i wish they would just shift the entire company to finishing balkans, finishing scandanavia, do a uk and going east rework, and then shift the whole company to cranking out american states. it feels they are spread too thin. finishing america is going to take ages.
trucking is a terrible job. Youre constantly on a time schedule, you have top piss in bottles, the real life jobs take days as opposed to an hour or so, it basically requires you to get addicted to wakeup pills, theres almost zero actual rest stops anywhere, and it has one of the highest rates of suicide for any job
I've put a number of hours into ETS2 and the main reason I've stayed away from ATS is that the larger trucks sound like a pain to drive, and I have enough issues with the Euro trucks as it is (I'm a casual player). But the graphics look nice.
I got it at launch, 100%ed it and grabbed a handful of states but rarely play it now. Waiting patiently for TN and FL. I'd be pissed at how the manage the DLC but I think in the long run it was a worthy purchase. I hope they start making more regional offers w/ the DLC in the future.
trains are more interesting than trucks
trucks look the same everywhere, control the same everywhere, and do the same things everywhere
trains in one country can be completely different from trains in another country
the 2 part trailers are an absolute pain in the ass to turn with and the special deliveries are aids
i'll play it when they add my state, so probably never
What's your state?
>What you want from your cross-country trucking simulator?
>I want to stay local.
???
it's fun
i drove past my town and it's reasonably similar to the real thing

What states do you want to get done anon?
all of them.
It's mental how terrible the UK is in ETS2 and they haven't done a DLC for it. GOing East was also a terrible DLC they need to re-do.
Playing in VR is simply comfy as frick. No other description.
Why don't just become a real life trucker at that point?
I'd have to see and maybe even interact with Black folk, you never know.
because video game versions of all vehicle sims are more fun because there's no real life bs, you just enjoy them.
because i like taking a shit when I feel like it.
most actual jobs are 75% bullshit you hate and 25% shit you like. sims are superior in every way

plus a 5k fee to get your license
But you get to drive away from it all... just you and your truck... surely that makes it all worth it?
if youve ever driven across a state just to go on vacation/to your grandparents or whatever, you can already see how boring it is
Used euro and this to learn how to drive a uhaul. Also how to drive on the left for my new Zealand trip. Good games.
I feel guilty when I play this game like I should be doing something else, same with shit like the Sims.
Just like America itself, it is vastly inferior to Euro Truck Simulator 2 in every way.
why is that, I would figure they'd both be the same game
they are
he's probably just a euro, so his thing is better.
that's how they all think.
People only "think like that" because it's true.
Who are you quoting?
Me. I think and speak like that.
ETS 2 best TS.
Ok.
I've spent 352 hours in it. I go on a binge after every new state.

I want to play India Truck Simulator if I'm being honest with you
>first state is California
>live in california
>the part I live in is done as half assed as possible and looks nothing like how it does irl
The map is 1:20 scale, what do you expect?
I expect the forest to look like a forest, not the central valley
Commiefornia should just be nuked anyway
stay mad
I'm not mad, just telling the truth

Yeah no shit.
i prefer train sims

Well, why do you like them?

>train sim, japan
Yes.
I like it, it's good n comfy. Plus, I only own the base game and pirating the DLCs is ez pizi
Put on Art Bell coast to coast and drive away
>instead of continuing north after Kansas and Nebraska, they go down to fricking Arkansas after
>Kansas and Nebraska
Flyover states
