going from a 60 to a 144hz monitor was the single biggest upgrade i've ever done. it's so much smoother you have to see it for yourself.
1440p is also a massive upgrade as well but
4k really isn't no difference really plus the game will be blurred anyways if you're playing garbage console games since devs don't know how to optimize anymore

I've heard of 500hz monitors coming out which I think at that point is pretty excessive. But I've also never seen one.
But 300hz is definitely the way to go.
My sister has a 144hz laptop and it does look good but after using 300 hz for so long it does look slow.

Unlike you homosexuals I actually play a lot of games and I can assure you 144hz only looks good on side scrollers, since every pixel is moving at the same direction you can really notice how smooth delicious it looks and probably a must have from now for me, for every single other game that isn't side scroller it's meh, specially in fps games, it's basically the same shit and sometimes you may forget if you're playing on 60 or 144hz, for those games 4k is superior since your scope has much more detail. Anyways enjoy being wrong like always while I actually play games the better way :^)
