Nah m8, other anon is right. If they would pay me a good income and I had to find collectibles full time, I wouldnt do it.
Not even as a job, anon. Not even as a job
Don't think I've ever gotten every achievement on a game nor have I ever once in my life cared. Even games I've replayed countless times and have effectively done everything, where I could simply go 5 minutes out of my way to get that last achievement, I couldn't care less.
Why would I waste my time completing some boring side quests and collecting dozens of some stupid collectibles? I play the game until I stop having fun.
Depends on the game and how much effort is involved in 100% it. Examples:
Potato Flowers in Full Bloom involves killing all bosses, finding a few secret walls and crafting 4 items on each character. Nothing bad, can be done in one play through of ~20 hours and you'll do most, if not all, naturally.
Flipside of that, Star Ocean 3 involves moronic shit like 500,000 battles which is just grindy. You're probably looking at around 250 hours on that part alone
Exactly. If "100%ing the game" means grinding for some number to go up several hours longer than the game actually lasts, then it's time to move on. Those kinds of achievements are for the hardcore fans who just want a reason to keep playing. They're not a reason to keep playing in and of itself.
You talkin' to me?
Cuz I just happen to own both and I have dropped both, even deleted prototype 2, what an awful fricking game and destroy all human is barely a game
I have never platinumed a game in my life, including games I have played for thousands of hours.
I disable all achievement/trophy notifications, nor do I even look up what the requirements are.
People who chase trophies are sick.
I only complete games I absolutely love. And Assassin Creed 3 because I had nothing else to play on PS3 at the time. I fricking hate that game. There is honestly nothing positive I can say about that game. One of the things liked most about Assassins creed games was parkouring around the city. So having sparsely populated towns of early america was the last thing I needed or wanted from that from that franchise. It was a very clear sign the franchise was heading in the wrong direction. I was actually really nervous that AC4 was going to fricking terrible because I hated boat sections in 3 so much.
100%ing games is a fool's errand
Not if you like it?
What if I like fricking your mouth
You can try but you won't like it
Not that guy but I prefer to read this as self deprecating instead of a threat
XD
I like games so much I focus on just playing them and having fun instead of finding 100 collectibles for no reason
How does 100 percent completing a game translate to not having fun or not just playing them ? Why are you so autistic about this?
>look around the map for 100 shiny shoelaces that do nothing but give you a heckin cool achievment
>fun

There are plenty of games you'll naturally get all the achievements just by playing. Those are basically the only games I've 100% on.
like I doubt anyone would 100% civ V, nvm 50%
Only if the achievements aren't bullshit
I've got some done
nah got shit to do
Don't think I've ever gotten every achievement on a game nor have I ever once in my life cared. Even games I've replayed countless times and have effectively done everything, where I could simply go 5 minutes out of my way to get that last achievement, I couldn't care less.
Why would I grind the parts of the game I don't like to make funny number go up?
I'll do whatever the game has to offer until I get bored of it
Achievements are fricking meaningless
Why would I waste my time completing some boring side quests and collecting dozens of some stupid collectibles? I play the game until I stop having fun.
Okay so u dont play side wuests on Skyrim got it. And you dont collect power ups in Black Ops Zombies.
>Okay so u dont play side wuests on Skyrim got it. And you dont collect power ups in Black Ops Zombies.
do games that are fun to 100% even exist?
Yea Prototype 2 is fun.
MGS games
Resident Evil games
There's a lot of games that need another playthrough. I'll complete those when I want to play again.

i dont consider achievements part of 100 percenting a game

I do them to make my profile looks nice
I 100% all my games but after completing the whole Yakuza series 1-6, I will filter games if they add a bunch of grind shit.
I have at least 50 games that all I would have to do is play it for a few hours and I would unlock the plat, I don't wanna...Feels like work...
