A diversified tactic game where you have to send commands to your friend over the phone for a battle and who will then beam the results back to your computer and it'll display as text on your screen
You have to individually control all 10 of your fingers and have to grab more and more complex objects. Not VR, no special controller, you have to use a regular controller or keyboard.
A weapon smithing game that requires you to tailor make each item to fit an adventurer's needs. Eventually you learn magic and enchant the weapons for better effects. Also requires a bit of rhythm skill with hammer strokes made at the correct times.
I dunno, maybe a game where you float around in constant low gravity and just kinda bounce around and you need to grab objects and bounce them around too to frick with your pathing to get where you need to go
So you would be viewing the game from the perspective of a character you are not playing as. Like an enemy or a bystander. Weird idea, could probably carry a short game
Time Defend genre, sure it could be another flavor of survival but i view it the same way as how crackhead NES Tetris players discovered that you can avoid kill screens to get a rebirth (aka going from level 256 to level 0) and avoid the game's demise as it gradually gets crazier.
real time mercenary/military manager >you control every aspect a few units/squads, gear, loadout, vehicules etc >you queue as their manager >real players queue as the soldiers of your squads >same thing for the enemy team >you have acces to a map of all the battlefield you must guide and order them into victory (wipe the other team, capture objective etc) >you can assits them by using your manager ressources to pay for radars, drones, air support, artillery etc depending of your build
Strategy cooking game >you work as a ration chef, feeding your hungry frontline troops >you can't control any troops directly but your recipes influence how they fight >different ingredients give them access to new abilities and can be unlocked by conquering areas and combining existing ingredients sort of like Doodle God >while there are nutritional targets you are recommended to reach, it's your call how to manage each ration >optional quest line where you are egged on by a not-CIA to include a secret performance enhancing drug in the rations, but it causes weird side effects you also have to manage
I think that an action game with either no UI or a very minimalistic UI that has one or two "camera" buttons that just change to different camera positions would manage to provide a true "movie game" and not some sort of shitty amalgamation of both mediums.
movie games will never be good because the best course of action for all of them is to watch a lets play, speedrun or a compilation of only the important cutscenes in YouTube. This is why I will never but a movie game, they are not worth it.
what I am proposing is something like DMC, a fixed-camera action game, but the game gives you a couple of camera-related buttons and some mechanical reason to actually switch camera angles every now and then.
you know how in viewtiful joe you can camera techniques to impact combos and stuff? I'm thinking something like that but with a more self-serious, cinematic presentation instead of the fourth wall breaking approach that game takes.
+ 3d metroidvania overworld movement with spells like float to decend slowly, or dragoon's jump ability to jump super high, etc and level design like that of banjo-tooie that is interconnected but gatekept by abilities
tactics battle 3-6 homies in a row would start if you get detected by an enemy in the overworld and stay in its aggro range for 3-4 seconds.
VR multiplayer/co-op tank simulator
you and two of your friends play the roles of different crewmen: one drives, one shoots and one commands the other two morons
tank crews can be managed by 2 homies now if the tank is modern enough, the gunner at the top aint needed these days u can aim the machine gun inside. Look at the Merkava 5th edition. rn is the israelites that got the most advanced tank.
The israelites have *one* of the most advanced tanks, yes, if weirdly designed, but I'm talking about the turret gunner aiming the big gun not the piddly machine gun at the top.
The loader dlc will come later because no one wants to play as the guy moving ammunition back and forth, in many cases he can't even look out the tank.
AMONG US WITH GUNS AND POKEMON, BASICALLY POKEMON X AMONG US. THIS IS THE TRILLION DOLLAR GAME IDEA, USE IT AS YOU WILL, WE ALL KNOW IT'D WORK. PALWORLD WAS A MASSIVE SUCCESS AND THAT SHIT WAS JUST MINECRAFT X POKEMON.
