Better than before where some people would know it and others would not creating knowledge checks against easily defeatable stuff using knowledge you had no access to in the game itself
>players knowing too much and optimizing everything kills every game in every genre
I prefer this system. I'd rather only play against people who actually want to master the system mechanics like I do.
I don't want to play against shitters who get immediately filtered by basic shit such as frame data.
At the end of the day the only people you really should be appealing to are the people who are going to play your game long after the initial hype has died down.
Fighting games are designed explicitly for players to optimize all of the fun out of them.
There are so many rules, conditions, states, wonky ass properties that even knowing a fraction of them all will immediately shoot you from bronze to gigadiamondplatinumtungstenmasteroverlordbigboss, and once you find yourself at that rank, you must learn absolutely everything or else you'll never win another round again.
1 v 1 fights are boring imo I like fighting a bunch of dudes at once, also I only play single player games and fighting games seem like they are more geared for multiplayer. tekken was pretty fun tho especially the tekken forces thing.
Granblu Versus has a single player mode whre you fight a bunch of dudes and giant bosses sometimes. The first part will be free when rising releases if you want to try it, without going through the trouble of pirating it. Oh, and it's also both local and online coop
The first part will be reworked to be faster to play through so its not exact same as the one from versus but they said they will keep all the important parts like boss fights in it
Pretty sure they give you alt costumes that are closer to the original designs like Metera's booty shorts and Zeta's non-skirt that shows off her panties.
You'll never unlock Yuel's regular outfit though
You can choose the original non-censored versions of some characters, it's also the main way to get weapon skins without paying. also I think that in the PS version some gibs for the gacha are locked behind story progress. That's for the original, dunno what they'll do in Rising
Such a small difference totally changes the appeal of a character. >shortpants with some frills that make no sense >panties with a frilly skirt that's opened in the front
In the Rising Beta it was just an options toggle now if you wanted the OG

Feels kinda warm and fuzzy that out there there's an nippon ojisan gentleman who thought >yeah, i'll put this in for the boys >a lil' something for the boys, yeah >i miss my youth
I'll buy your game, Mr. Hideo Minaba, i promise.

It's good that they're behind the storyline but even better if they're a toggle. I would have liked them behind the story though.
>get killed by another better anime fighting game >Project L
Project L isn't anime, it's this weird zombified western """""anime""""" that's safe and approved by numales/troons/femcels. If it doesn't make those creatures shit, piss, cum and cry, it's not anime, simple as.
I hate versus because the english voice acting sucks and i cant switch to the japanese. Im unironically playing the jp version of it because I can’t stand the dub
It depends, if you play a character with oppressive offense sometimes you can just win off of a single interaction if the game has enough 50/50 guesses - so you can win even if your defense sucks. Does that make it easier because you can win more without good defense or harder because at the higher levels you're expected to be able to block all of it?
Generally anime games more stuff going on faster, I dunno if I'd call them harder just different
I view it as playing against extremities where one character might be really good at this one thing going up against a character who's really good at some other thing and watching the chaos unfold. Obviously there's going to be some bad match-ups in that sort of space but like the other guy said, I don't think it's much "harder" but there might be a bit more homework involved in familiarizing yourself with fighting a certain character's gameplan.
For a beginner? They can be abit harder to approach due to the general movement speed being faster (most of tthem feature running dash versus step-in dash like Street Fighter or have air dashes to give you more options when jumping) but they tend to have alot of defensive mechanics to get your opponent off of you (Alpha Counter, Guard Cancel, Dead Angle, Burst, Push Block, in UNI"s example Shield and GRD Thrust, etc).
That Fall Guys mode is going to keep at it healthy levels and it's free.
Would LOVE to see the free version with fall guys and the fighting game to be separate so we can see the sheer difference in player counts though.
>love granblue artstyle >want to play the new fg >100% know T8 is gonna kill it and UNI 2 will draw the hardcore weebs away leaving it to die again
sigh
Doesn't GBVR have a 2 months head start?
I imagine most Tekken players only stick with Tekken since it's 3D and the people I see praise GBV the most are ones who HATE long anime combos and "dishonest neutral" so I don't see THAT much overlap across the three titles aside from your casual crowd who would lightly dabble on all three before a big singleplayer release came around. All three games will have their core audience be there.
>get picked to be Bahamut >the entire field chases you for your gold bar >if you survive for 5 minutes straight, Transcendence activates and you one-shot every grub guy still on the field
literally a better version of Evolve.
>Guy was abandoned by his dad who was an adventurer as a baby >One day his sky island (Think Skies of Arcadia) gets attacked by the evil final fantasy empire who is chasing a mystic girl >He dies defending her but gets revived by mcguffin life link magic that binds his soul with hers >Fricks off to discover her origin as well as find his dad and assembles a giant crew along the way
You forgot but Danchou was actually planning to leave the island already before the final fantasy empire attacked. Since he had gotten letter from his dad to come look for him on the island of astrals. But then right when he was about to leave Kat and Lyria crashed on the island
rape
>players knowing too much and optimizing everything kills every game in every genre
>lets make frame data visible in game
This here
Also I'm getting kinda old now so my response time is kinda shit now...
there are people literally older then you who have better reaction times
shut the frick up and learn

