I do
I don't think I do, no.
underage b&
I remember the Escape the X series that was basically the same game two dozen times with different backdrops to liven things up
used to play the frick out of those in grade 5
You now remember all those erotic flash games from the late 2000s.
anime tiddies at a young age change a man. For better, or for worse I can't say but they do.
>anime tiddies at a young age change a man. For better, or for worse I can't say but they do.
Amen
The truth
A man can't listen to this song without a rush of emotions
The original song this came from is unironically good
>That acoustic guitar intro
>Leads into that cheesy 2000s drum beat
I can see it.
A space ship out crossing the galaxy.
A universe where men are incredibly rare.
Kept for breeding stock.
Brought out of cryo early.
Just to rail the entire crew.
I can't remember which.
But I remember it vividly.
It's just a distant memory now.
From a simpler time.
When a young man could beat his meat to comically oversized tiddies.
All powered by the humble browser, free games to nut to as far as the eye can see.
What a time it was.
Starmission
>stumble upon that furry star wars game at 8
uh
what?
He be talking about Love Sabers. Such a revolting art style...
yeah it was objectively ugly but it still turned me on
What age did you first find the meet n frick games? Think I was about 10
>What age did you first find the meet n frick games?
12
>Meet n Frick
God those were the raunchiest, nastiest games on the internet at the time, I fricking miss them.
i was also around 10 i think
15
Kingdom's the GOAT
That fricking Samus one and the one with the catgirl are both still seared into my memory.
God, LoK was more or less a full blown engine at that point.
What a fricking trip that was.
can you still play these anywhere?
Flashpoint Ultimate might have it.
I played the frick out of the hentai kiten games on Newgrounds
they were so shit but muh dick
getting a quick fap on friday afternoon on family computer before younger siblings and parents got home. good times kek
>tfw SDT
I played that evangelion one before I had watched evangelion. might be why I gravitated to Rei. might be that I think Auska is too full of herself.
tfw I will never be shinjis dad with all the clones I want...
>You look at my balls, I kill you
That one had it's title changed on Newgrounds. I think it's "Barfly Glasses" now?
Four, actually. At least if you count the parody game where you heal a unicorn.
I remember there was like a couple dozen Krystal porn flash videos that all used the same asset sets, and eventually devolved into her blasting diarrhea all over other characters. Shit was hilarious.
Ah, I remember, it was Playshapes' Krystal series.
>Playshapes
Shit, it did the job and it still does the job.
Haw
>look up old flash porn websites
>they are all still up
What in the goddamn.
Yep, they mostly act as archives at this point, you need some sort of addon to be able to play anything in flash now.
>BoobsUnited
Back when erotic games didn't try to have 30 novels worth of story to justify everything.
It was porn, you were there to beat your meat, they didn't try to lecture you, just help you bust a nut.
God bless the people who made these.
>late
>use stock images of random houses
>turn them into puzzle point and click escape games
genius
>"Oh yeah, I love escape room games!"
>"...Wait, you're saying they make escape room VIDEO GAMES now?!?!"
>>"Oh yeah, I love escape room games!"
>>"...Wait, you're saying they make escape room VIDEO GAMES now?!?!"
I refuse to believe this happened.
I remember this game, key items would look really out of place, though sometimes even that was hard to see.
There is this game called Agent A, and it's how I imagine SSSG would look like had it been anything but absolute basic effort.
>Agent A
Unashamedly filtered me. No idea why I got it when I was never a fan of these types of flash games in the first place.
I'm pretty sure 99% of people get filtered, that's why walkthroughs are a thing.
You are now obligated to play village of nightmares for 10 minutes or your mom will die in her sleep tonight.
Sure do.
Is that Submachine? Those games kicked ass
Is that Submachine? Those games sucked ass
the remake has been "coming soon" for like ten years
what the frick is the dude doing
I thought he released it? check his website.
Nope, he released the "complete collection" which is just a repackaging in HD. He's been making a remake where he redoes all the art. Honestly I thought it was a waste of time for a game without much replayability, but it's taking so long I guess I'll have forgotten all the puzzles.
He recently released a game called "Slice of Sea". I don't know much about it, however.
He also posted an update on his website:
https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/archive/2022-wrap-up/
Long story short, it's likely releasing this year.
Sounds like "Bars of Black and White".
>Slice of Sea
Oh yeah, I downloaded that but never played it. I don't know if I even have the patience for point 'n' clicks anymore. Should try it though.
No this had more graphics than that one, it wasn't sci-fi but it was a tech bunker with terminals and doors you had to open with puzzles.
pic related, he constantly posts on his twitter that hes working on it and basically wants to be done and planned the game to just be an HD remake of the games but he keeps getting ideas for new content
his games are excellent, but they are not even the best point n click flash games. from the fifth submachine, the series gets really dragged out imo. the fourth game is perfect.
frick yeah.
I always preferred his other project, Daymare Town. Genuinely one of the more atmospheric games I've played. I loved the parts where you enter paintings.
My man, those games were gorgeous even if they had some bullshit pixel hunts.
I did always appreciate how crazy Submachine's lore got, though.
I couldn't get into Daymare Town, but Covert Front was pretty great. Really captured that feeling of exploring old houses and secret bunkers.
Thanks for reminding me.
