First, Prey is not a classic. Second, Human Head has acknowledged they were merely the studio contracted to do grunt work. The game's entire design had already been done by 3D Realms. Human Head had virtually no creative input. Human Head was just hired to implement the already complete design. And in id Tech so they can't even claim they did a lot of engine work.

January literally explains to you that you need multiple audio logs of Danielle to synthesize her voice for the randomly generated voice activated door lock to Deep Storage. It's actually exactly how AI works now with AI generated voice lines, you need to supply the AI with a wealth of reference material for it to even begin doing anything. You're complaining about a game you haven't even played because you're a fanboy for a game you will never get to play, truly a Ganker moment.
Not to mention you can circumvent the entire quest by just finding the body in the freezer.
