ok, I'm probably going to buy it to play with my frens. But is it also fun to queue solo? or is it like Deeprock Galactic where it's pure cancer with random tards?
I've been playing it mainly solo
I don't talk in chat or voice with crossplay off on Eu and it's been fine

Sometimes you'll find random who knows what they're doing and their playstyle matches yours and it feels amazing.
I have played mostly solo. If you want to play on higher difficulties don't be afraid to type in chat; coordination is key. The pin/callout system is also something you will master so you will rarely have to type anything, and intelligent players will understand what you're trying to do. Don't completely disable voice comms; you can individually mute people if you want. But if you're playing on <6 you can get away with never hearing anybody.
Deeprock is usually fine with randos, what are you on about? Are you sure you're not the moron?

Make sure to be the host. Don't want to do a 40 minutes mission only to be DC'd or kicked just before the mission ends and ending up with nothing. Don't worry, as soon as you pick a mission people join you usually don't even have time to change your gear before your lobby is filled

my drive already died down, but to be honest its not the game's fault it's fun and I still get on from time to time to play a couple missions but it's just that people like me are so poisoned by GAAS that I was expecting content drops every 2 weeks or something.

Only a hunch given leaks but chances are vehicles unless they have something else in mind.
Most people seem to think it'll be that clusterbomb rocket launcher that got leaked a while back, since the automatons semi-recently got their oppressive aerial units and we still don't have any real anti-air strategems. Might come out alongside the Eagle Air-to-Air Missile strategem that was also leaked.
There's a warbond on the second Thursday of every month. The release pattern goes:
>New Warbond
>2 weeks
>New Strategems
>2 weeks
>New Warbond
this is the first time we haven't gotten new content for 2 weeks and we'll probably get new stuff tomorrow
there is no other game that has the cadence like Helldivers
repetitive, linear shooter slop. If any of the other goyslop shooters were still any good the game would be forgotten by now.
Good game, 140 hours in and currently taking a break until they add the ayys.
Fun with friends and randos can be hit or miss
it has great gameplay but in its current state you run out of progression pretty quickly. they're going to need to be pretty aggressive about adding stuff to unlock for it to hold interest.
It's extremely fun but holy shit they need to patch it. Half the unlocks don't work, half the guns have half the dps of the other guns, some damage types don't work, crashes, connection failures, everything.
It's got a lot of bethesda effect. Funny bugs are great, everyone loves a gif of an enemy getting rocketed into the air from a collision bug. Your new gun being absolute dogshit and your new unlock not doing anything and then the match crashes and you all get kicked out, that's not fun.
Can't run it so I haven't played it. It's probably good.
I call it Redditdivers as well but I also have 150 hours in it. It's still fun. Disable crossplay so you don't have to play with actual redditors.
if you have friends to play this with and i mean actual "we joke around and actually have fun together" friends the game is amazing because there is so much dumb shit in it that you and your friends will not stop laughing for a long time