Daymare Town is still my favorite. Picked up Slice of Sea immediately because it has similar style and wasn't disappointed.
Watch out for purple!
Submachine/Mateusz Skutnik games ruined other point and click games for me.
Pretty sure there is a steam clone of this that has multiplayer now
i wish i could play this series completely blind again
Is that Submachine? Those games sucked ass
these games spooked me hard when i was a wee lad
I remember stumbling upon this with my brother when I was probably under 10 years old. I have vivid memories of thinking this was the most complicated game in history that would require a genius to complete. i watched a play through of it and was amazed how anyone could go so far.
Without spoiling anything major, may someone give me a hint as to what the "submachines" were?
I kinda pictures them like an abstract pocket reality; that is to say, there isn't anything "outside" them besides the exit, which is why the walls are unbreakable and those puzzles were the only way to progress.
Ooooooooooooh yes thank you Anon, I feel younger just looking at this pic 😀
Good day Anon, I hope you figured it out on your own unless the flash program isn't playing nice ... I remember you had to wait until the stake was in the right position and click it
>may someone give me a hint as to what the "submachines" were?
Why not simply play them all on Flashpoint? My preferred order is 0 > 1-4 > 32 > FLF > 5-10 > SubVerse
as i understood it, the submachine is kind of a poket reality, more like a parallel one, like a superposition of realities? and escaping was hard because it keeps expanding outwards, so basically you had to outspeed the expantion to get out
I fricking loved the mystery, the art style, the atmosphere these games had.
>He didn't just press Tab to get all the hidden shit to appear
You now remember games that punished you for pushing Tab
>win the game
>press Tab on Congratulations screen
>Game Over
dahdah daaahhhh
dahdah daaahhhh
>That crimson room game that you had to open an hyperlink to receive a pass but the version you were playing was outdated and the pass was different.
It's a shame MOTAS was never finished
You now remember those surgery games
Are there any other games we could describe as surgical horror?
The torture game i guess, happy wheels if you really wanna stretch it.
life & death
Can't find that game with that name
>The Civil War one where you had to give soldiers whiskey while you amputated their limbs
>The other one where a Revolutionary War soldier is writing his final words while you operate on him
Game was more kino than it had any right to be.
Back when game artists had free range and the means to create their dreams. Now they have to work for a Company and deal with diversity hires.
you can still create anything you want
>when you had to perform surgery on yourself
Kino
>do you want to live?
>then prove it
Unironically kino
had no right to be that good
Frick I remember this shit. Got to the part where a soldier is patient zero of a suspected plague. My mum actually watched me play that part, but flipped out when I got to the part where they bring back a vampire for you to kill.
Plural? that's the only such game I recall
I booted it up again a little back and jesus I forgot what the music was like, wonder if the dev made the song himself
There were I believe 3 Dark Cut games.
I also remember the Amateur Surgeon series.
The one dark cut game that have self arm surgery thing haunted me for some reason
Playing it right now, what do I have to do to aim the stake? Mouse or buttons?
When I'm moving mouse the stake is getting slower
Pretty sure Dark Cut is unplayable on modern systems
I remember the hentai version where you had to be quiet while trying to get or decide to tie up the girl whose room you're stuck in for whatever reason.
what game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/262510/CRIMSON_ROOM_DECADE/
soulless...
which was the escape room where the big reveal was getting a mirror and realizing you're a skeleton?
nvm I got it, its the Viridian room.
>Ten bucks
jesus
I played all of the flash ones last month at another thread's urging
they're baseline. not even sure I'd remember the solutions even this soon since.
You are surprised and killed by a Manticore! It quickly shreds your flesh and devours you.
JUST LET ME BECOME MY OWN FATHER FRICK
Is that The Ugly?
>fall asleep on the couch
>get raped
I remember this one being creepy until they revealed the killer and he just looked like a total moron.
yeah, the drawn segments are really well done but then the game just cops out halfway through and uses a 14kb JPEG for the rest of the art, it looks like shit.
>gif
almost gets me everytime
>he didn't watch the .gif
Tesshi-e was comfiest, neutral was best, detarou was most fun.
Tfw neutral took down all the old flashes while they're converting them to html5 🙁
For me, it's Pastel Games.
You can't download the flash versions anywhere?
I just installed Nova and Ruffle.
You now remember the King of Christian Flash escape games.
Brad McNeely... I should have known!
Holy frick Kira Buckland voiced Dialla in this game. What the actual frick.
Runka-Chunk did good. Cory BTFO.
Yes anon, you have now discovered that Kira Buckland is Runka-Chunk.
I never followed voice actors, so it sometimes surprises me when I find out that a "big" actor used to do a thing for a old flash game I played as a kid,
she was the female equivalent to tomamoto on newgrounds
I played the first one of these and never knew there were more until Retsupurae
I played them out of order because my original source of Flash games was on digyourowngrave.com
where can I play the third one? I found the first two
superglue a banana to a length of rope from a hanged man to catch a fish so that you can feed the cat of an old man who then gives you a blowtorch to melt the bars blocking your path
Monster Basement was kino
Scriptwelder is great, too. I had a blast replaying the Deep Sleep trilogy on steam.
>Dan McNeely
>Leader of Armored Gamsees
Godlimations' writing was pure cringe
That said, what's McNeely's VA doing these days?
