>promises to solve OLED's inherent organic issues while also being cheaper to produce
A pure pipe dream, companies would lose millions making a product that actually lasted a long time without flaws
i've got a nice high refresh rate 1080 IPS and a 2080ti and if i upgrade either i'm going to need to upgrade both and i don't feel like spending that much money on video games
@663544032 >Dont listen to coping LCDs gays with buyer's remorse.
Big fat cope here, I don't have any buyers remorse I think caring this much about colors is gay. as long as my display looks right and is full HD that's all I care about. No >>(you)s for you bad dog.
Been using OLED laptops since 2017 and my current one is pretty good enough, will consider a new laptop/monitor when they reach 1000 full screen brightness.
>1 year warranties >screen is fricked after 18 months >twice now >my oled tv screen just went breasts up too few days ago
I'm itching for civil war now, my rage can't be contained
homosexual frick you, i know how to look at a fricking screen, I'm not poking them or pissing on them.
Pulled an ancient crt out of storage btw, STILL WORKS
Strangely enough I have an OLED TV with my PC hooked up, but I do emulation of retro games on a smaller LCD monitor simply because I don’t like playing retro games on a giant tv even though I know I should be using the OLED, I can get in the zone more with just one monitor and no distractions, but I love playing gzdoom wads on a giant TV. I’m actually moronic with how I use my shit.
>anything above 144hz displays
Enjoy your new graphic card's coil whine that's directly correlated to the framerate you're pushing because they're getting worse and worse for each generation.
OLED, uLED, whateverLED, im just glad LCD's are finally fricking dying. uglyass flat-looking backlight-bleeding motion-blurring horseshit plaguing media for decades, they didn't even deserve to replace plasmas.
S
They look good enough that I don't give a frick about burn in. Still too expensive though. I wonder what will happen first: OLEDs become affordable or we finally get consumer Micro LEDs.
what if pholed displays come out before that?

i use a 120 year old nail clipper
>gaming monitor
more like gooning monitor
Nope, I will probably never switch to OLED.
Unless all manufactures completely stop making LCD, I will still be using an LCD display.
>TFW a CRT to Plasma to OLED boy
Ive never felt so superior to another human than I do right now.
>superior
Yes being the beta tester of any technology.
Anon OLED is well outside beta version. If improving over time is beta then everything is in beta anon.
Dont listen to coping LCDs gays with buyer's remorse.
this is like people who refused to move from CRT's except 100x more moronic because unlike CRT's LCDs offer nothing positive over other display tech
LCDs are very affordable and don't suffer from burn-in. That's two big positives.
Yet they look like shit in comparison to both CRT and OLED.
Yet they look good enough to make most people decide not to spend several times as much.
>you WILL get burn in under 3 years
>you WILL get a refurbished product via RMA
>you WILL be unimpressed by the image after spending 1.5 grand
>he thinks you can rma for burn-in after 3 years
You're giving them too much credit already.
>reading comprehension
you can buy 10 year warranty you know from LG
>spending 1.5 grand
Bwahahahaaaa, no. My $250 28" Samsung UR55 will do nicely.
I just use my TV, max size and power
qd-oleds have shit text clarity
I dont think id ever use an OLED as a non gaming monitor.
please do not fall for QD-OLED, wait for more WOLED panels
accept no substitution
>QD-OLED, wait for more WOLED
This or that, when it's as cheap as OLED now.
I’m too careless about leaving my screen on, and power management schemes are just a WEF cuckolding power play.
i'm not spending that much on a gaming tv
ever
>$900
I would consider it for 1/3 of the price or less.
i've got a nice high refresh rate 1080 IPS and a 2080ti and if i upgrade either i'm going to need to upgrade both and i don't feel like spending that much money on video games

Sorry I use superior technology
which chink game is that

Obviously you are using it incorrectly!
You can't just display things on a display to suite your every whim!
I am a plasma user for 16 years and a Oled users for 3 and no burn in, yes that homosexual is doing something wrong.
homosexual frick you, i know how to look at a fricking screen, I'm not poking them or pissing on them.

Apparently not.
I bought a 1080p IPS monitor in 2023.
Same. 120Hz, IPS, 1080p, 1ms response time. All I need as a rhythm game autist.
Maybe if it burns in after like 8 years instead of 2 if I use it as a computer monitor.
t. have no space for those 42" LG TVs
I take care of my monitor, I don't see myself needing a new one for a long time.

if you have anime girl picture backgrou8nd go kys
Anime website
Companies love OLED since the burn in means you have to buy a new one eventually.
If Burn In reality isn't an issue give me 10 year burn in warranty
>anything above 144hz displays

Who /1080p IPS 60hz/ here

Based, LCD was a major step backwards in display technology and its push has been catastrophic for humanity.
>they didn't even deserve to replace plasmas.
Anon im a plasma bro, but plasma didnt have the marketshare to be considered replaced.
Yeah nah, I'm waiting till microLED.
They look good enough that I don't give a frick about burn in. Still too expensive though. I wonder what will happen first: OLEDs become affordable or we finally get consumer Micro LEDs.
I have an EIZO monitor, I'm sure that by 2040 when I'll need to replace it there are better technologies available than OLED.
Yeah, I have one now and it's awesome.
no 24" OLED panels yet so I'll stick with TN.
