These games are boring as fricking shit. I dont care how good the writing is. This kind of gameplay belongs in the 90s.

If Fallout 2 came out today, Ganker would call it peak reddit.
Well, the game is full of obnoxious pop culture references and other shitty humor. It's honestly a little too much. But Reddit would absolutely loose its shit over Sulik, the literal tribal savage with a giant bone in his nose who speaks in broken English.

zoomer here, we actually love this game so we wouldn't call you a zoomer
we'd just call you a fricking moron and tell you to have a nice day
This. The 1995-2002 generation loves classic fallout and shit like morrowind. Getting filtered by stuff like this is almost exclusively a millenial and late-zoomer thing.
This, I'm 1999 zoomer and OP is a certified moron.
filtered zoomie
also if you want to run - you run
if you will wait - you cant run
This series should've ended on a high note with BoS

You forgot to tag your primary combat skills or something?
lmao i bet he's one of those morons that thought the Big Guns skill was for shotguns and assault rifles and Small Guns was only for pistols n shit
Just saying inb4 isn’t going to stop people from calling you out you need to have an actual counter argument you filtered zoomer.
Zoomie literally filtered by temple ants because he made a shit lockpick/speech/small guns build with 4 str, 4 end.
And you people really think these games give you more options and choices over the modern fps ones? How does forcing you to make a high perception build give you more options? How does forcing you to fight in vats and thus forcing you to have high agility give you a better experience

Targeted shot yourself in the groin.
Bruh it is literally called that in retro fallout games as well
>Targeted Shots
Fallout 1's manual says you're wrong and moronic.

Apparently the stories and lore of FO1 and FO2 are incomparable for a video game. This is why every few years I try to beat them. But I am low iq
The point is, it was good back then, leave it there. Trying to put up with 25 year old design ideas compared to what we are spoiled with nowadays is impossible. People who champion these games now either played them when they first came out and are reliving memories somewhat every time they play them or they are bandwagoning and parroting opinions they heard. For 90% of people, these games are borderline impossible to play now and its not because they are difficult, its because of the archaic controls, layout, ui and gameplay.
>uuugghhhh actually none of those things matter if the story...
Everything matters. If you really care about the story of these games, you'd be better off watching lets plays and documentary length youtube videos breaking it all down.
>People who champion these games now either played them when they first came out and are reliving memories somewhat every time they play them or they are bandwagoning and parroting opinions they heard.
I played the old Fallouts when Fallout 3 came out and I was a moronic teenager at the time. Enjoyed it. Game is still good. People who cry about its gameplay and call it archaic are morons who struggle with one of the easier CRPGs out there.
Uh oh. Looks like the baby really doesn't like it when his favorite shovelware is insulted.
You're pathetic.
i played fallout 1 in 2010 and i had a blast
i love turn based games tho so maybe its me
and you are patient. That's an immeasurably virtue. You will appear enlightened to regular folk
>Trying to put up with 25 year old design ideas compared to what we are spoiled with nowadays is impossible.
BG3 wants to have word with you
>3rd person POV turn based combat RPGs are outda...ACK!
You're a moronic gorilla
Not an argument.
"For 90% of people, these games are borderline impossible to play now and its not because they are difficult, its because of the archaic controls, layout, ui and gameplay."
I understand people can´t get through the gameplay, but controls, layout, and ui are fine
>This kind of gameplay belongs in the 90s.
i mean yeah it is a 90s game wasnt it
>"Noooooo, specializing in appropriate skills is too hard."
>"Why can't I just mash like my modern slop?"
Take an IQ test. I think there is something wrong with you.
In Fallout 2 you NEED to put initial points into small guns or else you're going to have a hard time unless you realize this and intentionally avoid combat until you get something better than the pipe rifle.
Let me guess.
You made a guns character, and you can't hit shit with the melee weapons provided for you during the intro, right?
That's very normal, the temple of trials is one of the worst parts of the game for that reason. If it's really kicking your dick in that badly, then get a save editor and give your character a pistol and ammo. I don't think anyone will really care if you do that.
But that's not morrowind.
OP can't "inb4", it doesn't make sense