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3701984/
Bunch of indie stuff from the looks of it.
>turning off the light in monster basement 2
The worst was if you played the video without the time stopping gadget.
I remember Viridian Room. There were two other color based ones too. Red Room, or something.
Blue room which was too short since you're just scribbling on a dollar bill to send to some guy with those transfer tubes. There was also another one with a motorcycle but I forgot what that one was called.
that was white chamber, not to be confused with the horror game of the same name from around the same time
Do you have time to talk about our lord and savior jesus christ?
ah yes the jesus escape game
I always liked Edwyn Tiong's voice in this game, even if the dialogues were campy as frick. Maybe because the dialogues were campy as frick?
I'm surprised they were able to say "Armored Gameses" with a straight face.
Amateur Surgeon? There's surgery, at least.
>I'm surprised they were able to say "Armored Gameses" with a straight face.
Cringe-kino. These games rightfully had its haters but in a way we didn't realize how good we had it.
the twist at the end of the third game is too over the top to hate
There's something beautiful about the 00's game melodrama
well whats one i can play right meow?
seriously, you go from doing VOs for flash games to voicing 2B. I'd have never put it together, such a change in acting ability.
She was ubiquitous during the internet days for being that one cosplay girl that does voices for internet flashes.
Lucky bastard.
Too bad Snake is gay
Man look at the normal looking people in the best faithful costumes they could put together just having fun and relaxing and talking about games they enjoy. Miss these days.
Now every cosplayer girl wants to make a bikini-version of every character, and the gaming companies/producers have monetized everything (can't stand around just chatting anymore, have to buy snacks! Have to buy merch! Have to buy autographs! Standing and talking doesn't make money!) and everyone is on their fricking phones filming their 1000 dollar costumes for twitch
>you go from doing VOs for flash games to voicing 2B.
>only now put that together
I now know why everyone on the internet wanted to frick 2B so bad.
Not just because she had the perfect ass.
But because she sounded like what we all grew up hearing as the most common female voice in a period when we were all relentlessly horny teenagers.
IT
ALL
MAKES
SENSE
NOW
Shinji, shut the frick up.
never liked her voice
made 2B less hot for me
I think you're legitimately the first person I've ever heard complain about 2B at all.
Does anyone remember Being One? Almost everything Psionic Games made was quite good. Shame about the rough transition to 3D.
Also, I've seen Don't Escape 4 on Steam. Scriptwelder made great games as well. Has anyone tried it?
You just brought back some memories. How many were there? I think I remember 5.
i liked the ones where you had to stop yourself from escaping
Yes, I loved them then and I still do. Same with IRL escape rooms, except they are israelily overpriced.
>Go to a real one with former friends.
>Spot things worth doing or investigating.
>Inform the group.
>They give up and fumble with other things.
>Manage to do all the stuff you pointed out to them on your own.
>No acknowledgement whatsoever.
>They still mistranslate a code for the literal final step and time out.
Just because I am a very laid back person and won't scream at you to listen to me does not mean you shouldn't shut the frick up and pay attention. Frick those guys. And I hope Eric never got to frick Iz.
>>Go to a real one with former friends.
I did the same thing, but as soon as we got stuck for just a little bit one girl would immediately scream for a hint from the person in charge. I eventually lost all interest during the attempt since I knew we would cheat our way to the end. And we did.
>Not going with your rag tag team of 2 other autists witch each member specializing in different kinds of problem solving.
I'm actually a little surprised at how well we round out for puzzle solving. We have a numbers guy, a letters and an abstract thinker between the 3 of us. The rooms where they split us up are definitely where we struggle but it's still a fun challenge to take us out of our element
Indeed
There you are
How was this one called? I remember playing it but not the name.
Crimson Room
Anyone else play this one?
I don't care if I'm replying to a day-old post, this is the one I think about whenever escape room games come up. Used to play so much of this in high school. I need to find and play through it again. Pretty sure I dl'd a flash archive with it somewhere sometime
Isn't there a room where you actually see someone else in the building or facility you're stuck in, then way later you time travel back a day or something and see the same scene but you're the other person you saw? I still remember.
yeah, the first time it's made to look like there's an alien or something around but then it's just you in a spacesuit
Man, Flash was so good. Kids today don't know. They only have stupid shit like roblox or whatever.
They don't even like playing the games. They play stupid clicker games but they all immediately install programs to play the game for them.
They don't actually have a taste for gaming, they simply follow whatever the popular streamer says they should like.
They're obsessed with cheating, hacking, etc. They have no concept of competitiveness or getting good at games. To them getting away with cheating IS "being good".
It's disgusting, it's like watching the worst personalities traits of chinks and Black folk combine into a cesspool of cringe.
You must be living in some different plane of reality then, you are having so much nostalgia and lies fed to your head that you create some absurd reality of these kid just to shit on younger generation.
Except I have to work with these kids every fricking day for my job?

it's true. Not because the young gen is inferior or something but because that's what they grow up with. Flash reached its peak long ago. Full, complete games are rare nowadays with almost every AAA having a cash shop. Battlepasses seek to mentally coerce people into playing their games, lootboxes barely existed until like 2014
They don't even have the good OG Roblox, they have the shitty MTX-riddled Roblox.
