OP didn't get filtered
good luck bro
Ikr, as soon as I saw the dreadful elden ring footage I bought dragon's dogma on steam and I've been playing it for a bit now, really enjoying it tbh, why didn't Ganker tell me about it? All the wasted years... Welp at least I can still go back to dark souls 2.
>t. Former fromdrone of 10 years
Frick off bruv, don't shoehorn "topic of the day" in any thread. I've enjoyed every fromsoft game I've ever played
Yeah I agree that 2 is gonna be rad if MHW is any indication of a franchise's evolution
based btfo normie posters. op isn't a gay for once. What vocation are you running breh?
You already know brah
based
give assassin a try sometime when you get a little bored of arc of frickyouliverance, that one's a blast to play
scratch that, try them all. everything except basic b***h mage is fun as hell
Is that fighter mage hybrid any good? I want some sick ass weapon effects on my next run
I refuse, I've had way too much fun for the 10€ I spent on it
Magick Knight is fun as frick, Magick Cannon is hilarious when you get everything you need for it
if MHW is any indication of what capcom will do with DD2 then id rather not have it. casualized, westernized piece of shit game and before you say anything see pic rel
>westernized
DD is already western fantasy
Your screenshot is admirable but I'll have to disagree. I've been playing since MH1 and Freedom 1, MH's casual pandering started with Tri. The last "pure" MH title is FU, still my favorite, but World was a much needed upgrade and one of my favorite games of all time, even if it was way easier than FU. Iceborne was the cherry on top
how is DS2 better then the other 2? I only played bloodborne
Its a personal thing but the sense of adventure wasn't present for me in DS3, I only felt that way in DS1 and DS2
Maybe you were burnt out at this point.
It’s not. I’m waiting for the sequel to actualize all the amazing concepts this game has.
It’s too jank.
Jank is such a non-word.
DD2 WHEN
enjoy your jank bro, it's a fun time
and remember
they're masterworks all you can't go wrong
I know I'm currently doing the post Dragon everfall, I liked the tower of rebirth feel but an eternal dungeon is pretty fun ngl
Yeah the post Dragon Everfall dungeon is one of the best parties of the game, sometimes the lay out can get repetitive but the enemies you fight are exciting and only sometimes frustrating (but in a good way)
The first time I got fricked up by hellhounds was something else.
Yeah the gank is real. Also unrelated but the Everfall is one of the best looking parts so far, I'm playing it on a 4k HDR tv and it looks fricking amazing for a 2012 game
Everfall blew my mind and made me realize how kino the game is, then BBI was the cherry on top, the amazing thing is that even if you play in other order it still makes sense and is an awesome experience
not that guy but wdym by other order?
You can start BBI pretty much any point after reaching Gran Soren (iirc) but because of how tough it is / how broken it'll make you once you can clear it, most people save it until they're near end game or Post-Dragon.
right, didnt see a point to skipping the everfal given how kino it is. Kinda wish it remained pertinent to run in the very late game. Not that bbi is terrible but i loved the everfall formula.
The best part of everfall and grigori fight is that the entire game leads to them, its a literal 40 story hour leading up to that moment
>Everfall blew my mind and made me realize how kino the game is
I already loved the Everfall because of that op Ogre in the early missions, it being a huge Tower of Rebirth reference and because I'm a sucker for "dark ruins lying beneath the new city" trope. Then I got to the post Dragon Everfall today and the kino hit. The pawns walking aimlessly and the whole atmosphere hits really hard in what a newbie would assume to just be an easy to understand party mechanic
havent played in a long time but i wanna do magick archer. How long do i have to play sorcerer before i can be in a good enough standing to play MA to endgame?
Never. Leveling in specific vocations for stat gains is moronic.
did sorcerer for 1-10, warrior to 30, now im doing assassin to like ~45 and then imma go sorcerer for a maybe a good 20 and then magick archer for the rest. It's kinda fun cause it lets you unlock all the passives and keeps things interesting anyway.
You cant compliment or like a videogame.
a thread wont survive for long if you do that anon.
you must be argumentative and be low effort.
I don't even know if I want capcom to fix this shit in DD2 tbh
eh, they kinda "learned"
>First one jumps, a mistake because gets KO
>Second one jumps, a safer place that doesn't get it KO, tries getting the first one to you for getting it back, finds no path
>Third one jumps at a safe place
the player just stand there and could easily reach them in a complete safe place, even sliding
Please Capcom, don't fix this
this
if i can't be a tard wrangler for a party of excitable little morons, i don't want to play at all
beautiful
Yeah, Everfall does become pretty trivial once you've done some hard time in Bitterblack so it's a good idea to just focus on that. Atmosphere's a lot better imo, it really feels like you're diving into the unknown the first time you play.
