We're dealing with one sick son of a b***h?
I don't get it.
Boomlennial meme.
>It'll happen to you.jpg
Pre-revival Family Guy joke, notable because they got Frank Welker to play Fred for it.
It's fricked up to me that this game is 20 years old. I can't be getting old!
I remember seeing ads for it in gaming magazine back then
holy frick I'm old
>Be 7
>Parents get you this game
>Enjoy it
>Cut to 21 years later
>Looking at this thread in a retro vidya board, because it's retro
Frick man

sheeiiittt i had to be around 6/7 when someone (dont remember who now) got it for my birthday.
Great game. Replayed it a couple of years ago.
They're dropping him off at the beach, aren't they?
>he doesn't know it's "Scooby" because he likes scuba diving
He's more of a spelunker, according to Daphne
which scooby doo game is this?
Night of 100 Frights.
its the best one, I tried playing the others and they're ass, even as a kid I could tell
not retro
seethe
It was originally going to be a completely different game for the PS1.
this looks awful
>this looks awful
I like the prototype intro with the roller coaster ride. It was clearly incomplete and has missing textures. The animated cutscenes are a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes they look good, other times the character models look a little off. I like the PS1 polygon environments. But the game looks unplayable.

It looks like a weird mix between the 1960's show and a 1990's iteration. There's some bizarre character framing and other weirdness going on.
Mystic Manor?
Clearly unfinished animation
This actually doesn't look bad, though. The monster has a 1970's-ish look.
This is like looking at an alternate universe where Scooby Doo had some 90s TV cartoon series not by Mook and isn't Pup named Scooby Doo.
Putting the SD gang in a haunted abandoned mining town sounds like an excellent concept, in some ways it's the perfect way of updating a 1970's series for the post-Reagan era. They might've gone with a general Horror-Western theme.
They did that in Mystery Mayhem.
Awooga
The animated cut scenes are interesting in the PS1 beta. They do look like they are unfinished or early versions, in some cases. The charactr designs are a mixed bag. Like the old man in the hat looks like he could've came out of Freakazoid or the later What's New Scooby Doo. The waitress could have come from any random 1980's HB series. The Scooby Doo gang look like a cross between the 1970's era Scooby Doo and the later 2000's series. Audio sounds non final.
Freddy looks strangely Lupin III-esque
Ok so it's not just me. Everything is just...off about Fred's head, it's like they wanted him to look like he does in Zombie Island and What's New but refused to go all the way.
Fred looks like he is high as a kite
Not soulful enough
I should figure out if this game was actually any good of if I've just convinced myself it was from nostalgia.
I recall it being a Crash Bandicoot clone with janky controls. I don't know if I'd call it GOOD but there's worse games out there. I thought it was fine when I was a kid.
Let's make it even more soulful
Imagine the smell
Let's plot a course.
Lucky for you I'm a dog lover
Is SkeeBall /vr/?
he really is smelling the salty sea air in that moment
I can hear Velma talk about saving your game
Thoughts on this game fellas?
I like it but it feels unfinished. Getting every collectable is a nightmare and there's no reward for it.
this is pretty much my opinion. good game but they did not need to cut so many corners to get it done. feels too cheapy.
You sure that aint Velma?
RIKES! CRABS!
JEEPERS! IT'S DA CREEPER!