I have no idea how that game got so popular all of a sudden, it's been around since like 2007.
*I* played Roblox on my shitty little laptop in middle school back in 2008, and now kids are doing the same on their phones.
Does anyone else recall a sort of escape room game where you're locked in a nuclear bunker and you uncover the story on terminals? It might have been in black and white.
Are there any non-flash escape room games other than Zero Escape?
I wish I could escape this room...
>That one guy on youtube that used this game to make art pieces
does anyone remember this escape room game where you could go to sleep and it would play a jingle? i think you could just sleep repeatedly. thats the only fact about that game which i remember and the piece of shit jingle sometimes still pops up in my head
Help! Help! Is anybody there?
UuuaaAAAAaaaaAAh!
My grotty piss-stained toilet...
what was this game fricking called? AAHH frickfrickfrickfrick
Arrival in Hell
GROTTY PISS-STAINED TOILET
Was playing one just the other day
Remember when you could just press TAB and it would highlight everything you can click?
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
WHERE IS THE NEXT PART OF AMBITION I FRICKING NEED IT
the guy who made those games unironically ran into the forest to live among the trees 10 years ago
What the heck are you doing?
still the best
*ahem*
I hope you didn't have any homework to do.
why was this so addictive? was it autism?
I sat next to a guy with autism back in 2007 when we'd have a lot of free time and he'd play this constantly so probably yes
Never got the point of it but that didn't stop me from doing it for hours. I do vote autism.
>do thing
>do thing with another thing
stuff happens
that's literally it and god was it awesome
>game gets a remake
>>game gets a remake
Obligatory Bloons.
More like Troons
They need to fricking license their engine already
god shit
>start talking about old flash games with friends
>one of us loads up powder and streams it
>a full hour passes
>we're still watching powder
powder...
>make little cities out of various materials
>build nukes just outside and set them off
>tfw could never find a substance cold enough to cool everything down
Uranium was the worst because once that stuff gets going it melts through everything.
>find city map
>destroy it with bombs you copied or made yourself
>for hours
This scared the shit out of me as a kid. It's probably lame as shit now
I played it like two months ago. Yeah it's pretty tame.
is clunky but still pretty creepy, however.
Holy shit i've been trying to find this game for years
this game didn't work offline. any cool twists or plot to it?
you're the rabbit, you killed alice. that's all i remember.
>Synapsis 1&2
>Gretel and Hansel games
>Icescape, Urbex
>Morningstar
The amount of free games with this level of quality were crazy. I'm glad devs can make money from games like this nowadays since I know how much work they are to make, but I do miss the days of this kinda shit being free.
Also who else here got obsessed with room escape games when you were younger and are now an expert at IRL room escapes?
Flash era was special, it was something else. So much creativity and cool stuff.
complete stab in the dark, but i remember playing this one point n click/puzzle game on newgrounds and i remember absolutely nothing about it except that it had a modern setting and was fairly grungy, and it started off at a house party/friend gathering or something. distinctly remember dark house interior. any ideas?
Kind of sounds like Morning After.
There were 5 games. 6 being a 3D game made in Unity.
frickkkk morning after is the exact one i was looking for, this specific camera angle and scene has been ingrained into a tiny part of my memory for years. much appreciated
You might also want to check out the prequel, "Night Before."
>you now remember all porn made in flash
>also something about three curious ponies
>Mittsies' music now gets millions of views on Youtube
They grow up so fast.
Spooked me
Is there anything spooky in particular shown in that pic or just the general mood? Haven't played the game
See for yourself
https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/260163
I was maybe 13 when I played it
thanks Anon
2spooky
My homie
Anybody else play this with friends and just have the best time ripping on each other for getting scared?
All of these flash games I only recognize from Retsupurae and damn do I miss them.
Their streams are funny but it just aint the same. Nothing lasts forever...
*blocks your path*
long arms
>That one escape the room game where you have amnesia and try to escape from burglars
>Only to remember you ARE one of the burglars.
Pretty funny looking back.
Good games.
Why hasn't the Don't Escape/Deep Sleep series not been posted yet? This shit was top notch and went above and beyond for an "escape" game.
I was blown away by the idea when I first played these games, a lot of genres and ideas are overplayed but for people like this to create magic from the same old...
Deep Sleep 1-3 managed to be so scary almost without any jumpscares or interactions from start to finish
Has Scriptwelder done anything since DE4?
They guy behind these made a game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/611760/Dont_Escape_4_Days_to_Survive/
It's good. I rarely if ever shill anything on Ganker but if you like the Don't Escape series you'll like this. It always occurs in the same 'universe' as the original flashgames.
>It always occurs in the same 'universe' as the original flashgames.
That's a spoiler, anon.
>Flash thread

reminder they remade this and it's fricking shit
They did?
Sweet Christmas, they did.
this shit is still alive and constantly updated btw
Anon's I need help finding a flash game. All I remember was that it was a choose your own adventure game in the vain of Henry Stickman. But the protagonist was late for class. And you could choose to slide down the stairs but that would launch him out the window. It had stick figures in it.
MOTAS?
who can remember all the steps?
It would be cool if we tried a twitchplayspokemon kind of gig with one of these kinds of games and replied with the appropriate images
It would get so messy and disorganized though
>clicks on glovebox
THIS IS THE ONE
i was looking for this, i remember this shit being so hard
what room am I escaping? my own?