THE WIND WAS PUSHING THEM
I am too much of a Soulsgay to get used to such controls again
Nioh ruined slow ass souls for me but I can still play DD just fine.
How does you main pawn look like Ganker?
I tried to like it but the game crashed constantly and it felt like I didn't have a direction really. The game crashing on me really drained all the motivation I had to continue though.
Eh, not really.
>no dodge or cancel for half of builds
>only 3 skill slots per weapon
>MMO-tier charge-up skills
>charge up skills take forever to charge
>most skills are useless, either because of the long charge or shit AOE (no lock on) or no DPS
>so you use maybe 2 good ones the whole playthrough
>constantly keep fighting air thanks to no lock-on
>Fighting is either you deal damage and he can't do anything or you get damaged and can't do anything - thanks to no cancel, no dodge, and useless shields
>pure magic builds are tedious and unviable thanks to every spell having to charge up for 4 seconds
>the much memed cooperation between the party doesn't work, pawns won't give you enchantments half the time
>no enemy variety
>healing pauses the action, no fast select
I could go on, that's just combat. The stamina and weight system is shit, fast travel is shit, sodequests are garbage, plot is nonexistent with main quests that feel like they have nothing to do with each other, world is empty and really boring (green forests everywhere), characters are underused, etc.
Really, there's not much to like about the game. It doesn't do anything well, or different.
>pure magic builds are unviable
is this homie serious?
>no dodge or cancel for half of builds
True. Though Fighter and Warrior do get invulnerability moves. Mages get fricked though, but they get a broken spell in later levels
>only 3 skill slots per weapon
For Primary and secondary, unless you're a magic user then you get 6. Only Warrior is gimped with 3 total
>most skills are useless
They're situational and can bring variety to playstyles. But some are better at just doing straight damage
>constantly keep fighting air thanks to no lock-on
Magic gets lock-on. Bows need to aim, however. And melee has to do it the ol' fashioned way. Kind of getting some of it's Monster Hunter DNA here
>Fighting is either you deal damage and he can't do anything or you get damaged and can't do anything - thanks to no cancel, no dodge, and useless shields
Depends on the enemy. Wyverns are a game similar to MH again where you fight around it's moveset until a wide opening from attacking it's heart sends it reeling on the ground
>pure magic builds are tedious and unviable
In the beginning, but magic gets busted later on. Especially if you minmax for it. Holy Focused Bolt is busted
>pawns won't give you enchantments half the time
Use Pawn controls and then they will. But their spell can be interrupted depending on their knowledge and training
>no enemy variety
I'll give you that
>healing pauses the action, no fast select
This is fixed in the Switch edition. But I suppose the downside to healing in combat is ruining the flow. Attempt to better your encounters so the combat doesn't get ruined
>filtered
>unneeded and adds class diversity
>6 skills for every class that isn't Warrior
>charge up and payoff instead of everything being twitchy bullshit
>have to actually aim with most classes that aren't Magick users
>decent build variety
>"magick builds being unviable" lmao
>pawns literally learn from you and can have their AI adjusted
imagine getting this FILTERED holy shit
>fight big bad dragon
>world is still fricked
>then you drop down a hole to do a boss rush
>then you defeat the arisen that came before you
>then you become god
>then you have a nice day
>and your pawn becomes you and fricks your waifu-husbando
Can somebody explain my brainlet self what the frick was the plot of Dragon's Dogma? Heard from some Ganker anon that it was about Nietzscheism.
>obsessive compulsively pick up every grass I see
>inventory constantly weighed down by hundreds of healing items that I barely use
Anybody else have this problem?
Combine them with an item and make them better grass
When you're at an inn, deposit some of it
Give plenty to your pawns so they can heal whenever they please
>load pawns down with dozens of high tier healing items
>they stand in the poison swamp and eat them all
Just teach them not to do it bro
no, I dump everything whenever I go to town
Should I get this on the Switch? Never played it before.
The switch has quick use function for the D-pad. Makes things like healing, lantern equipping so much better.
Is the Anime any good?
Only the first 3 eps
It's like fanfiction done by someone that watched an episode of Berserk and Goblin Slayer while drunk.
>Berserk and Goblin Slayer
Is it decent if I don't treat it as a Dragon's Dogma adaptation?
https://www.strawpoll.me/45801830
It is a good game. I think the DLC is even better than the main game in some ways.
