By far one of the worst Gen 7 picks. Decidueye, Primarina, Tsareena, Golisopod, Pheromosa, Tapu Koko, Zeraora, Lycanroc and Mimikyu all would have been better choices.
I was a Grinch skeptic so I wasn't mad on that front but I didn't pick Litten in M or US so I was kinda ambivalent about the pick. He ended up being one of my favorite characters to play though. It's just as well cause it's not like Kin Corn Carn was ever in contention, you know?
>barely any single player modes >awful adventure mode compared to SSE and even Melee's >worse online than Sm4sh which you also have to pay for >overpriced DLC >most content is recycled from past games >spirits are a terrible replacement for trophies >most characters fight the same bosses in Classic Mode >no playable Ashley
Because it's just a bunch of "gaming's greatest hits" with no cohesion, you might as well play that game with shaggy at that point
also smash's gameplay just sucks so the stupid roster shit just gives people less reason to ignore it.
Looks like an even more soulless and forced decision. Choosing recency over actual franchise relevance, or even just sheer novelty, is always gonna age poorly
Yep, also doesn't help that baracat is pretty much a failed shillmon and they went straight to shilling the owl, so it being added to Smash aged even poorer compared to the other mons (yes even Jigglypuff) in Smash it stands out like a sore thumb.
Yep, so popular, theyu gave it a "sorry you're a shitmon" form as apology. the YOUNGEST pokémon to get a regional form in the series (one generation old).
The internet likes decidueye. The meatspace doesn't. That's why it historically polled dead last of the Alolan starters each and every meatspace poll undertook and why they turned a school shooter-esque sniper into a more cohesive archer warrior.
Still a bad decision
I would of honestly preferred Raichu as a heavy Pikachu clone like how pichu is a light Pikachu clone or even plusle and minum as an ice climbers duo
I forgot it was even in Smash
It's the most fun character to play as

Not even close
Tapu Koko was the best choice, we need more legendaries
>Decidueye, Primarina,
Numales and Trannies still seething to this day
>Lycanroc
begone, smashboards
Same lol, after Gen 7 ended it kind of fell off the face of the earth in general.
still pretty lame choice and gameplay
Belongs in FNAF instead of Smash.
Still my main alongside Dedede, love his playstyle and he's got a lot of good attention recently thanks to Skyjay stomping the brackets.
I can't believe Ultimate managed to be more disappointing than sm4sh.
sucked then, sucks now
it's a non-legendary "caracter Mon" + it looks fricking ugly
I was a Grinch skeptic so I wasn't mad on that front but I didn't pick Litten in M or US so I was kinda ambivalent about the pick. He ended up being one of my favorite characters to play though. It's just as well cause it's not like Kin Corn Carn was ever in contention, you know?
how did a game with so much fanfare end up so forgettable
>barely any single player modes

They should have kept releasing dlc until the end of the switch life cycle.
casually bare and competitively bankrupt by inevitable overtuned DLC
The very first DLC char is still borderline broken to this day.
Because it's just a bunch of "gaming's greatest hits" with no cohesion, you might as well play that game with shaggy at that point
also smash's gameplay just sucks so the stupid roster shit just gives people less reason to ignore it.
lame but I will admit he earns the place due to Smash's general lack of heavy weight grapplers
I was hoping for Marshadow but I was content with him
Looks like an even more soulless and forced decision. Choosing recency over actual franchise relevance, or even just sheer novelty, is always gonna age poorly
It boggles my mind that fan favorites like Gardevoir or Eevee still aren't playable.
I can think of at least 5 Pokken playables that would've been more appropriate
Yep, also doesn't help that baracat is pretty much a failed shillmon and they went straight to shilling the owl, so it being added to Smash aged even poorer compared to the other mons (yes even Jigglypuff) in Smash it stands out like a sore thumb.
>they went straight to shilling the owl
Source?
HE'S PURE SEX
5 years? what? i still remember these like yesterday
I quite frankly forgot it happened. Even if it were a different gen 7 Pokemon, that wouldn't change. Should've been some other series
Why no fully evolved grass-starter?
They weren't popular until Meowscarada.
Decidueye is popular
Yep, so popular, theyu gave it a "sorry you're a shitmon" form as apology. the YOUNGEST pokémon to get a regional form in the series (one generation old).

>They weren't popular until Meowscarada
it's not
it's not byleth
Overrated boring game
He's not just a great Pokemon but also one of the biggest love letters to ProWres.
I still don't like its design but its animation work in Smash is excellent.
Still a bad decision
I would of honestly preferred Raichu as a heavy Pikachu clone like how pichu is a light Pikachu clone or even plusle and minum as an ice climbers duo
Do people even realize why incineroar was chosen in the first place?
Soccery guy thought it was cool
What a gigantic homosexual
