though, if you want to see how BADLY it can get, try putting it up for sale on the steam market, I placed a knife there and went off for vacation for a week, once I came back home my entire profile was filled with bot comments, got dozens of friend requests and they even spammed the comments of completely unrelated videogame screenshots, it was crazy