>you will never make a hentai flash RPG together with your brother
I liked the galaxy one as well
>Motoko makes you breathe car exhaust through a straw
>HP lowered to 1
Is this the one where you get balls from a poster of Goku?
I don't think that's it. You're thinking of AN Escape Series 2.5
For me it was the Thing Thing games.
Closest I got to what I wanted out of a Madness game back then.
Also that one 2d flash arena shooter that I can't remember the name of.
Sup fellow Thing Thing enjoyer. I also remember that flash arena game but can't think of the title. Feel like it was something simple, like Stick Arena.
Does anyone remember this one escape room game on the Xbox 360? There was a free trial of it on the Xbox indie store, and the picture had like some creepy girl looking at the player.
I cried
Did anyone remember that one escape room have that was strictly timed in the first few minutes? Like you were being held hostage in a basement and the first step was to escape your binds before the kidnapper returned. You could hear him talking as he gets closer as the time depletes, and the muffled voice begins to get clearer as he gets closer, till you hear the door burst open and his voice so clearly says "I'm here" then it's game over.
A flash game before there was flash..
This is probably in my top 10 games of all time just because its so soulful.
>That iron maiden that clearly got aroused by eating the other monsters
>No loose Mcbawd

>escape room games
how about escape mom games?
>not ONE post about mild escape
fricking casuals
See
Oh shit I didn't see that post
Some of you guys are alright
I used to have a handwritten guide to this shit stashed away in my room where my mom wouldn't find it.
Pretty sure the only actual sex scene is a separate flash video
>get in game
>all the girls are interested in me
>disregard b***hes and spam strength training
>millionaire from the prize fighting
>but this b***h doesn't love me because I cant remember her favorite color
>still isn't finished
Bros..
it was already finished a few wyears ago
>Pretty sure the only actual sex scene is a separate flash video
I remember that, I also remember finding it before I reached the ending.
if you open several versions (notably, across major versions) with a flash decompiler you'll find quite a few unused? sex minigames.
one of them was a card fighter (with sex)
Where can one find this flash decompiler?
I use FFDec
Thank you for the name. It makes me wonder what might be lurking in the old flash games I played, like Hentai Bliss RPG
Give it a go, you might find something interesting.
Not really, no. I wasn't a child when they became popular and thus never played any. However speaking of Flash, I now remember Joe Cartoon and Gerbil in a microwave.
I used to play the hell out of escape games, I feel like I recognize every screenie ITT, at least subconsciously (barely remember names). used to go on escapegames24 a ton, and surprisingly the site is still up. and is still being updated, wtf.
why did they REALLY kill flash bros?
Too much free content, too hard to lock down.
I remember my friend showed me one about some kids getting kidnapped, something to do with free ice cream. creeped me out as a kid
shit i remember this but i also do not remember anything about it. it was kind of a proto real lives in a sense wasnt it
It was a DOS game from the 80s, then a free browser game in the 2000s
ah nah I ain't getting tortured to death again frick that
ANON ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW
were all those posts about a secret serial killer path legit to this day I don't know if anons were lying
i got murdered once idk if that counts
anons used to shitpost never confirmed if real that theres like an off chance you kill the abductor ingame and become a serial killer
Sounds pretty bullshit. You can get killed by a killer in a few scenarios but that's all.
I loved the times in Ganker where we'd be obsessed with this game for a week
OBO-137
someone confirm this before thread dies thanks
I don't but I also did much with Flash games. Did other things, and I definitely missed out.
Anyone play these games? I thought they were great basically a modern day version of flash escape rooms even if they are kinda jank on pc because they were made for mobile originally. Wish we had more games like this.
>tfw love The Room
>tfw no VR
New game when?
Yeah I never got a chance to play the VR game shame they went that route especially since 4 was really good.
Check out The House of Da Vinci, definitely inspired by The Room games. The third game released in December.
Yeah played that shit already it was mediocre.
There’s one of these games I remember playing but can never remember what its called. There’s a segment where you’re trapped in a house and you have to escape through a mouse hole, and then you end up going to a mall, which is guarded by a demon that makes you do math. Anyone else remember this one?
sounds like runescape
>Dude that made these got cancer and divorced and the wife took the kids away
Shit man.
yoooooooooooooooooooooo
This one was really cool, even if extremely short.
I'm 95% sure this isn't even a scene in the game
Dammit
I miss the days of being really young wasting a whole weekend playing some point and click puzzle game, you would end up stuck on for hours like that halloween town that starts you escaping your house to go trick or treating
Everything is so fricking soulless now its unreal
plenty of great games on itch, GT, gamejolt and other sources. you just have to search a bit instead of complaining like a b***h
What a cool little game where you can talk to animals! That maid girl looks cute, I'll go talk to her.
my bros, this is what birthed me into a full time coomer...
I remember playing this, the peach one, and the Krystal one this guy made
Man... takes me back to when I would try and be sneaky on the computer with this shite
Same then family only had one main desktop in the living room so I'd have to wait until everytone left to play these. Eventually caught and got a earful lol
>Panda women
I've always hated furries, but those fricking chinkbears are my worst weakness...
