I pirate old games that can't be bought outside of reseller market. For contemporary stuff it's easier to just buy it than pirate. I used to bend over backward to pirate stuff but being an adult with a well paying job it's not worth the effort.
Only the games I don't care about. From now on that will include smash, mario in all forms but tennis, metroidvanias, monster hunter and all souls shit
I pirate everything and only purchase afterwards if I like the game and want to support the developers.
We live in an age of paid reviewers giving disingenuous reviews of games purely to line their (and the game's company's) pockets and substantial demos are a thing of the past outside of a small handful of exceptions. I'm not paying $70 plus tax for a game I don't even know I'll enjoy only to get spat in the face by the publisher's harsh refund policies. Even indie games are starting to succumb to these disgusting business practices and I'm not having any of it.
So long as the video game (and movie) industry remains as anti-consumer as it is (in other words, never), I will continue acquiring everything for free. You only get my money after you've sufficiently entertained me with good, quality work.
>wageslave all day so you can give your money away and have no time to play games
vs >stay home playing video games for free all day
Nah, I'll stay with the second option.
literally downloaded dolphin for the first time today to get wind waker. i even got mario galaxy 2 working with a PS5 controller. motion controls work and everything. but i mapped the spin attack to a button so it better. everything runs great.
the future is great. anyone who is afraid of piracy is probably a coward in many other ways. its so great, and so easy, and completely impossible to get in trouble for it.
What a day it is when I get to post this masterpiece.
cheers fellow pirategay

Yup, with no plans to slow down. Especially if it's an older game that even the publisher/devs don't give a frick about anymore.
Only the games I don't care about. From now on that will include smash, mario in all forms but tennis, metroidvanias, monster hunter and all souls shit
every chance i get
no. since gog-games went down i don't.
>inb4 but onion
dont care not using it. sad times tho, it was just so easy and direct download is nice.
wdym went down, site works lol it was only down for like two days
wtf!? i never bothered to check again! Thanks anon you just made my day to try some new game
gog-games still up. Just downloaded Seeds of Chaos just last night and holy shit it's fun lmao
nice! thanks anon! Going to also go pirate that now
I don't bother pirating anymore. So few games I want and games I like are made by small teams I actually want to give money to.
Yeah, usally. I don't need to pirate, I'm quite wealthy. I just like doing it.
>I'm quite wealthy
may i have some?
Nah, sorry man.
fug
my 15 years old steam account has dota.
Nah. I'm white.
I pirate everything and only purchase afterwards if I like the game and want to support the developers.

In other words, forever*
Had something completely different typed earlier and never changed this.
Just bought stardew valley and musedash after pirating them
I only pirate games that are no longer available for purchase or games that don't deserve my money.
>looks at my skin
you tell me.
fitgirl + dodi 4 lyfe
Speaking of piracy, is that new Hotwheels game any good?
No, I exclusively play autistic indie games that I legally purchase for <$10 and then play for 300 hours each.
I don't pirate games, i just download the free version from piratebay.
Happy Wigger Wednesday everyone!
piracy serves no purpose. if a game isn't worth my money, then it isn't worth my time.
How would you know that before playing it?
You can refund games on steam, you know that?
Yes, if you play less than 2 hours
2 hours is plenty of time to know if the game is worth playing.
No it's not and you don't believe that either. Stop making disingenuous arguments.
It's not going to turn into a different game after 2 hours.
Again, disingenuous argument.
Free entertainment>paid entertainment
nothing is worth my money
ITT: broke people and slavs
Get a job.

So let me get it, you run programs made by explicitly and openly unethical hackers, and expect not to get a virus? How does that work?
I believe in the goodness of people
The most based post on this board. Stay based, fren. Amen.
But the cracker demonstrated they're not good by illegally modifying and distributing a cracked game. Thats the point.
>illegally modifying and distributing a cracked game
Oy vey
Shalom
that's a good point. this is going to take some serious consideration
>never spend money on games so my bank account info isn't anywhere to be found
oh no, the hackers are going to read my browsing history...
The virus meme hasn't been relevant for a decade
>If i call it a meme it will go away
by doing this for over ten years and never getting a virus despite having essentially no virus protection.
stop being a gay baby
I kinda want to make an arcade
which collection of roms is the most complete? especially with late arcade games that no one played in the west.
It's morally ok to pirate Nintendo games.
I'm going to continue to pirate.
I'm not going to seed anything either.
Simple as.
Mostly just abandonware, honestly.
If you can, pay for the game, then back it up so nobody can take it from you. If you can't buy it, by all means pirate that shit.
I pirate/emulate everything but I won't make fun of someone for paying
Are you that poor or just russian?
yeah
My condolences.
waiting for the Thousand Year Door leak.
They'll have to make something worth pirating first
Nintendo is FORCING me to pirate the TTYD remake. It'll run at 30 FPS on Switch and 60+ FPS on PC. Why is it like this?
Don't need to.
I pirate everything. As I tend to uninstall the games after a day of playing. If I play a game longer than 2 days I purchase otherwise I don't.