I mean you can apply this to tac shooters and RTS/Mobas also
>he uses training mode
>he doesn't just learn everything by feel playing against other players
ngmi
you certainly sound like you do a lot of "feel playing" with your friends, homosexual
stay going 0-2 Black person

bet you love being surrounded by a bunch of dudes at once.

That's neat .What do you get for doing it? I'm asking because i sort of know you get something but not sure exactly what.
Pretty sure they give you alt costumes that are closer to the original designs like Metera's booty shorts and Zeta's non-skirt that shows off her panties.

That's not.
Metera's also removes the bra strap on her back

I hate fighting games because of the annoying arrogant, gay morons it attracts.
team tournaments are fun to watch
Wheres the bottom half
people who hate fighting games are subhuman
>GBFV relaunch in November just to get killed by another better anime fighting game (Project L) in a few months later
yikes
>Tag game
totally separate demographic
yeah yeah we will see..
>He thinks Project L is coming out any time soon
Also, T8 and UNI2 both release in January, Riotshill
>T8
Mexican game
>and UNI2
autismo shit for neets

>Project L isn't ani-
it isn't
it was developed by weirdos in california
>Bro is not anime because uhhhhhh is just not anime okay!?
it's not my fault if you don't want to accept it
Not fault you try to deny that doenst look "anime" for whatever stupid fricking reason in your head
it looks like mobile slop and it isn't anime
Shit looks like WEG lmeow.
Is Project L even coming out in the next 3 years?
>crouch
>move forward
>punch
>suddenly fireball
????????
Fighting games are stupid
Sex with potatoes
Training mode nowadays are pretty cool. Can't wait for Rising btw.
I hate versus because the english voice acting sucks and i cant switch to the japanese. Im unironically playing the jp version of it because I can’t stand the dub
>and i cant switch to the japanese
????
What do you mean
I hate every fighting game that isn't Guilty Gear +R.
But I was told Versus/Rising isnt anime fighter
It's like 1 step removed from KOF and SF. The closest thing to anime games it has is being able to air block air normals and projectiles
>closest thing to anime games it has is being able to air block normals and projectiles
They just like Street Fighter Alpha a lot.
It only looks like it.
Koihime Enbu looks anime but it doesn't play like your usual anime fighter.
So like are anime fighters harder to play? Shit like Under Night looks wild.

Nah i like fighting games because it rembember me when i was a kid and i play it in the arcades anon
sex with harvins
Im happy gbfv flop
keep adding more homosexual and Black folk in your game
That Fall Guys mode is going to keep at it healthy levels and it's free.
Would LOVE to see the free version with fall guys and the fighting game to be separate so we can see the sheer difference in player counts though.
There arent even any Black folk in it, and the only actual homosexual character is still missing from the game somehow

I will buy it at 2025 after all the DLC came out and its on sales for 3 bucks
I'm going to pleasure myself with this potato
What the frick is Granblue even about?
Gay Adventures in the Sky ft. lots of shortstacks
>Guy was abandoned by his dad who was an adventurer as a baby
>One day his sky island (Think Skies of Arcadia) gets attacked by the evil final fantasy empire who is chasing a mystic girl
>He dies defending her but gets revived by mcguffin life link magic that binds his soul with hers

Shameless Final Fantasy 14 ripoff in JRPG form.
A gorilla that only knows three words.
>Sky
>Blue
>Lyria
I only play arcade anyways so idc
This is the first fighting game I'll buy in a long time, I hope to get good with it just because I love potatoes.