>be straight and innocent wondering what this game is full of animals and why it's got an adult rating
>click on fox
>confused
>start to get hard
It's been downhill from there
Are you me
The zebra gave me the muscle/thick limb fetish
>Pest Control
Nitrome was a fricking goldmine.
it still holds up
you now remember worm food, bad ice cream, that one city destroyer one, and sky serpents
>Achievement Unlocked
>Gold Miner
>Hot Air
>Factory Balls
>Doeo
>SCGMD
>Four Second
>Codex of Alchemical Engineering
Memories
Am I just blind or does this really not have the Sonny games or The Last Stand 1/2?
Yeah, it's missing both Sonny and Sinjid. Truly these are dark times...
>no sonny
>no straw hat samurai
>no creeper world
>no armed with wings
>etc
Shit list
for me it's frank's adventure
I miss the flash era. We will never get something like AG, Kong, NG or MC ever again.
>Feudalism 2
>Mastermind World Conqueror
>Oiligarchy
For me it's the Don't Escape series
why doesn't flashpoint work?
it tries to load then doesn't load. should I just extract the .swf and play with flash player?? or what
Play it on Newgrounds if it's there. After Adobe killed Flash, they made and distributed a Flash in-browser emulator called Ruffle, so you can still play all the flash games without installing anything.
MOTAS was its own website.
Nevermind then. But the guy who made it should contact Tom Fulp at Newgrounds and ask for a copy of ruffle.
I think they gave it to the guys on Kongregate as well
>emulator called Ruffle, so you can still play all the flash games without installing anything
ruffle only works with about 30-40% of flash games. some of them literally run better in it than in the original flash player though.
can finally play picrel without insane stutter.
>30-40%
Where did you get those numbers? I've only had a handful of games not work on it, and like Ruffle says, all those games were made in Actionscript 3, which is the latest version of the Flash programming language, and it isn't fully compatible with it yet.
I don't think I've played an actionscript 1 or 2 game that didn't work yet, so any examples you have I'd love to see.
based on the amount of games i have saved in my "og flash" folder vs "ruffle" folder. got about 60 games that work in ruffle and about 120 that dont and also the fact that ruffle doesnt support actionscript 3 so pretty much anything from the later flash era wont work
It's not that it won't support anything from the "later flash era". Most people stuck with Actionscript 2.0 because 3.0 was a huge rework at the end of it's lifespan.
Can you post some examples of what doesn't work in ruffle for you?
almost everything on this list
was tested by me and if it doesnt have the ruffle tag, it doesnt work
I tested Aether and Dad 'n Me so far and the list is out of date. Dad 'n Me works great. Aether doesn't work yet, but it's made by Glaiel, so it's probably AS 3.0
i just downloaded the latest version of ruffle and tried to run dad n me from my desktop, it runs like shit and looks like this. no clue why it works in browser, if i put the same file into flash player it works normal.
forgot pic
visual differences between desktop and browser could be down to different renderers.
examples from my "doesnt work in ruffle" folder:
differences series, abobos big adventure, achievement unlocked series, anikas odyssey, canabalt, castle crashing the beard, cave of wonders, clarences big chance, dadgame, anything by scriptwelder, doeo, dont look back, epic battle fantasy series, escape the game, faith fighter, gretel and hansel, jacksmith (and papa games afaik), larry and the gnomes, mdconalds game, picos blast, pillage the village, punk o matic, puzzle freak 1 & 2, road of the dead, simple day, the book of living magic, the mosquito project, this is the only level, winnie the pooh homerun derby, wonderputt
delete preferences.json. no clue why but it works
thanks will try
they were basically just dumbed down point and click adventure games made for morons with short attention spans.
How can this thread go so long with pic related being mentioned?
The entire series is pretty cool.
Does anyone remember that one escape the room game where you were stuck in an apartment or something and could see a glimpse of the outside, but when you finally got there it turned out that it was just a wall with a picture on it, and your apartment or whatever was actually inside of a larger facility? It might've been mentioned in this thread, or it might even be the OP, but I really can't tell.
i never forgot
is this your own list? if so
>zombie inglor
>swag
>fly guy
unfathomably based
thanks anon
For me, it was The Great House Escape and the Afro Ninja Escape series
>unironic flash game nostalgia on Ganker
Zoom zoom
Flash games started in 2006. The oldest Flash game is 23 years old.
Macromedia flash has been around since 96.
>Flash games started in 2006
Wrong. Also doesn't change the fact that flash games were played exclusively by little children and had massive appeal to zoomers. Back then I was playing real games like Warcraft III and TFC
>*siiiiip* Warcraft III.... Now THATS a real game...
I was playing both.
I'd hop between playing dumb little flash games on Newgrounds and playing UT2003 and RTCW back in middle school.
Same here anon, especially those early Cartoon Network games. I remember when Harum Scarum was brand new around 2003, which was my favorite.
S U B M A C H I N E
I've been playing a lot of this Tower Defence game lately, SAS Zombie Assault TD. TD was always a great fit for flash.
Too bad there's a final tier of weapons that are now impossible to unlock because they required connection to an account server. There's a lot of games that were designed based around online connectivity that have been left fricked by that years later.
