Xenoblade 2 was the top of the franchise, in concept, in lore, in design and in what people call "soul" aka how believable and invested you got into it.
Xenoblade 3 is quite a lot weaker.
But by god I still can't forgive western Nintendo for basically killing the entire religion thing. You quite literally had god appear tear the world into 2 separate pieces and killed just about everyone in a flood.
It's literally a sci fi noahs arc story but none of that gets through in the localization.
I can't believe XC3 was so legitimately awful that it practically killed any interest in the series, assuming Xenoblade 4 EVEN happens.
I know XC1 & XC2 were flawed titles but man, XC3 didn't need to fricking torch everything for a shitty conclusion.
XC3 biggest issue for me is that there is almost no "unique titan where you can actually go inside". Only one section had a small part but it just looks like any other game cave.
Also the Angus castle is small and feel rushed compared to the Keves castle which is big. The "snow area" was literally just 2 or 3 linear straight line. Not sure if COVID or splatoon 3 rushed it. (They swap splatoon3 with XC3 release date if you didn't know).
Oh yeah they also had made no death scene for moebius X, she just disappear.
