I played the demo and really enjoyed it.
I never played the real game until a decade later, dropped it pretty quickly and it's been in my backlog ever since

I hated the look, the feel, the UI, the npc animation and voices, everything just felt like an era of shitty 2000s games that I prefer to forget. Maybe there was a cool game underneath it but I got filtered <1 hour.

I'm not wasting time playing games I don't like, even if I've never played them. Simple as.

I liked the jank physics, and liked throwing fire trash cans at random people. You can also murder kids for fun.

I played it when it came out, had it on the OG Xbox. Played it probably 3 times fully through. Got it on PC later and played it twice more.
I don't care what anyone says. I enjoyed it. I replayed it only a couple years back and still liked it with a couple texture mods.

someone should remake this game but made for PC instead of being so consolized, and then people will be ok with it.

    >Actually play it
    >Turns out you like it
    >You feel silly for the rest of your life
Don't do this anons, mindless hate is safer.

Played it through half a dozen times when I was a lad on my Xbox. Loved every second of it. Yes I played DE before it.
I was a little disappointed at the graphics downgrade from what I'd seen in PC Gamer magazines in the year before release but the gameplay was perfect for xbox and it was less confusing if a story than DE1.
I honestly don't understand the hate. Also loved the Kidney thieves music.

I liked it. It was a good looking game and had environment variety. Was futuristic. But only the lazer sword looked good weapons wise. It was a world worth witnessing.

Movement felt like shit, the interface, character, and world design was wayyyy too ugly 2000's sci-fi compared to the mostly grounded look of stuff in the first game. Also short, story was terrible compared to the first.

It's better than the sequels that came after it and better than the Bioshock games (which consolized the formula even more but for some reason gamers ignore this).

I've played it. It's a lite Deus Ex, basically worse in every respect to the previous one, but fundamentally interesting. It has some bad level design at times and feels worse to play than the first one.
It can look nice though and has a nice melancholic and mysterious atmosphere, but I still prefer the more grounded future of 1

I played like 20 minutes and dropped it because it was so jarring how consolized everything felt compared to 1
I wanna give it another chance one of these days but everything I've seen about it looks so lame and dumbed down, it's so blatant it was targeting 13yo fat american xbox kids

Yes, and I like it better than the Jenson games actually. The augs and weapon mods provide good tactical options, and it fixes the skill-bloat problem of DX even if it's too dumbed-down in other areas.
It's a shame that the console limitations had to gimp IW so much and the UI is godawful.