Are there any good escape room games? There's that Room series of hard puzzle games but that's not quite what I'm looking for.
hooooly shit this just activated some dormant neurons in my brain
Anyone remember Ninjadoodle?
Where are my Telepath RPG bros? The second game got me into turn based strategy like Shining Force, Fire Emblem, FFTA, and more
does anyone know where all the hidden orbs are in the 2nd game?
I remember seeing a guide for all of them before. I never beat it because the golem stealth part walled me, I recall that much. Finding a guide again might be your best bet now
Does anyone remember a game where you play as some redhead chick that invents a time machine then has to run from a caveman to a crashed UFO? What was it called again?
I remember a game on kongregate where the player character was a blocky man and the environment was blocky too, and the background was black and all the rooms had cool lighting in them, the plot involved family trauma or something, there were puzzles and maybe some electronic stuff featured like they were robots? I cannot recall it, but I would be glad if somebody could name it for me
I feel like I know what you're talking about but I can never remember the goddamn name. It's all about unresolved trauma of an overbearing and controlling mother, right?
That feels very close, yes
I might just bite the bullet and search kongregate under specific tags and find it that way. See if that helps
Cuboy.
It's not Cuboy
Yes, it is not this. The one I recall is much darker in every way, the block people were thinner and taller, and the rooms and locations floated in a void of some sort
I AM PLAYING THE GAME THE ONE THAT'LL TAKE ME TO MY END
https://files.catbox.moe/fcpef4.ogg
what is modern equivalent of flash games?
Itch io games.
There isn't one.
might come to mind but the sheer creativity and spirit behind flash games is simply not there anymore.
So instead of evolving and enabling creativty internet went backwards
Sad
The internet wasn't as centralized not as monetized before. Making flash games was in most cases a hobby or a passion project, at most you'd try to get a few bucks out of it but it was completely different from today. Nowadays internet games, indie or studio-made, are 100% about selling a product and making a profit, even those that are free will have ads or will be the artist trying to gather an audience so his later projects sell. Sadly people realizing the internet's potential for money-making means we'll never see something like the flash era again unless something huge happens.
My first witnessing of wild west Ganker drama came from anons trying to force their Blackbob creations as a meme in /f/, with names and emails attached to the flashes and everything. Like all things that happened when a real name was attached during this period, the personal-armying done to all of their Myspace friends and family ensured that to this day, you will never find Pete Sahlbeg or choasmuffinz on any Spokeo-type people search, or any normal search for that matter
>Hey kid, you lookin'?
>Yeh
>Then FOLLOW ME! HA HAAAAA!
I don't know if this is the same game or not, but I remember a game like this so vividly. You crash land on an alien planet, have to decode the language on alien ruins and puzzles like that to escape.
But the opening cinematic was so good, you wake up and the ship is spinning as it falls so the window in front of you is getting lit up every few seconds by the planet below. Anyone remember that game?
That isn't the game in the image, I can tell you that much
Throwing this out there because its been in my mind for a decade:
I remember a site, I'm not gonna call it an "escape room game" because I'm not even sure that was the point of it, but it was more like one of those fully Flash artsy-fartsy concept sites that had a sort of escape room puzzle in it. What i remember is waiting for it to load and there was an animation of a woman walking against a white background. And i think there was either text or the url had "walking" in it. When the site loaded it was in sort of an outdoor area with something like a garage and a vehicle and I remember needing to find keys or enter keycodes into a pad or something like that. I was never able to figure out the code based on the clues that were around.
The really interesting thing was the other websites that were tangential to this one that seemed to have been created by the same team. One I remember was an infinitely scrolling message board. Instead of scrolling up or down you would scroll like, depthfully into the screen and new messages would load.
Another one was a website about farming or selling chickens that was supposed to be comedic I think? All I mostly remember from that one is a woman's voice saying "Hello, and welcome to The Chicken Website" in a British voice.
I remember this one French art project room escape but not the name. There were tons of them back in the day.
I would really believe it was a French project, that sounds right. Definitely had a Euro vibe
The one I'm thinking of had a really psychedelic mosaic design to the web page and the game. But there were dozens of sites just like it, nevermind all the obscure jap games.
Now you've got me playing flash games Ganker I wanted to go to bed.
Does someone remember a turn based RPG where you're fighting against greek (?) gods?
I never finished it as it was possibly pretty hard at the time, wondering what it was...
Ahhhhhhh!
SUGAR
Does anyone remember the new grounds game where you just sold crack on the streets with the girls from Azumanga?
No, but I remember the Bill Cosby one
That's Azumanga Druglord Game or something
Thanks nig
you now remember...
>kill fred durst
>dancing bush
came buckets to this 15 years ago
https://gamcore.com/games/desk_job
HAPLAND BROS WHERE WE AT?
OH SHIT I remember those games and I sucked real bad shit at em
HAAAAA
What can I get for you?
Frick please link this. What was it called?
3-Ali
This guy made two of the greatest flash cartoons ever then just vanished forever.
His work was done, the world needed him no longer
I remember him making three.
Pawnshop Prick, 3-Ali, Crackhead.
>Flash thread
Bros...Don't go to Kongregate. You don't want to see what happened.
i went there, played old games. Whats the issue?
Kongregate has been shit since it was bought by Gamestop
Then they were sold to some NFT company
Holy shit Kongregate actually died.
