It’s not irrelevant when it’s ignorable with a promise of future balance, but it falls flat when it’s 5 months of the same issues. PvP is genuinely terrible. Casters one shotting you because you didn’t have a kick for a cast is not good gameplay. Taking premades out was a mistake because it’s a massive social aspect in an MMO (hint, the M’s stand for massive multiplayer). Pve balance is the interns throwing darts on who gets massive buffs while every other class feels like a fricking mistake to play. At least on era you know where your class stands.

I’ve heard from devs and people in “the know” that it’s both experimental and classic+. If it’s truly temporary why would they add Karazhan crypts?

I’ll say it again because you’re slow. Imbalance in 1 phase is acceptable. Imbalance for 2+ phases is a death sentence. It is not fun to play when your favorite class gets fricking dunked on for 6 months straight because they’re not a hunter, Druid, or priest.

WoW is just a bastardized version of playing D&D with way too many people to the point that no one roleplays properly and the game ends up being a shitty experience.
If you want a superior experience, play a good persistent world in Neverwinter Nights.
I recommend Prisoners of the Mist. They have very good rules there and the max level is only 20, the way it should be instead of 40.

I started playing again because the next expansion interests me purely due to the fact 3 out of the 4 zones are underground. I jlhope they're stacked vertically and you go to each one via big hole

The seemingly massive endless world of vanilla WoW now feels small, I have seen everything in it. I even finished Naxx with my guild I beat the game.
It's over for me. I might login to wow classic years from now just to depressingly level a character alone, if the servers are still up at all.

Genuinely what do you do? Vanilla had the exact same raid-centric endgame design, the thing that changed was us and how we engage multiplayer.
