IVs need to be removed from the game. If all Pokemon automatically behaved as if they had 31 IVs this would not be an issue.

confusion was nerfed to 33% for self hit in gen 7 and foul play is niche. when you're building teams on showdown do you always set your special attacker's ATK IV to 0? I don't see anyone ever do it
If you don't have any physical attacks, showdown automatically sets your atk at 0
foul play needs to be removed too
I would rather have a permanent set amount that punishes a little bit of base attack than base attack + micro managing the 0 attack IV. And the only way to mitigate attack penalty, is to use a - attack nature.