So NG is the only remaining bastion of the old internet now.
>half the forums are deleted rip off-topic shitposting which led me to this hellhole
>the other half are locked
>main page is a generic random game assortment, like every other half-baked flash website
>bold, white name replaced with weird black and weird font
>even the main color is different for no reason
>still has chat room tab, but doesn't do anything since the chat rooms are all deleted
Even worse than I expected.
Where did you get that picture of Myslef
atleast its still up unlike swfchan
A little before Flash's time
Good old Encarta Mindmaze. Doubt many still here know of it's existence.
>Encarta Mindmaze
Holy frick that's a memory I never though I'd have unlocked again let alone named. I've got some nostalgia to chase down now
I wish we'd get more of them. Some of them were absolute kino
Since flash is dead what is the replacement for games like these? just where you can go on a site and play some random shit.
Flashpoint
FINAL FANTASY IS AN RPG. THE ONLY ONE THAT I NEED, IT'S THE RPG FOR ME
How did he not improve his art at all over the course of 20 years?
it was already perfect
This game has been on my wishlist forever and I completely forgot about it. Anyone played it and recommend it?
Yes, I'd recommend it ONLY if you played Scriptwelder's past games, Deep Sleep series and the other Don't Escapes. They are also rather short so it wouldn't be much of an inconvenience. That might be a slight spoiler but you'll thank me for a fuller experience.
holy shit I thought I was the only one
peak comfy when you found one that was actually good
I miss the old internet so much bros its unreal.
>that FMV hotel horror game made by Doritos
Pure kino.
I'D LIKE SOME POUND CAKE
!!! I haven't seen this posted yet and I haven't got a picture, but DEADLY VENOM was a genuinely amazing series except for the very last boss fight, frick that, I only beat that like once !!!
That game having a cheat code to replace bashing sounds with sex moans was peak 2000
Obligatory.
What was your first one, bros? Orgasm girl was the one that made me a man
>Orgasm girl was the one that made me a man
God I remember that, one of my firsts when I learned erotic flash games existed.
Still remember that night.
for me it's Ganguro Girl
I wonder if anyone actually played the full "premium" version
Kingdom will always be the GOAT for me
The elf tavern girl gave me my fricking MILF and lactation fetish as a young lad
i feel kinda sad that i will never be a child again
coming home from school, going to newgrounds and just playing whatever random game i felt like
the flash era was a legendary one and i'm sad it's dead
compare it to the state of gaming today, nonstop triple A micro transaction filled copy paste garbage OR indie games that are early access for 5+ years, those are basically your choices
ah, i miss the old days...
I genuinely feel pity for zoomers and those that are yet to come for not knowing the freedoms and simple, but genuine joys that we took for granted back then. The thought that zoomers don't have an equivalent of flash games these days makes me feel extremely sad.
the only thing they get to play are dogshit, shovelware mobile games, fortnite, or roblox
i truly feel bad for them
All I have is 32_sa. What's the others for?
>never gets finished in your path
HD died and took all of the game with it. He was so close to the end he was too disheartened to start over.
What the FRICK are they doing to Kongregate https://www.kongregate.com/
I only skimmed that and absolutely none of it made sense
That is legitimate corpo word salad for "we are rebranding because we got bought out"
I remember how brutal 'the ugly' was
>fall asleep on the couch
>get raped
>turn on music and "hide" behind curtain
>killer runs off to hide under your bed
I played without sound looking over someone's shoulder, was this explained somehow?
It's been a long time since i played it. I could only ever figure it out though a walkthrough back then. I know there is a gun you can get.
>the horror is over
>lasted two minutes
Mmm, yeh,
I could never get past the very start
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
>these aren't on Flashpoint
The quotes live rent free in my head even years later
idk why but this was my favorite, along with the animations
The best part, all these years later it doesn't feel like "randumb" humor but a horribly botched MTL.
what game
Eva4 dating sim. it's still on newgrounds, but 18+ so you need to log in to play it.
https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/117511
The Fog Fall
yes
It's gone...all gone...
was it this one? there are a handful of metroid promo sites up on flashpoint
You now remember AlbinoBlackSheep
I knew it was that one. Good job.
I went to Kongregate and searched under the "robot" tag, and it was there on page 3
Holy frick 5th and 6th grade in the computer lab these were the shit
Random Tower Defence
Astral Tower Defense
Azul Baronis
Ether War
Pokemon Tower Defense
...? Anything else not listed ITT?
I miss this homie like you wouldn't believe.
What game? Looks familiar
Junkbot
Now I remember it. It's the lego floor game. Thank you
99 Rooms was a really neat Point n Click. More art project than game, but was still fun and at times really spooky.
The screenshot of the falling sand game has set a dormant part of my brain on fire. I went searching for the history and timeline and I think the time between that game and now is equal to the time between that coming out and my birth.
Also no one has posted that French mouse game with a tonne of other players like a 2d fall guys. What was the fricking name
Great thread
blessed thread, thanks OP
I never played these because I thought they were boring and I was scared of screamers
I just want to play lego drome racers again. It was such a simple and addicting concept
reminder that most flash games are available on flashpoint, go look there if there's anything you're itching to play again
don't forget 'The Classroom'
i tried playing it recently and it was legitimately hard, maybe im just shit.
