You think “hard” games are better because you are addicted to the false sense of achievement and pride that comes with overcoming a challenging game. If you had a career or real aspirations to work toward, you wouldn’t mind games with normal difficulty. Games should function as a way to decompress after a long day of actual tasks and achievement. Games that are artificially difficult for the sake of difficulty are for actual losers, not to mention “casual” games are usually more fun. You can’t refute this.

Sure I can refute that. People who are driven want games to be easy? Then explain the literal demographic shift in any mmorpg when you go between the pvp/hardcore pve community and the RP/overland easy content community. It’s a pretty stark drop off in quality of person.

Depends on the game for me. If a game's mechanics allow me to dodge basically all incoming damage through enough skill, then I will go for the highest difficulty. If a higher difficulty is just -% damage dealt and +% damage taken with a bunch of hitscan enemies I just play on normal.

I've never liked playing a game because it's difficult. I just enjoy good games because I like vidya as a hobby.
I like Sekiro because it's good, I don't give a frick about achievement and don't feel "proud" because I have beaten a game., I just enjoy playing a good game and appreciate its gameplay, aesthetic, atmosphere, etc.
You are projecting into other what you believe they think, but that's just what (you) think.

My net worth is in the 7 figures. I do not enjoy difficulty in real life. Challenges to overcome in videogames or in fun competitive settings like chess or martial arts however? Sign me up.

Ya no, you just got filtered by sekiro and it’s not even a hard game. It’s literally a rhythm game and you can beat every encounter if you actually listened to the motto of the game, hesitation is defeat. Get filtered and get good

I easily can by saying I don't exclusively play hard games. I like playing ARPGs for example where the gameplay loop is dead simple and takes no brain activity at all. I also like Sekiro and souls games very much

Feel like tarkov is significantly more difficult than any instance in any souls game every match, and with much higher variety. It does feel good to get out of a raid juiced, even though you get shit on 50% of the time

Your argument imagines a person that exclusively plays "hard" games. You lost from the get-go.
What happens when a person both enjoys playing Animal Crossing and Sekiro? Do you shit your pants because it doesn't fit your strawman?

You wanna be comforted by virtual pixels after a “long day hard at work” I want my brain to exercise even more after my hard work by playing games that challenge me and reward me for using my brain.

Keep coping moron. Regardkess, the whole point of a GAME is to be challenged. If a game cannot be challenging it cannot be interesting. Keep coping with whatever excuse you need to feel better about yourself since you are too childish to just admit something is too challenging for you.

OP you're failing to comprehend that some people are just better at games and don't actually find "hard" games hard at all
Just because you're not as good at something as someone else doesn't mean you have to try and devalue their experience in the process
Some people are better at art
Some people are better at sports
Some people are better at games
It's not their fault you're a casual b***h that got filtered by, god forbid, a baby game such as fricking sekiro

I play hard games and have achieved a lot so far in my life. shits's about to get real in the next 12 months and those are going to be the most trying times yet.
