It's good, but it's a completely different game from DoW 1. It got a lot of negative reviews cause people wanted something more like DoW 1. The skirmish mode is interesting but really awful with bots, which i think is it's biggest flaw.
The Last Stand mode is great though.
Also check out the Elite mod for skirmish and the Forgotten Emerald mod for Last Stand
>elite mod >active multiplayer scene
is it only active during EU times or something? My buddy and I tried looking for matches a couple of months ago and it was a ghost town.
You can probably find people more easily via steam chats/communities or if they have a discord. I think they used to post announcements via steam when they were organizing games
Fun campaign, but vanilla DoW2's missions are incredibly repetitive. The story and characters are pretty worth it imo. Chaos Rising is the direct continuation while Retribution does the Dark Crusade and give you multiple but similar campaigns but with different races. The skeleton is the same but the banter is still great
Like an anon said, the multiplayer/regular matches is boring as shit with bots but pretty fun against others, if there's anyone playing those.
I found Retribution campaign being very meh, mostly because all factions share the same missions pool. Banter is only worth it with Orcs and IG. Chaos one was absolute meme untill it suddenly got very good by last few missions. They did ruin Eliphas.
DoW1's campaign is worth $5 easy, and after that you get a bunch of factions to frick AI with. I say go for it. I'm having fun with Dark Crusade's campaign right now, can't comment on the other real missions.
these games were great. I like how they focus on specific characters and their adventures instead of an entire faction. thats what makes the new total war unfun for me, the scope is just too big
i hate these frickers like you wouldn't believe
How is DoW2? I have been fricking around with UA lately.

People are still frequently casting games for apparently.

Master Collection worth it for single player only?

unification, UA, or titanium wars, or your own moshpit of random race/faction mods?
>40k chinks
Yeah, nah.
It's not that bad. Yet.
He means the t'au, who have a variety of influences, two of which are imperialist china and imperialist japan
The only good warhammer games.
Why the frick hasn't Warhammer released a Battlefront type game yet? It's always RTS and L4D clones.
>Why the frick hasn't Warhammer released a Battlefront type game yet?
time, effort, money. GW famously stingy w/ the licensing.
all of that would pay off though. It's free real estate
Eternal Crusade was basically that and it failed hard due to overambition. Others stick to the basics.
*deletes your favourite model turn 1*
Nice try fishboy
>this model can't lose more than 3 wounds per phase

Heh. Nothin personnel kid.
