle Eastern and Africa countries.
Which is not racist to ban them from playing their games.
